Frankreichs Finest, Wax Tailor, hat ein neues Album mit dem Namen “In the mood for life” fertiggestellt. Wie dieses entstanden ist und die Arbeitsprozesse des vielseitigen Produzententalents aussehen, kann man sich nun in einem liebevoll produzierten “Making Of” ansehen. Sehr erfrischend dieser Sound. In Frankreich ist Wax Tailor seit seinem ersten Album permanent auf hochrangigen Chartsplätzen vertreten und spielt ausnahmslos ausverkauften Hallen. Im Dezember erreicht er auf seiner Welttournee auch wieder Deutschlands zentrale Anlaufstellen.

Quattro giorni di musica antagonista, proiezioni, workshop. Decimo anno di vita per Adunata Sediziosa, sorretto dall’autonomia politica e dall’opposizione sociale. Programma musicale da non perdere, con la prima data in Campania degli LNRipley (drum’n'bass “suonato” da Torino, con Ninja e Pierfunk dei Subsonica), The Herbaliser dj set e The Zulu Warrior.

Adunata Sediziosa si terrà dentro e fuori lo storico centro sociale Officina 99, che ha visto “nascere” la storia della musica napoletana degli scorsi anni, come 99 Posse ed Almamegretta. Sempre attenti ai nuovi suoni, i ragazzi del centro sociale di Gianturco, tengono a sottolineare che “Adunata sediziosa è la festa delle realtà antagoniste, dei centri sociali, dei movimenti di base, di quanti pensano che questo non sia l’unico mondo possibile, di tutti e tutte quelli che si battono per il cambiamento e la trasformazione sociale”.

Poi continuano:”Adunata è uno spazio di musica e di cultura alternativa alle major ed all’impresa del divertimentificio cittadino,
libero dalle logiche di consenso al potere e a chi governa”.

Dupa cum am spus si in ultimul post, am fost inca o data in Parcul Izvor, de data aceasta nu pentru o seara house, ci pentru una ROCK ! Este genul meu preferat dupa house asa ca m-am simtit cat se poate de bine; nu prea mai auzeam la final, dar hai treaca de la mine…e normal la ce boxe aveau. Am ascultat “The Herbaliser” si “Guano Apes”, incalzit de un “Zdob & Zdub” inaintea celor doua. Lumea era in delir: unii la propriu de la bere, altii la figurat de la muzica.

Daca nu v-ati dus deloc deloc, va recomand macar maine, in ultima zi, sa fiti acolo; poate va place macar Stefan Banica Jr. Si au o bere buuuna…yummy ! Totusi, luati-va pelerinele de ploaie: nu da voie cu umbrele si dupa cum probabil ati observat, va ploua.

The Herbaliser Band is an offshoot project from long-running UK jazz/hip-hop duo, The Herbaliser. Although The Herbaliser put out an album just last year, The Herbaliser Band hasn’t had a new release since it’s debut way back in 2000. With Session Two, the Band offers up 11 tracks (plus a little secret song) of smooth, instrumental jazz fusion that’s mellow without being dull. Short vocal samples are dropped here and there to keep things interesting. Various bits from what sounds like news coverage of the moon landing on “Moon Sequence” are particularly enjoyable. Though the music has a distinctly 1970s feel, the modern touches, like top-notch turntablism for example, are there and blended perfectly with classic horns and electric piano. The music covers a period of 12 years from Blow Your Headphones to Same As It Never Was (from which we got the killer, ‘Can’t Help This Feelin’’). But, as ever with The Herbaliser, these guys are funky with a eye on the cinematic (inspirations of the Quincy Jones, Lalo Schifrin, John Barry breaks heritage here) that really suits these instrumental versions, just check out ‘Moon Sequence’ or ‘Amores Bongo’ (that’s one for the Blow Up crew) to see what I’m on about. Not convinced? Well, the opener, ‘Mr. Chombee Has Flaw’ (no typo) is what this album is all about with huge horns and a jazz dance beat; if you don’t get his there’s something amiss.‘Geddim!’ (from London Town) is all fast and funky al a ‘Bullit’ with scratches and energy and synths that confirm this is an essential for the summer. The three ‘preludes’ are suitably psychedelic-jazz and can be slipped into mixtape intros but all of the big tunes are big tunes, particularly ‘Another Mother’, ‘Stranded On Earth’ and the space-jazz funk of ‘Blackwater Drive’.

Cariera muzicală a lui Ştefan Bănică jr este impresionantă, artistul având la activ 11 albume de studio şi peste 1.000 de concerte susţinute în întreaga ţară.

Un eveniment cu tradiţie internaţională

Produs de Emagic Entertainment, Tuborg Green Fest se va desfăşura în perioada 4-6 septembrie, în Parcul Izvor din Bucureşti, iar accesul publicului va fi gratuit. La eveniment şi-au confirmat prezenţa trupe româneşti şi internaţionale precum Chicane, Guano Apes, The Crystal Method, The Herbaliser, Zdob şi Zdub, Şuie Paparude şi AB 4.
Conceptul Tuborg Green Fest a început să „zguduie“ Europa începând din 2005, când încă de la primele ediţii fanii au avut ocazia să se bucure de show-urile live ale unor artişti renumiţi ca Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kaiser Chiefs sau Metallica.
