Since it’s a slow day in sports, here’s a few of Tiger Woods most angry moments. It never really dawned on us how much he yells his own name and how often he drops a good old fashioned F-bomb and G.D. If you aren’t a fan Tiger Woods you should get a solid laugh at this. If you are a fan of Tiger Woods, well, you know just as well as everybody else that he’s a baby. Sorry, we’re not sorry.

Before the skittles, before the “Beast Mode” and before the DUI’s, there was “The Sizzler” for Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. That’s right, the sizzler. Here’s a throwback clip of  Lynch beasting it in high school and giving all the credit to his offensive lineman. He expresses how broke he is, but he’d figure out a way to treat his big men to some Sizzler action.

Because Mark Sanchez sucks and we want the whole world to know, we’ve devised this clever list of ten “people” who can throw better than him. For his career, Sanchez has thrown has only thrown six more touchdowns compared to interceptions. To be exact, Sanchez has 58-interceptions and 64-touchdowns. Those numbers aren’t going help him surpass the legendary “Broadway” Joe Namath in the New York Jets fans eyes. On the bright side, at this rate Sanchez should be excited to possibly be held in the same light as Brett Favre. Don’t get that confused, that’s not intended to be a good thing. Favre holds the NFL record for career interceptions with 336. Keep it up “San-chise” and you’ll surely challenge that one and become a legend in your own right.

Terrell Owens is no longer taping his ankles in preparation for taking on an opposing defensive back, because he’s too busy taping them up after they got broken in a game of one-on-one versus YouTube sensation, Mani Love. Love, a little person,  challenged the former All-Pro and current NFL wash-out to a game of one-on-one during a recent gym outing. Owens started out a little hesitant, and with good reason. In the end, the 4’5” baller served up some humble pie to the 6’3” Owens and won convincingly. Must be tough to be Terrell Owens right now, he’s un-employed, broke, behind on child support, too old for the NFL, and now… he finds himself on the losing end of a pick-up game to a man almost half his size.

LA Galaxy forward and soccer icon David Beckham stopped by the Ellen Degeneres Show this week and had a little fun. Beckham, with the help of Ellen, had a little bit of fun with an unsuspecting massage therapist. It’s always nice to see when an athlete of Beckham’s magnitude can shed the serious side and show some a sense of humor.

Two days after former embattled South Carolina Gamecocks tight end Weslye Saunders was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers, he has gotten a second chance. On Tuesday night, Saunders signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts. Saunders went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft after a series of mistakes, while at South Carolina, caused his draft stock to plummet.

In his rookie season, Saunders caught four passes for 29-yards and a touchdown. During the offseason, Saunders was suspended for the four games of the 2012 season for performance enhancing drugs. Saunders was unexpectedly cut by the Steelers this week after his suspension was lifted. With the emergence of Leonard Pope as the teams No. 2 tight end, Saunders all the sudden became expendable.

We spoke with Saunders prior to the 2011 NFL Draft and he expressed that he was making the positive moves that would prepare him for a successful NFL career. Saunders would have to work the hard way after going undrafted and making an NFL roster. Saunders earned a spot on the 53-man active roster for the Steelers in 2011, but this latest setback might have been enough for the Steelers to turn their heads and move on. We wish the best for Saunders in his newest adventure as an Indianapolis Colt. Saunders finds himself in a fight for playing time as rookies Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen are already established as the teams No.1 and No.2 tight ends. Saunders is no stranger to overcoming the odds, if he wants to see the field and earn snaps, it’s going to require Saunders to overcome those odds once again.

There’s no place in college football for a dirty play like this, in fact there’s no room for a play like this in football at any level. Alabama redshirt freshman defensive lineman, LaMichael Fanning was flagged on a play in which he brings unnecessary roughness to a whole new level. While Alabama was proceeding to literally roll the Missouri Tigers in the fourth quarter, Fanning made a tackle on the Tigers running back, Russell Hansbrough. Except it wasn’t really a tackle, it was a full-on suplex.

Fanning was flagged on this play and not ejected. It was clear that Missouri didn’t appreciate the move by Fanning as the offensive line targeted him on the next two plays. Fanning is even seen pounding his chest, smirking and laughing as he came off the field after losing his helmet in a skirmish.

