This is a breakfast casserole recipe that I usually reserve for the winter holidays. It has become a favorite of our house guests.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb Mild or Hot Pork Sausage
• 1/2 Cup chopped onion
• 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
• 7 Cups Hash Browns (cooked)
• 1/2 Cup 2% Milk
• 8 Large Eggs

Directions:

1. Cook sausages in a large skillet until sausage crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain.
2. Cook hash browns according to package directions.
3. Mix hash browns, sausage, and cheese. Pour into a greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
4. Mix eggs and milk together. Pour evenly over hash brown mixture.
5. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.

Serves 10. 415 calories per serving.

Karena suatu alasan tertentu, Anda ingin merubah atau convert file PDF tersebut menjadi dokumen Ms. PowerPoint. Baiklah berikut ini langkah-langkahnya.

Cara Convert PDF to Ms. PowerPoint Document:

1. Download dan install aplikasi PDF Converter di sini
2. Jalankan aplikasi PDF Converter, kemudian ikuti langkah-langkah berikut ini:

So now, back to focus on the writing. I’ve now read no fewer than five of those books about how to succeed with self-publishing and marketing your e-book. Some of the main lessons in all these books (now they tell me…) are about things you should do BEFORE publication so I’ll be trying these out. One piece of advice many of these books give is about self-publishing on Kindle and then being able to give away free copies on selected days. Now neither of my e-books (“Lights! Camera! Gallop! The Story of the Horse in Film” and the short story book “Because it is Written”) are in my control so I haven’t been able to do the give-away thing. But I’m determined to publish the new one myself through Kindle Direct Publishing.     

So, I’m starting the new book now. The plan is to aim it at a younger audience than Lights! Camera! Gallop! The Story of the Horse in Film and I’ll give it a more playful focus. There will be some horse film stars in it and lots of pictures. It’s going to be about the huge variety of colours horses can have, and the different names for them (sometimes the same colours have different names in the UK and USA). The colour of a horse is often carefully considered in film-making and there’s been a whole raft of theories about the symbolism of a horse’s colour. Just as a director might have definite views about whether to choose a dark haired actress such as Angelina Jolie or a blonde like Reese Witherspoon, he or she would also decide carefully between a black stallion, which might hint at, say, power, mystery, secrecy or even death, or a white one, which would traditionally suggest innocence, light, sun, vitality or resurrection.

Such interpretations of colouring are not set in stone and are sometimes reversed, as for example a pale horse might symbolise death. The star horse in the various Black Beauty films, being all based on the book of the same name, had of course to be black in colour but his character was also very carefully and very strongly shown to be good: brave, faithful and patient. Then there is my own favourite colour: the Palomino. I’m thinking Roy Rogers’ Trigger or the legendary talking Mr Ed.

Jujur… terkadang saya suka bingung untuk menjawabnya… Bukan karena apa-apa, tapi karena tidak ada kiat-kiat khusus yang bisa saya bagikan karena semua ini saya katakan adalah sebuah anugrah dari Yang Di-Atas.

Kalau dulu jaman SMA, ketika saya benar-benar mencari beasiswa, banyak hal yang dilakukan… Mulai dari  datang ke kedutaan besar luar negri, mengikuti seminar-seminar pendidikan, aktif melakukan searching di internet, dan masih banyak hal lain yang saya lakukan. Tentunya itu adalah hal yang sangat basic dan bisa dibilang wajib dilakukan oleh semua siswa yang menginginkan studi di luar negri.

Namun ketika semua hasil usaha kerja keras itu membuahkan hasil yang mana beasiswa sudah hampir di depan mata, saya memutuskan untuk mengurungkan semua itu karena beasiswa yang diperoleh hanya mencakup biaya kuliah saja. Tentu saja keputusan saat itu merupakan sebuah keputusan yang berat. Ibarat kata sudah bersusah payah dan memperoleh hasil, namun harus rela melepasnya begitu saja. Namun saat itu saya perlu sadar diri bahwa untuk hidup di luar negri tentunya memerlukan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Saya bukan berasal dari keluarga orang kaya yang bisa dengan mudah begitu saja menyekolahkan anak-anaknya diluar negri. Saya ingat betul kata-kata mama saya saat itu

“Kalau kamu kuliah di luar negri papi mami mungkin bisa saja membiayainya. Tapi disini mungkin papi mami, koko dan adekmu akan cuma makan nasi putih aja…”

Mama saya sangat tau bahwa saya sangat bernafsu dan bersemangat sekali untuk bisa kuliah di luar negri. Namun mendengar kata-kata seperti itu tentu saja saya tidak mungkin mengorbankan keluarga saya sendiri meskipun demi masa depan saya nantinya.

