That’s me preparing for my dump, by the way. What a place to put a portaloo!

So here are 20 of the decades worst flicks. I’ve chosen to do a list of 20 because I’m also doing a Top 20 list. For the sake of consistency, and all that bollocks.

I’ve set some rules for myself as the shortlist was triple this size. Importantly, I’ve avoided repeating anyone else’s list. So if it’s not on the list, it will most likely mean I chose to target something else. This only occurred about three or four times so it didn’t affect my list too greatly. And everything that needs to be said about Alien vs Predator: Requiem has already been said.

Also, I’ve chosen to only include movies I had a overwhelming hatred for. Not just a ‘that was shit’, but these movies make me want to kill puppies. Not that I have of course, but even thinking about these movies while doing the list has annoyed the shit out of me. That’s how evil these shitfests are.

So with further ado, away we go!

20. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

I call this flick the ‘relationship killer’. Well, maybe not relationship, but I went on a second date with a chick and we saw this piece of shit. Needless to say I never heard from her again. I blame the movie, not my good looks or winning personality. In theory, this is a cool idea. Bring together all the literary icons of the past couple of hundred years and have them join forces to defeat the ultimate evil adversary. Needless to say that theory proved incorrect. Jekyll and Hyde looked like a condom stuffed with potatoes, Sean Connerys stunt double should’ve received top billing and Richard Roxburgh hammed it up so much I had a craving for pork chops. I’ve not read Alan Moores funnybook, but if this is the result then count me out. One day someone will learn not to fucking adapt Alan Moore. The only barely watchable adaptation is ‘From Hell’.

19. Elizabethtown (2005)

I’d usually blame that effeminate prick Orlando Bloom for ruining a film, but in this case his Hugh Grant-channelling performance pales in comparison to the saccharine, cloying screenplay. Laurence Olivier couldn’t have played that character. A complete shitfest from start to finish. Something about a failed sneaker, an annoying stewardess, a dead father and a fucking musical journey through the heartland. Fuck me, I either like or love all of Cameron Crowe’s flicks, particularly ‘Say Anything’, but this could very well be a career killer.

18. Blood Diamond (2006)

You can see the screenplay being written by committee as you witness this travelogue of political points masquerading as an action flick. Leo “I wear a little beard when I want to look tough” DiCaprio’s worst performance this side of ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’. His shitty Saffa accent fades in and out, then somewhere along the way he learns that Saffa’s call each other ‘Bru’. So every subsequent line of dialogue is littered with it. It’s “Bru this” and “Bru that”. Eh Bru, don’t ya know that’s fucking annoying?. And the romance with the skeleton formerly known as Jennifer Connelly is forced garbage. Poor old Djimon Hounsou. He has made a career of giving great support in aid of dreck.

17. The Sweetest Thing (2002)

A wannabe ‘American Pie’ meets ‘There’s Something About Mary’ with the bad taste ramped up to 11, but the laughs on mute. This is where Cameron Diaz lost me. I thought she was okay before this. Like the dreadful ‘Charlies Angels’ flicks, the forced girl power camaraderie is embarrassing. Getting a dick piercing stuck on your tonsils? Taking a semen stained dress to the dry cleaner and your priest walks in? Chicks fondling one characters plastic tits in the bathroom of a nightclub? Pathetic.

16. The Holiday (2006)

Diaz again! And another effeminate prick from the UK. And tubby bastard Jack Black (who I do usually like). And the completely unlikeable Kate Winslett. Something about her just irritates me. I particularly hated Jude Law, who blubbers his way through the entire running time of this steaming load. What an absolute twat that bloke is.

15. Shrek the Third (2007)

I didn’t like Shrek very much. It was saved by Donkey. Shrek 2 stank even worse. Puss in Boots got me through it. But this piece of shit doesn’t even pretend to have a storyline that means anything. Shrek goes to get some dorky kid. Shrek brings him back. This is just such a lazy goddamn cashgrab. Completely devoid of any entertainment value. It’s a sickening experience.

14. Righteous Kill (2008)

Here you have two of the greatest actors in living memory, giving horrendous performances in a pathetically obvious and boring cop thriller. Honestly, what the were they thinking? Jon Avnet can go fuck himself. Not only did he direct this turkey, but he also directed ‘88 Minutes’ which is not on this list because I didn’t really want to double up on two shithouse thrillers starring the blow waved Pacino. I chose this one because it not only wastes De Niro and Pacino, it also wastes the gorgeous Carla Gugino.

