In the meantime, let’s take a break from 80s synth-pop and instead post some Finns who look like they gave too much at the blood drive and playing what my friend Mike likes to call “beard music”. This is Nightwish (MySpace here, Bebo here), a band that my friend Eric clued me into, with The Islander.

I have just one teensy question for you film makers out there: Where the hell is the color? I mean, almost every single movie that I’ve seen of late has been in shot in black, white and muddy shades of blue-grey, and everyone looks like extras from Underworld. I mean, what, did you lose the rest of your colors in the fire?

If perchance you did, I recommend you look into this really neat thing called Technicolor. It’s a little new – only 93 years old or so – but you nutty kids with your soda fountains and your rock and rolling music will love it.

A real man forgets a woman for her lies!

Ok, deci ma gandeam ca tot postul sa fie despre asta … da nu cred ca o pot face.  De ce? Pentru ca imi place foarte mult sa ma exprim … mai ales in ultimu timp a fost un numar destul de ridicat de cititori … stii cum e cand ai acel sentiment de implinire? Stiu, in ultimu timp am deviat rau de la … ceea ce-mi propusesm, dar sincer cum a zis si Cristina mai de mult … diversificare. Ca sa faci lumea sa citeasca ceea ce tu scrii nu tre sa faci niciodata ceva monoton. Eu niciodata nu am reusit sa fac ceva de care sa ma tin, ceva care sa ceara un program si ceva munca. Asa ca … uite aici sunt, imi fac programul meu si ceea ce fac eu nu o pot numi munca catusi de putin. Eu scriu asta pentru a ma relaxa, mi-am dat seama de un lucru … cand incep sa scriu imi este foarte greu sa ma opresc. Degetele mele incep sa alunece pe taste ma pierd intre cuvinte … nu imi iese de multe ori ceea ce vreau eu dar cand o fac sunt destul de multumit de rezultat.  Niciodata nu am crezut ca o sa pot avea atata libertate de a ma exprima si mereu mi-a cam fost frica sa spun ce simt. Am gasit o cale de a o face si totusi nu credeam ca atatia oameni o sa citeasca ce scriu. Nu ma consider un scriitor si nici bun pe deasupra, sunt doar un copil mediocru cu niste idei destul de mediocre … care crede ca prin cuvinte poate schimba ceva. Poate schimba ceva in lumea asta o lume care doar cu, cuvinte mai poate fii salvata, razboaiele nu ne-au dus nicaieri … violenta nu ne v-a duce niciodata nicaieri. Dar cine, cine mai asculta? Toti facem ce ne duce capu, atatia oameni mor din cauza violentei … incepe sa-ti fie frica sa-ti lasi copii seara afara. Incepi sa-ti maresti pasii in drumul tau spre casa cand vii seara de la munca, tresari de la orice sunet cand te intorci seara obosit la ai tai? Nu mai avem siguranta zilei de maine … cu atatea lucruri care se intampla in lumea asta. Cu atatea informatii, atatea lucruri se pot intampla. NU, nu vom fi distrusi de zei sau de “extraterestrii” vom fi distrusi de ura … de mandrie. Dumnezeu ne-a dat prea multe, prea multe pentru ca noi sa le putem face fata. S-a dus de mult inocenta copilariei … incepem sa crestem sa ne confruntam cu viata, vedem problema banilor de mici … incercam sa facem si noi ce putem … sa-i ajutam pe parinti. Ei ne dau tot ce vrem si noi totusi ne purtam urat cu ei, le vorbim urat si rareori ii ascultam. S-a dus notiunea familiei … s-a dus notiunea respectului. Numai este mult pana cand … lumea va incepe sa putrezeasca din interior … nu stiu cred ca ma repet … cred ca am scris ceva asemanator mai sus … insa eu nu prea fac asta … nu citesc ce am scris de doua ori. Nu am facut acest blog doar pentru a avea ceva pe care sa-mi pierd timpul, stiu ca oricum nu exista multa lume interesata si mai stiu ca si aceea care mai sunt vor inceta sa-mi mai citeasca mie “povestioarele” in curand. Dar vreau macar ca atat timp cat cititi … macar printre randuri … sa stiti ca eu nu o sa-mi retrag niciodata acele cuvinte … si ca nu, nu-mi exprim opinia pentru a va face pe voi sa credeti ceva sau nu. Stiu am scris cateva chestii, dar la mijloc apare si oboseala, nervii sau dorinta de a fi ascultat si atat. Sa citez ceva de la Buddha “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” Insa cat “common sense” mai e in lumea asta, lume condusa de minti mult prea inalte pentru a fi intelese de noi? Cati oameni nu si-au pierdut vietiile in cautarea adevarului pentru ca la sfarsit sa ajunga la intrebarea “De ce?” … cati oameni nu au incercat sa schimbe ceva si au fost pur si simplu redusi la tacere chiar de cei pe care au incercat sa-i schimbe. In fine nu cred ca ajunge nimeni sa citeasca pana aici, si eu m-am cam pierdut printre cuvinte asa ca … nu stiu. Nu prea are rost sa mai …  scriu acum. Mai am niste idei dar prefer sa le tin pentru mine(Sile : nu mai bine scri “Mai am idei dar ele vor fi expuse mai tarziu ” ?)…sau asa … Vreau sa la multumesc celor care citesc si iau in cosiderare catusi de putin povestioarele mele!