If Fanning is not suspended by the SEC on this play, it would be a total disgrace. On top of an SEC suspension, head coach Nick Saban and the Alabama football program should be disgusted enough on their own behalf and tack on their own punishment. Shame on them if they don’t, because this is disgusting.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will enter Death Valley in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday rocking some new duds. Under Armour specially designed the Gamecocks new “Battle” uniforms for Saturday’s top-10 match up. In the past, the alternate uniforms haven’t exactly worked in Steve Spurrier’s Gamecocks favor. It’s a little nerve-racking if you believe in superstitions, seeing as how the Gamecocks are No. 3 in the polls, the highest ranking since the 1984 “Black Magic” team.

With a handful of elite prospects on hand along with a record-setting crowd of 85,199 at Williams Brice stadium, the now No. 3 South Carolina Gamecocks entered the national spotlight by handing  No. 5 Georgia a complete throttling. We all now at this point that the Gamecocks defeated the Bulldogs 35-7. But for those who weren’t on hand for this monumental win, here’s a little taste of the atmosphere on hand this weekend in Columbia.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Bears rookie wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a hand fracture. Jeffery currently leads all NFL rookies with 184-receiving yards. Jeffery has hauled in a collective 14-receptions for two scores on the season.

Jeffery, a second round pick from South Carolina has already played a vital role  in the Bears offense thus far in the 2012 season, complimenting Pro-Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall. Jeffery was seeing most teams weaker DB’s as the focus remained on Marshall. Jeffery is not expected at this point to need surgery, but is expected to remain in a cast during the duration of his injury.

Jeffery could potentially fall victim to the injury reserve, ending his rookie campaign. The impact that he has played this season remains in his favor to come back and return to the No. 2 receiver role. Should he not recover within that 4-6 week window, expect to see the rookie sensation’s season cut short.

The unlikely Oakland A’s finished off a their final regular season series by sweeping the far more talented Texas Rangers. In the process they managed to snag the AL West title, for the first time since 2006. Meanwhile, while the players were out on the field celebrating, there was a special little fan out there cheering his heart out for his beloved Oakland Athletics. The creepy part, the dude is pushing 60-years old and takes his celebrating to a whole new, kind of pathetic level. You have to appreciate the enthusiasm, but this is a wee bit too much.

If you can’t wait until Sunday to see No. 52 Clay Matthews take the field and destroy opposing quarterbacks, have no fear, he’s not that far away. It appears these days that Clay Matthews has officially dethroned Broncos QB Peyton Manning as the commercial whore of the NFL. Whether it’s a Zaxby’s commecial or a Suave commercial, Clay Matthews is everywhere! A good majority of these commercials are just plain garbage too. If you don’t have cable, we’ve done you a favor and attached a collection of some of Clay Matthews’ greatest commercial performances. We’re big fans of what Clay Matthews can do on the field, not so much fans of his acting career.

Last Years Epic Beatdown

Finally, the NFL has opened their pockets and come to terms with the regular NFL officials. No longer will we have to hear stories of the refs discussing their fantasy teams with players, and partying after the games with fans. The muscle is back and Ed Hochuli means business. When the news was reported that the lockout was over, NFL referee Ed Hochuli was quoted by saying “I dropped down to the floor and started doing pushups.” Welcome back Ed. Everybody, minus Golden Tate is happy to see you guys back!

We recently caught up with Nationwide Tour member and Twitter funny-man Andres Gonzales. Gonzales, a product of UNLV has expanded his brand in the golfing world by rocking a mean fu-manchu and sporting a pretty sick mane. Gonzales has also caught some nationwide attention through his social media activity and his quirky attempts of contacting Tiger Woods via Twitter. Get to know a little more about one of the sports worlds most interesting characters. We’d like to thank Andres for taking the time to chat with us and provide us with some pretty entertaining material.

1.) Drive for show… Or putt for dough?

“If i could drive for show, you could bet your right ear I would be doing it.  There so so many guys, especially your college guys that come out and can absolutely send the ball these days.  The biggest thing that I have learned in my game is that I am not one of the longest guys and rely more on my talents around the green.  I am a great putter and that is where I make my dough.”

2.) You’ve been growing your hair out for “Locks Of Love.” How long is the hair going to get until you have reached your goal? Also, how long have you growing it out?

