A notebook is a tool that everyone can use. Your documents, files, music and pictures are stored in just one thing. Therefore we can say that purchasing a laptop would be an investment. Students (well…like me) can use their notebooks in order to do their homework. When we need to post a new blog, we would just turn on our computers and start writing. A lot of things can be done in the portable laptop. You can bring it anytime and anywhere. Portability is not a plus for office people who tend to travel abroad. They can do their things in the laptop with just a swing (like when you open the laptop itself) and a click of a button. With the notebook around, I’m sure life is easier than ever.

But what if your life turns into a burden of complaints and problems…all because of the notebook? That’s what happened to me.

With my laptop, I can do things that I want without any limit from someone. Instead, I could limit myself through self-discipline. And because of it, I can blog anything and anytime I want to. I can place my pictures in here. I could save my PowerPoint presentations, as well as assignments saved as a Word document. My notebook had its own journey when the defect was detected after 2 months of purchasing it. Well, it turned out that the models of the same notebooks have a certain defect in the LCD screen. So I have to wait for a month and turns out that it reunited with the same owner.

Compaq Presario CQ40-340TU

This one came from my blog entry last October. My mom and I went to SM Megamall to purchase a new laptop. We agreed on choosing a model, which is the Compaq Presario CQ40. The notebook had a free OS and a Wi-Fi kit. Since we have to get the OS by ourselves, we waited for a month to obtain the OS. Turns out that we got the OS by delivery. The laptop survived for two months, but something went wrong. I found out that there was a small line (which started to get bigger after some time) flickering in the screen. In order to have less worries, we surrendered the notebook to the repair shop (which is owned by the store where we bought the notebook). We waited for more than a month in order to fix the laptop. We were able to get the notebook back since Typhoon Pepeng started to show its fury. After some time, I was able to use the notebook again. But hey, I waited for more than a month.

After a month (or more than a month…), the same problem showed in the notebook once again. We asked the repair shop to fix the notebook that consists of the same problem. They were able to fix it for a day and we were able to get it back.

My mother and I had an assurance that the notebook won’t have any problems again. But suddenly, there was this new problem rising in the notebook. Once I move the screen, the LCD blackens (well…when you click Fn + F6 in your Acer Notebook). It keeps on blinking, and we don’t know the reason why.

Since much trouble was made because of the laptop, my mom decided to write a letter (to HP) for a replacement. We waited for a week to know their response. My mom and I felt that we were cheated since the notebook was like…some sort of a defective one. I was able to read some articles on the net and found out a lot of things. Most of the Compaq Presario notebooks contained a defect. There are lots of complaints regarding the flickering LCD on the Compaq Presario CQ40. Most of them were disappointed. I’m not sure if it happened to them more than once (because we did. ).

The dealer gave us a chance to replace the notebook. Yesterday, my mom and I were able to replace the defective Compaq CQ40. We just added a thousand pesos and chose the Acer Aspire 4736Z. Yes, we were disappointed with HP Compaq’s quality when it comes to their notebooks. On the day we asked for a replacement, there was this lady who has the same issue as us. I wonder what happened to her.

Somehow I feel happy when using my newly replaced-Acer Aspire 4736Z. I’m sure Acer won’t bring me down, just like what HP Compaq did to me. I’m sure Acer’s quality is nice and clear. Good thing the problem was solved just right before the year ends.

9:45 am I didn’t sleep well last night. Heartburn from hot wings kept waking me up even after I took a Pepcid. So I’m off to a slow start today. I’ve been up for hours but all I’ve done so far is make coffee, toast a bagel and shove the dog out into the rain.

10:40 am I’m supposed to be painting the woodwork in the kitchen today. So far, no progress has been made on that front. I did buy a red wire dish drainer this week to match the decor. It’s antimicrobial. Uh huh. I paired it with a clear drain board though so  as to avoid a heavy appearance.I’m like a decor maverick that way. I predict Sami will have a minor shitfit about it because he has a difficult time accepting things that are not aligned with his assumptions and I will guarantee you that he will be very uneasy about a dish rack and a drain board that don’t match.

11:15 am Thirty minutes into it, and I’m completely enthralled with White Teeth. Thanks for the tip, Noralynn.

2:43 pm I was downstairs at the project for a while. Words were exchanged. I was sent away.

4:47 pm I am holed up in a spare bedroom. If they want me, they will have to come and get me. I managed to wrap 4 presents and put pretty ribbons and bows on them.

9:25 pm Long interlude for Chinese food and playing with the dog. Also wrapped a few more presents. Where DOES the time go? I am never going to do this again because it revealed without question how excruciatingly dull my life is.

