Here’s a couple of reasons why Will Smith is the coolest guy on the planet and why he earned his nickname.

Wednesday. The first day of the week without students. I was happy to finally be on some sort of v

Wednesday. The first day of the week without students. I was happy to finally be on some sort of vacation. And I’ll admit that I will treat it as such. I got up this morning around nine o’clock or so and watched “Dr. Phil” on T.V. and then decided to watch “Frasier” with Heather for a little bit. We did talk about some good news that we found out yesterday. We have a debt consolidation company that is going to help us with our predicament with my wage garnishment. They are going to cover my loan with Citi Financial, our student loans and a few other loans all in one payment that will cost less than my wage is getting garnished for. That will help IMMENSLY! One discussion with a lawyer proved to be worth it’s weight in gold. As a matter of fact, according to the company, my wage garnishment should come off in my next paycheck. It will also help to keep my tax return from getting taken in January, if I have one that is. The way Obama is spending my money, I probably won’t have one!

I decided that although I’m not a huge fan of the “Twilight” series, my daughter is and I thought it was only fair to take her to go see “Full Moon”. So, we left before we ate lunch and went there and saw an eleven a.m. showing of the movie. We got home and I started to play “Call of Duty 4” online for about two hours before walking away because I didn’t want to get too addicted. Which I pretty much am anyway so I decided to get to work on my clone trooper helmet. I have so much to do on that helmet, it’s not even funny! I started to bondo some more seams and worked on trying to finally seal in the helmet. I got most of the seams done today. Hopefully, I will be able to get a majority of it done by the end of the weekend. My goal is to have it done by the time Christmas vacation is over and then save my pennies and get some clone armor and start to put the whole thing together. I got done working on the helmet and then decided to play some more of “Call of Duty 4”. After a while, Heather told me that the mechanic that was going to help us with the car wanted the car. So we raced out to Sanitaria Springs and dropped the car off with the mechanic. On our way back to the house, he let us know that he needed to replace the axles on the car and that would run us another two-hundred dollars or so. So, we told him to do it and reached deeper into our pockets. But, it was still cheaper to do it with this guy than deal with a shop.

We got home and ate some late dinner and then watched “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “The Office” and then had to go back out and pick up the car. It sounds and seems to run much better than it did before. Definetly no squeaking noises coming out of the car when I stop now. We came home and I then played “Call of Duty 4” for about another half hour and then watched our usual TV shows for the night including “Old Christine”, “Garry Unmarried”, “Glee”, and “CSI NY” and then went to bed.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 2 of Chapter 19 of “Star Wars – Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry…..Chapter 19 (Part 2): As Barriss headed back to the medical ward, she passed by a trooper that was starring at a wall and she had treated him earlier so she asked CT nine-one-four why he was here. He was in perfect health and had been discharged. The trooper explained that one of his mates, trooper CT nine-one-five was still in surgery. Jos then cut in and said that trooper didn’t make it. The soldier said that loss of his fellow trooper was unfortunate, but Barriss felt that the trooper felt a large loss and a huge amount of grief. But Jos sensed something was wrong and asked CT-914 if he knew the soldier. 914 said he thought of him as a brother, but Jos pointed out that they were all brothers and the clone thanked the doctor for his work and left. Jos looked at Barriss and said if he did not know better he would’ve thought that trooper was upset. Barriss asked Jos if he would be upset with losing a brother. But Jos said that those connections are taken out with the clone breeding. Barriss said that they may be cloned but they are still living, breathing beings that have the ability to think and feel. She told Jos that th clone was upset and that although they were bred for war, even Jos felt that CT nine-one-four was grieving ove the loss of a brother. She said that it obviously never occured to him and that doctors have horrible bedside manner and Jos stood there stumped at what he heard. That’s when Barriss realized that she had the aide of The Force and she apologized, but Jos gave a fake smile and left……

Tuesday and the last day of classes this week. I knew today was going to be chaotic and it fulfille