“I have been growing my hair out since Sept. 18, 2009.  I need ten inches in a pony tail.  I think it might be ready right now but I am at least going to make it to the end of this season.  It has been a long process and I wish it would grow faster so that I can cut it.  It got quite hot this last summer during our mid-west swing.”

3.) You’ve bounced around a little bit between the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour and the PGA Tour. What do you have to do to position yourself to make a run earning your PGA tour card full-time?

“I have got to get a little more consistent off the tee.  When I hit the ball in the fairway, my iron game and putting always puts me in contention.  the more fairways that are hit the more birdies that are made.”

4.) Beemer, Benz or Bentley?

“HAHA…they are all awesome cars, so it comes down to where am I at any given point in my life.  As of right now I am in the Beemer stage.  That is the luxury car that is most in my price-range.  The plan is to get into that E63 AMG Benz but that is a little ways away.  I would rather buy a house instead of a box on wheels.  And as for the Bentley, that is why my wife wants at some point.  So as I keep dreaming in golf, I told her to keep dreaming when it came to that whip.”

5.) You’re a pretty prolific “tweeter.” What do you consider the ideal tweeting atmosphere? What allows you to put out your best stuff?

“The best inspiration comes around a group of friends at The Griffin Lounge/Bar downtown Las Vegas with four empty pints in front of me.  Jokes start flying out amongst friends, that is all I am looking to do with twitter…make people laugh.  For the record, it irritates the crap out of me when golfers write stuff like, “Had a rough day today, worked some things out on the range and ready to get at it tomorrow.”  Frankly, who F’n cares.  That is not funny and it is boring.”

6.) On the topic of Twitter, you’ve most notably earned the attention for your attempts at contacting a one Mr. Tiger Woods. Has he ever given you a response?

“@Tigerwoods has never responded to me and I don’t know if it will ever happen.  I am not expecting it to happen or even care if it does.  I will meet him at some point and I would imagine that we will get along just fine.  Starting to tweet him actually started at The Griffin.  I just thought it would have been funny last year for a no-name rookie to start hollerin at the biggest name in the world.”

7.) Have you ever had the opportunity of meeting Tiger outside the social media world, if so, what’d you think?

“I met him twice in my life, but he would not have remembered.  I went to UNLV and we worked out with the same trainer there that he did, so he would come in a few times a year and chat with us.  I also had the privilege to caddy for my friend and PGA Tour player Ryan Moore at the 2003 Masters.  I met him on the range there.  In my rookie season, however, I was in the player dining area at the Frys.com Open in California and he was playing.  He walked into the room and I felt every eye in the room turn to me.  I froze and had nothing.  HAHA…I pussed out and looked like a coward.  I have not lived that down amongst my friends.”

8.) Biggest celebrity crush, and no, Tiger does not count.

“Jessica Alba hands down…next question.”

9.) What do you consider your proudest moment as a professional golfer?

“My proudest moment as a pro was getting through the finals at Q-School to get my PGA Tour card.  It was a life long dream to get to “big tour” and I had reached that goal.  It is a long final stage with 6-rounds and I was proud of the way I handled myself mentally.”

10.) Explain why your involvement to Pancreatic Cancer research is so important to you and how you are able to raise money and able create awareness?

“Pancreatic cancer took the life of my father and my wife’s grandfather.  It is a deadly disease and I hate it. I am doing what I can do to fight against it.  My wife and I have a charity golf tournament that we host.  It was actually this last Monday on the 17th of September.  Proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  It is the network that raises money for research to try to find a cure.  I miss my father and this was the best way using my “celebrity” that I knew to remember him and to give back.”

11.) With all the traveling you do in your profession, what city do you find has the best food? If you can narrow it down, what’s your favorite spot?

“That is a tough one.  I cannot narrow it down to best restaurant but I can narrow it down to three cities.  I will start where I went to college, UNLV.  REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!  REBELS!!!!!!!!  REBELS!!!!!!!!!!  If you are a chef in the world of notoriety you will have a restaurant in Las Vegas.  There are so many restaurants to choose from and they are all good.  I like Memphis a lot too because I am a BBQ guy.  There are so many different hole-in-the-wall places there, and there are also the tourists spots downtown.  Lots of options.  I think the same thing with Chicago, being that it is the third largest city in the country, there are once again lots of options.  This is the only town that I can name a restaurant… Gibsons Steakhouse.“

12.) Favorite band?