Here I am, locking up the church after putting things away from our amazing downtown service. Having just finished the remnant series, Pastor Mark is starting his new series, Campaign 412. This will defintetely be an exciting series, as Pastor Mark, disects all the major aspects of life, applies them to the Bible and shows us, better and more powerful ways that we were designed to live. This week has been great, here at Capital Christian Center. The setup and stuff in preparation for The Holiday services is intense, I can’t even describe how much work it takes. Occassionaly I post pics on twitter, and you should be following me. There is alot to do, and we have the series (mine) coming very quickly. These are much shorter for the most part compared to the ones for Die Daily, but just as much received from the Lord in every way. Have an excellent weekend, and enjoy some holiday goodness.

کسی هم نیست وتنهایی چون رو پیشونی افراد ننوشته هومو .از گی کلوب هم بدت می آد چون توش پره ترنس وشی میل است درحالی که تو یک دختر کاملا گرلیش وجیگر می خوای اما هرچی می بینی زنایی قلدر تر از ده تا مردن که می خوان یک جا بخورنت.از یک طرف دیگه بدی قضیه ادامه پیدا می کنه وقتی که استادت می فهمه که تو …هستی.و من نمی دونم این استاد عقب افتاده ام این مسئله رو از کجا فهمیده.روزگارم رو سیاه کرده.از هرکاری که می کنم ایراد می گیره و یک کارایی می کنه که یک بار اشکم رو در آورد.
خیلی ناراحتم حس بی پناهی می کنم وقتی به رفتار های بد استادم فکر می کنم.یک هوموفوبیک عوضی.کسی که قدرتی در برابرش ندارم.در خیلی از اماکن هم نمی شه از طرف به جرم هوموفوبیک بودن شکایت کرد چون گی فرندلی نیستن وشاید با این کار تمام حقوق اولیه خودت رو هم معلق کنند.اینکه به یک انتقالی فکر می کنم.محیط برام خفقان آور شده.اون هم فقط به خاطر یک هوموفوب.
اوضاع خوبی نیست البته.همین چندروز پیش هم یک پسر سیاه رو در همین حوالی کشتند.پسره در هایپر مارکتی نزدیک اینجا کار می کرد وترنس بود.من چند باری که دیدمش از اونایی بود که خیلی آرایش می کنند.جسدش رو که پیدا کرده بودند دیده بودند 10 ضربه چاقو تو شکمش زدن.نمی دونم کسایی که کشتنش ریسیت بودن یا هوموفوبیک شاید هم هردو.

I really love our country. Our country is filled with traditions with cultural backgrounds. Since we live in Antipolo, we get to celebrate the Higantes festival (Higantes, in english, giants). I was lucky that I am staying in my cousins’ (yup…more than 1 cousin ) house. My mother is in Bacolod and I stayed in my cousins’ house since I would be left in our house.

We were lucky that the higantes performed in front of our compound. The higantes were named after Filipino love teams who are popular in the showbiz industry.

The higantes perfomed in less than a minute. Once they are done performing, they would transfer into a different place to perform.

My uncle gave money to the person organizing the higantes performance. I think you can call it as abuloy.

This festivity happens every last week of November to 2nd week of December (in our place, it’s til the 8th of December, in commemoration of the Immaculate Conception.) So we can say it’s something we can wait during the Yuletide season.

I can’t wait to see them perform once again. Hope they would perform it in the song of Nobody.

I’ve been busy studying away. I’m taking a math course through a online university program and really want (need) to wrap it up by the end of the year. I’ll have to take two exams about a week apart and at 34 weeks pregnant but I’d prefer to be done by the time the baby comes.

So don’t mind my spotty online attendance. Study study study. (Also knit knit knit).

Let’s just put it in this way. Like what I’ve said from my previous blog entry, I post a Christmas wish list every year. Since December has come to a close, I would be putting the Christmas feel by having a Christmas wish list. It would be the 1st time for me to post the wish list on the month of November. My last 2 entries (which are seen in my previous blog entry) were created in the month of October. After all, I just transferred in WordPress. Being busy is another factor, which caused this blog entry into a delay. So, let’s not delay it. Let’s get ready to rumble. Since this is kinda long, you would see more information when you click “more“.

My listing is simple. I have 12 items. It may be a material thing or a thing that I want to do. The list won’t be in any particular order. It’s not from greatest want to least want, or vice versa. It’s just in random order. After all, I can’t sequence them for I don’t know what to choose first. It can be a blog entry full of dreams and ambitions. But hey, as long we work hard, we would be getting the tings we want right away. No need to be rich in order to get what you want. We’ll be rich someday, because we work hard. And as part of the blogger’s rule, sources regarding the pictures in this blog entry will be mentioned. So, let’s go!

~ NOKIA 5530 XPRESSMUSIC ~

It is a big decision that I have to make. Since I have a camera already, then a cellphone is something that I would need. This phone right here has the features of its brother, the Nokia 5800 XM. The user interface (UI) is enhanced and some features were removed. But for a 15 (turning 16) year old teenager like me? This would do. After all, it has WLAN, 3MP Camera with Flash, Music Player and the Nokia N-series UI. I don’t like the user interface of the phones like Nokia 5130. The Symbian S60 UI looks cool, and so I would be experiencing it in this 10k phone pal.

