MS Paint was the cradle of creativity for many blossoming artists. It was used by millions until Adobe changed the game with Photoshop. MS Paint has remained unchanged for years and it’s good to see it being put to use. It’s easy for some “rad-ass graphic designer” to recreate these in PS4, but it takes a true visionary to use such an out-of-date program to create these masterpieces.

Lil Wayne performs live at the MTVU Spring Break in Panama City Beach, FL. He performs A Milli, Prom Queen, Got Money, and one of my favorites Every Girl. Drake, Jae Millz, and Young Money join him in the live performance. I never did get to attend spring break. Yeah I know that is weak.

Lil Wayne and his upcoming Rock album have hit a bump. The original release date for the album was scheduled to be April 7th but has been pushed back to May 9th. Universal Music is not that keen on releasing the “Rebirth” album because it seems like a really bad business choice.

Lil Wayne had the top selling CD of 2008 and Universal doesn’t want that cash flow to end. Everyone else just wants some new Lil Wayne Music. Lets hope for a mixtape soon or something.

CBS’s Katie Couric recently sat down with the Hip Hop phenomenon that is Lil Wayne, to discuss his journey to the top as he is currently nominated for 8 grammys.

Lil Wayne is unarguably a unique artist, a character unto itself. From the 9th Ward of New Orleans, Lil Wayne dropped his first album at the age of 12.

Today Lil Wayne is a Hip Hop superstar with an unparalleled following and a music catalogue to make any emcee think twice.

His fans see him as Lil Wayne; their idol, but Wayne views himself as “a gangster” who works “extremely hard”, which results in “greatness”. “A gangster” in the sense that he does what he wills, taking orders from no one.

Wayne tells Couric, “I don’t take nothing from noone, I do what I wanna do…if I cant do that I’ll just die.”

The interview shows a different side of Lil Wayne as he and “Ms. Katie”(as Wayne calls Couric) bowl; one of his favorite pass times.

The conversation struck a more serious note when Couric asked Wayne, why not use his given name; Dwayne.

Wayne’s response, “I’m a junior and my father is living … he’s never been in my life, so I don’t want to be Dwayne. I’d rather be Wayne.” Understandable Wayne.

The interview struck moments of intimacy like this and when Couric grilled Wayne on his social habits.

Couric questioned Wayne about his past “addiction” to the drink Sizzurp, however Wayne assured her that he is not addicted.

When asked about his habitual weed smoking, Wayne blatantly expressed his support for marijuana use, stating that he would “stand up for marijuana any day”. Bravo Weezy!

This led Couric to mention Wayne’s ten year old daughter and a two month old son, asking; does he feel like he is a good role model to people on how to live their lives?

Wayne did not hesitate to make it clear that he is a great role model, but only for two.

Whatever your opinion may be, Lil Wayne is to be respected as an artist and a man.

As he says, “…you worry about yours, and let them worry about theirs, I got mine.”

As a guy who was often referred to as a “Lil Wayne Hater”, I must say that I am proud of Weezy this year. In 2008 Wayne decided to allow the good to outweigh the bad and he kept from doing anything extremely gay. Cut back on his “Weezy F’n Baby’s” and callin himself “Jr.” and so on. He did go out and get his lip pierced, but I will write that off as he was suuuuuper piff’d (high). Wayne got himself a marketing agent and found some legit endorsements (minus the condom company and Jeezy’s clothing label). Wayne put out a solid CD. Wayne made a documentary… wait, what?

C’est peut-être un gimmick de plus, à ranger aux côtés du “sucez” de Al K-pote et du “RAAHHHHHHHHGN” de Iron Sy, ou peut-être est-ce une réalité. On va pas rentrer dans le débat, on risquerait de lui faire mal.

North Carolina and New Jersey fans expecting to see Lil Wayne this weekend will again be forced to wait, as the New Orleans emcee has canceled two big arena shows in Raleigh and Atlantic City.

According to Ticketmaster, this Friday (October 31), the rap star was scheduled for a headlining performance at the RBC Arena in Raleigh, NC.

Obviously, things happen, when your on the road and you expect venue mgr’s to have everything in order and setup when you get there. That doesn’t always happen, I know from experience and seeing when stars are booked you have to make sure that the venue is in condition for a excellent show. Wayne shouldn’t show up to a venue and the sound system is poop! If you got the money to book Lil Wayne then your venue should have a sound system thats A+ certified (or least sound like it!).

As for the Fans, I know how it feels to be on the other end when you spent all this money to see these guys perform and they don’t show. Sometimes it’s devastating, to others its just more of a reason to f*ck with that artist less. In this battle, your pretty much helpless (unless you make undisclosed amounts of donations to that venue for a better sound system! LOL), so I would continue to buy the music & just try and trust the venue that hosts the artist. If the venue doesn’t look funny and the ppl are on point, then you should question the artist.
