Die Entwicklung am 4. Teil der Diebes-Saga gehe zügig voran, ließ Eidos Montreal die Szene-Seite  IncGamers wissen. Das Team sei hochmotiviert und mache große Fortschritte. Dabei werde Thief 4 die Erwartungen der Serien-Fans nicht enttäuschen. Eventuell deutet dies auf eine Präsentation des Titels auf der kommenden E3 2010 hin. Genaue Angaben hat Eidos allerdings nicht gemacht. Wir sind gespannt, durch welch`dunkle  Gassen Meisterdieb Garrett dann im neuesten Ableger schleichen wird.

Der erste Teil Thief: Dark Project erschien 1998 und war ein großer Erfolg – bis heute gilt es aufgrund seines innovativen Gameplays als Geheimtipp. Auch die beiden Nachfolger Thief 2: The Metal Age (2000) und Thief: Deadly Shadows (2004) gelten als rundum sehr gelungene, spannende Spiele.

Louisiana Democrat senator Mary Landrieu sold her vote to Harry Reid for $100M.  She is a whore and a theif.

She voted in favor only after Democrat senator Harry Reid added into the bill a $100M provision that could be claimed only by Democrat senator Mary Landrieu state of Louisiana.  Landrieu, who had been public about her indecision on the bill promptly decided it was a good bill and voted yes.

Democratic senator Mary Landrieu is taking money from the Federal government who in turn takes it from all Americans.  That means people who live in every other state in the nation are paying for Mary Landrieu’s constituents.  Americans had no voice in this decision and that should give everyone not residing in the state of LA cause to vote every Democrat senator out of office at the first available opportunity.  So every Democrat in the Senate effectively stole money from every American not in LA and gave it to the government of LA.  That makes them all thieves.  Since Mary Landrieu knew all of this and voted for it herself, she is complicit and conspired to steal $100M from most Americans and give it to the government of LA.

Should this bill pass, it is demanded that Louisiana governor, Bobby Jindal reject the funding and himself demand that it be returned to the American taxpayer and only the American taxpayer.  That is to say, the money should not be redirected to any other socialist entitlement program, existing or proposed, and that Socialist Stimulus checks should not be mailed out.  The money should be returned only to those who pay taxes since it is from those Americans alone it was stolen.

Perhaps this is what Barack Obama and the Democrats meant when they promised transparency because corruption and criminal activity does not get any more transparent than that.

UPDATE

  A few days ago our children’s center in Kracheh, Cambodia got broken into.  They stole all the clothes from more than 40 girls which were on the clothes line.  We warned them about putting their clothes out at night, but it has been so rainly they didn’t have much of a choice.  The next day the girls were pretty unhappy, but they carried on as usual.  Having more than 80 kids in the center, we do not have a lot of extra clothes because it is very expensive to clothe that many people.   The kids run in ages from 6 years old to 18, so there is a big difference in sizes too.  The only reason that someone would steal old warn out kids clothes is because of their poverty.

  Well, those who lost clothes share with those who had extra and they just continued back to school as normal.  Another day went by.  The following morning, there was a surprise waiting at the gate of the center.  It was a big rice bag.  The kind which can hold 80-100 kilos of rice.  Inside of it. . . all the girls clothes, neatly folded. 

   Our kids are quite well known in the community.  Just a few months ago the center was given an award from the government for being a model of morality to the community.  The kids are all very poor and many are orphans, but they are know for being exceptional kids.  I am sure the thief knew about the kids and their reputation.  I wish I could have seen his face as he folded and packed up all the kids clothes and planned to sneak back onto the property to deliver the clothes.

For over a month the Shell Garage in Kingsthorpe, Northants has seen all of its jars of Marmite vanish from the shelves. Don’t look at me I hate the stuff! The shop has been forced to stop stocking the spread until the thief is caught. So far 18 jars have vanished. Despite the culprit being caught on CCTV camera the jars continue to vanish. In one raid he stole all but 2 jars but the next day he came back and took those too! No one has a clue what he is doing with the condiment but some have suggested he might be using it to hide drugs because it would hide the smell of friggin anything! So if you happened to know anyone with a shit load of jars in their cupboard you might want to give the police a buzz or not!

