Red Cloud was a leader of the Lakota Sioux (Sioux is a french bastardization of the Ojibwe term, nad

Red Cloud was a leader of the Lakota Sioux (Sioux is a french bastardization of the Ojibwe term, nadouessioux which loosly means, “treacherous snake” or “enemy” given to the tribe by the rival Chippewas and popularized by the filthy, god-forsaken French) and one of the most famous and influential Native Americans of his time. He watched as bearded devils from the East drove picks into their sacred Black Hills in search of gold and the answer to an instinctive lust for power. Red Cloud was not like other Chiefs, who reacted to this invasion the only way they knew how, with horses and crude weapons, eventually being defeated by steel and virus. Red Cloud tried to play the game, he made trips to Washington on multiple occasions, speaking directly with President Ulysses S. Grant on more than one occasion.

As expected, the President could not argue with the pleas of Red Cloud, who wanted nothing but the relatively insignificant land of his birth to remain sacred and untouched, he spoke of peace and compromise, never using threats to ice a demand. Now, I imagine while in the presence of this impressive Native, Grant could not help but agree to just about all of Red Clouds wishes. After all, Ulysses had been a massive orchestrator in the emancipation of slaves in America, humanity was in his blood and he pissed good intentions. Red Cloud left the meeting with the signing of the Treaty of Fort Laramie which designated a massive plot of land–including the sacred Black Hills–as Indian Land…one of the largest reservations in America.

Unfortunately for the Lakota People, rumors of gold in the Hills began to spread across the continent and despite some half-assed efforts by Grant, more and more White Men began crowding the streams and rock faces of the Lakota’s most sacred ground. It would not be long until all efforts to hamper intrusion were abandoned by the U.S. Government and The Treaty of Fort Laramie crumbled–like so many before–into yet another pitiful heap of hope and deceit.

After it became abundantly clear that the Americans had no intentions of compromising their manifest destiny, other Lakota generals chose to fight, the most famous of which was Sitting Bull. Sitting Bull was the leader of the Lakota during the battle of Little Bighorn or “Custards Last Stand” He defeated Custard that day but was driven from his land into British Territory. He was offered a full pardon for his surrender, which he accepted, but Sitting Bull continued to urge his people to resist relocation. He was no match for the momentum of the times and he along with his people were put on a small reservation in South Dakota where Sitting Bull would be assassinated by Indian Police (Government-paid cronies, and tragically, all native Lakotas.)

“They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it”- Red Cloud

I see no other solution to balancing the trays of Karma other than packing our shit, and invading Canada. The Canadians are not a proud people, they have no sacred connection to their land, and assimilation would take only a matter of weeks, seeing as they are already 89% American. We will use the same tactics that have worked for us for so long, we shall slowly accumulate plots of lands with promises to end our conquest after each and every acquisition, all the while spreading our deadly Pig AIDS to the unsuspecting Canadian people.

For those Cold Blooded Americans who need scorching temperatures to maintain a proper body temperature, you will be merrily shipped off to the small island nation of Maldives, which should be completely submerged by the pristine Pacific Ocean in a decade…I will be one of these people.

Any Canadian who refuses to assimilate will be forced to appear on shows such as Maury, Springer and I’m a Canadian, Get Me Out of Here! They will be given food and board for their antics and refusal to participate will lead to a one way ticket to Afghanistan, where he or she will be parachuted into Taliban territory with a swiss army knife and the image of the Prophet Muhammad tattooed on his/her forehead.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, children are our future.

I’m going to leave this short but this is what I will expect President Obama will say during h

I’m going to leave this short but this is what I will expect President Obama will say during his press conference tomorrow evening.

1) He will affirm his decision to release more than 35,000 more troops to Afghanistan all while reaffirming that he never wanted this decision to take course.

2) He will announce global support of this decision as 500 troops from Britain will be sent to help the United States. Also, he will probably speak of more support from Russia, Italy and France.

3) He will speak of what this means to America and apologize for backing out from his promises to end both wars (he did this repeatedly on the ‘08 campaign trail….set himself apart from Bush).

What I wish President Obama will do.