Tuesday and the last day of classes this week. I knew today was going to be chaotic and it fulfilled it’s prophecy from beginning to end. I got up this morning really early because Heather got out of bed around five o’clock this morning and had told me that she couldn’t sleep any more. So, she decided to go out to the living room to watch the news quietly to try and not disturb me. What she doesn’t realize is that when she’s not in bed with me, THAT disturbs me as well. I don’t sleep without my wife in bed. So already, I was in a sucky mood because I was basically up between four-thirty and five until it was time to go to work. I took a shower and ate some breakfast with the kids. We had some pancakes that Heather had pre-cooked last night. We watched some of the news on “The Early Show” on CBS and then I was off to work while the kids were off to school.

I got to school and set things up for only the second full day I’ve had with my students this quarter. We had our first official music theory lesson in all my classes. Most of the classes did well, but I still have that one trying class. I’m trying to be patient with the students and they seem okay. But those suspended students are still not around and could potentially change the character of the room once they return. I had a decent day with my students. I didn’t have much of a lunch hour. I played with the band and then the orchestra at lunch which meant I had about six seconds to eat lunch. Barely enough time to wolf lunch down between rehearsals. I got done with lunch and took care of some things around the room and sent out some emails that needed to be taken care of. I then finished my work day, shut everything down and was on my way home.

I got home and helped the kids with a little bit of homework. I then went downstairs and watched some episodes of “Life According to Jim” and worked on my blog and catching up on doing some computer work that needed to get done. Heather got home and I helped her make dinner. We ate dinner and the kids cleaned up while we watched “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “The Office” and then headed out to play rehearsal at the church. Our rehearsal went okay, but there is so much “goofing around” going on that I worry about how it’s going to come out in the long run. It just concerns me that not enough people are taking it seriously. We got done and got home and I missed the first ten minutes of “V”, so I taped the show and played “Call of Duty 4″ on my PS3 till the show was over and then watched it on tape and then watched “The Good Wife”. After that, Heather and I watched the news for a little bit and then went to bed.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 1 of Chapter 19 of “Star Wars – Mestar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry……Chapter 19 (Part 1): Jos, at times, felt as if he could call a person back from the dead. Of course it helps when surgerys go well, but there were times when he lost and death won. It appeared that the Gods were against him in regards to the clone on the table in front of him. After a run-in wiht some schrapnel, the clone was repaired in medical terms. But the heart had stopped beating and he clone stopped breathing despite all attempts to restart the cardiadic rhythm. But he had saved five others today, including one with massive injuries. He was frustrated by the fact that the clone with the extreme injuries lived while the clone with minor schrapnel was dying on the table. Proof that genetically identical clones do not handle stress the same way. Back when Jos was a new student in med school, he used to frequent a popular Bamasian restaurant that had cheap, spicy food. The traditional complimentary dessert was a cake ring about he size of a bracelet with a protein circuit that would display a Bamasian saying of wisdom as a holoprojection that would eventually die once the chip dissolved. One night, after having had a rough day with exams and other things he never thought to see, he broke his ring and it read, “Minimize expectations to avoid being dissapointed”. He found this wisdom helpful and plugged it into his everyday life from that point forward. There were times when he was stuck in an operating room where he relished the idea of doing something else with his life. He headed to the dressing room now and could really go for a bread ring to provide him with solace…..

Friday and I can’t believe that I finally made it to the end of the week. I had so much I wanted to get done today but I knew there were going to be limitations with what I was going to get done. I got up this morning and Heather had the kids going already for the day. While they all ate breakfast, I took a quick shower and joined the kids and Heather was then off to work. We watched the “Early Show” on CBS as they continued an interview with the boy that impregnated Sarah Palin’s daughter. He claims that he is not on TV to get attention. Right! Then why IS he on TV. He’s an interesting guy making claims that he has information to prove that she has done illegal things as governor in Alaska. If that is really the case, then why the heck doesn’t he jsut reveal it and have her arrested? I just don’t understand why people would want to get itno situations like that and not follow through! Well, I tried not to get upset with that and decided it was time to go to work and the kids were off to school.