13. The Spirit (2008)

Holy shit, if you haven’t seen this, I’m jealous. It’s just as bad as you’ve heard. It proves beyond a doubt that Frank Miller is a complete bag of cocks. It wants desperately to be ‘Sin City’ cool, but fails in every aspect. The scene where Samuel L. Jackson is dressed up as a Nazi has to be seen to be believed. And Miller must’ve thought it was brilliant because the fucking scene goes on forever! And why the fuck do these two keep fighting each other? Neither The Spirit nor Jacksons character can even get injured, yet they keep pounding on each other. It’s just tedious and idiotic. Fuck off Miller, you prick.

12. The Break-Up (2006)

Honestly, if I want to experience two hours of two people arguing, I’ll get back with my ex-girlfriend. What is this supposed to be? A comedy? Cause it sure ain’t funny. A drama? Cause who gives a shit about two selfish idiots without any redeeming factors? Motormouth Vaughn’s schtick is getting so old it’s beyond a joke. On an related note, if they ever do a bio of Quentin “I suffer from gigantism” Tarantino, I nominate Vaughn and his mellon head for the job.

11. My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)

Completely, utterly unfunny. Terrible performances. Unwatchable dreck. I barely remember it, thank christ. I just remember I hated it with the fire of a thousand suns.

10. Eagle Eye (2008)

Or as I like to call it, ‘Enemy of the I, Robot’. When will people learn? Shia La Fucking Beef is not an action hero! DJ Caruso, who has the most annoying name this side of McG, just apes other, more talented directors in every flick he does. This is absolute shit. I can immediately think of a way to vastly improve it. Switch around the roles. Move Rosario Dawson to the La Beef character, swap Billy Bob Thornton and Michelle Monaghan, and move Michael Chiklis to Dawson. And fuck La Beef right off. It would still be a shit, intelligence insulting exercise in mass marketing, but at the very least we’d get decent actors in the roles. And don’t have that fucking tacked on scene at the end when two people that we’ve just watched fot two hours and have zero chemistry and obviously dislike each other get bloody cosy. You didn’t earn that goddamn scene. Fuck off DJ.

9. The Love Guru (2008)

God Mike Myers is a mugging prick. Unless he makes Waynes World 3, he can fuck off back to Canada. No, scratch that. He can fuck off anyway. There is so much desperation in this flick it’s painful to watch. He stops every minute and a half to stare straight into camera and try to mug a chuckle out of you. There is a character in this, played by Sir Ben Kingsley, named Guru Tugginmypuda. Jesus christ. Even Alba looks embarrassed to be in this bowl movement.

8. The Village (2004)

This is the first M. Night I hated. I like Sixth Sense and Signs, and I love Unbreakable. I absolutely loathe this shitheap. The twist sucks. It’s boring. Brody as the tard is mind-bogglingly annoying, nutbar hairlip looks like he doesn’t want to be there at all (I don’t blame him) and the reason for living the way they do never really made any sense. I seriously think this would’ve been better if it was a straight up horror flick. The woods had real monsters and it really was the 1800’s or whenever it was supposed to be. As it stands, it’s not. And it set the trend for M. Night’s career trajectory.

7. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

I like Michael Bay movies. There, I said it. I have a unexplainable love of The Island. Maybe it’s Johannson’s lips. I don’t know. But it features the Bayhem speciality of shit rolling off the back of a truck into oncoming traffic. No one does it better. I kind of enjoyed the first Transformers flick. It was about as good as I could expect from a movie about giant, shape-shifting alien robots punching each other over the ownership of a rubix cube. But in their desperation to capitalise on the first flicks unlikely box office, they rushed this piece of shit into production without a script that makes a lick of sense. So much is crammed in to it, and nothing means anything. Nothing makes sense. Why are the robots organic? How does a robot simulate human flesh? Why build up a two and a half hour movie to have the ultimate showdown with the king of the Decepticons then have him get his ass kicked in about two minutes? Robots humping legs? A robot with a cane? Robots that vacuum sand like Megan Fox vacuumed cock to get the role in the first one? This is such a headache inducing experience. Hate is not a strong enough word