1) Announce the deployment of troops BUT specify a legitimate timeline of how long troops will be in Afghanistan. America wants to end the war and we want to know when it will end.

2) I want to know how much this will cost us as a nation and how much more debt will will generate by sending this amount. As a country, we already owe the world banks over 20 trillion dollars…we can’t keep taking out loans.

3) I want to know when troops will be moved from Iraq.

4) A specific number has to be generated of how many foreign soldiers we will see help us. This shouldn’t be just The United States VS Taliban.

5) I expect an apology from Obama after this move. Though I do understand the situation, this tough decision could cause a divide in the democratic party.

My thoughts on his speech will be up after the press conference.

Photo: Whitehouse.gov

So, the world’s greatest golfer is human.

Tiger Woods, the man who routinely drives a golf ball more than 300 yards, can’t drive his Cadillac Escalade 30 yards. At least he couldn’t at 2:25 a.m. Friday without hitting a fire hydrant and his neighbor’s tree.

How long will it be before a late night show host uses that line? For the record, you read it here first.

The crash sent Woods to the hospital. His lips were cut, he had blood in his mouth; his wife smashed a rear window with a golf club to get him out; he briefly lost consciousness.

As many reporters following the story have since noted:

“There are also plenty of questions, among them: Where was he going at 2:25 a.m. Friday? Why was there no word from the Woods’ camp for nearly 13 hours after the accident? Police hope Woods can answer some of them Saturday. Two troopers tried to talk to the world’s No. 1 golfer Friday evening, but his wife said he was sleeping and they agreed to come back Saturday.”

The accident followed a National Enquirer story claiming Woods had been seeing a New York night club hostess, and that they recently were together in Melbourne, where Woods competed in the Australian Masters.

The woman, Rachel Uchitel, denied having an affair with Woods when contacted by the AP. “The story stands for itself,” National Enquirer executive editor Barry Levine told the AP on Saturday.

Shhhh! It’s tough to expect privacy when your success is based on performance, image and marketing. Note that Woods, the first athlete with career earnings to top $1-billion, has earned more from his commercial endorsements, cars, razor blades, Nike golf products, Gatorade, Upper Deck, etc., than his golf championships.

This could be the best or worst thing to happen to Woods. If Tiger’s legion of fans, and I happen to be one, believe he’s deceptive in his explanation of this episode, his image will suffer.

If Tiger fans believe he’s honest, even should he admit fault, Wood’s image could remain relatively untarnished. It might even improve if Woods, for a moment, becomes human. America loves its sports legends. Sometimes, America loves them more when we see them pulling their pants on one leg at a time.

HAWAII, Britain, the United States, Canada – if Rodney Hide had to write a travel guide, those

HAWAII, Britain, the United States, Canada – if Rodney Hide had to write a travel guide, those destinations would quite likely appear in his personal top five.

You can also presume that such a travel guide (“Hide’s hiding spots – a travel guide for NZ politicians on perk progress”, that’s how I’d call it) would not be aimed at the average Kiwi family but to those with a packed purse.

It would rank top hotels and feature recommendations to visit the Universal Studios and in the appendix you would probably find “Tipps & Tricks on how to justify a world trip before the taxpayer“.

PICTURE: WAKE-UP CALL: Rodney Hide has not so much to laugh about these days. (Pic: Chris Skelton/Sunday Star-Times)

Well, our Rodney will have to re-think that, because so far his strategy didn’t work out: the media bombard him with questions, the taxpayers shake their heads in disbelief, and his boss, Prime Minister John Key (recently being labelled as a ‘does-nothing’-Prime Minister by Hide himself) cannot be happy either.

Hide’s bill, including flights, travel fares and accomodation for himself and his partner Louise Crome, is as high as about $25,000 – money paid by New Zealand taxpayers.

Funny how Hide says he disagrees with the perk that enables MPs to travel on taxpayers’ expenses but admits the same time that he used to take his girlfriend overseas. All in terms of his own work, of course, as he was paying visits to super-cities that are stating examples for soon-to-be-super-city Auckland.