Akhirnya saya harus menahan ego, meski begitu saya masih berusaha mencari beasiswa lain yang bukan hanya mencakup biaya kuliah namun juga mencakup biaya hidup. Sehingga nantinya kuliah diluar negri tidak akan membebani orang tua. Sampai akhirnya saya menyerah dan akhirnya melupakan mimpi-mimpi saya dan menjalani kuliah di Indonesia saja.

Disaat semua mimpi tersebut sirna begitu saja seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, ternyata Tuhan mewujudkan mimpi saya untuk kuliah diluar negri dengan cara yang lain. Sampai dengan saat ini… saya berdiri di sini… Kuliah di Jepang, beberapa kisah ceritanya bisa dibaca di Behind The Story Goes To Japan.

“Kuliah di luar negri bukanlah suatu hal yang mudah”

Kalimat diatas perlu dicamkan baik-baik oleh semua orang yang mengincar beasiswa di luar negri. Saya menyadari itu semua ketika saya kini sudah menjalani semuanya selama kurang lebih 1,5 tahun di Jepang. Kuliah dan hidup diluar negri itu ga gampang. Pressure dan kesulitan-nya berkali-kali lipat dibandingkan di Indonesia. Terkadang orang sering berharap bisa kuliah di luar negri dengan bayangan bahwa hidup diluar negri bakal lebih indah dan menyenangkan.

Kenyataannya???

Setelah menjalani nya… Tidak seindah yang dibayangkan. Kita butuh ekstra kesabaran, ekstra usaha, ekstra tenaga, dan sebagainya. Dan yang terutama… MENTAL HARUS KUAT. Saya mensyukuri bahwa dulu saya tidak ngoyo dan nekat untuk kuliah di luar negri. Ternyata Tuhan punya maksud dibalik itu semua.

MENTAL… Ya… Masalah MENTAL…

Mental saya dipersiapkan lebih kuat agar ketika menjalani kuliah diluar negri saya masih bisa control and manage myself. Jika mental saya tidak kuat mungkin sekarang ini saya sudah gila menghadapi semua kegiatan dan kesibukan yang sungguh luar biasa berat.

Mencoba menilik kenyataan yang ada di Indonesia. Pernah lihat tidak bahwa kebanyakan lulusan luar negri yang kembali ke Indonesia biasanya lebih sukses dan digaji lebih besar?

Pada dasarnya sebenarnya kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia dan di luar negri itu kurang lebih sama loh… Lalu kenapa bisa begitu? Kenapa lulusan luar negri biasanya digaji lebih besar?

Untuk menjawabnya, kembali ke hal yang saya utarakan di atas. Salah satu hal yang membedakan adalah MENTAL.

Yang berhasil menyelesaikan pendidikan diluar negri biasanya memiliki mental yang lebih kuat karena sudah mampu menempuh hidup yang prihatin di luar sana. Selain tentunya pengalaman-pengalaman dan hal baru yang diperoleh diluar sana.

Namun masalah mental itu sebenarnya kembali ke diri orang masing-masing kok. Meskipun kita di Indonesia, kita bisa kok memiliki mental yang kuat asalkan kita mau menempa diri kita menjadi pribadi yang tangguh dan tidak mudah terbawa arus yang buruk begitu saja. Toh bisa kita lihat kenyataan lulusan luar negri tidak semuanya sukses bukan?! Bahkan banyak lulusan dari universitas yang ada di Indonesia bisa lebih sukses daripada yang berasal dari lulusan luar negri.

So… kuliah di Indonesia?!

WHY NOT?!

Semoga itu menjadi pemicu dan menguatkan teman-teman semua yang mungkin gagal memperoleh beasiswa diluar negri. Yang jelas jika kuliah diluar negri sebaiknya jangan menyusahkan orang tua. Jangan bernafsu untuk kuliah diluar negri jika kondisi ekonomi keluarga tidak memungkinkan. Sebisa mungkin HARUS cukup hidup dengan beasiswa yang diterima. Jangan nekat dan memaksa, karena akan banyak pengeluaran yang tidak diduga sebelumnya setelah kita kuliah di luar negri nanti. Jika memang jalannya, Tuhan pasti akan membukakan jalan tersebut tepat pada waktunya.

Jika tulisan postingan ini sejak tadi nampak tidak memberikan tips apapun, sebenarnya bukan maksud untuk membuat kalian down dan kemudian menjadi hopeless. Melainkan untuk menguatkan mental kalian untuk menghadapi kenyataan sebenarnya kuliah diluar negri nantinya. Jika bermimpi dan bercita-cita kuliah diluar negri, tentu saja jika kalian harus mengejar mimpi dan cita-cita kalian tersebut.