I got to school and partook in an event called “Wear a hat to stop Cancer”. The idea is that you buy a sticker to wear at school which allows you to wear a hat at school all day (as opposed to a Halloween costume) and the proceeds go to “The American Cancer Society”. So, I bought a sticker and wore my hat that I won from ScreenRant.com that was the hat that Woody Harrelson wore in Zombieland. It was a cool hat and everyone was asking me questions about it all day. On top of that, we had an assembly of a group called “Sounds of Silk”. So, our classes were cut short and I had to cut short all the time I had to work with for music video projects and classroom podcast projects. But, the assembly went well and I was pretty impressed with what it was about. It was all based on Chinese and Eastern concepts and had music, dance, contortionists, and circus acts of all kinds. It seemed as though the kids enjoyed the assembly. I made it through my day and managed to take everything down before the end of the day. I finished with school and after nearly avoiding an accident after school, I made my way home.

I got home and did some things around the house a minute and then started to grade papers. We had to eat dinner quick and Heather took off to do a sport bus run. While she did that, I went downstairs and continued to grade papers while watching “The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire” and “The Office” and finished grading. When I got done, I started taking notes on the first two episodes of Season 2 of “The Clone Wars” online. While I did that, Heather came home and we went to Wal Mart and got some things we needed for around the house including some stuff for Halloween. We got done and came home and I watched “Stargate Universe” and then went to bed.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 1 of Chaper 11 of “Star Wars – Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry……Chapter 11 (Part 1): Mathal thought it was a joke as Bleyd had him disarmed at gunpoint. he told them they were insane! But Bleyd told him that the latch of the prize is locked but that the code is in his pocket. There is a knife in plain sight to arm himself and try to get the code from Bleyd with . Mathal threatens to break his neck now, but Bleyd reminds him that he is stronger and his race is more fierce. Mathal threatens that when he gets back to his vigo, Bleyd’s skull will be a cup. But Bleyd reminds him that he needs to get back to the vigo first. He told Mathal that he has two minutes to arm himself and that the next time they see each other one of them is going to die. Mathal ran off as Bleyd gave him the alloted time and respected it by waiting. He then walked down the corridor in the opposite direction knowing the weapon was closer to that side. His plan was to hide in waiting and kill Mathal as he tried to get the weapon. Bleyd couldn’t help but think that if he was hunting he would simply have pulled out his blaster and shot him……

In the 1990s, James Avery rose to fame playing the role of Phillip Banks on the hit NBC sitcom, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Ever since that sitcom left television screens back in 1996, it has been tough for most of the former actors to return to the limelight.

Like many actors that land acclaimed roles, James Avery was typecasted. All of the producers and talent recruiters still wanted him to be Uncle Phil. When Avery made it clear that he was more than that, he was reduced to a guest role on a sitcom every now and again.

It has not been until recently that James Avery has found some steady work. The past television season came under scrutiny because of the lack of pilots starring black actors were created. The NAACP was very close to protesting. As a result, a lot of television networks invested in black sitcoms.

Among those networks were Lifetime. Around the same time, Sherri Shepherd had been toying with the idea of a semi-autobiographical sitcom detailing her rise to fame. The end result was her new Lifetime sitcom, “Sherri.”

After a thirteen year hiatus, James Avery has returned to the spotlight. This time around, he plays Redmond, the father of Sherri in the series. His new role is a far cry from his days as Uncle Phil, but he is still the daddy of the series. James Avery is finally back on television in a starring role.

Tuesday. It was a busy weekend and I was busy yesterday, but it was not all in vain. I am so excited for Halloween this coming weekend, but I have SO many things that I need to get done and get through before that point that I can’t even begin to think about the weekend till I get through the rest of this week! I got up this morning and the kids were already up with Heather getting ready for the day. Heather wasn’t up for too long before she had to leave to get to work to drive bus. I then got my shower and joined the kids for a breakfast of oatmeal while we watched the “Early Show” on CBS. Nothing big to talk about this morning on the show, but you could see that they were reaching for something! We got done and I was off to work while the kids were off to school.

