Since Oprah dropped the ball on her favorite things this year, it looks like I’m going to have to take up the slack (incidentally, I’ll also be taking over for Oprah when the daytime talk show queen turns in her microphone).  I’m sorry I won’t be able to send Backseat Writers a crap load of cool stuff to celebrate “Amy’s Favorite Things” (AFT) but you do have a chance to win an AFT Prize Pack, which includes an Oh Deer Super Dooper Pocket Pooper Keychain, a stuffed cow I got for free at Chick-Fil-A, an unopened package of Ice Breakers Ice Cube Gum I found on my desk, a beautiful star ornament created with my very own hands, and a personalized Christmas card with a holiday picture of my dogs inside (actually, anyone can get one of those, just e-mail me your mailing address).  Who needs fancy schmancy items like digital cameras and expensive make-up when you get can win stuff like this?

Yes, people, I’ve joined the Twitter revolution!  It’s oh-so-fun to exchange silly banter—all in 140 characters or less. (Incidentally, that gushing statement about Twitter is only 119 characters!)

KRISTIN CHENOWETH

OK, while Kristin Chenoweth isn’t a thing; she’s a person and I’ve written about her before (“Snooked on Pushing Daisies“), but there’s more Cheno love to share.  Last spring, Kristin released her authobiography, A Little Bit Wicked, this fall she starred on one of my favorite shows, “Glee” (also performing a rousing duet of “Alone” with Matthew Morrison aka “Mr. Shue”) and she just made a Lifetime movie, The Twelve Men of Christmas.  Plus,  she’s the voice of Rosetta the fairy in the Tinkerbell movies.  There there’s Maddie’s Corner, an organization started by Kristin to help people and animals.  Yes, Kristin has a dog named Maddie and I have a dog named Maddy (Madalyne)!  Who knew? Suffice to say, Kristin Chenoweth is still smokin’ hot and undoubtedly one of my favorite things, er, people.

HOLIDAY ANIMAL CANDY POOPERS

I’ve known about these things for a while, but they never fail to crack me up.  Maybe I’m just immature, but a reindeer with a cranky face pooping brown candies out of his butt is really funny to me.  Plus, the candy-filled key chains and toys have all sorts of hilarious names like Poo-lar Bear (The Sub-Zero Poopin’ Hero), Baa Humbug Sheep (The Grumpy Party Pooper), and Oh Deer! (The Super Duper Reindeer Pooper). Because I love these things so much, I’m offering one of these little guys in my Prize Pack.  It’s a keychain version of Oh Deer for Pooper lovers on the go.

“GLEE”

Is this show great or what?  Singing, dancing, high school drama, a hot Spanish teacher—it’s all the stuff that I wish I had in high school (minus the drama—no one wants that!)  Plus, the cast on “Glee” can really sing.  I’m especially impressed with Lea Michele who plays young starlet Rachel Berry (my fave character) and Matthew Morrison’s vocals have really grown on me (especially during his “Alone” duet with Kristin Chenoweth as well as his mash-up of “Young Girl” and “Don’t Stand So Close to Me”).  Jane Lynch is also notable as the gym teacher everyone loves to hate—Sue Slyvester.  And that’s how Amy sees it.  Hmm, sounds better when Sue says it.

What a storage site!  Not only can TinyPic be integrated into your social networks like Twitter and Facebook, but it also offers dandy photo editing tools to touch up digital photographs in a hurry.  No need to use Photoshop for minor edits and TinyPic offers a ton of storage, as well as printing options (which I have yet to use).

HOODED SCARVES WITH POCKETS

Hooded scarves with pockets (HSwP) are a fashion must (guys, feel free to tune out).  It’s a hat!  It’s a scarf!  And it’s got pockets for storage!  I’ve only seen two of these out in the great wide yonder—there was a beautiful cream-colored HSwP at Target for around $17, but the knitting was shabby and coming undone—pass!  I found another HSwP online at Bath & Body Works of all places—a pink, gray, and white patterned beauty that cost $20 on clearance; it has since disappeared.  Sadly, the HSwP pictured on the left is $200, and even though it has faux fur and button—that is still way too pricey.  Even this amazing brown Fair Isle knit is $50, but I can’t figure out how it looks when worn.  If any of you know of any hot deals on HSwP (buttons preferred), let me know!

Last time I mentioned Photobucket. According to these days, the site already has 8,586,710,278 photos (that’s a few more hundreds of millions pictures than last week…).