“The Band, The Who, Coldplay, Modest Mouse, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Dave Matthews, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton … I don’t really have a favorite, but I seem to like it all from rock ‘n roll and country and blues types of music.”

13.) If you could have lunch with three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

“My Father.  I would do anything to spend any bit more time with him.  The Dalai Lama because he seems to have things figured out to the most simple form of life, and my goals are to make life as simple as possible.  Babe Ruth.  That guy was the king of the world at one point.  He seemed gruff and charismatic and he was the best at what he did, which is what I strive to do.  And it would be great to see him at the same table as “his holiness”  and see how their personalities contrasted.”

14.) Watching golf on TV and seeing you and your fellow tour members playing together, how much conversation actually takes place between you and the player you’re grouped with? What kind of conversation usually takes place?

“When it comes to me I like to talk a lot.  It keeps me loose.  Some guys are all business which is fine, so that talk is not that much.  As far as what we talk about…what do you talk about with your friends?  We talk about the same things.  We are all just guys that can play golf pretty well.  Still just guys though talking about man shit!!!  You know…Beer, women, steak and sports.  As to what actually is talked about, that is a little secret of the pros.”

15.) What do you like to do outside of golf? What keeps you sane when you aren’t out swinging the sticks?

“I actually play a lot of golf with friends at my club when I go home.  they call themselves “The Gutter Pack”.  I am just a golf junky when it comes down to it.  I like to fish with some beers when on the road and at home.  It is hard for me to spend all my time at  the course, even though I do like it so much.  I like to be on my couch or on my porch with the grill on with my friends.  I love being around people and don’t like to be by myself too much.  I like to do anything with friends that involves beer and wine.”

16.) Are you a sports fan in general, if so, what teams do you follow and are you ever able to get out to games and enjoy them?

“I am a Seattle fan.  I have to admit I am a band wagon Seahawks fan because the first 20-years of my life they were terrible.  I enjoy Mariner games and Seattle Sounder games.  I really like baseball so whenever there is a game when I am on the road, doesn’t matter who is playing, I like to get some friends and go the park and watch the game and have some beers.  Is anyone starting to see a theme in this.“

18.) Are you a Netflix man or a Hulu man, what was the last thing you watched?

“I watch whatever is on TV.  When I am on the road I watch a lot of sports with other players and friends.  When I am at home I catch up on shows that I have missed.  I watch a lot of cable shows like Entourage, Boardwalk Empire, Californication, Episodes. The most recent that I have gotten into that I really enjoy is Newsroom on HBO.  I still have two episodes left of the first season when I get home.“

19.) What do you feel is the strongest part of your game, the one thing you completely trust that allows you to be successful as a professional golfer?

“My coach in college, Dwaine Knight, instilled in all of our minds that we are great putters.  Before I got there I was a good putter and felt like I would make everything.  He reiterated that until the point that it got annoying to hear.  I left school and that is still in my mind.  I am a great putter and it is the part in my game.  I don’t think it ever leaves and that I will remain to believe I am good at it.”

20.) Every athlete leaves a legacy when they leave the game. When it’s all said and done and you’ve stopped playing golf, what is the legacy left behind by Andres Gonzales?

“I want people to think that I was fun to watch.  I love playing the game and am going to keep striving to get better.  I want to not only be a great golfer, but I want to look like I am enjoying doing it.  I like interacting with fans and when fans say hello. I still think to myself that it is unbelievable that I get to do what I love to do and that people want to watch me play.  It sounds weird and vague, but I want to be remembered for me, and I hope I am viewed by others as I see myself…Happy as Hell!!!!!!”

After some dedicated research, we were able to uncover perhaps some of the sports worlds most coveted footage. Footage of young Rob Gronkowski during his pee wee football days while playing for Coach O’Shea’s Cowboys. When he first moved to town, he was dooped into Coach O’Shea’s dweeb younger brother into playing for the Little Giants. When it was discovered that it was wrong O’Shea, that’s when Gronks career took off.

It may still be early, but signs are the whole “Tebow Time” experiment isn’t exactly paying dividends for the for the New York football Jets. So far, Tebow has not registered a single yard through the air for the Jets, and has only mustered a meager 33-yards on six carries on the ground.