I got to school and set up for all the things that needed to do in class. It was going to be an interesting day. I had all sorts of things that I wanted to get done with my students. With some of them I was very successful and got a lot accomplished. With others, I didn’t get much accomplished at all. All well, that is the game that educators play with students each and every day. I did okay with students and some of my students actually finished their last lesson on music theory in their workbooks and look like they’re really ready for their final exams. I made it through my work day with relative ease and things seemed to go well. I had a meeting with someone I had been trying to for a few days now and that meeting seemed to go pretty well. I got done grading papers and did some things around my classroom and then headed off to SMASH.

We had a good SMASH rehearsal. It went well and Jim and I were pretty happy with how it went. We have a LONG way to go to get ready for a performance, but we’ll get there. I got done with rehearsal and came home and joined the family for dinner. We had shepard’s pie and watched some of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and then “The Office” while we ate dinner. After dinner Heather headed out to play rehearsal and I went downstairs and played “Call of Duty 4″ on the PS3 for a little bit to blow off some steam and then worked on grading more papers and then worked on debugging computers again. I then did some technical work that took me into one in the morning of Wednesday. While I did this, I mostly watched “The Office” reruns on TBS before going to bed.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 1 of Chapter 10 of “Star Wars – Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry……Chapter 10 (Part 1): The female human lab tech was laughing at something that was said at another table and that was all it took. She laughed and it reminded Jos of a primary school girl he had made laugh by hopping around like a Selonian with a hot foot. He starred at the food on his tray knowing that he had to eat even though it wasn’t the best meal ever. Jos sighed to himself as he thought about where he would be without the war. He would be on his own planet of Coronet having a private practice with a family, wife, children, and a home. At least in his dreams. No, he was not hungry, but he could sure sleep for a week with ease! He knew he was a surgeon, but to be doing it everyday with no breaks was getting taxing. He couldn’t help but think of the clones as dolls that he patches together again till they go out in the field and finally get the life ending wound. There were days he wished he weren’t so good at surgery. Maybe a job in bio-robotics wouldn’t be so bad. But being in a Rimsoo was better than the front line. Jos thought about his initial attraction to the Jedi Barriss Offee and he knew she was off limits, but it did nothing to undo his feeeling of loneliness. He simply stared at his tea as he contemplated his thoughts…..

As we sat in lit class last week, talking about our final paper, our professor made a jab at the unhealthy things grad students do in the name of getting their work done. He’s of the opinion that the experience doesn’t need to be nearly as bad as we make it.

But, you know what? I love all-nighters.

Seriously.

I know, I know, they end so badly on TV. The tortured study session that ends in Carlton’s laptop plug getting pulled and Will drooling on his textbook on the kitchen table. So many people who fall asleep before the work is barely started, let alone finished.

But, no, not me.

It started senior year of undergrad, end of the spring semester (you know, when the whole charade was pretty much over). I had poems due. Fiction due. A long paper that answered a post-modern question using literary criticism as the answer. Before that year, my answer to unfinished work was to leave it unfinished. In my life, I have skipped finals, ignored midterms, eschewed entire papers. Why? Because I could. Because it never seemed worth the effort.

And then I decided I should probably not do that anymore.

The idea had been festering for a while, slowly coming out in smaller ways. Actually reading for classes, turning in work on time. And then I realized that the only way to truly get things done is to invest in the hours where we’re all supposed to be asleep.

I discovered something that first night. If four is a reasonable bedtime (especially, say, on the weekends in college) and five is a reasonable waking time (especially, say, in the real world), then the hour between four and five is this untouched space where everyone probably really is asleep.

Something else I discovered that first night: don’t wax pothead about times when everyone in the time zone is sleeping.

Regardless, I fell hard for the form, especially upon entering grad school.