Like you know me already, I’m not a fan of the automatic choice when it comes to sites, and I like to explore the web and find better alternatives. When it comes to photo-sharing websites, I have a few main criteria to decide whether I want to use the site, and how often. The first criterion that Photobucket manages to supply very well is the amount of photos in the site. With more than 8 billion photos (and keeps growing bigger) they can assure me I won’t get board. Another few important measurements are the site options (can you upload the photos and then use them in social-media sites? Can you edit the photos before sharing them? How long can you stay ammoniums and when do you need to subscribe?), and how simple and comfortable to work with.

The best site in that field to my opinion is Flickr. Thanks to the site simplicity, every layman can get wonderful performances.

With 8 steps, you can host the pictures online, edit them, organize the photos (that is a really important tool especially if you are photo-addicts and have to immortalize each moment in your life…) and spread them across the web. The site is really comfortable and easy to use- and I highly recommend it.

Another really nice site is Tinypic.com. Although it is less common among surfers, he is very useful. You can view random pictures or most popular, check out what’s new on Twitter or your favorite category (retro, relationships, etc.) and upload your own. Then, you can buy a product with the photo you like (your own or just one that you liked).

For more sites like Photobucket, enter the list and see all of the results. If you found a better site than the 3 that I mentioned, I would like to hear about it.

Today we are happy to announce we have brought back Favorites for everyone.  In the past we had allowed people to favorite images and videos when not logged in.  We removed this featured shortly after launching accounts.  Well, we’ve brought it back.  You can now click “Add to Favorites” on any of the pages with this option and save the image or video to your favorites.  If you are not currently logged into an account, favorites will be saved as a cookie on your computer.  So be careful!  If you delete your cookies, your favorites will go away.

We would like to note that if you have favorites and then register or login, your favorites will be automatically loaded into your account.

In addition to bringing back Favorites, we have also started cleaning up the site a bit.  We are working on adding some more useful features in the near future.  We hope to be coming out with a custom code generator so you people who like to use your images with CSS or want linkable thumbnails will be able to generate these codes.  Please keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks for these things!

Today we’ve launched Glogster on TinyPic. Glogster allows you to create posters with your images from your TinyPic account.

To access the Glogster editor, login to your account on TinyPic.

Select an image, and click on the Posterize with Glogster link located in your toolbox.

3. Setelah muncul Blog editor, klik menu Tools -> Configure Blog Accounts.

4. Klik Add new Blog, di sini silahkan pilih penyedia layanan blog yang digunakan. Misal yang digunakan adalah wordpress, maka :
-> pilih “my blog is hosted on a service”, Hosting services pilih “wordpress”.
-> username, isi dengan username kamu.
-> password, isi dengan password kamu.
notes : bila penyedia layanan blog-mu gak ada di list, pilih aja “I host my blog, or the service I use is not listed” (misal kamu punya hosting sendiri).

tunggu bentar, biar dikrossCek :p

5. Nah silahkan bikin artikel yang sebagus mungkin :p
6. kalo’ udah, di bagian bawah blog editor masukkan tag yang diinginkan.
7. truz, untuk mempublikasikannya, klik tombol Publish

di situ ada beberapa opsi untuk postinganmu, silahkan tentukan :
-> post to the following blog  = pilih penyedia layanan blog (kasus, pilih wordpress)
-> Categories = pilih kategori untuk postinganmu

• ngeblog jadi lebih cepat ketimbang lewat browser. soalnya, kalo’ lewat browser khan harus request halaman dulu tu , belom login via https yang lumayan lebih makan waktu, ngeload image, banner, dll. kalo’ lewat blog editor, koneksi dengan server hanya akan terjadi beberapa kali aja, dan itu tidak berat, karena yang direquest ke server benar-benar yang dibutuhkan aja . Cocok banget buat yang koneksinya lemot, koneksi ke server bisa lebih stabil.
• pulsa jadi lebih hemat, soale buat ngetik kita juga gak perlu online kuq . ketik aja semalem suntuk, atau kalo’ pas postinganya puanjang, bisa sambil leyeh-leyeh (santai) tanpa harus takut argo berjalan :p
• Cocok lagi buat blogger yang mood-mood-an (koyo aku). Soale postingan yang belum dipublish bisa disimpan :p. klik menu file -> save draft (ctrl+s). so..kalo’ sekarang belom kelar nulis, bisa dilanjutin lagi bulan depan, wkakakaka

Al staff de Gmail y de Blogger los invito, porque ustedes pueden, a que verifiquen en mi correo electrónico los cientos de e-mail que durante años he estado dirigiendo a docenas de alojadores para reportar cuentas infractoras, que lo único que esa gente despiadada hace es comerciar con el dolor de tantas criaturas al rededor de todo el mundo! Porqué renunciar? Porqué temer?

