Aujourd’hui je suis de bonne humeur malgré le mauvais temps mais j’ai décidé d’offrir  les cocos. J’ai quitté les cours super tôt et me voici sur mon vaio entrain d’écouter de la musique à la recherche du morceau qui tue ça mère à foisse les cacahuètes les bananes flambées. Ellie Goulding is signed to Neon Gold Records, along with Penguin Prison and Marina & The Diamonds, with whom she will be performing with on a portion of her current European tour. I’m not sure who is opening for who but her performances across the England will also feature the awesome and lovely Little Boots. Anyhow, I was recently introduced to her and while I’m not totally floored by her mostly mellow pop sound, as some are, Under the Sheets is simply fantastic! I’d place the song somewhere between the grooves of a Twelves remix of a Lykke Li tune and the indie vibe of Regina Spektor. If you ask me, I think this tune is a prime base for a Fred Falke remix.

It’s been a long time since they last were featured on our blog. Remember my post about Fever Ray’s “Seven”, a few months ago? Although later, The Twelves came up with a remix of that song that is pretty cool! Not only that, they also made a remix of Noah and The Whale’s “Blue Skies”, that has became one of my favourite for the past days.

Já faz algum tempo desde que foram falados aqui no nosso blog. Lembram-se do meu post sobre a “Seven” dos Fever Ray, há uns meses atrás? Apesar de mais tarde, os The Twelves fizeram um remix dessa música que está bem bacano! The album spans house, electro, drum’n'bass and techno, with contributors ranging from big names DJs like Marky to young upstarts Copacabana Club and The Twelves – who cement their reputation as ‘the Brazilian Daft Punk’ with a polished, robotic remix of Terry Poison’s Comme çi, comme ça.

The standout track, though, comes from São Paulo’s Mixhell, who blend rock guitars, electro bleeps and even Funk Carioca’s tamborzão into a sound they call ‘rock-tronica’. Boom Da is as noisy, dumb and upfront as you could possibly want music to be.

Det är något sjukt med The Twelves. Allt dom tar i blir fantastiskt bra, utan undantag!

En av årets bästa skivor, Fever Rays självbetitlade debut, som också troligen är den tacksammaste att remixa har genererat massor av underbara versioner (och dessutom de underbara originalen). Jag tror dock inte att någon slår the Twelves version av Seven:

Bacardi B-Live who have previously worked with Chromeo, Metronomy, The Twelves and Breakbot drop another bomb in the form of Drop the Lime (aka Curses!) with his latest track, “Devil’s Eyes”.

You’ve got to love someone with an identity crises – more so when they’re that talented that they can pump out quality tunes ranging from distorted haunted house to rave, jungle and dub step… This latest track however – with its pop friendly vocals and undeniable heavy jungle bass – may just be enough to pull him out of underground appreciation into the realms of “commercial” success.

Rumour has it that DIPLO, CLASSIX and UK grime-kid Kanji will all be turning their hand to remixing this track which can only mean further big things to come.

Help, I’m Alive (Twelves Remix) by Metric, SO good, I’ve had this song for quite a while, but I never really sat down and listened to it. Classic Twelves.

Take on Me (Twelves Remix) by A-Ha, just incredible. What a great remix of this song, would recommend playing for any set with this kind of happy/feel good atmosphere. This song would just destroy a party in college. People love what they know.

Drugs in My Body (Twelves Remix) by The Twelves, This was actually the song which started getting me into the Twelves. My friend Tony gave me this even before their boyfriend remix. Though I do admit it’s by no means my favorite, it holds a sentimental value so I though I’d put it up.

GREAT to play at any party:
Boys (The Twelves Remix) by M.I.A., this should be evident why this would be a good song to play at a party.

Reckoner (The Twelves Remix) by Radiohead, I don’t normally approve of most Radiohead remixes, but this one is so fantastic. Really keeps the idea of the original, just makes it a little dancier.

So Far Away from the Sea (Twelves Remix) by Yuksek, an amazing original, Yuksek alone would get me to listen to this remix.