6. The Heartbreak Kid (2008)

The Farrelly Brothers have made three awesome comedies, Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin (my fav) and There’s Something About Mary. This pile of excrement has just one likeable character. Michelle Monaghan is too good for this shit. There’s a point early in the movie where Stillers at the wedding of his ex and in his speech her father says that Stiller’s character is an asshole. Too fucking right. His character is such a selfish dick that you actually feel sorry for his new wife! And she’s supposed to be the nightmare! Poor Malin Akerman and Monaghan. This is what up and coming actresses have to deal with in Hollywood. Either humiliated in loathsome “comedies” or running around dodging fireballs in shithouse action movies. Both deserve better.

5. John Q (2002)

Denzel is a great actor. He can elevate bad material to a watchable level. ‘The Bone Collector’ for example. But he stars in bad flicks ALL THE FUCKING TIME. I’m sick of it. This one-sided, manipulative liberal mouthpiece of a movie could’ve been written my Michael Moore. The “good guys” are made to be so sympathetic and the bad guys so emotionless and evil it’s a stomach churning watch. I remember taking a sickie off work and wondering what to do with my day. I decided I’d go down to the local cinema and check out a movie. And this is what I saw. It’s was so maddening that I wished a painful death on everyone involved.

4. Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (2005)

I hated the first Deuce Bigelow. I hate Rob Schneider. Why did I bother watching this shit? He goes to Amsterdam and becomes a man-whore for a bunch of fucking freaks. But in the first one, the freaks were tall, fat or legless. Most of the freaks in this one have no basis in reality. One has a dick on her nose for fucks sake! Schneider is an unfunny little prick and can die a horrible death for all I care.

3. Hannibal (2001)

Fuck Ridley Scott. Fuck Thomas Harris. Fuck Anthony Hopkins. Good on Jodie Foster. She’s the only one that had any sense beyond drooling over a mound of cash as they shit all over one of the greatest cinematic icons of the past 20 years. Fuck Harris doubly because he did it AGAIN with that prequel (which I never bothered watching). I almost walked out of this flick after 15 minutes. I could see the writing on the wall. But I’d paid my 10 bucks and rationalised that if I didn’t walk out on GI Jane (another horrendous Scott flick) I couldn’t justify walking out on anything. This has a brilliant cast, a director who can occasionally knock it out of the park and all the money in the world. It’s a complete and utter failure on every level. It’s not intelligent or involving like The Silence of The Lambs. It’s not atmospheric or exciting like Manhunter. It’s a cynical goddamn cashgrab and it’s a dirty great skidmark on the careers of everyone involved.

2. xXx (2002)

I honestly don’t think Vin Diesels made a flick I really like. His best effort by far is Pitch Black which was made infinitely better by having the balls to kill the chick right at the end. Rob Cohen is an awful, awful director. I liked Dragonheart at the time, but now if I’m afraid to watch it again. This braindead hunk of shit begins with a ‘move over James Bond’ scene that’s embarrassing, obvious and moronic. And it’s all downhill from there. It’s so desperate to be hip and cool. But in reality it’s sad, stupid and ugly. When will Hollywood learn that although the Czech Republic is a cheap place to shoot, unless you’re doing a flick about the dawn of time, import actors from elsewhere in Europe. Looking at these neanderthals for two hours is quite simply off-putting. And once you’ve seen the biggest neanderthal of them all ’shaking with rage’ while looking through x-ray goggles’, I dare say Prague won’t be high on your ‘must visit’ list.

1. Ocean’s Twelve (2004)

Here we have it. The worst movie of the decade. This piece of shit is so smug and condescending it’s infuriating. But I only merely hated it up until the point of the “have Julia Roberts pretend to be Julia Roberts” scene. That scene is THE biggest kick in the nuts while you’re down I’ve ever witnessed. IT’S NOT FUCKING CLEVER. It’s a pathetic act of desperation. There’s more mugging in this flick than the entire Mike Myers and Schneider back catalogue combined! Why is Brad Pitt eating in every fucking scene? It’s embarrassing how much back-slapping and “Wow, aren’t we funny and clever.” there is in this trash. And worst of all it wastes a fucking awesome cast. Finney, Cassel, Willis, Garcia, Izzard and Coltrane. Soderbergh is a pretentious little prick. He’s so far up himself his films reek of shit. The only one I think is brilliant is ‘Out of Sight’. I hated, loathed, despised this movie.