Travaillant au bureau ou chez moi sur des films vidéos, je stocke projets et données sur un disque externe que mon employeur me fournit. Je travaillais depuis un an sur un disque La Cie Safe doté d’un système de reconnaissance d’empreinte digitale. Il s’appelle Safe car vous devez passer votre doigt sur une fente pour que le disque reconnaisse votre empreinte et monte sur le bureau. Ne me demandez pas pourquoi j’utilise ce genre de disque, c’est juste que la personne responsable des achats dans ma boite s’est planté un jour et a acheté 4 de ces “Safe“ disques en pensant acheter des disques durs normaux…. Et qui ne sont pas safe du tout comme on va le voir !

Depuis quelques semaines, lorsque je passais mon doigt sur la fente pour décliner mon identité, le disque avait de plus en plus de mal à reconnaître mon empreinte et envoyait des messages du genre : “veuillez repasser votre doigt” ou ” nous ne reconnaissons pas votre empreinte” et refusait de s’ouvrir… Très agaçant lorsque vous être dans le rush pour finir un montage, très….

Et puis lorsqu’e le disque reconnaissait enfin mon empreinte ( je précise que je ne me suis pas brulé la main, que je n’ai pas fait de tatoo au bout de mon index droit, bref qu’il n’y a aucune raison logique de ne pas reconnaître mon empreinte), lorsqu’il montait enfin sur le bureau, un message me disait :

“ le disque a eu beaucoup de mal à reconnaître votre empreinte, nous vous recommandons de la re-initialiser”

Je n’aurais jamais du lire et surtout suivre ce message à la noix. Mais (comme un con) je l’ai fait. Et surtout (comme un vrai con), je n’ai pas pensé à sauvegarder les données du disque avant. J’ai donc re-enregistré mon empreinte. En plus ça m’a pris une plombe car il faut échantillonner trois fois son empreinte pour que le logiciel de reconnaissance l’enregistre et à chaque fois, il avait du mal à reconnaitre ce qui était pourtant bien la même empreinte. J’aurais du comprendre qu’en fait, c’était le système de reconnaissance qui avait un problème….

Une fois le processus fini, j’ai vu une belle et nouvelle icône La Cie monter sur mon bureau. J’ai cliqué dessus pour ouvrir mon dossier et là… L’horreur. Disque vide. Plus rien, nada !!!

Là, tu te frottes les yeux un moment, tu éteints ton Mac, tu le rallumes, tu éjectes le disque, tu recommences la procédure avec l’empreinte, à nouveau le disque rame pour reconnaître l’empreinte que tu viens de ré-inscrire… mais à l’évidence tu dois te rendre compte que  ton disque La Cie “Safe“ ( safe, bien sûr, merci La Cie) considère qu’il n’y a plus rien d’inscrit et donc que tout a été effacé.

J’appelle un pote qui s’y connait grave et lui me dit : t’inquiètes, si ça a fait ça en deux secondes, c’est pas effacé, tu dois pouvoir récupérer tes données. N’enregistre rien  sur ce disque et normalement, tes anciennes données sont encore là car il aurait fallu une bonne minute pour vraiment les effacer…

Je cherche donc un logiciel et fini tomber sur Boomerang, un logiciel qui annonce être capable de retrouver des données mises à la poubelle, poubelle effacée, d’être capable de reconstituer les données perdues d’un disque RAID et j’en passe… Je me dis  faut essayer. En même temps, c’est pas gratuit. Il y a plusieurs formules, selon le nombre de gigaoctets à récupérer etc… Comme moi, j’ai presque 400 Go à retrouver, je prends la formule la plus chère, 199 $ pour un an de licence et je paye (comme un vrai vrai vrai con).

Je vous passe les détails, mais pendant 48h j’ai essayé toutes les options de ce logiciel soit-disant magique… Rien.

J’envoie donc un mail au support pour lui expliquer gentiment ma situation, l’histoire de mon disque dur à empreinte digitale, que c’est assez urgent vu que j’ai un film à rendre dans deux jours, qu’il y a peut-être un truc que j’ai pas essayé etc. Mais deux jours après : rien. Aucune réponse. Si, un accusé de réception avec un numéro de ticket d’attente.

