Entertainment Weekly, you never cease to entertain me.  I love the way you inform me all the pop culture news I ever needed to know.  But my favorite thing about you, EW, is your photo galleries that contain endless lists.  Oh, how you satisfy my list craving.

The latest of the lists has to do with favorite seasons of some classic tv over the last few decades.  They put their list in no particular order – I won’t list every show here, so check out the full list here.

• The Simpsons, season 4 (1992-93) – home to great episodes like Homer the Heretic, Marge and the Monorail and Mr. Plow, it’s no secret that season 4 was a great season.  Because who can’t sing the Mr. Plow song every time they see a plow?
• Alias, season 1 (2001-2002) – I really like when a show’s first season is a favorite.  Mostly because it’s a testament to the writers, show producers and actors that they had something good right off the bat.  But, on the other hand, when the first season is the best, it makes me wonder what went wrong later on.
• Lost, season 1 (2004-2005) – The only season of Lost I could tolerate.  Unfortunately, it was never a show I could really get into.  But, with that said, season 1 was still excellent.
• Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 2 (1997-1998) – A really amazing season, although not my favorite.  During the second season, everyone just locked step, and the Scoobies were never out of character again.  When I reintroduced myself to Buffy, it was the second season that really pulled me through.
• The Sopranos, season 4 (2002) – I just love the Sopranos, from beginning to end.  But what I love even more was the show’s ability to go from being really dark to being really REALLY dark and complicated.  Season 4, in my opinion, is the darkest of all, but no less amazing than the others.
• Sex and the City, season 3 (2000) – Carrie’s infidelity, Miranda’s breakup with Steve, Charlotte’s wedding to Trey, and Samantha and the guy with the “funky spunk.”  Classic.
• Veronica Mars, season 1 (2004-2005) – The beginning of an amazing story about a young, girl detective with a penchant for lost causes and spying.  The first season of Veronica Mars has always been my favorite, as it was the introduction into the life of a teenaged super sleuth.

There’s quite a few more TV shows with great seasons on the EW’s list.  I definitely recommend checking them out, and voicing which seasons of your favorite shows are your favorites.

En “Million Dollar Maybe”, un capítulo centrado en un boleto ganador de lotería, Homero Simpson se apresura a encontrarse con Marge para una cita cuando de pronto se tropieza con Bomba.

Es posible que Bomba vuelva a aparecer, dijo el productor ejecutivo Al Jean, uno de los jueces del certamen, quien describió el concurso como un agradecimiento a sus leales seguidores, parte de la celebración del 20o aniversario del programa.

Literally. Being sick with the flu reminds you that sometimes you need some TLC to get through the day. Since LG Fashion Week, the workload has been go-go-go and there has been little time to rest, let alone breathe. I can only remind myself of the importance of a work-life balance, even at school.

In my last work opportunity at the University Students’ Council (at The University of Western Ontario), myself and the other five executives endured a rigorous transition process. One staple workshop that I will never forget was work-life balance. Why did I remember it? Because I did not want to be another executive to fall to the wayside of being overworked and overrun by students and demand. I refused to become a statistic. Work drives you. Rather, passion drives your work which drives you. Never did I want my work to suffer not myself to suffer from a heavy head. Instead, I capped my work days at 5pm and my work week within a Monday to Friday schedule. The end result was happiness. I learned to manage my time more than ever before, master the ability to work within a time frame and had fun at night. Without this, I could have easily become captive to the role.

Now, back at school after a joyous 13 months off, I’m finding it hard to keep a balance between “work” and “life.” I find it is all because of this thing called homework. Recall the Bart Simpson rebellion: Down with homework. My flu, bags under my eyes and exhausted mind all say the same thing… but I’m ready for more. Bring it on. Well, that’s what I should be saying right?

Vou começar uma nova coluna, só espero ter assunto para prosseguir com ela! De fato, ja venho falando um pouco sobre sexo a tempos, não se tratando exclusivamente do ato sexual, ou da tão comentada, por um antigo escritor, – a cabocla invertida – do senhor Estanislau, mas do mudo que gira em torno desse assunto pouco falado, a não ser que se tenha um nivel de intimidade com um amigo(a). Mas como já estamos juntos há mais de seis meses, (pra ser bem exata, já fazem oito meses – se for prematuro já nasceu hein) nada mais justo que trata-los como amigos. Inclusive já fazemos isso nos comentários!

Bem, depois dessas preliminares… a sensação para o próximo mês é a nova Playboy americana, que traz a senhora Simpson na capa!

Simpson era uma pacata dona de casa. Essa é a primeira vez que a revista faz um ensaio fotografico de uma personagem “animada”. A revista estará nas bancas em novembro de 2009, mas apenas nas bancas americanas! Mas nada que seja impossivel de comprar… Temos a internet a nosso favor nessas horas.

“The Great Wife Hope” es el nombre del episodio de los Simpson donde realizan un ángulo relacionado con las artes marciales mixtas envolviendo a una promoción llamada “The ultímate Punching”. En este episodio Marge se enfrenta a un promotor de MMA cuando se entera que este deporte se ha apoderado de las mentes de todos, en un intento por devolver la paz a Springfield.

El próximo 16 de octubre saldra la nueva edición de la revista Playboy la cual traira en su portada a a la famosa Marge Simpson, sera la primera ves en la historia de esta revista, en la cual salga una caricatura en su portada y esto es debido a el 20 aniversario que cumple al aire el programa The Simpsons. Dentro de la revista habra 3 paginas dedicadas a esta famosa ama de casa.

Move over all sexy Playboy bunnies…the throne for November’s Playboy Magazine cover belongs to a lady, every inch a celebrity, a Mom of 3 and a wife of Homie..She is no other than Marge Simpson..

