I’m done.

I’m through.

It’s over.

I’m finished trying to run, finished trying to control, and finished trying to be independent. Trying to be a grown-up. Let fate fall where it may, and I guess I’m leaning against the old fallback of “if God wills it.”

But seriously. At this point, if God wills it, I’ll be one intensely blessed grateful dumb shit.

I’m done.

I’m done with pretending that I’m an adult. I’m not, okay? So get over it and leave me alone. I’m struggling to get into a college that I know I’m not prepared for in a competitive world that’s waiting with eager, dripping jaws to eat me alive. I’m not ready.

I’m through.

I’m through sitting back and letting my hundreds of responsibilities run amok over me. It’s partially my fault through disorganization, partially my fault through neglect. I’m doing so much I can’t focus on the important things. If something doesn’t go, I will. I’ll go insane. So I’m through being trampled by my own many loves and passions, and I’m through being choked and hung by the dramas of my friends and school life. I’ve got to distance myself from it, before it gets me. If I don’t focus, and work my ass off on the thing that is most important, I won’t get anywhere. Ever.

It’s over.

So it’s over, kids, and here I am typing as a shakily resolute and keenly terrified individual who’s not grown up and who’s ready to practice and who really just wants to stay home and love her life and her family in peace.

But Time and Nature won’t allow it. So ready or not, I’m out in less than a year. If I go to a shitty school, well hey, that’s my own fault. Goodbye, Eastman. Nice looking at your name on the website, C.I.M. I wish I would have been good enough. I’m sorry for wasting your time, Heather. I’m deeply sorry, Mrs. Ripley.

What happens, happens. If I can’t contact anyone and have them be my savior with my transcript and SAT score report today, then I am fucked. And who can or will help me, the irresponsible procrastinator who is falsely deluding herself that she can make it in the vicious world of music?

I just want to sing. And that will probably never happen now, because I’m a fucking retard.

So guess what.

I’m done.

As most of you know by now, Zara is becoming a big name in the fashion world. Bringing the world professional suits, flirty skirts, shirts and trousers in both men’s and women’s collection, this is one name that absolutely will not to be forgotten. Now, Zara is offering shoes that will blow your mind with a variety of colors, styles, sizes, and prices. The creators at Zara have brought something to the table for everyone to try, and have made it possible for just about anyone to walk the street in style with their affordable prices.

Some brand name shoes cost up to five hundred dollars if not more, you can find Zara’s brand name styles for as little as one hundred and sometimes less than that, I’ve seen as low as forty dollars online! However, these aren’t your run of the mill cheap shoes; Zara shoes are gorgeous and can make anyone look good. Zara offers women strapped heeled sandals, thick pumps, flats, and many other various styles. By offering so many styles, Zara is creating something for everyone and gives everyone a reason to check them out.

Zara also offers men’s shoes, and while this collection is less popular, it is still a decent collection. Zara shoes for men offers sandals, traditional laced up sneakers and more unique edgy sneakers for those looking to try a bolder look. The men’s collection of Zara shoes is quickly becoming a big trend, what’s most unique; the Zara trend is to wear sandals with long business like trousers. Shockingly enough, this trend has caught on and looks pretty good on men everywhere.

This season, it seems that Zara is experimenting with flats for both men and women. In bold colors like purple and yellow, both men and women are treading the streets with bold colored flat sneakers that look so awkward, it works for them. That seems to be the Zara way though, they have made a fortune off of making things that just shouldn’t work look fabulous on anyone and they have taken styles that are considered traditionally ugly, and made them stylish. That is what fashion is all about, and that is one of the biggest reasons people are clinging to Zara this season, everyone is oozing wondering what will be next for this daring clothing brand.

Have you ever noticed that some 10K runs are actually open to people who want to do a 10K walk? We might assume that the walkers would get run over by the runners but this is far from the truth. In most cases the walkers are accepted as part of the group.

