Nearly everyone has heard of Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh (post-impressionist). When I hear these names I think of pastel colors and bold brushstrokes, applied with great skill and care, with a desire to evoke emotion, uncompromising in their devotion to the human capacity to understand how beauty is all around us, to feel, to sense, to interpret what has been committed to canvas and conclude that this world is a lovely place. 917 more words