On Sunday, things didn’t get any easier for Tim Tebow. When starting quarterback Mark Sanchez attempted to hit Tebow out of the flat in the wildcat package, he managed to drill the former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback square in the helmet. It should be interesting to say the least on how the whole Tebow experiment will pan out for the Jets this season, so far… it’s been pretty ugly.

If you are an SEC fan and you watched Saturday nights ACC showdown between conference “powerhouses” ClemPson and FSU, the highlights below are probably what the game looked to you. At least this is how we saw it. No. 4 Florida State outscored the literally defenseless No. 10 Tigers 49-37. Meanwhile, in a game of much more substance, the No. 6 Gamecocks welcomed the Missouri Tigers to the SEC by beating them 31-10. Yeeeeah, click-clack!

Last weekend South Carolina WR Bruce Ellington was on his way to a career night before being injured late in the game. Lucky for Bruce, if he was injured badly enough, there is a certain trainer that appears to have no problem nursing the sophomore back to health. Get ‘em Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

If you follow Nationwide Tour member Andres Gonzales on Twitter, you already know what you’re getting. If you aren’t following Andres Gonzales on Twitter, our upcoming interview should change that. Gonzales, a product of UNLV is currently competing on the Nationwide Tour after successful stints on both the Canadian Tour and the PGA Tour.

Gonzales is known for his comedic attempts to engage Tiger Woods via Twitter and his clever responses to his fans. For example, when we approached him for an interview, he told us it would cost $1,000. We didn’t have $1,000 and we really aren’t comfortable divulging what exactly it took to get some of Mr. Gonzales’s time. We can assure you that this next guest is sure to be entertaining. We play “20 Questions” with Andres and touch on a number of subjects ranging from golf, his fundraising efforts for Pancreatic Cancer research and subject matter that really has no relevance. Stay tuned guys and prepare yourself for the long-haired, fu-manchu rocking enigma that is known Andres Gonzales.

During ESPN’s College GameDay visit to Knoxville over the weekend, they ran a feature story on the start of Derek Dooley’s traditional “orange pants” fashion statement. Tennessee fan or not, Dooley has done a great job of reviving a program that was left for dead when Lane Kiffin bolted for the head coaching job at Southern Cal.

Dooley explains his thought process behind his choice of pants. He explains that it’s a tribute to the tradition of Tennessee football and honoring the pioneers of Tennessee football by donning the custom orange threads.

Dooley’s bid to defeat his first ranked opponent as Tennessee head coach fell short as the Volunteers were defeated at home by the rebuilding Florida Gators. If Dooley wants to continue to wear the orange pants on the sidelines, this season will be critical. Dooley is now 0-11 versus nationally ranked opponents. Tennessee has shown flashes of a program being on the up-and-up. However, in order to be considered a great program, you’ve got to beat the great programs. His next chance will come against the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs, the team that his father Vince helped make Dooley a household name. Tennessee begins a rough stretch in their schedule as they are set to take on Georgia, Mississippi State, Alabama and South Carolina over the next four games.

During this weekend’s NASCAR race, the camera panned in on Tony Stewart at perhaps the most in-opportune time. As the commentators were about to talk about Stewart, he was caught with hand full of Kevin Harvick’s wife, Delana’s butt. Clearly he was joking with her as you can spot Kevin within arms reach and laughing along.

Thanks to the stellar investigative reporting by our friends at Saturday Down South, Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray has officially challenged national championship quarterback A.J. McCarron for the worst tattoo ever. Bray’s tattoo reared its ugly white head today (congrats if you caught that by the way.) Bray hasn’t exactly had the smoothest of off-season’s this past year as he was accused of tossing beer bottles at a car from his apartment complex. He was also accused of “hot dogging” on a jet ski. Our advice to the young Tennessee gun slinger, lay low and put together a solid junior season, let this crap boil over and come back for your senior year and make a bid for a top-ten draft selection. Otherwise, you’re back tattoo could very well match the graphics on a CFL uniform.

If you’re as curious as Arian Foster is when it comes to figuring who Dolphins defensive back Jimmy Wilson is, we forgive you, because we have no idea either. In this weekend’s contest between the Texans and Dolphins, Arian Foster was getting called out by the Dolphins defensive back and he very appropriately shuts him up. Foster finished the game with 79-yards and 2-touchdowns, meanwhile Wilson finished with a meager 2-tackles. Point goes to Foster on this one.
