El Tibidabo estrena una nueva plaza-mirador

BARCELONA.(EUROPA PRESS) El parque de atracciones Tibidabo estrenó hoy una nueva plaza que dará la bienvenida a los visitantes y mejorará los accesos al parque, y que forma parte de las mejoras llevadas a cabo en el último año con el dinero procedente de los Fondos Estatales de Inversión Local.

El alcalde de Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, que catalogó el Tibidabo como una de las maravillas de la ciudad, fue el encargado de descubrir el nombre con el que los visitantes del parque han decidido bautizar esta nueva plaza -’plaça dels Somnis’-, y alabó la gestión del parque de atracciones, reivindicándolo como “una de las empresas que mejor funcionan de la ciudad”.

Los 1.931 metros cuadrados de la nueva plaza-mirador, construida en el espacio que antes ocupaba la vieja montaña rusa, serán un nuevo espacio de juegos para los más pequeños y servirán de punto de encuentro y escenario para los espectáculos del parque. Este nuevo espacio es el colofón de unas reformas que también han mejorado la iluminación y los accesos al recinto.

El Tibidabo, que ha duplicado la superficie iluminada hasta llegar a las 5 hectáreas, es el primer espacio público de la ciudad que se ilumina con leds, un tipo de iluminación que permite un elevado ahorro energético y reduce los costes de mantenimiento. La recuperación de espacios para el uso ciudadano ha sido otra de las prioridades de la reforma, por lo que se han rehabilitado los entornos del parque y el Camí del Cel, mejorando la conectividad entre las diferentes zonas del Tibidabo.

La rehabilitación del edificio histórico, que ahora acoge un nuevo teatro de marionetas y una sala polivalente, ha sido la reforma más importante de las llevadas a cabo en el Tibidabo, con un presupuesto de 1.737.000 euros.

El objetivo del Consistorio ahora es mejorar los accesos al parque de atracciones, potenciando el transporte público por encima del privado. Por ese motivo, en el próximo año, se estrenará un nuevo acceso al parque ubicado al final de la parada de autobuses, y que se sumará a los ya existentes en la salida del funicular y del aparcamiento.

En fi nanos, dos dies i més festaaaaaaa!!!! Farraaa guarraaaaa!!!

I fell in love with Barcelona during a school trip in 1999. Since then I’ve visited three more times and always keep finding fascinating new things to see and do.  The first visit was a good grounding because I was shepherded around by teachers, along with thirty or forty other pupils from my college. We saw all the biggest, most familiar sights like the Antoni Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia/Parc Guell/Palau Guell, and the Museo Picasso but it took future trips to uncover some of  the other gems that really make the city a part of my heart.

There is something about the atmosphere of this city that enthralls me. It’s definitely somewhere I could live because there’s so much to see and do, culture pouring from every alley and infused in every grubby brick. It’s the character of the different districts that combine to create the intoxicating whole. I’ve mentioned the umami concept in another post, this is certainly a case of a city flavoured by complementary parts.

A 2002 solo visit led to many hours of endless and aimless wandering through the alleys, across the squares, and around the marina. This time opened up Barcelona’s character for me as a fun-loving, artistic and vibrant centre. It has everything that other regions of Spain have only in parts. Because I was travelling alone, and only 19, I spent my time nervously shuffling between benches and supermercados. Too poor to afford hot food or much beer and too shy to strike up conversation with other travellers. I used this awkward time to discover more about what made the city tick. I think it’s the people that make the place. They straddle the line between rude and obnoxious or warm and proud. They lend an edge to the city as a melting pot of various Spanish ethnicities and numerous North Africans collide and whirl. Catalan and Castillian are heard everywhere so that sometimes you’re not quite sure whether to say ’si us plau’ or ‘por favor’ to the shop patron. I always settle for the former and switch if I get a bemused look.

I returned in 2003, this time with friends to try and share how I felt about this magical city. I don’t think they quite got it. The vibe is not always the same if you’re trying to show that elusive feeling that swept over you in a particular place. We did mix with other travellers this time and visited all the major sights in the city again. They were I think under-awed.