Here’s what the band had to say to their mailing list about the video and their remaining tour dates.

“Hello,

This is your unmissable Camera Obscura news update for the month of October 2009.

We are most pleased to present to you first the new video for our next single, ‘The Sweetest Thing’ (out on 7″ on November 2nd with the b-side being our interpretation of ‘Tougher Than The Rest’ by The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen). It was shot by our friend Blair Young and we had a lot of fun making it at the end of a long summer of festivals and mini tours. By squinting your eyes just a little, you can watch us transform into uncannily authentic clones of some of our 70s heroes. Fifty Ways To Leave Your Dignity…! You can view here.

Also don’t forget that we’re on tour at the moment. Thank you to everyone who has made the time to come and see us play so far. It’s been a lot of fun. Tonight is our last show in Germany during our charge through continental Europe. Please see all our latest shows listed below…Those in Mainland Europe, UK, USA and beyond (in that order) – we are headed your way.

Thanks for your support, as ever.

Today I started wrapping everything up in preperation for leaving to go back to school tomorrow

Today I started wrapping everything up in preperation for leaving to go back to school tomorrow… you know how thrilled about that I am. I had to take my car into the shop to get my tire fixed (had a flat when I was driving up from Norman not too long ago and it was a little tricky to change, but I managed ha). Went out to lunch with my parents and then came home and worked a little before enjoying some nice steaks as a “goodbye dinner” from my mom.

After dinner, we had to rush out the door because my parents wanted to go to Tango again tonight. I opted to not go as I had already said my goodbyes to everyone because I was supposed to be heading back to school first thing this morning but of course plans changed and I ended up staying. Instead, I went and hung out with my sister which turned out for the best.

About a year ago, I was dating this guy, Pete, from Nashville. Great guy, very handsome. Had a few little oddities (like commitment fears) but no one is perfect… Anywho, his really good friend was straight, and when I met him, I immediately knew he would be a great match for my sister. I was, of course, correct. A month later they met, two months later, he had moved from Nashville to Oklahoma to come and live with her. Anyways, they were two peas in a pod and completely happy… But, as it often does, life got in the way. My sister started working for for Mr. M (see previous blog) of all people and has begun making really good money. He just didn’t really jive with that, so today he finally moved out. No doubt they loved eachother, it was just one of those times when love wasn’t enough.

Sigh, so alas I went and kept my sister company tonight. She told me she felt like Carrie Bradshaw when she says, and I’m paraphrasing like she did, “No Aiden, no apartment. It was a very long week.” So of course I had to keep her laughing the rest of the night. Mission accomplished with a little help from my friends Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair in The Sweetest Thing. I was glad I could be there for her, I know the first 24 hours are very crucial. She told me at the end of the night “You are the best brother ever. I love you!” I don’t care who you are, nothing beats that.
-Damien

P.S. Total Sex and the City side note which ties in perfectly with what I was talking about… Looks like Cameron Diaz and Jason Lewis (Smith Jared) are dating now… talk about making pretty babies!

So many movies coming out, when will I have time to watch it all?! Movie watching comes in phases fo

So many movies coming out, when will I have time to watch it all?!

Movie watching comes in phases for me. That’s why I choose Blockbuster over Netflix. I can’t deal with the pressure of having to watch movies, so I can maximize my monthly subscription… there’s enough guilt over not getting my money’s worth for my 24 Hour Fitness membership (at the current pace, I’m spending about $50/visit).

The summer blockbusters are coming up, there are still a few movies I want to knock off my list before I have to wait for the DVD version.

1. Disney’s Earth

It opens tomorrow. Following the BBC’s Planet Earth, I want to see more spectacular shots of nature. The close-ups. The story line. And yes, even the fact that they’ll plant a tree for every ticket sold. Sure, it’s a marketing gimmick, but in this case, I’ll over look that the end justifies the means.

.