I love the spinning buzz of too little sleep, too much caffeine, the way words snap from the brain to the computer. Regardless of what the caring lit professor says, I’ve already started planning the appropriate nights for each of my classes, for the miscellaneous I haven’t been able to get around to for the past two months. And if I’m totally dreading the day after already, I’m doubly looking forward to that long stretch of night.

(Moral of the story: this is what happens when you don’t do things like drink. Then you can pace this stuff out accordingly and not do dumb things like stay up all night.)

Life Goes On.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Saved by the bell.

Boy meets world.

The Wonder Years.

Remember how traumatized you were when they replaced Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince with a different actress? New Aunt Viv was lighter and brighter, but a thousand times less funny. And everything she did just reminded you of how much better Old Aunt Viv was. Case in point, I dare New Aunt Viv to do that episode about turning 40 and auditioning at the dance studio. Forget it.

Kara’s the same way. She’s younger and prettier than Paula, and I understand why the change was made. But every time she tries to do some cute banter with Simon, it’s gonna feel manufactured. Everything she does is gonna reek of effort. Paula always looked like she showed up five minutes before taping, took two sips from the magic Coke cup, and was like whatever happens happens. Like, Paula consistently had no idea what she’d be doing ten seconds in the future– she might be critiquing a kid, crying on his shoulder, or getting his number. Kara, on the other hand, was always ten seconds ahead and well rehearsed. That might help the Fox execs breathe easier, but it makes for really boring television.

I wanted to like Kara, I really did. I oohed and smiled when she got mad and went up against Bikini Girl. But when the cameras went live, her commentary was just… meh, not insightful. Paula was loopy too, but every now and then she would drop a bomb on someone. Like, a “What I’m about to say will change your life and your entire perspective on music, but you must first be willing to decipher it through slurred speech and garbled sentences like you’re reading Matrix code” bomb. Paula had the authority of having been an actual American idol. When she told you to wax the car, you knew you better put that guitar down and wax the car.

It’s hard to replace a dynamic like that, especially with someone like Kara, a pop singer who didn’t make it. Even through her cheerful demeanor, there’s something depressing about it. She’s seen the business end of the industry and it told her she wasn’t good enough. You can’t help but wonder if there’s a hint of envy in her critiques of contestants, if she doesn’t still think about being on the other side of the table. You can’t help but wonder how many Bikini Girls– prettier, less talented, and less inhibited– she watched get deals ahead of her. You can’t help but notice that even as a judge, she seems conspicuously aware that she’s being judged. Whatever heart Paula brought to the show has been replaced by Kara’s thinly-veiled industry cynicism. Placed next to Simon’s ice-cold pragmatism, it might be too much.

But Idol goes on. Maybe it’ll go the route of Fresh Prince. Maybe with Old Aunt Viv gone, everyone else will be forced to step up their game and crank out some fantastic television. Remember the episode when Will’s father came back? Or when Uncle Phil sued Will and Carlton for rent money? Or when Will got shot? All those happened under the New Aunt Viv regime. If they could make it work, maybe Idol can too.

Or maybe it’ll be like Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Either way, I’ll still watch.

Yesterday, we ventured to our local Burger King to partake of its flame-broiled and fried food products as included on the BK Value Menu. The experience might’ve made others angry; however, for us, it was a comedy of errors that culminated in pure enlightenment. We’ve opted to elaborate in simple prose in the style (and slight plagiarism (Thanks, NBC Productions)) of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and, thus, give you The BK Pipe Theme Song:

Now, this is a story all about how
Our BK experience was turned upside down
And we’d liked to take a minute,
Just sit right there.
We’ll tell you how we almost left BK with change to spare.

In West Springville, cattle are born and raised
At the BK, it’s where we spend some of our days –
Orderin’, piggin’ out, drinkin’ beverages all cool
And laughin’ at the employees still in high school.
When a couple of guys,
Who at takin’ orders were no good,
Started messin’ food up in our neighborhood.
We got one jacked up order and got a little scared,
Dan said, ‘He keeps getting’ it all wrong, that dude sho’ ain’t aware.’