Si uite asa, inca odata ma simt mai bine ca am putut sa ma pierd un sfert de ora in lumea cuvintelor.

15 minute, 800 cuvinte, o singura melodie.

Nu stiu vroiam sa fac un post special pentru melodia asta sau ceva … dar niciodata nu am putut sa fac ceva, ma pierd cand o ascult sentimentele mele o iau razna … si totu se invarte este o melodie pe care daca nu o asculti de doua ori si nu poti sa simti o melodie degeaba o asculti.

Asa ca tu draga cititorule daca ai putea sa asculti melodia asta in timp ce citesti as fi foarte mulumit (da e stupid ca am pus asta la sfarsitul blogului da eu asa fac … intai ma uit cat este de citit si apoi… OOoohh numai citesc…)v

Hay canciones que no necesitan de mayor explicación, generalmente cuento porque subo cada tema.
Pero esta vez, no es necesario.

Tyler Brown brought so much laughter into the world; he was one of those unique individuals whose goofy antics, fearless quirks and smiling face always made me smile, whether I was hanging out with him on dust-covered blankets at outdoor parties, chillin’ at the Produkt Dance Studio as the day dripped by, or ripping up the dance floors of Pioneer Square together. Even from LA, his hilariously weird Myspace status updates brought plenty of giggles to my life, as I could picture his face as he talked about glass toast and Typhoid Mary’s razor.

My friend’s status is now final. Rest in peace, Tyler B. A boat cruise will soon be sailing to raise money for his family, a small comfort but a benefit nonetheless. MEMENTO is brought to you by Produkt, Kryptonight and Rockit Science and sets sail June 14th and features the beats of Wheelz, Myk, Soundwave, Jisaan, Andrew Luck, Sonny Chiba, Von Dewey, and Nick MC.

I am getting really fucking sick of writing up blog posts about benefit events for the families of my dead friends. This sucks.

Tyler leads the party parade at Build Up for Operation Apex; following behind him are dozens of people carrying speakers and other gear to set up for the outdoor, one of the best parties of the year.

R.I.P. Tyler Brown, and watch out for the one-eyed one-horned flying purple people-eater.

Udah lama banget gue pengen bahas tentang band yang satu ini. Nightwish… Band ini bisa gue bilang punya musik-musik yang asik banget. Mereka digolongkan ke dalam aliran Symphonic Metal, namun masih kental banget nuansa gothicnya. Band asal Finladia ini udah berdiri dari tahun 1996, tapi gue rasa musik mereka yang bener-bener asik sejak mereka ganti vokalis dari Tarja Turunen jadi Anette Olzon.

