The Wanted stormed the US charts and their single GYC is currently at #2 in pop songs.

They are rapidly growing fan-bases everywhere in the world and are becoming international superstars. Their new song Chasing The Sun premiered in both the US and the UK following the success of their double-platinum selling single Glad You Came in America. The Wanted had stopped by on Tuesday for  ”MTV First: The Wanted” and Sway asked them about Justin Bieber, who they supported on his South American tour, to which Tom Parker replied: “He was really nice. A really, really nice guy”. He added that they had become so friendly and the Biebs started joking about and ended up smacking Siva Kaneswaran in a rather uncomfortable place.

When asked whether they would consider collaborating with the Biebs or if they had discussed music while on tour, they all agreed that a collaboration with Justin would be fun and admitted that they have a song in mind for him.
“We talked about it, and we have a song that we think he’d sound great on,” Jay McGuiness said. Siva also revealed that they spoke to Chris Brown and that he was “down” for a collaboration with them. ”We’ve talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good,” Kaneswaran revealed. “We talked to Chris actually at ‘The Voice,’ and he said he was down as well.”

“It’s all up for discussion…you never know.” Added Tom.  Max chimed in saying, ”We have got a song we think would be perfect”.

Their song Glad You Came is doing so well here, in fact, The Wanted has decided to release their debut US album on April 24th already! There is no set title for the new cd, but the band says fans from both the US and the UK will be thrilled with the new album!

The boys have been working with Ryan Tedder from One Republic and he says he can’t confirm anything, but adds, ”My guess would be we’ll take some songs from the first album, some from the second and add some new ones in too, just so everyone is on the same page.”

You’ll also be seeing a lot of The Wanted on tv soon! They’ll be promoting the album on ”The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on March 20, mtvU’s spring break festivities on April 2, NBC’s “Today Show” on April 24 and ABC’s “The View” on April 25.