Je retente un mail… “merci de me répondre assez vite, je suis dans la mouise, j’ai acheté votre logiciel pour avoir une solution, je n’y arrive pas…” Rien . Aucune réponse. Si, un accusé de réception avec un numéro de ticket d’attente.

Inutile de vous dire qu’entre-temps, il m’a fallu reconstituer mon projet, redigitaliser mes rushes, refaire mon montage au point où je l’avais laissé… Au troisième mail, je deviens plus vindicatif et leur dis : j’ai payé, ça marche pas, vous pouvez m’aider où c’est trop demander ? Rien . Aucune réponse. Si, un accusé de réception avec un numéro de ticket d’attente.

J’ai du laissé 6 ou 7 mails au support, demandant à la fin à être remboursé…. mais j’attends toujours le moindre début de réponse de la part d’Adam Yates , le fondateur et à mon avis seul employé de cette coquille vide et véritable arnaque en ligne qu’est Boomerang Data Securité Sytem encore connue sous le nom boomdsr. En même temps, je ne me fais pas trop d’illusion quand à la probité de ce… triste sire pour rester poli. Aucune adresse postale ou mail sur le site,  aucun numéro de téléphone… ça respire la grosse arnaque à plein nez…

Depuis, j’ai trouvé en ligne plusieurs témoignages similaires au mien. Je vais contacter toutes ces personnes et je vais engager une procédure contre Boomerang.

Je vous invite donc, si vous avez été comme moi spolié par cet … à me rejoindre dans la plainte et la demande de dommages-intérêts que je vais engager contre boomdsr et son dirigeant.

Trop drôle, so funny, quelque minutes après avoir mis ce billet en ligne, j’ai ENFIN reçu, après deux semaines de dialogue de sourd, un signe de vie de mon ami Adam Yates… Il me menace de procès et il m’a inscrit à un site de commerçant américains ultra-conversateur qui répond au doux nom de Cheat&Liar, traduction tricheur et menteur, en faisant croire que je lui ai “volé ” 199 $. On croit rêver… Bon la meilleure défense, c’est l’attaque, si grossière soit-elle, c’est d’ailleurs ce la stratégie employée systématiquement par boom boom drs et Adam Yates à l’encontre de ceux qui dénoncent ses méthodes, voir ce témoignage

Here’s the thing would-be jewelery thief, stuffing gold into a cooked chicken’s backside ain’t going to make it any easier getting stolen goods through those new metal detectors. An employee at Browns Jewellers in Johannesburg has been busted big time for trying to get gold passed the newly installed detectors. Geez, he must have been away the day the staff got the “poultry pilfering” memo. Anywho, now thanks to this wise guy, women are no longer allowed to wear underwire bras because the metal detectors are too friggin sensitive and security don’t want to have their hands that full!

Psst I wonder how much has been stolen prior to the new security?

POLICE are hunting for a callous con man after he stole £400 from the bank account of an elderly woman.

The fraudster – described as “well spoken” by police – assured the 82-year-old woman that he was from her bank and convinced her to give out personal details.

He then removed the cash from her account before she became aware of the elaborate telephone scam, which occurred on 2 November.

The elderly woman from Dunfermline, Fife, mentioned the call to her daughter, who became suspicious and phoned the bank.

However, she was unable to freeze the account before the transactions were made.Inspector Neil Henderson at Fife Police urged the public to be wary of unknown callers.

He said: “The caller has known a number of facts about the victim and has used them to gain her confidence and compromise her account.

“I would remind the public that banks will not ask for sensitive information over the phone and that if in any doubt about the genuine nature of a call, they should ask to call them back to confirm the integrity of the call.”

The investigation reports that several of the banks listed by International Banking Group (IBG) as supposedly issuing the CDs have never heard of the company. While IBG denies any wrongdoing, the company’s Web site has been taken down.

Investors should be suspicious of salesmen who solicit door-to-door or make phone calls, ConsumerAffairs.com reports. All investors, not just seniors, should check out all investments, especially those that claim to pay out much higher rates of return than would normally be expected.
