What is time? Sometimes I wonder where is the time? Vanish somewhere in some place where we can’t be able to reach ever. We’re always running out of time and struggled to be on time every time, funny isn’t? That’s why I hate clocks . These days I feel that the time is passing too fast I don’t have time to finish what I have in mind.

Like that the days are passing and I’m not doing anything about it. Definitely from now on I’ll make some changes in my life. I should do something to make me feel better. Now it’s time to go (again time I’m fucking addicted . I’ll leave you with my thoughts I’m going to find my peace.

Does time actually equal money? I am discovering that many blanket statements that we make in this society taken literally are terribly detrimental to our well being. The first major insight into my own well being that I had once I decided to take care of myself was about my relationship to time.

I’ve been writing and thinking about the phrase “time is money”. I am guilty as hell of using it, but I don’t think I’ve ever really thought about its validity. Now I am starting to see that this very axiom of thought is one of the conditional feelings I had relating to my time more than my money.

If you really grab hold of this concept, you will be sent into a state of hurry. I had hit a new level of personal destruction once I started working 96 hour weeks. I am no superman as this didn’t last too long. But I was not nearly compensated for the effort and time I put in.

The reality is that time is a fundamental quantity and money is not. What that means is simply that time is the basis of many equations, and our scientific definition of it allows us to calculate things like velocity, or calendar dates for seasons, history, etc… Money on the other hand is not a fundamental quantity because it really doesn’t have much effect on time.

Time will be there long after humans won’t be, but if there are no species using an economic system, there would be no need for money. One could probably write an entire thesis on the subject, and I am not that one. I’m simply trying to make a point.

Now don’t get me wrong. Time helps us calculate money like interest. Banks charge interest on loans by the length of time the loan is for, and the period in which charges occur. Banks also give interest to people who use their institution as the savings location on their money. One of the scary things about this relationship is that the bank makes you pay 7% or more for their money, but only gives you 3.5% at most for your money. This relationship is all too one sided as our current economic condition tells us. But again I am no economist, and will not discuss the ethics of this malignant relationship of our society.

The truth is that we as a hyperactive society must break this “time is money” relationship. For those bad at word problems the word “is” is the same as “equals” in an equation.

Time = Money

Look at that equation for a minute. It’s just not that simple. Will you pay me for my time if I come to your house and stand there for an hour. No. There is no perceived value in that. The fact is that the time money relationship is far more complex than this blanket statement.

As I am exploring the negative effects my experience of time has had on my life, I am finding that I must look at time from a perspective that allows me to value what makes me happy. Einstein seems to have believed that time is relative to the observer. If your life is in warp drive, do you think you have a healthy observation on time?

I’ve sacrificed the last half of my 20’s working like an insane ADHD dog chasing his tail. Once I stopped due to my burnout I observed time differently. I now tend to breathe more. I spend more time working on things of value to me like my relationships, improving my writing ability, walking, stopping, and much more I am excited to experience once again.

Thanks again for taking your time to read my writings. I appreciate having the opportunity to share, and your visit.

Sincerely,

I.M.

It sounds so money oriented, but that is life.

But this term is not used by backpacker/s since none of them put this term in their dictionary.

But if you dont like this term just think that “time is so valuable”. will you waste it all the time? Come on..

“The Kirin Tor,” I replied without hesitation.

“Why’s that?” he asked.

“Because pretty much everyone in Dalaran is a member of the Kirin Tor,” I answered.

Considering how much I pay for inscription mats, not to mention repair costs, it’s a no-brainer to focus on the reputation that will lower those costs by 20%. (Unless you’re a goblin, but nobody’s a goblin yet, except possibly Gevlon.) I buy inscription mats on my main, who *is* Exalted with the Kirin Tor, and mail them to my alt scribe, who *isn’t*. That’s 10s less on every Resilient Parchment I buy, and considering I usually craft at least a hundred glyphs a week (usually several hundred), that’s 10 gold in savings right here. Now think about repair costs, after months of raiding…

Boa tarde a todos!

Li uma matéria agora na Folha de S.Paulo, e achei interessante colocar aqui! O título é “A eficiência do encontro marcado”.

“Time is money”!

Times are tough. And everyone is out to get a good deal. But it’s really hard to pay your bills when you work for free. So here’s some tips on getting paid for your work in the service industry.

1. Agree on a price and get a deposit. I prefer 50%.

2. Make sure the deposit goes through. Sometimes those pesky checks have a way of bouncing out of your bank account. And this incurs an ugly fee.

3. Do the job on time and do it well. Who wants to pay for a crummy job. Great work means happy customers.

4. Get paid in advance for services you sub out. Sometimes clients have a way of disappearing, even if they give a deposit.

5. Get paid for the job upon completion.

Beware of these excuses:

6. I’ll pay you next week. I need the job now. (That’s what credit cards are for. Otherwise no deal.)

7. I have lots more work to give you. I will keep you so busy. Please just let me have this now. (That work will never come. If it does, good luck getting paid for it too.)

8. How about a trade? (Usually the trade is for something you don’t want or need, if you ever get it.)

Remember, your time is worth money. Check out this link:

Sometimes Iwish I could just take photos all day long, with no regard to their commercial value … There are so many subjects that make fascinating images without otherwise amounting to real artistic or business value.

But maybe a commercial/artistic filter is a good thing to help ensure and improve quality?