2. The Soloist

This looks so compelling, and having studied the double bass, piano and ballet at a child, I’m totally into music and dance movies. Unlike Stomp the Yard (exhilarating and full of juicy abs as it is), Jamie and Robert are great actors, who can bring a soulful drama with an underlying root of classical music.

.

3. Monster’s vs. Aliens

This reminds me of Monster’s Inc. ‘nough said!

.

4. Crank: High Voltage

This movie just seems crazy to me. I went to see the first Crank as a first date at this beautiful, old theater in the South Bay with a huge chandelier. Crank, itself, reminds me of the male version of The Sweetest Thing. A bit hectic. Way the fuck out there. Seizure inducing. I’m taking this chance to turn off my brain and taking a shot for every time Jason gets punched.

.

5. Up

Besides the fact that I love everything Pixar makes (including all the amazing shorts), I’ve been drooling over this movie since they releases a short trailer a year ago just with balloons. I have no idea what the premise is. Something about a old guy who’s tired of society and his boy scouts, optimistic boy escape the city life to a wondrous new world in the clouds… or something like that.

Can’t wait!

.

I may need a stronger contact subscription soon.

So I’m planning a trip out to see my girlfriend, Natalie, who just moved to San Francisco. We were making plans yesterday when I said something to the effect of “OMG, it’ll be just like The Sweetest Thing. Have you seen that movie?” Like OMGZ she has and agrees with me that it is one of the most underrated comedies ever. As it is a semi “gross-out” comedy with female leads instead of male, the fact that not a lot of people has seen it doesn’t surprise me as that’s Hollywood sexism at its finest.

ANYWAY, I won’t go on a feminist tirade and instead I’ll sing the praises of this little movie. It stars Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate as best friends living in San Francisco who are more than happy living the single life in the city. At one of their frequented clubs Cameron Diaz’s character meets a guy who she’s more than a little interested in. The girls find out he was in town only for the night and decide to go on a road trip to track him down in his small hometown about 3 hours away. They get into a bunch of mischief along the way and on the whole it makes for an absolutely hilarious movie complete with glory holes, a “movie montage” and super cutie, Jason Bateman.

I laugh out loud just about through the whole thing, so if you like somewhat immature humor with a bit of girly-ness thrown in you’ll like it, too. It’s mostly a flick for chicks, but I have a handful of guy friends that like it, too. Could be because all the women in it are gorg, but they laugh, too. If you buy or rent this, make sure to get the extended version or you’ll miss out on this little ditty that I sang with my friends a lot through high school (which is kinda wrong when I look back on it since we were only about 16…).

Christinas love life is stuck in neutral. After years of avoiding the hazards of a meaningful relationship one night while out with her best girlfriends she meets peter her perfect match. Fed up with playing games she finally gets the courage to let her guard down and follow her heart. Studio: Sony Pictures Home Ent Release Date: 05/23/2006 Starring: Cameron Diaz Selma Blair Run time: 90 minutes Rating: Ur Director: Roger Kumble

Prudes, beware! Despite its tendency to take the comedic low road, The Sweetest Thing is a near-perfect product of the new-millennial Hollywood. That’s a backhanded compliment, but as a fun-loving Yankee girl’s answer to Bridget Jones’s Diary, the mainstream pandering of Nancy Pimental’s lucrative screenplay is undeniably effective. On the opening soundtrack, Macy Gray’s “Sexual Revolution” is a perfect accompaniment to gyrating guy-dumper Christina (Cameron Diaz), whose fear of commitment is tested when she meets Peter (Thomas Jane) and knows he’s Mr. Right. With supportive gal-pals Courtney (Christina Applegate) and Jane (Selma Blair), she plots to snag the guy, and the movie’s road-trip detour mines gut-busting gold from gags involving incriminating dress stains, oral sex, rotting food, garish clothing, and the simple joys of old-fashioned romance. Perfectly cast, raucously ribald, and conventionally charming, The Sweetest Thing is a schizophrenic comedy, but its dual personalities are irresistibly in synch. –Jeff Shannon

Gentlemen… let’s be honest. I know for a fact you’re all outstanding, hairy chested, motor oil loving manly men. But every now and then you’re forced to suck it up and take one for the team. Girls have all the vaginas and therefore have all the power and when that night comes that they decided you’ll be watching a chick flick, here are some movies that you might want to suggest. They’re guy friendly and won’t make you seem like a complete panzy sitting on the couch cuddling your girl, while she sobs over the Notebook or some other Richard Gere crap fest.