Many people enjoy taking a leisurely 10K walk instead of training to run that distance. They enjoy the scenery as they walk by it and they like the excitement of the race. Some of these races will have a competitive walking division while others will just give space to the walkers.

As an example, sometimes the walkers will start before or after the runners so that they can be at their own pace. Some people are going to just walk casually for the 10K walk and if that is the case they won’t need a lot of training to do it. However if you want to be competitive with your walking you will need to train for the 10K walk.

If you just want to take this stroll make sure that your running shoes are comfortable and that you have been practicing walking 45 to 90 minutes steady. This should have been done in the last month or two of your interest in the 10K walk.

You will want to know that a 10K walk is actually 6.2 miles. You will want to make sure you practiced a bit before you try to do this in a race because you will want to finish this distance. In general people who do a 10K walk actually train for it over an 8 week period. This seems to be standard if you want to walk in competition.

One of the most important areas you will need to master is the art of race walking. This gets you moving at a very fast pace if competition is on your mind. There are also rules for race walking: You have to have one foot on the ground all the time and the leg that is moving forward has to be straight at your knee until it is under your body vertically. This will help you do a better 10K walk as well.

Some people who decide to do a 10K walk may be former runners who either decided to stop running or had to stop because of injuries or illness. The good thing about this type of race is the fact that people in wheelchairs can also be a part of it.

There are many senior citizens who enjoy a 10K walk because it is exhilarating and because they can do it over a long period of time. This is a sport that combines physical fitness with a competitive focus for some. However, you can race walk at a leisure pace if that is what you want to do.

If you are interested in a 10K walk it is a good idea to talk to others who have done it. You may just find a buddy or two to walk with you.

GM’s plan to sell its Saab division appears dead after a Swedish specialty automaker backed out of a deal to buy the unit.

A Swedish group has backed out of buying Saab, putting the Swedish carmaker’s future in doubt.(Hector Mata/Associated Press)

The future of the troubled brand was cast into doubt Tuesday after General Motors Co. said Koenigsegg Group AB had decided to end the deal announced in June because it had trouble arranging financing.

Financial details of the planned Saab acquisition have never been disclosed, but Koenigsegg said in August it lacked about $417 million US to conclude the transaction.

GM tried to unload the Swedish brand as it restructured under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year.

The apparent death of the Saab deal comes on the heels of GM’s shocking decision earlier this month to back out of a proposal to sell its European Opel and Vauxhall operations to a consortium led by Canada’s Magna International Inc.

The Detroit automaker came under fire for backing out of that sale after European governments had arranged millions in bridge financing and concessions.

And in September, a deal that would have seen auto dealer and former racer Roger Penske buy GM’s Saturn brand fell through.

GM chief executive Fritz Henderson said the automaker is disappointed in the Saab decision and will take several days to figure out what to do.

Financing problems

A person briefed on the deal said Tuesday that Koenigsegg informed GM of the decision Monday, and Saab’s future is now unclear. GM’s board will have to decide the company’s next move, said the person, who asked not to be identified.

Koenigsegg Group, a tiny maker of high-priced exotic sports cars, stated Tuesday that it came to the “painful and difficult conclusion” that it couldn’t complete the deal.

“The time factor has always been critical for our strategy to breathe new air into the company,” it said. “Unfortunately delays in the completion of the deal have resulted in risks and uncertainties that stop us from carrying out the business plan.”

“These books were written from 1998 to 2004 and are still in print today with over 11,000,000 sold in series. Unlike the adult series, Left Behind, they have no prequels or sequels, but are a set of 40 books focused on the Tribulation. The series was originally due to have 48 books but was cut to 40 as the huge 2 year jump in Ominous Choices cut out a lot of possible material. The Left Behind: The Kids series was originally written for teen and young adult readers. However, the audience has grown to include adults, too. Many adults read The Kids series between the release of new books in the Left Behind series. Most of the audience bought the books for the Judd and Vicki relationship storyline and many were outraged when Judd and Nada became a couple. However, the faithful readers continued and to their relief Judd and Vicki were back together, keeping the interest of the readers.”