Sebenarnya, cara mudah memperoleh beasiswa diluar negri adalah dengan langsung mendatangi kedutaan besar milik pemerintah negara tujuan yang diinginkan untuk sekolah. Disana kita akan mendapat informasi yang lebih update dan lebih terpercaya daripada sekedar informasi di internet.

Sebisa mungkin kita harus sering datang ke kedutaan, meng-update informasi dan tentu saja rajin bertanya.

NAMUN…

Memperoleh beasiswa memang tidak mudah. Otak genius terkadang menjadi salah satu syarat yang pertama dan utama. Tentunya seleksi yang ketat akan membuat kita yang memiliki kemampuan pas-pas an tidak mampu bersaing. Bukan begitu??

Tapi… Bisakah orang yang memiliki kemampuan pas-pas an memperoleh beasiswa?

Jawabannya BISA.

Selain kita bisa tunjukkan kelebihan kita dibidang lain, tentu saja faktor luck dan jalan dari Yang Di-Atas yang menentukan.

Lalu bagaimana jika kita tidak memiliki kedua faktor tersebut? Bagaimana cara memperolehnya jika kita ingin sekali kuliah diluar negri?

Jawabannya adalah SEMANGAT… Jangan pernah lelah untuk mencari beasiswa. Sekedar tips rahasia bahwa tidak semua beasiswa harus melalui seleksi dan berbagai macam syarat yang ribet dan memusingkan. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan mengikuti program short-term yang diadakan oleh kampus diluar negri.

Dengan mengikuti program short-term, kita akan lebih tau kondisi dikampus luar negri dan bisa mencari celah bagaimana memperoleh beasiswa. Salah satunya dengan mendekatkan diri dengan dosen misalnya.

Eits… Ini jangan disalah artikan kita menjadi seorang penjilat loh ya…

Disini maksudnya adalah kita menunjukkan kepada dosen ditempat kita melakukan short term bahwa kita adalah murid yang memiliki attitude yang baik dan tentu saja prestasi akademik yang tidak mengecewakan. Tunjukkan bahwa kita memiliki kemauan dan semangat serta kerja keras yang melebihi orang lain. Dosen akan respect kepada kita dan tentu saja jika kita meminta bantuan kepada dosen, dosen akan dengan senang hati membantu. Bahkan mungkin dosen akan memberikan dan menawarkan beasiswa kepada kita secara cuma-cuma.

Intinya adalah buktikan bahwa kita bisa dan kita layak memperoleh beasiswa jika kita menginginkannya.

Itu adalah sedikit bocoran bagaimana saya bisa berada di Jepang sekarang ini. Dibandingkan dengan siswa lain, kemampuan saya mungkin hanya biasa saja dan masih banyak siswa lain yang prestasi akademiknya sangat jauh lebih baik dari saya. Tetapi usaha ekstra yang saya lakukan untuk menghafal speech dalam bahasa Jepang saat farewell party seusai mengikuti short term program memberikan impresi yang luar biasa dimata dosen. Alhasil sekarang saya bisa berada disini. Padahal ketika melakukan semua itu dulu, tak terbersit sedikitpun untuk bisa memperoleh beasiswa loh.

Kedepannya tentu saja kita harus siap mental dan tunjukkan bahwa apa yang sudah dilakukan dosen untuk membantu kita memperoleh beasiswa bukan suatu kesalahan. Buktikan prestasi kita… Buktikan kemampuan kita dan niscaya kita akan menjadi sukses nantinya… Amin…

Lo de mi amigo Mikel es una cosa tremenda. Cada vez que me pasa alguna sesión o grupo o algo, acabo completamente flipada. La última fue descubrirme los recopilatorios de una genialísima y totalmente recomendable web llamaba BIRP!. Andaba yo cocinando y de repente saltó un tema en el mp3… ¿pero qué demonios es eso? ¡Mis pies! ¡Parad! ¡Socorro! ¡Que se me caen los macarrones! Me he sorprendido a mi misma con el cucharón al aire cual baqueta improvisada mientras sonaba el “The Hearse” de Wampire.

Este tema con nombre poco menos que tétrico abre el disco debut de este dúo de Portland, Oregon. Wampire son dos, si señor, aunque en los directos sean alguno más. Rocky Tinder y Eric Phipps tienen pinta de frikis que han salido de la orla del instituto de la peli “Halloween” o cualquier peli pseudo-porno-terrorífica de finales de los 70 – principios de los 80. Las fotos de promo de estos especímenes producen hasta pavor, y hasta que no les escuchas no sabes desde donde (o mejor dicho, de cuando) narices han aterrizado estos dos.