The last time I visited Barcelona was in the summer of 2006 and this was perhaps my favourite one. I travelled there with my girlfriend and threw myself into showing her all the places I loved most, this time with rather more money in my pocket. It made an awesome difference. Highlights of this trip included climbing the stairs of the Sagrada Familia to the dizzying top, a sweaty and dusty climb up Tibidabo to get an incredible view of the city, a visit to the monastery of Montserrat outside the city, and various lovely restaurants. The food aspect sealed the deal for both of us. Despite our hostel having an amazing guy who puked on himself and rolled around in it all night, the trip was a great success.

We ate and drank well, nowhere better than the tiny bar called El Xampanyet near the Museo Picasso. This place sells their own cava and serves tapas endlessly. It’s rammed by early evening so you have to get there early. The reward for that is a hot (as in in-demand) table in one of Barcelona’s busiest spots from which to observe the citizens going about their nightly routines. The cava is like the nectar of the gods themselves, I am not wrong – go there! A favourable mention must go to the Cafe Delfino near the old cathedral as it provided a tense food-ordering moment. We sat down and ordered what I hoped was the set menu with white wine (about 10 Euros if I remember correctly). The place was rammed with locals and their chatter was pure Catalan. The waiters looked like they’d had few foreigners in there but they were very welcoming nontheless. The tension revolved around whether I’d managed to order two fish dishes, which my girlfriend hates, and which would ruin her lunch. The menu didn’t seem to ally itself to any of the few Catalan or Spanish words I knew so I watched the serving hatch in anticipation. No need though, when our meal arrived I breathed easy – veal.

Parc Guell

Because of little places like El Xampanyet and Delfino Barcelona cemented its place in my mind as well as my heart. It’s a gem of a city in almost every way. Once you forgive the summer stench of the underground rivers (La Rambla is built over one such putrid stream) you can get to grips with the place and explore somewhere heaving with art and culture, though only booming for the past seventeen years. It’s a place that reinvigorates me and sparks my artistic side to life – something I woefully and sadly neglect these days.

Dissabte 07/11 ens van fer el comiat de solters. Estàvem a casa tan tranquils quan, de cop i volta, sentim des del balcó una colla de bojos que comencen a cridar, xiular i cantar: “Visca Hong Kong, visca Sabadell!”.

Treiem el cap i, morts de vergonya, ens adonem que hi ha tots els nostres amics a baix al carrer, vestits amb samarretes carabassa amb la nostra foto impresa.

Anteriorment ens havien donat una llista d’elements que havíem de portar.  Agafem els patracols, ens autodesitgem sort, i baixem al carrer.

El primer que van fer va ser donar-nos una samarreta temàtica a cadascú i dir-nos que ens poséssim els antifaços. Ens van repartir a cadascú a un cotxe diferent i apa, som-hi.

Però a on?

Aaaah, sorpresaaaa! Ja us ho trobareu!!!

Al final vam arribar al Tibidabo.

Va ser súper guai!

Un cop a dins, ens van començar a fer tot de proves. La cosa va començar malament, perquè la primera prova va ser: demaneu-li a algú de l’altre sexe que us descordi el primer botó dels pantalons i la primera senyora a qui ho vaig demanar va fugir corrents amb cara de “socorrs, un maníac”! Per sot una parella jove amb un fill es van prestar més a la conya.

Ens van fer un test de preguntes generals (resulta que jo sóc més bon hongkonguès que la Dawn catalana) o un altre tipus Su Media Naranja (us en recordeu?) amb pissarreta inclosa amb preguntes com ara “al llit quina és la teva postura preferida?”. Per sort vam acertar.

Però sens dubte el més espectacular va ser passar-nos tot el dia disfressat de princesa (jo) i d’Abeja Maya (la Dawn, que estava guapíssima!). Vam ser l’atracció de tots els nens. Per allà on anàvem, tothom començava a cantar: “En un país multicolooor”.

Va ser boníssim que, tot dinant, dos nens d’uns sis o set anys se li acosten a la Dawn i tots seriosos li pregunten:

- Com és que les abelles també veuen cocacola?