Salah satu lagu Nightwish yang gue suka adalah The Islander. Lagu ini punya nuansa akustik. Dengan sound-sound dari bagpipe dan gendang. Cukup sederhana tapi nada-nada di lagu ini membangun lirik lagu ini sendiri. Duet nyanyi Marko Hietala dengan Anette Olzon pas banget.

Lirik lagu ini sendiri kayak dongeng yang lagi dinyanyiin sama mereka. Dan videoclipnya menggambarkan persis isi lagunya sendiri. Walau lagu ini kedengerannya agak sedih, tapi enak banget. Kalo pengen liat videoclipnya, ini gue kasih di bawah. Sekalian sambil baca dongeng/lirik dari lagu ini juga..

Откакто Таря напусна Nightwish не съм слушала групата. Не знам защо, май защото н съм се сетила.
И онзи ден ми попадна този клип. Казах си “яяя?”
Признавам, бях впечатлена (повече от видеото, отколкото от звука, но все е нещо.
Много симпатично направено а и музиката е в хармония с историята на клипа. Е като изключим едно “Орландо Блум??” и няколко подобни шокирани изражения, на твърде нежно изглеждащите изпълнители, крайният ефект е… любопитен.

With its new vocalist, Anette Olzon, Nightwish is definitely back. After their new album in 2007, Dark Passion Play, the legendary Finnish symphonic metal band took on the world with a tour. For those who have missed it or couldn’t get enough of Nightwish (like vampire hunger for blood, I know I did), the wait is finally over. The DVD records some pre-show footage and the live concert at The Enmore Theatre Sydney (why does it always have to be the concert in Australia? This is the third music video from their newest album Dark Passion Play. The lead singer for this single is not Anette though (no, not Tarja either!), but Marco. If you’re familiar with Nightwish, it’s no doubt that Marco is good at heavy metal and hard rock. Yet I was never sure about him with songs like this (remember his scary performance in “While Your Lips Are Still Red”?) He truly delivered in this song though, showing he can sing outside his comfort zone. Reminds me of how Tarja always sings as if she’s telling a story. Rock on, Marco.

Ho provato a fermarlo fuori dal campo di allenamento. Ho cercato di strappargli confidenze sul futuro del mister e sul suo futuro. “A 36 anni non è venuto il momento di pensare di appendere gli scarpini al chiodo e fare spazio ai più giovani ?”. Emidio Carta mi ha guardato come se fossi un alieno. Avrebbe voluto rispondermi per le rime, magari ricordandomi che per la Serie D, Emidio Carta è un signor giocatore che può dare ancora molto alla sua squadra in questo finale di stagione e nella prossima. Dal suo sguardo è facile capire che di appendere gli scarpini al chiodo non se ne parla, almeno per un altra stagione. Lo dice il suo sguardo, ma il silenzio stampa imposto dalla società vale anche per lui.

Emidio Carta è arrivato all’ F.C. HILTON in questa stagione ed ha conquistato da subito un ruolo importantissimo dentro e fuori il campo. Come non dimenticare la straordinaria prestazione offerta contro il Carbonia F.C. ? Purtroppo le strategie di tournover l’hanno visto fuori dal campo più volte di quello che un tifoso dei Pegaso Nero-Oro riuscisse a digerire. Un ragazzo si è avvicinato mentre tentavo di strappargli l’intervista. Sembrava stesse guardando un idolo di Serie A tipo Navarri del Pontassieve. Autografo ed è scappato via.

Alla fine Emidio Carta non ha risposto a nessuna delle mie domande. E’ salito in auto, ha acceso lo stereo einfilato un cd, poi ha preso la tangenziale per andare al campo di allenamento. Oggi si gioca il secondo turno della S&K Cup e da quello che mi è sembrato di capire… Carta giocherà anche se voci di corridoio prima del silenzio stampa non lo davano in forma.
