Terror Danjah is one of the pioneers of the Grime scene and a true champion for talent outside the big capital. This double disc serving features his latest and finest work to date. Featuring the likes of Ghetto, Griminal, Bruza, Mz Bratt, Chipmunk, Double S, Fumin and P-money to name a few, this compilation was always going to have to live up to its Big Bill. Similar to watching the David Haye V Goliath bout, I was hoping the big hits were going to last the distance and not be prematurely ended in the first couple of rounds.

Tracks such as Griminal’s ‘Cant Be’ and Fumin’s ‘Just Realize’ landed sweet right hooks to the eardrums but ironically it was classics such as ‘Cockback’ by Crazy Titch, Riko, Hyper MC & D Double E and ‘Zumpi Hunter’ by Wiley which enforced the vicious blows. The only bad thing i can say about this release is it is not necessarily a true representation of the finest talent in the scene. There are a few names missing and although listeners are treated to 160 mins of pure grime, maybe it could have been filtered to take away some below par tracks. Good value for price!

I strongly believe that we need to spread the word about Hepatitis B throughout the valley. So little goes on in our community and I feel that we must take a stand and make an impact.

Chronic hepatitis B is a serious long-term disease that results from infection with the hepatitis B virus. Chronic hepatitis B damages the liver and, if the disease is not treated properly, it can lead to severe medical complications, including liver failure, liver cancer, or even death.

Many people with chronic hepatitis B have no symptoms, even as the liver becomes damaged. In fact, hepatitis B is known as the “silent killer,” because many people infected with the disease do not know they are infected.

Did you know that an estimated 2 million people have chronic hepatitis B in the U.S, and Asian Americans account for more than half the cases.

How is hepatitis B spread?
Hepatitis B is spread when blood, semen, or other body fluid infected with the hepatitis B virus enters the body of a person who is not infected. People can become infected with the virus during activities such as:

• Birth (spread from an infected mother to her baby during birth)
• Sex with an infected partner
• Sharing needles, syringes, or other drug-injection equipment
• Sharing items such as razors or toothbrushes with an infected person
• Direct contact with the blood or open sores of an infected person
• Exposure to blood from needlesticks or other sharp instruments

Most Asian Americans with chronic hepatitis B acquired their infection at birth.

Who is at risk for hepatitis B?
Although anyone can get hepatitis B, some people are at greater risk. Ask your doctor about hepatitis B screening if you or your parents were born in any country in Asia, have close contact with a hepatitis B-infected person, have been exposed to blood or bodily fluids, or have elevated liver enzymes. Can hepatitis B be prevented?
Yes. The best way to decrease your risk of hepatitis B is by getting the hepatitis B vaccine. The hepatitis B vaccine is safe and effective and is usually given as 3 shots over a 6-month period.

How will I know if I have hepatitis B?
Talk to your healthcare provider. Since many people with hepatitis B do not have symptoms, doctors diagnose the disease by one or more blood tests. These tests can help determine whether you have hepatitis B infection, are immune to the virus, or could benefit from vaccination.

After 4 mixtapes since 2006… The cold blooded/Movement MC releases a much anticipated debut album… After listening over the album a few times the following things come to my mind: Are there too many tracks? Is the album a little in-balanced? Is there enough Grime?

The album begins with the gritty ‘Dark Knight’: “I feel like Batman on the roof, a dark Knight so Robin / hard times, cold Shopping / Star 9… You’s are jokers…” – Verdict – Solid intro… As we get into the meat of the album I wonder weather Scorcher is selling me short as I know what he is capable of… To be honest what was I expecting?”… I just feel like Scorcher is more on form when he demonstrates rapid fire skill evident on the second verse of the Rapid produced ‘We don’t care’: “I handle My B.I, Strapped like G.I / Joe wanna blow, then men gonna D.I / My darg got nicked with a strap like T.I / Look, He just sent me a V.O, He got caught with a big ting like Magnum P.I / In the Spartan gang mans lee-I, I got a darg with a skank when you-see-I-Be / I don’t chat with the C.I.D / I save that for when-I-see-my brief…”

I Would liked to have heard more of the Scorcher we hear on ‘Turbulence’… A song about struggles of family life: missing his daughters birth and refraining from hitting his babymother and the dreaded relationship with the mother in law…

On the whole I feel like this is a release from an artist who is capable of more…

For a long time now there has been a website for Drunken Tiger fans called drunkencamp.com. Updated started to get sporadic as time went on so I started checking on it less and less but I discovered today that they have relaunched as a blog!

The owner of the site has been able to follow DT & the Movement camp’s activities in Korea and has captured a video messages of Tiger JK, Tasha, Roscoe Umali, Rakaa, and producer TechBeatz while they were all in Korea recently.

The videos are admittedly a couple months old but I doubt many of you have seen this. It’s good to hear them showing love to their fans all around the world.

So, my little 3-day skin diet thing is going to have to wait. *sigh* I just didn’t think through all the different stuff we had going on this week and it was hard to find a 3 day period where we weren’t eating at a friend’s or meeting someone at a restaurant. Then, we’ll be in Cali next week, then Thanksgiving after that! So I’m thinking the first week of December is looking pretty good plus I can get my first free health consultation with The Movement before I try out the skin thing. Speaking of, I wanted to share even more about that awesome co-op I mentioned before. The Movement is a holistic training studio here in Dallas that also provides an Organic Co-op. We plan to join once we get back from Cali and super stoked. They have partnered with some local farms to provide fruits and veggies, meats, as well as dairy. Jon’s finally getting his fresh raw cow’s milk!!

Something I’m super excited about which isn’t co-op related but is health-related is my new-found love for tea! I especially love this store near my house called Teavana. The workers are very helpful in finding what I would like and showing me the best way to brew and steep, etc. I got this really cool TeaMaker thing that I put the leaves into, then pour the water, then after it steeps, I set it on my cup and the tea pours out. Genius.

I’ve slowly been cutting out my sugar-overload lattes and been switching over to tea and I’m just really glad it’s been a pleasant and yummy transition because you couldn’t pry my daily cinnamon dolce latte out of my hand with a crow bar a few months ago.  Anyway, that’s all for now. Will update with Cali photos, etc next week.