Whoa, a cartoon character in the front cover of the hugely popular Playboy Mag? Am I seeing things incorrectly? Marge is actually making history as the first ever cartoon character to be feted as such in the Publication’s History.

Surely Hugh Hefner, the Playboy owner sees opportunity in this somewhat comical way of selecting the featured model for their mag. For one, “The Simpsons” dubbed as America’s most popular disfunctional family is celebrating its 20′th Anniversary and being a Simpsons fan, Hugh (who also appeared in an episode of the cartoon in the 90’s) probably viewed this as his own way of giving tribute to The Simpsons’s success.

This move would also strengthen their direction to tap more of the 20-something crowd since the Cartoon would definitely appeal to this age-group.

What I am very interested is to see the various poses or interview of Marge in the magazine’s inside pages and to know how creative the people of Playboy can get. Surely, this issue would be a collector’s item of sort.

I will not be surprised to hear that FHM is negotiating for Lisa Simpson’s appearance in their mag once she comes of age or Homer will be featured in an instructional video on how to lose belly fat. Now, that would be more interesting since his waistline has been as big as Central Park ever since we saw them in the Boob tube.

What about Sponge Bob in GQ Magazine? Seems not only the climate is going crazy these days..LOL.

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

We’re glad you could make it to the A Blondie Moment quarterly update; it’s great to see everyone here so bright and early. Did everyone get some coffee? We don’t want anyone falling asleep during the meeting. (chuckles quietly)

Let’s go ahead and get started with the meeting. First, we’ll quickly run through the topics we will be discussing throughout the meeting today.

Ok, these are the topics. We have:

• New bars, new bartenders
• Make new friends but keep the old
• Moving Day
• Strippers, trivia and the correlation between the two

At this time, I’d like to turn the mic over to Blondie herself, so she can give us the information each of these topics. So, without further ado, here’s Blondie!

How’s everybody doing today? (crowd cheers) Alright! Well, I’m so glad everyone could take time out of their schedule to be here today, we’ve got a lot to cover. Jane’s already mentioned the topics we will be covering so let’s go ahead and get started.

First up, New bars, new bartenders.

Remember when I said I didn’t think I could ever find a bar I like as much as Cheers? (Don’t ask me to find a specific example, I know I’ve said it countless times in this blog.) Well, I fear the novelty has worn off.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the staff and bartenders and wish I could take them with me, but every time I go, it’s the same people and the same situations over and over and over. And I’ve gotten very tired of all the fake friends I’ve made — the people who you’d never speak to if you stopped going to the bar. In all truthfulness, that is exactly what’s happened. And my eyes have been open to all these new bars, and in the past month, I’ve done something different every weekend. And it has been awesome. I love having variety in my life.

Ok, does anyone have any questions about this? No? Let’s move along then.

Next, Make new friends but keep the old.

The whole “variety” thing I’m working on has introduced me to a lot of new friends. Two Sundays ago, I joined some people for beer and met some fine folks; last weekend, I went to the Braves game with some friends from church and made at least 4 new friends. Later that night, I met some more people and ended up watching a movie at the girl’s place at 1 am! I also reconnected with a friend from middle school and played trivia with him and another guy I grew up with last night. And on Friday I’m going to a meet and greet for the roller derby, so I’m bound to meet some new people. At the same time, I’m strengthening some of my existing friendships.  Jools has been my “gal on the town” because she lives where I’m moving to, so she’s acclimating me to the area. Hanging out with her is fun because she’s always up for something new, plus she’s from South Africa and is slightly crazy. I’ve been hanging out with Grabs a lot too because she’s always willing to go out on a weeknight (one of the few perks of her not being employed), and is game for going anywhere. And believe it or not, I’ve been hanging out with the church crowd more. I’m not quite ready to return to church but I’m getting there.

So that’s that. Does anyone need to take a bathroom break? How bout we take a quick 5 minute break.

Ok, whew, that’s a lot of information we’ve gone over. Are you guys falling asleep? Maybe we should get some loud music pumping and everyone can get up and dance.

Alright, on to item 3. Moving Day.

I am moving! On August 1st! To places unknown! Roomie and I have decided to part ways, and at first I was worried about finding a roommate I got along with (I haven’t had much luck with roommates), but now I’m actually excited about living with someone or someones new. I’ve narrowed my search to Grant Park, Reynoldstown, Ormewood Park, Little 5 Points, Inman Park and East Atlanta. The entire section over there is really up and coming and there are cute downtown areas in each neighborhood with yummy restaurants and fun bars. I’m super excited. Plus, the rent is cheaper in those areas. And I may have found roommate(s). Nothing is final yet so I don’t want to get too excited.

Ok, that was short, sweet and to the point!

Our final topic is Strippers, trivia and the correlation between the two.

I lied. There’s no correlation between the two. I just wanted to tell you about two of the hilarious outings I’ve gone to. A few weeks back, I went to the Exotic Dancer Championships at one of the strip clubs — it was riotious! One of the finalists did a puppet show between her legs and then got into a bathtub and started spraying water everywhere. Another girl sucked donkey balls* and I don’t even know how she made it into the top 3. All she did was try to get the crowd to cheer for her. I could have done a better job than her! Then, last night, I played Simpsons trivia at Mellow Mushroom. We did pretty stellar until round three and then the questions got harder. The answer to one of the questions was buffalo testicles and I was the only person to answer correctly. Needless to say, I will not be living that down for a while. Hey, I guess the two subjects do correlate! Balls!

Ok, that about wraps up everything.

*She didn’t actually suck donkey balls. That wasn’t her talent or anything. She in fact, didn’t have a talent and that’s why she sucked.