Tanto ha sido el pelotazo que han dado que les ha llevado a firmar por el sello Polyvinyl, al que también pertenecen Japandroids, y con el que han editado su primer largo, titulado “Curiosity”. En unas semanas telonearán a STRFKR en su gira por Estados Unidos, pero de estos ya hablaremos más adelante. El caso es que los chicos de Wampire empezaron en la música hace mucho, cuando aun estaban en secundaria (ahora tienen 25 años). Bien es cierto que Portland ha sido la cuna de muchos grupos que han dado el pelotazo al otro lado del charco.

La descripción de “The Hearse” que ha hecho Stereogum me ha encantado: “suena como si perteneciera a la gramola de un antro donde Bela Lugosi sirviese bebidas”. The Guardian lo definen como “un Black Maria a la fuga conducido por Herman Munster en 1964″.

¿Y a nosotros que nos parecen? Pues meted en una coctelera algo de synthpop, una pizquita de los grupos más rockeros de los 70 rollo Deep Purple, y todo eso aderezado con un poco de garage. Raro, lo se… pero suenan de lujo.

Many users see the Bounce Rate as a marker of how their site is working at visitor retention, without knowing where those visitors are coming from.

My tip is to look at Traffic Sources > Sources > All Traffic – each source has its own Bounce Rate which is a more accurate indication of visitor behaviour.

For example, visitors from Facebook and Twitter may only want to interact with those specific pages you have shared (often Blogs posts or news stories) – they may already familiar with your site so have no desire to look further than the post itself. This does not mean the site is not performing well. Where as a high bounce rate from organic Google visits may indicate that you have an issue with visitor expectations – which would need to be addressed.

By filtering your Bounce Rate you will have a better understanding of where you need to focus your attention.

1. You need to choose your priorities – and then keep these as your priorities, despite the temptation to do something else.  We know that everything of value comes with a price; so decide what matters the most to you.

2. Accept that you won’t do everything well then identify your own unique talents and strengths. If you invest your time and energy in those, you will find you are effective, and you’ll feel more fulfilled.

3. Although we talk about balance, and doing different things, you can end up feeling pulled in a million directions. So, try and combine things whenever possible – like building friendships round interests, hobbies and sports.

4. Cut the time you spend on social media. It’s fine as a distraction when you’re taking a break, or as a treat or a reward at the end of the day. But make sure it’s an extra that you’re able to control.

5. Related to this, be aware of the people who will drain you dry – the whiners and complainers, and those who waste your time. You need to be quite ruthless and put up boundaries to stay on track, and on the journey to your dreams.

6. Be realistic and lighten up. There will always be some setbacks and some obstacles. Recognise that it is normal – there’s nothing you can do. Give yourself a break, don’t freak out, or get uptight. Just relax, and have a laugh – and see some progress has been made.

Science, either you love it or you don’t. Whether your class is for another few core credits or a senior thesis, odds are you will have to some type of research project down the road.

The thing about research projects is that your information or topics don’t really have to be all that interesting. Research projects are more often than not, about presenting of already documented information. Therefore, a lot of the success depends simply finding credible, relevant information and communicating it a professional and effective manner.

Here are 5 tips to pulling off a successful research project whether it’s an oral and visual presentation or simply a paper:

 1. Sources

Usually your professor will want you to cite a certain amount of sources. Whatever your topic may be, the important thing is to as many sources with different perspectives as you can. For example, if you are researching how fossils are preserved by today’s archaeologists you should look at one source of what technology is used, what is a main cause of contamination or damage, and how is this different than practices were 10 years ago. These are 3 sources about 1 topic, all from different perspectives. Your professor will love this.

 2. Get a Little Personal

If you have some experience with the topic or know someone who has, include those thoughts feelings on it. If you’re doing a project on Ducks going extinct and your father is a man who hunts, cite his behavior as something a hunter (person of interest to the project) who do or say when faced with legal or moral liabilities when it comes to killing ducks. This helps make the research relevant to real-life situations and all the more real to the person grading you.