11. The Sweetest thing

Written by Nancy Pimental (the girl who replaced Jimmy Kimmel as host on Win Ben Steins money) it stars Cameron Diaz and Christina Appelgate and the always annoying and untalented Selma Blair. Pimental wrote the movie based on her relationshi with Kate Walsh.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: As far as romantic comedies go, this one is pretty guy friendly and relies primarily on crude gags as its source of humor. Including the memorable “Penis Song”, the glory hole scene and Jason Bateman and Tom Janes witty dialogue about relationship with women.

10. Spanglish

Writen and directed by the Simpsons James L. Brook, Spanglish stars Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni and Paz Vega. Spanglish is about a poor Mexican single mother (Vega) who gets a job as a housekeeper for a rich white American Familiy (Leoni and Sandler). Leoni’s character is a health obsessed wife who neglects her daughter and treats her wicked awesome and loveable husband (Sandler) like crap. The Sandman starts to fall for the new housekeeper who starts to make up for all of Lenois downfalls as a mother and he struggles with his consious and moral delemma this creates.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Sandler is always great in comedies but he plays a very human and likeable nice guy all too well. Most guys will be able to relate to his situation and circumstances and at the very least Tea Leoni’s hot body and Paz Vega’s huge clevage and come hither housekeeper outfits will keep any guy glued to the sceen. Also Cloris Leachman who plays Leoni’s alcoholic and loose tongues mother is always good for a couple of laughs throughout the movie.

9. When Harry met Sally

Starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan this story follows two friends from the time they meet, through twelve years or so of chance encounters in NYC. The film focuses on the question “Can men and women ever just be friends?”

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Billy Crystal is his usually funny self and Meg Ryan is in the prime of her hottness and in my opinion never looked sexier. Every guy can relate to the material in this movie and the concept of “friends with benefits”. The most memorable scenes are the popular and always trouser tent enducing Meg Ryan orgasm scene and call me a sucker but if any guy ever needed material to seduce a girl just listen to Billy Crystals “why I love you” scene at the end.

8. Love Actually

Love Actually delvs into different aspects of love as shown through stories involving a wide variety of individuals, many who are linked as their tales progress. Think what would happen if Tarantino made a romantic comedy? The cast is comprised from a slue of big British Actors: Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and Keira Knightley.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Likable characters, great multiple story lines, and to be honest I don’t really know why I like this movie but I know I do, and I know its worth seeing. There’s a bunch of funny parts and at the very least Bill Nighy plays a brillant and hilarious washed up pop star who doesn’t give a fuck about anything other than a comeback.

7. Ten things I hate about you

TTIHAU is a teen comey about two sisters on opposite ends of the high school social spectrum: one is pretty and popular and the older sister is bitter and vengeful. Family rules dictate that the younger sibling can’t date until the older one has. You can see where this is going.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Guys will dig Heath Ledgers tough guy character and there are a couple funny likable supprting characters. Julie Stiles plays the older sister and is in her prime for hottness. After this movie she started to go downhill as far as looks go. And if you ever watched YTV as a kid the girl from The Secret World of Alex Mac (Larisa Oleynik) plays the cute and sexy younger blond sister. If the girl your watching this movie with is ugly as shit, then these two hot little high school cuties will provide the perfect visualizations for later on when you place a paper bag over the monster cuddling up to you in bed.

6. America’s Sweethearts

For the most part any of John Cusacks romantic comedies could have made this list: High Fidelity, Grose Point Blank etc. But this one has a a nice blend of everything for guys. Hot women, great comedy and an entertaining plot. The films follows the messey breakup of one of Hollywoods most beloved couples as they try to endure a press junket while keeping up the appearance that they are still together.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Aside from Catherine Zeta Jones playing a promiscuous starlet, Billy Crystal and the usual John Cusack nice guy appeal there are two main reasons why guys will like this. 1- Christopher Walkin is in it as an eccentric and hilarious film director and 2 – Hank Azaria. Azaria steals the show as the Spanish Actor who steals Cusacks girlfriend and he has a major Spanish lisp and a macho tough guy attitude with some great and memorable lines.