El Tibidabo va ser molt bonic. Ens ho vam passar molt bé. No hi havia estat des que l’havien reobert i trobo que l’han deixat molt bé: les vistes són espectaculars i l’han fet rotllo vintage, amb un toc antic que queda molt agradable, ja sigui per passejar-hi o per muntar a les atraccions. Val la pena!

Del Tibidabo vam passar un moment per casa i, ja canviats, vam anar a sopar. Teníem taula reservada a Eterna, un restaurant d’espectacle amb drag queens. Va ser molt divertit, cantaven cançons i es ficaven amb el públic. Això sí, la Dawn i jo ens vam passar tota la nit pregant que, sisplau, ens ignoressin. I per sort no se’ns van acostar!

El Dani i el Lucas es van partir el cul (ups!) de tant de riure!!!

Finalment vam acabar la nit cantant karaoke, on vam riure molt. Tant del que cantàvem nosaltres, com el que cantava la resta de públic. Hi havia molt de friki suelto! Un pavo que es pensava que estava a Operación Triunfo, i una senyora sudamericana que portava 10 copes de mes, no s’aguantava dreta, no veia la lletra de les cançons que cantava i tot i així va atemptar una vegada i una altra cançons d’aquestes súper karaokils de “me has herido, me ha robado el corazón y se ha ido con otra”.

La nostra colla vam cantar Entre dos tierras, Isla bonita, Mamma mia, Eternal Flame (la Dawn i jo), etc

Vam arribar a casa cap a les 5, reventats, però mlt contents. Els nostres amics s’havien currat un dia esplèndid!

100년 넘은 놀이공원, 바르셀로나의 띠비다보

매일 어스름이 짙어오는 늦은 저녁, 바르셀로나 서쪽 산 꼭대기에는 노란 조명으로 빛나는 건물이 하나 보인다. 낮이 되면 같은 산에 더 높게 솟은 하얀 통신 타워가 보인다. 워낙 평평한 지형의 바르셀로나이기에 어느 곳에서도 놓칠 수가 없다.

바르셀로나에서 가장 높은 ‘쿨세롤라 산 (Sierra de Collserola)’에서 시내를 굽어 내려다보는 것은 매일밤 노랗게 밝혀지는 살레시오회의 성심 수도원 (Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor)과 1992년 올림픽 때 지어진 통신타워 ‘토레 데 쿨세롤라 (Torre de Collserola)’뿐만이 아니다. 개장 100주년이 넘는 놀이동산 띠비다보(Tibidabo)도 있다.

띠비다보로 가는 길은 어렵지는 않지만 조금 번거로운 편이다. 시내에서 전차를 탄후, 트램과 케이블타로 2번이나 갈아타고 올라가야하기 때문이다. 하지만 그 길은 번거롭다는 생각도 잊게 할만큼 매력적이다.

1901년에 개통되어 지금도 삐걱거리며 천천히 언덕을 오르는 짙은 파란색의 트램은, 나무로 만들어진 실내 장식에 앤틱한 램프까지 그대로 남아있다. 트램이 지나는 산 제르바시 (St. Gervasi) 지구는 1900년대 초 도시가 확장되면서 바르셀로나로 편입되었고, 1930년대부터 바르셀로나의 부자들이 모여드는 부촌이 형성되어, 지금도 바르셀로나 24개 지구 중에서 가장 소득이 높은 곳이다. 20세기 초에 지어진 모데르니스타(modernista: 스페인 까딸루냐식 아방가르드 건축양식) 양식의 건물들이 언덕길을 따라 그대로 남아 고풍스러운 느낌이 물씬 풍긴다. 트램과 같은 시기에 개통된 케이블카는 언덕의 각도를 그대로 본따 실내가 계단식으로 만들어졌고, 산 정상에 오를 때쯤엔 바르셀로나 시내가 한 눈에 들어온다.

두 번이나 갈아탐에도 불구하고 시간은 그리 오래 걸리지 않는다. 20여분이 지나 도착하는 케이블카 역 앞 띠비다보 광장에는 수도원 건물과 놀이공원의 정문이 함께 눈에 들어온다.