~ GENUINE WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM OPERATING SYSTEM ~

Windows 7 is the salvation for users who hates Mr. Vista right here. Right now, I’m using Windows Vista. I’m not having the problems right now for I keep on updating my operating system. But still, Windows 7 is WAY BETTER than Vista. Lots of cool and fun features are here. But then, the essence of the computer remains. I’ll say it again. It’s something BETTER than Vista.

~ NEW CAMERA: Let’s say…the CANON EOS 1000D REBEL XS ~

I already have a digital camera. But then, I would like to get something better. I have some technical problems with regard to my camera, but I still get to use it. After all, the AA batteries are giving me some pain. It keeps on saying “Battery Empty”. But I have to do it several times in order to use my camera. So, I would like to get a camera that’s good as this one. I don’t want to go for the super high-end SLR. Even a semi-SLR camera would do for me. But when I compared this one to the new Canon G11, this one is 4k cheaper than the G11 (well, that is according to an online shop that I know).  The features are simple and nice. I’m satisfied with something like this. After all, I might need this for college (No, it’s not photography.).

~ APPLE iPod TOUCH 32 GB ~

Well, Mr. iPod Touch here stays on the list. The new generation is enhanced. There’s voice memo function on the 32 and 64 models. The price went down too. It’s not a necessity, but it could be my version of a PSP. After all, I’m not game junkie.

Let’s say make simple. I want the iLife feature that’s part of the Mac series. The UI is great. After all, an advertiser might need this, especially if it’s on the go.

Soon, I’m really going to have it) camera will accompany me. Life is incomplete without your loved ones. After all, family > friends. I really love color green maybe because it reflects. Ha-ha…  Green is the color of nature maybe I’m a little nature lover.

Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don’t know what color to use anywhere use green.

Green is favoured by well balanced people. Green symbolizes the master healer and the life force. It often symbolizes money. It was believed green was healing for the eyes. Egyptians wore green eyeliner. Green eyeshades are still used. You should eat raw green foods for good health. Friday is the day of green. Green jade is a sacred stone of Asia.

Now and then I like to catch up on the news from the city where I grew up. The newspaper is filled with spelling and grammatical errors and there’s always two or three apologies or corrections for past mistakes. It reads like a small town community newspaper when in fact, the city is a decent size. My favourite section is the crime blotter. I’m usually looking for people from my high school but most stories there tell so much more about the community than the isolated incident.

The latest crime:

“A man found at the city cemetery with a metal detector and a shovel told police he was looking for coins.”

Of course. Better yet, the witness:

“The court heard from Mr. Smith who had seen a man making digging motions and making prying motions under a stone. ‘It made me feel uncomfortable,’ said Mr. Smith. Under cross-examination, the witness said he is visually impaired and legally blind.”

Ja muuta ei juhlaan tarvittu, paitsi helmet kaulaan ja uudet sukkahousut sääriin. Niissä oli saumatkin, mutta sukkien materiaalin vuoksi sauma jäi hullunkurisesti kiemuralle. Ei ehkä täyttänyt täysin suunniteltua tarkoitustaan se sauma

Because of the tragedies that passed in our country, there won’t be a time for us to smile. Hence, it is hard to move on because we weren’t able to save a thing. We can get those material things right away with hard work and determination. But getting one’s life back? It’s hard to get it back.

Because of Ondoy, Pepeng, Ramil and Santi’s attack, I’m sure there are people whose properties were washed away. But the worst thing of all, their loved one’s lives were washed away. Despite of the tragedy, there is one reason to smile.

Christmas is a day for children. And for those children who were affected by the typhoon, they would have no idea on how to celebrate Christmas (like what I’ve said, due to the tragedies). Christmas happens once a year, so we get to celebrate it in the best way that we could. But how about the families who were affected and whose starting to move on? How are they going to celebrate Christmas?

Christmas celebration doesn’t need to be luxurious. A simple noche buena would be a big thing already. But Christmas is not about the gifts. It’s all about the love and care for the family, and the moment where Jesus is born.

A lot of us were facing our destiny. Who cares if a million typhoons will make their landfall in our country? For as long as we hold hands and cooperate with each other, we can surpass all of the obstacles destiny has for us.

Jarno Viitalan Nansolle suunnittelema Dancer-mekko (Lempivaate-mallistosta) on helpoimpia vaatteita mitä kaapissani on. Se sopii arkeen ja vähän juhlaankin, kunhan asusteet ovat oikeat.

Tähän asuun kuului myös pilkullinen huivi, en tiedä miksi se ole kuvassa. Ehkä sille tuli ramppikuumetta?

Olen kyllä miettinyt… pitäisikö mekon helmaa lyhentää, ihan vähän vain? 2-3 cm lyhyempi olisi kiva. Nyt olen sen verran kuronut vaatetta ylös vyön avulla.