Recently I’ve had conversations with OSL students about the programs shortcomings and about things I would change. My tone came across much harsher than I meant, which happens to me often, and because of that I’ve received a fair amount of backlash about my character. In just a few days I’ve been accused of being pessimistic, a bad listener, having a superior attitude, being too clingy, talking too much, and a few other things I can’t remember. Although it was tough, I’ve learned a few valuable lessons through all this that I wanted to share.

Know who you are. Don’t let other people’s words define you. Understand that their perception is only one small portion of the reality that makes you who you are. Be careful to understand that many people, mostly insecure ones, will remember bad over good, and give them grace when this happens. Have compassion, know your own character, and think critically about their accusations.

Search yourself. If someone has accused you, don’t let pride overtake your spirit and keep you from discover new revelation about areas in which you could change. If more than one person has mentioned some negative thing about you, it requires extra attention because it is more than like true, although not always. Be confident in yourself, but leave room for error.

Be discerning of motive. As I mentioned above, a person who is struggling with insecurity in any certain area will automatically look to another who is not insecure and attempt to tear them down. Think about areas you are insecure in, and you will remember speaking negatively about another person or else having bitterness in your heart towards those who have overcome these same insecurities. Understanding that the problem lies mostly within the accuser will ease your own hurts.

Don’t let the other person define you. In my case, my entire character has been defined by two or three conversations, when in reality I know this isn’t true. Because I have become confident in who I am, I understand that their grievance against me is only one facet of my personality. It is still difficult, though, when you know you are one way but someone accuses you of being another. It becomes less difficult the more you know yourself. What people think of you should not dictate your life, but what God thinks of you should be of extreme importance.

Saturate yourself in prayer. When someone comes against you it’s easy to let pride overtake and to ignore the truth in what your accuser says. Be prayerful and seek God’s direction on what to do with these accusations, and listen closely. Do not turn a deaf ear to the correction and discipline God may be sending your way, because it is in these things that we are refined and made more complete, more like Jesus.

My lesson has been learned, and I am thankful to the Father for His discipline. Thankfully I am at a place now where I can (a) look back and recognize that these accusations are not 100% correct, (b) realize I do look to the bright side as often as not, (c) know that I do encourage people often, and (d) see I have been accused more out of others’ insecurity than my actualy wrongdoing. This doesn’t get me off the hook, though; if people are saying these things, I have to step up and examine myself, rid my heart of negativity, and take responsibility for my own shortcomings.

This whole Christianity thing gets hard sometimes, but I wouldn’t trade my walk with Him for anything in the world.

I decided to include a informative illustration of my typical photography set-up when capturing events.

Canon 100mm f2.8 for portraits and interesting macro photography.
This is my favourite lens in terms of image quality and it I like how it often encourages me to look for the small details. I often capture something a little different with this personal favourite and when used with the MR-14EX it produces excellent results.

Canon 50mm f1.8 for natural light photography, I find this prime lens is a lot easier to work with when capturing an event as with the 100mm I can miss a lot of the moments/action. It is so light and small, it is perfect as a second camera round my neck so I can choose between the Canon 100mm and 50mm as quickly as possible.

So to clarify, I have the Canon 100mm on the 30D and the Canon 50mm on the 400D. Both with me at all times.

I also use the Nikon D90 with a Sigma 10-20mm for dramatic wide-angle photography. This can be the most fun lens to use however the distortion around the edges can be a bit weird for photos such as group shots. I think lots of straight lines tend to work well in these photos. I also have the option to film some interesting video snippets which can be useful when producing a highlights/promotional video type production.

I have decided to also carry a few light stands and a shoot through umbrella in case I decide to use numerous flashes. There may not be time or it simply isn’t practical and I might decide to simply use the Canon 30D with the MR-14EX ring flash and 100mm f2.8 and the 50mm f1.8 with natural light. I like to have the options though.