유락을 위해 지어진 놀이공원과 경건한 수도원 건물이 크지도 않은 언덕 위에 함께 위치해 있는 것도 아이러니한데, 놀이공원이 ‘띠비다보’라는 이름을 갖게 된 연유에도 수도원이 한 몫을 하게 되었다고 한다. 높은 언덕 위에서 악마가 예수를 시험하는 성경구절의 라틴어에서 따온 ‘띠비다보’는, 바르셀로나 뿐 아니라 맑은 날엔 저 멀리 마요르카(Mallorca)섬까지 보이는 경관을 이름에 담고 있다.

원래 호텔과 카지노가 들어설 예정이었던 언덕을 19세기 후반 카톨릭 교회가 사들여 작은 수도원을 지었고, 엔릭 사그니에 (Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia)라는 건축가가 1902년부터 개축하기 시작해 대를 이어 1961년에 완성시켰다고 한다. 매일 밤 높은 언덕에서 빛나던 건물이기에 꽤 큰 규모일줄 알았는데, 오히려 생각보다 작은 규모에 놀랐다.

띠비다보 놀이공원은 스페인에서 가장 오래됐을 뿐 아니라 세계에서도 3번째로 오래된 놀이공원이다. 1901년 트램과 케이블카가 개통과 함께 개장되었는데, 유서깊은 놀이 시설들은 아직도 그대로 남아 관람객들을 반긴다. 사실 웅장한 규모와 놀라운 속도의 최신식 시설을 기대하고 띠비다보를 찾아간다면 작은 규모에 실망할 수도 있다. 하지만 띠비다보 놀이기구의 미덕은 한 세기가 다 되어가는 역사와 기구 위에서 내려다보이는 바르셀로나 시의 경관에 있다.

띠비다보의 상징이기도 한 빨간 비행기 라비오(L’Avió)는 1928년부터 운행되었다. 마드리드와 바르셀로나의 하늘을 처음 연결한 비행기 모형을 본따 만들어졌다고 하는데, 15초동안 자체 프로펠러로 돌며 바르셀로나를 파노라마로 펼쳐준다.
2층짜리 회전목마는 1910년에 만들어진 것을 보수한 것이다. 회전목마의 전유물로 느껴지는 오르골 음악에 맞춰 느리게 돌아가는데, 아이들은 한 바퀴 돌아 부모와 마주칠 때마다 손을 흔들며 웃음을 터뜨렸다.

1921년에 개장한 ‘딸라이아 (Talaia: 양쪽 끝에 탑승구가 달려 360도 회전하는 기구)와 1953년에 개장한 대관람차는, 대규모 테마파크의 놀이기구에 익숙해진 사람에게는 조금 시시해보일 수도 있다. 그러나 이 곳은 해발 500m. 의외로 빠르게 돌아가는 기구가 돌아가기 시작하는 순간 머리 속이 아찔해진다. 바르셀로나 시내의 모든 것이 한 눈에 다 들어오는 것이다. 사그라다 파밀리아, 아그바, 구엘 공원, 몬주익 언덕과 바다까지! 아찔함이 잊혀질만하면 내려왔다가 궁금해질 때쯤이면 다시 올라 아찔함이 반복된다.

자동차도 비행기도 경험한 세대인 내가 어린 시절 아빠 손을 잡고 타는 청룡열차, 엄마와 함께 소리 지르면서 탔던 바이킹에도 그리 신이 났는데. 한 세기 전 처음 비행에 성공한 라이트 형제와 동시대 사람들은 산 정상의 놀이 기구를 탈 때 어떤 기분이었을까.
꿈의 나라, 신비의 세계로 인도할 캐릭터도, 365일 내내 이어지는 축제도 하나 없는 놀이공원. 그럼에도 불구하고 100년 넘게 사람들이 찾는 이유는, 기구들 때문만이 아니라 가족과 함께 할수 있는 시간과 나눌수 있는 추억이 만들어지는 곳이기 때문일 거라는 생각이 들었다.