No son pedófilos simplemente, son delincuentes, no solo distribuyen y almacenan pornografía infantil, también la fabrican y la comercian, entonces, porqué callar? Denunciar si! Si se denuncia, pero han transcurrido meses y años en espera de que las autoridades mundiales se den cuenta que el nido de ratas y bestias salvajes o peores que eso, está dentro de los foros boylover, girllover y childlover que durante tanto tiempo he denunciado.

Para qué ir más allá? Esos depredadores viven en esos “hogares del mal”, habitan en “esas universidades del crimen”, porque buscarlos en donde no están?

He recibido un e-mail con amenazas de muerte de un mexicano que denuncié en días pasados y al cual le eliminaron una página, no por santo precisamente. El año pasado le reporte dos páginas, una de videos y otra de fotos y un blog, que fueron eliminadas en segundos, hay registro fílmico de una incursión en su cuenta del foro, donde a través de mensajes personales intercambian pornografía dura y pura de niños, especialmente en imgsrc.ru, mucha de ella eliminada a la fuerza; ahora, escribe en el foro que me hará algo (me matará?) para que los deje tranquilos.

La hermandad de estos foros con el sitio Imgsrc.ru, que acosado el año pasado duró más de un mes sin servidor que le prestara servicio, finalmente se vio obligado a borrar cientos de álbumes y miles de fotografías de niños que muchos fueron violados y desaparecidos durante años, caso Duncan, Jura, LLoyd y algunos de sus amigos, luego de años, se ha venido a conocer la verdad, pero no fue precisamente por los foristas de bl.net si no que Skinny Bravo director de Imgsrc.ru en un intento por detenerme me envió fotos y videos de los muchachos en la época actual, tristes, con su mirada perdida, como cuando los desaparecieron, y esto que me hace pensar? Que la mafia rusa de pornografía infantil sigue funcionando, y que sus movimientos los hace a través de la página imgsrc.ru, eso en llave con el dueño del foro boylover.net que es de origen Israelí, y del cual tengo otros datos (IP’s), además de charlas en chat, claro, sin que supiera que su interlocutor era Joshua, su correo electrónico es amirih@h(edit)il.com, y entonces, repito, porque buscar en el lugar equivocado?

En Youtube hay más de 200 cuentas de pederastas disfrazados, unos de gay (quieren involucrar a esta población gay de manera infame, como en meneame.net los usuarios skanda y happyfreedom) y otros con camuflaje de dulces amantes del “talento infantil”, es impresionante la cantidad de depredadores detrás de los canales de muchachos virtuosos e ingenuos que son abordados por estas lacras boylover y girllover, y pregunto, porque buscarlos donde no están?

TinyURL is a nifty little application that makes sharing web-based resources much easier.  Often, we wish to share a web page, an online article, or a blog post with others, but often the URL’s of these resources (their web addresses) are impossibly long, which means that if we try to cut and paste them into an email, they break, making it impossible for our recipients simply to click on them. Tinyurl to the rescue!  Just past that long and complicated URL into the little box, click the “Make TinyURL” button, and you automagically get a manageable URL that’s very easy to share.  Neato!  AxisPortals has been relying on this service for a long time, and can’t imagine how anyone ever gets along without it.  This is the polite, audience aware way to share a link.

TinySong

TinySong makes sharing musical sentiments quick and simple.  If you want to say “You Send Me” to a loved one, just enter the name of the singer or the title of the song, select the version you’re after from the results list, and pass along the link.  The TinySong service is provided by Grooveshark, a free online music service that will definitely keep you and your computer in the groove.

TinyPic is a video and image sharing service that is particularly useful for quickly locating backgrounds and illustrations for blogs, social networking sites,  and webpages.  Fair warning:  not every image available on TinyPic is appropriate for the younger set, and the site does rely heavily on advertising.  Still, the service can’t be beat for speed and convenience.  For instance, it didn’t take long at all for AxisPortals to find both a snowy wood and a sunny stretch of beach.

1. Open the Flock browser.
2. Log into your TinyPic account. You can:
   • Enter the web address (http://tinypic.com) and log in.
   • Click the Log in button below the TinyPic logo on the Flock – Getting Started page (if this page displays).
   • Click the key icon near the top left to open the Accounts and Services sidebar, then click TinyPic, and log in.
     
3. Click the Open Photo Uploader icon . The Photo Uploader displays:
4. Drag images from the flock browser to the Photo tab. Or, click Choose Photos at the top left to choose images from your computer.
5. Select the account to which you want to upload photos using the drop-down list at the bottom right. If you have only logged into your TinyPic account, that is the only account that you can choose.
6. Click Upload, and choose your upload settings.
7. Click Upload. Your selections are uploaded to your TinyPic account.
8. Click Open the Mediabar to show the mediabar and your new uploads. Click back to uploader to upload more images.