The combination of digital photography with Photoshop™ etc. post-processing offers up such an array of presentation options that I could spend all of my time “playing around” …

But the goal must be to produce an outcome of value, not to just goof around. This requires reproducible processes, careful evaluation of images produced, and adherence to principles of artistic rigor (if there is such a thing).

Isi Waktu Luang Dengan Berbuat !

Hungarians are generally very friendly people. The other night we pointed a young woman in the right

Hungarians are generally very friendly people. The other night we pointed a young woman in the right direction to a cafe where she was meeting someone. Instead of heading straight off she paused to ask us where we were from and where we lived in the US…and it was kind of awkward, but that was possibly because she seemed shy and perhaps was a little unsure of her English. Anyway, we went to Buda, the side with all the history (well, the palaces and fortifications anyway, and walked around the Royal Palace and went into the Budapest History Museum (in the enormous Wing E of the even more enormous Palace).
Before we got there we had to get up the hill that the palace grounds were located on. Instead of taking the funicular for once we walked up the stairs and understandably had to pause for a breather and take in the view of the city at the top. It was here that A.I. (his names started with an A and an I) grabbed our attention as we were intentionally screwing up an English sign by throwing in Hungarian and Spanish pronunciations (zs = s, cs = ch, s = sh; c = th, x = sh). Many Hungarians can speak English, all in varying degrees of fluency, AI actually had a pretty good grasp, but accents always make it unique.
AI had longish yellow (an odd colored blond) hair that appeared to be an attempt to cover oncoming balding, but would constantly be tossing about in the wind causing him to have his hand patting down his head every few seconds. He also had a mustache (what respectable Hungarian doesn’t) that grew down to the sides of his mouth and curled into his mouth (I suspect that he kept it trimmed by occasionally munching on it, like how people chew on their fingernails). On his first approach, AI expressed to us the difficulty of navigating the palace grounds and how he could assist us in surveying the entire area while also giving us an extensive yet succinct lesson on the history of it. The palace grounds were apparently a labyrinth that even the most savvy of tourists could not explore without perishing, and that even the most dependable of guidebooks could not get you through all the “right and left, right and left” motions (this was done with an odd flapping of his hand to display the constant weaving). For most of this monologue, in case we were to suddenly doubt his credentials and were slow readers (of 4 words and a flag), he was holding his Tour Guide badge at head height about 3 inches to the right of his bouncing mustache. He even pointed out that we didn’t have to pay until the end of the tour to ensure that we still had the option of not paying due to dissatisfaction.
Important fact: AI had an extremely strange way of talking, and this is besides his accent. At various and innumerable points during his speeches he would change volume (in musical terms: dynamics). Sometimes a pleasant crescendo or diminuendo from a piano to mezzo-forte, but all to often with no progression he would leap from forte (on the cusp of yelling at us) to a pianissimo (did he just say weiner?). There was one point where he was impressing on us the importance of knowing where you were by explaining (and I am summarizing somewhat here, but the final sentence is exact):
“(mf) Many tourists do not know where the cheaper and better restaurants are, but I am aware of these things and I can even tell you the quickest ways to get there. (mp) And this is all part of the tour for 15000HUF for two that you get, these are some of the benefits. (cresc. back to mf) Many tourists do not know these shortcuts and end up wasting money and time, and I can save you money and time. (pp, and eerily drawn out) Time is money.”
And that was part of his second volley of words at us, for after explaining his tour services of the grounds he left, only to quickly rush back to us for “one more thing!” Round two consisted mostly of his extra services (nothing perverted) of further knowledge of the city and food savings. Then he left us again.
But before we could escape he pounced again (well, his mustache did anyway). The driving force of this third movement was his explanation that he was (once again) much better than any of the guide books and then he charged straight into a mini tour of the bridges that were visible from up the hill. Throughout all his dialogues his hands were in a constant changing movement from gesticulating (he loved to make points with one finger raised up, hand held at chest level), to patting down hair, to moving his bag a few centimeters, and also to holding onto his shoulders with his opposite hands for some reason. Indeed, at one point he explained about Hitler having a nightmare (pointed to his head, once or twice for odd lengths of time, possibly forgetting that he had placed his finger up there) about the Russians crossing the Chain Bridge and how it was then destroyed.
After the visible bridge tour he asked (summarizing again) “(mf, somewhat excited) I can take your picture with the Chain Bridge in the background. (f, more excited) Have you taken a picture with the Chain Bridge? (we’re ok) (mp) This is also a service I offer, (cresc. to mf) for on the tour there will be numerous opportunities to take pictures and I can take pictures of the two of you…(pp, oddly) with your camera.”
It was a truly bizarre and, after we recuperated, a decidedly enjoyable experience. Ultimately we did not take him up on his offer as having to negotiate his mixture of volumes (accent alone would be fine, but couple these together and you end up hearing some things he doesn’t say) would have been an exploration in brain stamina. As we left the Budapest History Museum, sure enough, we found him with a happy couple. I don’t know if they had trouble with his dynamics, but they were all speaking Hungarian together and smiling so it couldn’t have been that bad. And of course, he was taking their pictures and keeping his hair in place.

My new little friend “TI BA Plus Pro” has spared me the dubious excitement of algebraic truth-seeking so far, while the underlying logic is quite straightforward. I have only been through Time Value of Money problems though, and things are likely to get more complex.