With visits in town this past week we forgot how much of the city we have yet to see. We picked the next two things we have been wanting to do which were Tibidabo & going on a Los Golondrinas boat tour. Every Barcelona guide book tells you that Los Golondrinas is okay but something that is good to do to see the outside view in. I however thought it was great. It is always hard to agree on things when you travel in groups of 9, but we all settled on a little cruise through the harbor and down the coast. They come every hour so while we were waiting we ran to the nearest supermarket on Las Ramblas to but some cheap appetizers and some 2 euro bottles of wine. The crew of Los Golondrinas were not exactly thrilled with us asked for a bottle opener and some glasses and the fact that we weren’t buying their over priced snacks and drinks. However, it was the perfect end to the day watching the sunset the ocean in Barcelona (we lost a few to the bottom deck due to sea sickness, however they still didn’t regret it). After the tour we went to a restaurant off Barceloneta, we knew they were generic but I will never do it again. Their cheap version of paella isn’t even worth the cheaper price. Maybe we went to the wrong one, even though they all look the same. I strongly suggest find your paella and spanish cuisine elsewhere.
The following day we went to Tibidabo, which is the complete opposite view of Barcelona. It was beautiful to see the whole city from the top, but also of the other side of Barcelona we never get to see. We did not get to see inside the church because there was a wedding going on inside, which would be any girls dream. How they managed to get all the guests to up there on time is quite impressive. The amusement park is also a little kids dream. If I didn’t feel like we were too big for most of the rides I would have suggested joining them. It was a great weekend in Barcelona as always!

After 2 months of looking up at Tibidabo, wondering what exactly was up there, I finally made my way up the mountain. We had to take the metro and 2 trams. It was a hike, but the view was worth it. The church that has been looking down at us all this time was just as beautiful as I expected. And the view was even better! There was a wedding taking place inside so we couldn’t go in. We explored the amusement park, and found that it is definitely a more of a children’s place. Either way, we enjoyed every bit the popcorn, candy apples, and cotton candy.

BARCELONA, 14 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

   El Ayuntamiento de Barcelona replanta durante este mes 16 encinas que arrancó del parque de atracciones del Tibidabo para construir la montaña rusa y que han esperado durante un año y cuatro meses en un vivero, informó hoy el Consistorio.

   El alcalde, Jordi Hereu, constató ‘in situ’ la operación, que supone el fin de las obras de construcción de la montaña rusa, y afirmó que el Ayuntamiento cumple los compromisos. “Dijimos que las encinas volverían al parque y hoy las retornamos”, afirmó.

   Según Hereu, es un “magnífico ejemplo de recuperación del espacio público”, y añadió que se demuestra que “las obras con calidad y respeto ambiental son posibles”.

Los trabajos de restauración vegetal del entorno han supuesto plantar más de 217 nuevos árboles, 2.134 arbustos y 5.964 plantas herbacias, y culminarán con la replantación de las últimas cuatro encinas que seguirán un año en el vivero.

   La construcción de la nueva atracción causó el malestar entre los vecinos y la oposición por la tala de árboles durante las obras de la infraestructura. El grupo municipal de CiU interpuso un recurso contencioso administrativo contra la construcción de la montaña rusa.

|Tibidabo|Un menor muere tras desvanecerse por causas naturales en el Tibidabo

Fuentes del parque aseguran que el chico no había recibido ningún golpe ni había sufrido ningún daño en el recinto

Barcelona. (EFE).- Un menor falleció anoche por causas naturales tras perder el conocimiento mientras se encontraba en compañía de otras personas en el parque de atracciones del Tibidabo, han confirmado fuentes del Hospital Clínic.

En un comunicado hecho público la empresa que explota el parque, explica que el joven, de entre 15 y 17 años, perdió el conocimiento mientras se encontraba dentro del recinto ferial con otras personas, y que fue atendido en un primer momento por el médico de guardia del Tibidabo.

Fuentes del parque de atracciones han explicado que el joven no había sufrido ningún accidente en el recinto ni había recibido ningún golpe.

