In 2011, I began noticing many damaged keys on the ground in New York City.  One here, one there, scratched and broken, occasionally stuck in the cement.  It sparked an interest in me and I started collecting these forgotten Keys.  Can you imagine the story behind them?  The hardship the person went through when they discovered that particular key missing.

 

 

After a year of collecting New York City’s missing keys, I shot the series “Lost and Locked Out.”