[I suppose you could call it "research"... and I wonder why I have decided to become a journalist and not a politician. When I do research, it involves a lot of time at my desk, ringing people until my ears glow and typing into search engines until I suffer from OOS in my hands... If I were a politician, I could pay a visit to the Universal Studios instead...]

Rodney Hide already seemed pretty much with his back against the wall when he was “Caught Red Handed” by Mike Hosking on Close Up on 30 October 2009 (PICTURE RIGHT), but since then he more and more got himself into hot water.

Saying that Prime Minister John Key “doesn’t do anything while ACT did everything and is hated” on a breakfast function in Christchurch last week certainly did not help – although it was quick thinking of Rodney to forewarn Mr Key of what was to come, shortly before the newspapers could pick up the story.

And good on him for apologising to the taxpayers and to Mr Key and for paying back the costs for his partner’s flights and for the trip to Hawaii in June.

In a personal statement released to the press on 8 November 2009 he says: ‘It’s not about the rules, it’s about doing the right thing.’

Right. But I still wonder…

- How come there is a 180°-turn in your opinion within one week (since the appearance in Close Up where you still stressed how the rules -and the Prime Minister himself- allowed you to take your girlfriend on a world trip until yesterday when you admitted that you have done the wrong thing)?

Anyway, what’s happening at “Breakfast With Rodney” on Thursday should be interesting (experience shows breakfasts with Rodney reveal interesting opinions on our government)…

And we’re seeing so more and more every day. The economic model Obama’s following is the same as Massachusetts, high taxes and regulation – and it’s failing. Hillary Clinton even admits that we tax everything that moves. The brightest and best individuals are fleeing companies that are cutting their pay, ahead of the pack. The high earners of New York are relocating elsewhere. Businesses are leaving high tax states specifically because of the business climate, and yet through all of this Democrats deny, especially in their actions, that America’s business climate with the highest corporate taxes in the world doesn’t affect our economy – even as we know companies are offshoring.

And it’s not just confined to money. Over-regulation and over taxation are killing medical research as well. If you want to see the medical wonders we all love at a cheap price, let the companies innovate profitable treatments to lower prices.

I strongly hope that America doesn’t have its own lost decade just like Japan, but until capitalism is not vilified by those in power and we actually let the producers and innovators of society be productive without punishing them, it’s not going to happen.

Do you fear God or Man? Is this a dumb question? Maybe 20 years ago without a second of consider

Do you fear God or Man?

Is this a dumb question? Maybe 20 years ago without a second of consideration the answer would have been yes that is a dumb question, however this is not 20 years ago. I asked a teen this question and asked for an honest answer and I was told, I have to abide by the law, but I do not know if there is a God. I said so you fear Bloomberg more than you fear God and the answer was yes.

This is what New York City is creating non God fearing children, who know who to blame for there hardships. There was a time when everyone’s faith was basically in God and that God would see them through hard times, but now these children no longer want to wait on the Lord of Never and Never-Land.

In the old days we were blind by the vile of secrecy, but now wars are fought on television and the state of the world is heard everyday on the radio. The right to speech has gone beyond acceptability and with these economic hard times the liberal left is forcing tolerance in every area but Godliness.

So we ask why do not our children fear God or even believe in the existence of God. And the fool in-charge may think this is ill-relevant. But is this really of no real significance? See there was a time when Satan was a secret, but now the Illuminati are actually posted on the Internet, so now even evil has a face. We use to blame the hands for everything that went wrong in the world. We would say Oh it is the Mafia causing all these dreadful mishaps. Now John Gotti does not even make it on the front page of the New York Post, because people can see beyond the crap.

I was told as a child a man destroys that which he fears. Do you fear God or Man? Now you see where I am going with this letter. See people feared Hitler; people feared the Mafia and by God people fear God. But now people do not believe these exist any longer. People went to sleep on the Bavarian movement or the Roman Empire and the Underworld has become a thing of foreigners with no real interest in America’s good health. All we see is the politicians who are making false promises they have no power to fulfill, who are now feared more than God by our youth. By the process of deduction who is the next to fall? When there is no Underworld, Reich (Holy Roman Empire) or God? The Music Industry is a symptom of a much larger fish, to be fried.