Las mismas fuentes han añadido que tras perder el conocimiento, y a instancias del médico que lo atendió, el joven fue trasladado en ambulancia al hospital Clínic, en donde falleció “por causas naturales”.

So remember that scene in Vicky Cristina Barcelona where Javier Bardem is talking with Vicky (or was it Cristina?) about “making eh-love” (or breaking up or getting back together or Gaudi or something like that) at an amusement park overlooking the titular city whilst a big red plane ride slowly rotates behind them?

Well, as my lovely Polish bride and I recently discovered on a humid, jamon-flavored jaunt to the Catalonian capitol (seriously…even the potato chips there taste like ham), the scene was filmed at Tibidabo, a weird amalgam of Catholic grandiosity and a mountaintop version of Pinocchio’s Pleasure Island.

Unnervingly, the name Tibidabo is a contraction of the Latin phrase “I will give it to you” from the Bible story where Ol’ Scratch tempts Jesus in the desert…which definitely gives one pause when you’re staring across at the Temple de Sagrat Cor cathedral from the top car of a Ferris wheel 100 yards away, wondering if you’re about to sprout donkey ears and/or cloven hooves.

Not that reveling at a seemingly Satan-sanctioned theme park appears to bother the locals much:  in fact, based on the city’s iconic, Vegas-style Sagrada Familia and a big, weird devil parade the wife and I stumbled across at one point, I can only surmise the Barcelonans of Catholic España simply enjoy a little bit of sin mixed in with their salvation.

Anyway, to reach the park, take the L7 metro to the Tibidabo (Plaça Catalunya) stop, then switch to the Tramvia Blau tram, then switch again to the Tibidabo funicular (emphasis on the FUN!) — and don’t worry if you stay too late at the park and find the tram has stopped running for the night: as the wife and I discovered, it’s a relatively quick, safe and architecturally interesting walk back down to the metro station!

Matemáticas de la ESO. Ejercicios prácticos, consta de 8 DVD. Cada uno de los DVD está formado por una serie de capítulos divididos en diversos temas, de entre 5 y 10 minutos de duración cada uno de ellos, en los cuales se acompañan los conceptos de matemáticas explicados en ellos con ilustraciones e imágenes.
Es una obra de carácter audiovisual, producida por Tibidabo Ediciones, S.A. Ha sido creada por un equipo de más de 40 profesionales, formado por profesores de matemáticas, profesores de ciencias y psicólogos.  Su finalidad es facilitar la comprensión y asimilación de los conceptos matemáticos, consiguiendo, de este modo, desarrollar con más facilidad las facultades de razonamiento y abstracción de los alumnos de ESO.

Στην περίοδο τον διακοπών πήγα και στην Βαρκελώνη στην Ισπανία. Είναι μια πόλη θα έλεγα μικρή σε σχέση με την Αθήνα και σαφέστατα με μικρότερο πληθυσμό (Περίπου 1,6 εκατομμύρια). Είναι μια πόλη όπου φιλοξένησε ολυμπιακούς αγώνες και έμειναν πολλά πράγματα από τότε.

Πρώτα από όλα το μετρό εκτίνετε σε ένα μεγάλο μέρος της πόλης. Έχει 8 διαφορετικές γραμμές οπού συναντιούνται αρκετές φορές. Με το μετρό μπορεί να πας οπουδήποτε με ευκολία. Το αρνητικό είναι ότι στους σταθμούς δεν έχει καθόλου κλιματισμό και ότι τα ταβάνια είναι χαμηλά και βαμμένα μαύρα. Άλλο ένα περίεργο είναι σε κάποιους σταθμούς για τη μετεπιβίβαση σε άλλη γραμμή θα πρέπει να διασχίσεις μεγάλους διαδρόμους μήκους 800 με 1000 μέτρα.

Η πόλη έχει ποδηλατοδρόμους και σχετικά καθόλου κίνηση. Τα πεζοδρομία δεν έχουν σχεδόν καθόλου εμπόδια και είναι άνετα.