5. Singles

Singles is a 1992 romantic comedy writed and directed by Cameron Crowe. The film stars Bridget Fonds, Cambell Scott, Kyra Sedgwick, and Matt Dillon. It centers on the lives of a group of young 20 somethings living in an apartment block in Seattle It focuses on the course of two couples’ rocky romances, as well as the love lives of their friends and associates.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: The plot is pretty descent, there are some funny line, but the main reason is Matt Dillon. Dillon plays a dumb muscian in a shitty band shooting for stardom in the Seattle grung scene. Every line he has in the movie is brillant and hilarious. In addition there are some great cameos by Pearl Jams Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Also, the soundtrack is one of the best to date. Featuring songs by Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumkins, Pearl Jam, The Lovemongers, Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, and Jimmy Hendrix to name a few.

4. What women want

Starring Helen Hunt and Mel “I love Jewish people” Gibson. The jist of the film is basically a succesful Advertising exec, typical man whore gains the power to hear womens thoughts. Yadda Yadda Yadda some stuff happens and I think you might see Helen Hunts boob. Not sure on that though.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Marisa Tome plays a pretty damn cute and slutty Coffee shop barista. And let’s be honest every guy wishes he had this gift. It will keep men entertained to see if Mel uses this gift as they would or not?

3. The Family Stone

The Family Stone stars Clair Danes, Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Craig T. Nelson, Sarah Jessica Parker and Dermont Mulroney. Even on her best day Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a old withered pile of walking excrement. Somehow (I’m assuming Voodoo) she managed to subdue the lovable Matthew Broderick. And the reaons I probably love this movie is because the main focus on how everyone hates her character and is annoyed by her. Basically the film is ser in the fictional town of Thayer, Massachusetts, and focuses on Meradith Morton (SJP) a successful Manhattan executive whose uptight, conservative demeanor is a sharop cotrast to that of her boyfriends (Dermot Mulroney) rambunctious family.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Luke Wilson. His character is absolutely brillant. He plays a laid back slacker brother/son with numerous off-the-cuff moments in the film. HOUNDSTOOTH!!! If you loath SJP like I do it’s enjoying to watch her walk a tight rope of scrupulation and critiscism throughout the film.

2. Jerry Maguire

Everyone knows who’s in this movie and what its about. If you don’t your probably reading this and looking to see if you have the VHS for these titles.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Tom Cruis before he got all Scientologist crazy and couch jumpy as well as a tolerable Rene Zellweger – pre scrunchy face. Right from the start guys will have their attention grabbed by the stellar Cruiz/Kelly Preston “Don’t Stop Fucking me” sex scene leaving all men wishing their significant other had a mouth that dirty in bed. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays a great role as the cocky football star searching for the big bucks and his wife has some brillant lines in it as well.

1. Mean Girls

The film stars Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabery, Lizzy Caplan and is a relic to the once and promising career of the films main star Lindsay Lohan. It also features several SNL cast members including Tim Meadows, Ana Gasteyer and Amy Poehler.
The plot is basically about a girl (Lohan) who grew up abroad, was home schooled, moves to Chicago and is quickly thrown into the awkward and ruthless social politics of fitting in as a girl in high school.

WHY GUYS WILL LIKE IT: Guys don’t be fooled by the seemingly overplayed “new kid gets revenge on popular people in high school” plot. This flick is really – in my opinion – a guys comedy disguised as a chick flick. The material is clever, witty and takes a hard hitting approach to the life of girls in high school. Tina Fey is funny as always, and there are a ton of great and quotable lines:
“It says in that book that I’m lieing about being a virgin because I use super jumbo tampons but I can’t help it if I have a heavy flow and a wide-set vagina.”

“KEVIN GNAPOOR MATH ENTHUSIAST/BAD-ASS M.C. 847-555-2148″

“Hey Africa!”
“This is Damian he’s almost too gay to function”

“At your age, you’re going to have a lot of urges. You’re going to want to take off your clothes, and touch each other. But if you do touch each other, you *will* get Chlamydia… and die. Don’t have sex, because you will get pregnant and die! Don’t have sex in the missionary position, don’t have sex standing up, just don’t do it, OK, promise? OK, now everybody take some rubbers.”

“oh my god , Danny Devito, I love your work!”