3. Quotes and Pictures

In the case of a paper it is usually more applicable to use a quote from an expert on the topic but sometimes pictures or charts/graphs can be implemented as well. For a visual presentation, relevant pictures are a must. A research poster can have all the information in the world but without relevant images it’s like staring at an oversized book page. Clearly label relevant pictures with subjects in bold, descriptions lighter and slightly smaller font, and mix up how you cite single ideas. (Don’t get crazy with bullet points, use hyphens, numbers, etc)

4. Proper Title and Intro

As I stated before it doesn’t matter how uninteresting or crappy your topic may be. Just pick a topic and stick with it. If you’re researching “Quality of Fossil Care in South America”, simply state that as your title. Don’t try and get creative and call it “Low-Quality Preservation of Historical Objects in South America”. Believe it or not titles can betray us by making people think you are arguing for a cause instead of doing research and any claims made in your title will be expected to be followed up on or proven in the paper or presentation. For argument essays this is good, but for research just stick to the most notable facts.

5. Organization

This is actually easier with a poster or PowerPoint for most than it is with a paper. In a paper state what you are talking about and just stay on task. Don’t veer off into another area of research in that paragraph, you’ll get to it later. While your professor might not be an English teacher, proper writing is still a big part of any presentation so if nothing else, just show your reader you are organized even if your grammar or wording is awkward. Same thing for visuals, organize ideas, associate with pictures; place them where they are distinguishable.

- Permen karet: taruh es pada area yang yang terkena noda. Setelah permen karet membeku, akan mudah dilepaskan. Selanjutnya Anda bisa mencuci jeans seperti biasa.

- Lumpur: rendam jeans di dalam air hangat yang telah dicampurkan detergen, diamkan selama 5-10 menit setelah itu bilas hingga bersih.

Cara mengeringkan:

Setelah dicuci, jeans perlu dikeringkan dengan benar yaitu dengan cara dijemur  dalam kondisi terbalik dan digantung dengan hanger. Jemur jeans ditempat yang terbuka namun tidak terkena sinar matahari langsung. Hal tersebut agar warna jeans tidak mudah pudar. Sebaiknya, jeans jangan dikeringkan dengan mesin cuci.

Setelah dikeringkan, sebaiknya jeans tidak dilipat. Simpan dilemari dengan cara digantung menggunakan hanger untuk menjaga bentuk aslinya.

Perbaikan Jeans:

Jika terdapat beberapa kerusakan pada jeans Anda, sudah saatnya membawa jeans ke tukang jahit langganan untuk diperbaiki.

-          Minta agar sebisa mungkin jahitannya bergerak sesuai arah rajuan. Hal ini akan membuat perbaikan pada jeans hampir tidak kelihatan.

Rundell (2-45 Haydock) reappeared in a hot York Handicap last week and finished a very creditable second. He gave the impression that day that not only would he improve for the run but also for the return to better ground. Richard Hannon’s inmate looks well treated and though this is a competitive race he has strong claims.

Baltic Knight loos a great bet in the Silver Bowl Handicap at Haydock, 3-15. He followed up his reappearance win with a staying on third in a Listed race at Newmarket. The ground was possibly just a touch to quick that day and the forecast good ground should suit. As will the step up in trip and there looks to be plenty more to come, especially with the drop in class in his favour.

The highlight of Saturday’s racing is undoubtedly Haydock’s Group Two Temple Stakes at 3-50. There is only one horse of interest for me in this race and that is Clive Cox’s high class colt, Reckless Abandon. He won a whole host of prestigious Group One and Two races last year including the Norfolk, Middle Park and Prix Morny. Providing he has trained on he could prove to be one of the greatest British sprinters for a very long time. He should take this en route to Group One prizes later in the year.

Albert Bridge is a very interesting contender in the 3-05 at Goodwood, Ralph Beckett has said it is all about the ground for him and there has to be some “give”. His reappearance run his best forgiven and he has always appeared the sort to have a lot more to offer. Already with some good form to his name including runner-up in Leopardstown November Handicap he could be up to taking this valuable handicap.

Mark Johnston’s runners at Goodwood should always be respected and his Flashlight warrants maximum respect in the 3-35. His stamina was probably stretched over a mile and a busy schedule may have resulted in him weakening in the latter stages at Chester. Now freshened up by a break and dropped in trip he appears to hold every chance. Already with some smart form to his name over this trip including when second to Polski Max and Hillstar.

To say this is a step up in class for Moment In Time is rather an understatement, an 11 length winner of an apprentice handicap last time out is now pitched into Listed company. He was well held by Boonga Rooneta at Bath but is still lightly raced and the extra distance here could see him reverse placings with that rival. Whether he has the class is questionable but he is lightly raced and does appear to have a good engine.

Apologies for the lack of originality in York’s Spring Sprint at 2-55. I feel that Duke Of Firenze is potentially group class and this sort of mark in a handicap makes him far too tempting to resist.
