I honestly hope this song makes it on the new Usher album – WOW!

“Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” featurning Oscar da Grouch himself Plies is rumored, but not confirmed to be on Usher’s upcoming album “Raymond vs Raymond.”  A nice grindfest club banger produced by The Runners, Usher sounds in his prime singing over this heavy bass track. There is NO NEED for Plies, however…Plies being on this is the equivalant of Lil Jon voice on “Lovers and Friends” track. Not to mention it sounds like Plies has rocks in his mouth – yux. Ludacris would have been a VERY better subsitution, but overall the track is dope as hell.

You know Ace Hood, also known as Antoine McColister, from all the Dj Khaled albums and mixtapes. He is also signed on Khaled’s We The Best label.

He released an album, called Gutta, in 2008. The released singles included Cash Flow featuring T-Pain and Rick Ross and Ride featuring Trey Songz.

In June 30th 2009 he released his second album, titled Ruthless on Def Jam. The albums first single was Overtime, which was produced by The Runners and featured Akon and T-Pain. The albums second single was Loco Wit The Cake. The albums guest lists includes Rick Ross, Ludacris, The-Dream, Jazmine Sullivan, Birdman and Lloyd.

Ace Hood – You Aint Know

I forgot to post these yesterday, but over a few days, a couple Usher tracks leaked off his upcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond (which is his last name). Production ranges from RedOne to The Runners, no features though on these.

Raymond vs. Raymond is scheduled for release December 8th.

Akon’s next album will be released in the first quarter of 2010, and is titled After Life. So far, only a few tracks have been confirmed, but of those, two have leaked.

I posted the snippet of one a few days ago, and it’s okay. The other, “No More You”, though, I really like. Has obvious inspiration from the classic “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King, with a modern touch.

I really liked Lil Boosie when i first heard of him back in 2005/2006. Although practise makes perfect, and having success will buy you better beats, theres a hunger to a new rapper that is difficult to sustain when you have a million dollar mansion and 10 cars. Lil Boosie had that hunger, that New Orleans hunger to be exact. And Boosies still a bad ass,  rocking the same fade haircut. He may have a big ass gold watch but he dont live in no million dollar mansion, he still reps the one-story run down building in Baton Rouge. Currently on house arrest on weapon charges, which means he has to stay at home to make videos like this

Theres a rawness and a hunger, gold chains and guns, but  also a connection to the poor community he grew up in. A social commentary of sorts. The only thing i can really compare it to is the early days of Cash Money records:

Now Boosie makes his return, and it’s starts off triumphant. More money and more popularity means you can afford a Runners beat, opener “My avenue” which is great, but does suffer a bit from the guest spots of Lil’Phat and Lil”Trill. Follower “Top notch” is really top notch, and no one would blame you if you thought it was Juvenile on the chorus. Third track “Better Believe” should be the album banger, with Young Jeezy and Webbie as guests. Unfortunately it kinda looses speed, and gets a bit too commercial. Things get better with the introspective “Lawd have mercy”, and the hard “I’m a dog”.  “No mercy”, and “Levis” both produced by B-Real are slower but somewhat saved by Lil boosies talent and raw agressive style. Unfortunately the tempos stays slow on “Bullshit” which is followed by two commercial tracks for the ladies, and then a soft track about his family. This is  the only problem with this release, you can’t blame a hustler for wanting to get money, but it’s obvious Boosie hasnt made the girlie tracks because the subject matter is dear to him, but because he wants to get that guap. And i respect him for the introspective tracks, but they are far too soft for me. There another bangers in “Loose as a goose” but the rest of the album, is either too slow or too poorly produced. Still they might grow on me.

Bottom line; its not a perfect album. I don’t listen to Boosie for love songs, or put on a deep track when drinking  my tea on the porch, looking at the sunset over the lake. I listen to Boosie cause i want hard hype tracks. And theres enough of them to make me happy,ill just have to program the cd player to skip the rest.

It’s weird at first, but picks up and gets pretty good. Full song’ll be posted when available. Produced by The Runners.

A new version of Mario’s new song has surfaced, this time sounding a bit better, but not featuring Ace Hood. It sounds cleaner than the previous version, it’s just better quality, and the ending of the song is different, as well as cut off at the end. I’ll be sure to post the final version when it’s out.