We repeated and repeated our order that day
But he put stuff on the screen and tried to tell us to pay
We corrected him over and over again,
But it nearly seemed impossible that we’d ever win!

We looked at each other and said, “Yo. This is bad.”
But we couldn’t help but laugh at this messed up lad.
Is this really what they mean to “Have it your way?”
Finally we stopped tryin’ and rolled up to pay.

But wait, what’s that he’s givin’ change for my $10?
The total cost was $9.35; he messed up again!
I said to him, “Yo, man, you gave me too much!”
“You only owe me .65, take back these bucks!”

Well, the dude finally did the math and pointed to stall 1.
“Wait up there, please. I’ll bring your food when it’s done.”

Three cars passed when we finally got the grub.
No kid’s size shake, no nuggets, no mustard.
BK man ran back inside and we said, “Werd,”
“Dude must be smokin’ something awfully good.”

Saw the BK man comin’ a little nearer
His face read confused, and his eyes weren’t any clearer.
If anything we could say that dude wasn’t right,
But we thought, ‘Nah, forget it’ – ‘Yo, have a nice night!!’

We pulled up to the house about 7 or 8,
And we looked at the food, understandin’ our mate.
Although this dude appeared that he was not so bright,
We finally knew what he’d been smokin’ – it was the BK Pipe!

Ele mesmo, Carlton Banks do seriado “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” ou “Um Maluco no Pedaço”.

O pequeno Alfonso deu vida ao pequeno Carlton Banks, primo de Will Smith, na série “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. O nome do episódio é “I, ooh, baby, baby”, de 1995.

"Let my people go..."

Entre seus trabalhos como diretor, estão as séries “All Of Us” (2004 a 2007), “In The House” (1997 a 1998), “One On One” (2005 a 2006) e outras.

Eu quero.

Ele sempre usa Jordan I. Antes que alguém fique na curiosidade (Olha, na verdade, sei que ninguém vai ficar curioso): Will Smith, provavelmente, nunca apareceu usando um Air Jordan I no seriado “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”.

Porém, nosso amado orelhudo apareceu usando o Air Jordan I nos filmes “Hancock” e “Hitch – Conselheiro amoroso”.

Today I want to tell you about my favourite actors. These are on the one hand Will Smith and on the other hand Jennifer Garner. In the following I’m going to tell you about Will Smith. Why I like him, why he is so special in my opinion and certainly about his films.

Who is Will Smith?

Source: britannica.com

Name: Willard Christopher Smith Jr.

Date of birth: September 25, 1968 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Occupation: Actor, rapper, film producer, record producer and television producer

Willard Christopher Trey Smith III (December 1992, 1st marriage)

Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (Juli 1998)

Willow Camille Reign Smith (October 2000)

I like him because:

He is a great actor because he plays a lot of different types. Actually I think this is the point. I like comedies, action and dramatic films. These three genres are the main types he plays. And I think that is the reason, wherefore he is on of my favourite actors. The first time I´ve seen him was on the serial “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. I saw every season of the series. I liked it very much, it was a great amusement .

He is special because:

I think he is special because he is very funny and of the other hand serious (e.g. “The Pursuit of Happyness” & “Seven Pounds”). I watched a lot of his films in the past and in my point of view non movie was bad, the most were absolutely great and others were O.K. (e.g. Hancock, Will Smith was great, but the story of the film not really).

Movies & serials:

But my conclusion is that “The Pursuit of Happyness” is my favourite movie.

You can get more information about Will Smith on his official website and on a Will Smith blog.

What do you think about Will Smith, do you like him? Do you think he is a great actor or do you have a different opinion about him? Which movie do you like at most? Who is your favourite actor? Pleas tell me about your view. I would be pleased about your comments.

A lot of movies, tv shows and games have cool theme music. Look at Halo for example, 95% of people buy it for the multiplayer, the other 5% for the cool theme music.