Κάποια από τα μέρη που επισκέφτηκα και είναι τα ακολουθά. Το Aquarium με πολλά ψαριά, καρχαρίες σε ένα εντυπωσιακό ενυδρείο. Ο ζωολογικός κήπος, με παραστάσεις από δελφίνια και πολλά ζώα σε πολύ καλές συνθήκες διαβιώσεις. Το κάστρο montjuic, καλοδιατηρημένο και πραγματικά τουριστικό. Το Ισπανικό χωριό. Η πλατεία της Ισπανίας και το μουσείο τέχνης όπου μπροστά του κάποια βράδια έχει παράσταση με μουσική και σιντριβάνια. Ο καθεδρικός ναός και η γοτθική συνοικία. Ο μεγάλος πεζοδρόμος της La Rambla με τους street performer. Το Tibidabo Luna park και η μεγάλη εκκλησιά στο βουνό. Το λιμάνι με τα εστιατόρια με φρέσκα θαλασσινά.

Εσκεμμένα άφησα για το τέλος της δημιουργίες του Antoni Gaudí, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Guell Park και την τεραστία εκκλησιά που ακόμη δεν την έχουν ολοκληρώσει Sagrada Família. Όλες οι δημιουργίες του είναι προστατευμένες από την UNESCO σαν έργα πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς. Οι εμπνευσθείς του βασιστήκαν στην φύση, την θρησκεία και τον γοτθικό ρυθμό. Ήταν ένας από τους νέο μοντερνιστες. Χρησιμοποιούσε πολύ τα υλικά όπως το μέταλλο, το πλακάκι, την πέτρα και φυσικά εντόνους χρωματισμούς και καμία ευθεία γραμμή. Δεν πρόσεξα καμιά ευθεία κολόνα στα κτήρια του.

Είναι ένας πολύ όμορφος προορισμός για φθινοπωρινούς ή ανοιξιάτικους μήνες. Ο κόσμος είναι πρόθυμος να σε βοηθήσει αν και πολλοί δεν ξερόυν αγγλικά. Υπάρχουν πολλά δρώμενα από πλανοδίους performer και υπάρχουν πολλά μαγαζιά για ψώνια για όλα τα βαλάντια. Το νερό είναι ιδιαιτέρα ακριβό. Γενικά είναι μια πόλη εύκολη με εντυπωσιακά αξιοθέατα.

Life is all fun and games when you want it to be. I was taught how to laugh at myself when I was nine years old by a camp counselor. Ever since then, it’s been something that I’ve been good at. I can handle humiliation, I’ve learned how to take a joke. I feel like people are in too much of a hurry to grow up, and many never find the time to see the humor in things. Some lack a good sense of humor, which sucks for them. I think that in the end, it’s all jokes anyway. The whole world is a joke, and we’re obliviously playing along. Maybe one day we’ll get it, but until then the joke’s on us.

Spanish Excursion # 2

Aujourd’hui, Maria and I went to Tibidabo, which is an amusement park located on a mountain with a gorgeous view of Barcelona. I’m pretty sure that we made it to all of the rides, with the exception of all the little kid ones that we’re way too good for. And also probably don’t fit into. We went on Hurakan nine times and ended up soaked to the bone. We also went on the Pendul, a giant pendulum which took us 38 meters into the air and then dropped us at the speed of 100 km/h and holy shit I thought I was going to die. But after the first two swings, it turned from OH MY FUCKING GOD into delirious giggles. I like it when it feels like I am flying and I love the feeling I get when my stomach drops to the bottom of my toes. It tickles. Well, after we got that ride checked off our list, Maria and I stood in line for an hour and a half to go into the Hotel Krueger, a haunted house featuring real actors portraying some of the scariest movie characters ever. Well, lets just say I’ve spent a good amount of time convincing myself that Jason Vorhees isn’t real, and this attraction contradicted everything anyone I’ve ever watched a scary movie with has ever told me. Hannibal Lecter is real, and he does want to sauté my lungs for dinner. I ran out the emergency exit before we were even halfway through. At least I avoided Leatherface. Scary movies are my guilty pleasure but when they come to real life, we don’t mix well.

I’ve just got to remember that it’s all in my head.