Today I’ll be looking at some theme’s that I think truly are the best. Themes that really, well, set the theme. These will be in order from good, to ultimate supreme theme ruler of the galaxy! Since I’ve already mentioned Halo, I won’t count it but you can check out the theme here. No, Mission Impossible and James Bond did not make my short list (I’d add more but I don’t have a lot of life experience being 14 and all).

Now, the first theme on my list is fantastic. You should all know this one, if you don’t I recommend you see your doctor, or continue to read. Like a lot of American sit-coms, it revolves around friends and a coffee shop. Well, it’s Friends then isn’t it? Yes the only song the Rememberants were remembered for was “I’ll be there for you” a.k.a the Friends Theme Song. Here it is, in all it’s friendly glory, they couldn’t have picked a better song or a better show.

This theme, is awesome, once again, it really sets the mood for the show. In fact, there is not much to be said about this except that it is amongst my top five favourite shows on tv. The “NCIS” theme song is sensational and the show itself is one of the best cop shows around, only second to “Life”. Take it away Youtube player!

Another tv theme and the second best theme song on my list, could best be described as jiggy. A boppy, light rap song that is rather amusing. Everyone and I mean everyone should know this one. It’s a story all about how, someones life got flipped, turned upside down. Yes it’s “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song. Woo hoo! Please enjoy.

Finally, it’s time for the most epic theme of all time. A theme so good, I don’t deserve to speak it’s name. It puts others to shame is what it does, I don’t know how the man did it. Nothing can stand against it. Why? “He’s a Pirate.” That’s why. Klaus Badelt really nailed this one. The theme made Pirates of the Caribbean 10 times better. Now, watch and soak up the pure awesomeness. Savvy?

For an awesome acoustic version, go here.

There you have it. My top four theme songs.

Now go forth and watch movies and televison!

I was just watching this show after a long long time. Man, I love it! I coined the title this way because this show is indeed a breath of fresh air. You end up laughing hysterically every second of the episode.

For those who’ve never watched it, here’s the gist:
Will (Will Smith) is a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who is sent to live with his affluent relatives in a Bel Air mansion. The story is about how his carefree and madcap ways clash with their sophisticated and uptight lives.

Will dancing, Jazz on the drums

The best part of the show is the characterization. My favorite character is Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro), the geek who thinks so highly of himself.

Carlton Banks

Do check out the show if you get a chance. (you can catch it on youtube).

Today on Music Monday we are going to look at TV show themes that use actual songs. There are a coup

Today on Music Monday we are going to look at TV show themes that use actual songs. There are a couple out there that are actually really good songs and not just catch phrases for the TV show title. So why don’t you pull your chair closer to the computer screen and then click the play buttons on these elongated TV show openings.

The Von Bodies- C’mon, C’mon (Rescue Me )

This song perfectly captures the feeling of it’s TV show. Fast paced and a little erratic, both the song and show grow on you even though when you look at it you know you should hate it. Grubby Detroit Rockers and Denis Leary should not mix as well as they do. But this just happens to click right, listen to this song and you will want to go check out the show.

Lazlo Bane- Superman (Scrubs)

I’m not a big fan of Scrubs but I do really enjoy this theme song. It has that laid back Californian feel to it that is perfect for the nice weather that some of us are having. If you are a fan of the show then you know that you already love this song, and if you are like me and you don’t like the show you can still respect them for using a great song as there theme.

Joe Cocker- With A Little Help From My Friends (Wonder Years)

If you are old enough to remember the Wonder Years then you might be old enough to remember who Joe Cocker is. He was pretty bad ass back in his day and when you watched the Wonder Years you couldn’t help but enjoy this song at the beginning of each episode. It is one of those songs that has a lot of truth to the words that are said in it. I implore you to listen to this song once and pay attention to the lyrics, then once you are done look up the Wonder Years on the net because it is one of the greatest TV shows that has ever been made.

Will Smith – Fresh Prince of Bel Air (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)

Okay you know what it is. You know the words to the theme song but here is the full version of the song for you. If you can remember the words to this version then you are a King.
