Baru-baru nih result bahagian pengambilan pelajar.aduss…! aku dah la penat-penat mohon memang taw tak dapat.nak buat rayuan secara online boleh plak dia paparkan permohonan aku tak da dalam database???aku siap ada salinan permohonan muktamad lagi…salinan tuh cume boleh print bila da klik muktamad dalam permohonan…ape la bahagaian pengambilan pelajar Uitm ape jadi???aku malas nak telefon kompon susah nk dapat punyer aku da antar email sedang menunggu jawapan email dr BPP[Bahagian pengambilan pelajar] Uitm…bwh ni lah yang buat aku bengang lebih bengang dari lagu Akim – bengang tuh….Akim pon orang johor beb,member aku mase PLKN cakap kenal die sebab satu kelas sek menengah..ntah btol ke ntah…

Duşi de chiraiala zilnica, de grohăiala politicianista, de cotcodaceala columbenista, de OTV-ismul otrăvitor, de ratoielile din trafic şi de luptele meschine de la birou, de goana după bani, bani, bani, lipsita de orice satisfacţie durabila şi reala,  n-am observat cum o lume întreagă care făcea parte din noi, dintre noi, una dintre puţinele “lumi” valoroase,  se duce, pleacă, intra pe o uşă pe care nu se va mai întoarce niciodată. A murit regele, l-am şi îngropat … maestre Dinica, bineînţeles ca nu-mi vine sa cred, fie ca Dumnezeu sa te distribuie în roluri care sa-ţi placa mult, acolo în teatrele lui din cer; ei bine regele a murit, l-am plâns, l-am jelit, l-am îngropat. Pe cine punem în loc?

Nu asa era replica asta: “Regele a murit! Traiască regele!” …?

Ba, asa era, va spun eu. Dar nu mai avem candidaţi. Se pare ca familia regala, adevărata familie regala a României ( din care fac parte toţi oamenii valoroşi, nu numai actorii), familia regala nu a produs niciun urmaş demn. Mai trăiesc câţiva membri, sa-i cinstim cât mai sunt printre noi! dar dacă în acest estimp nu vom găsi nişte moştenitori vrednici, undeva pierduţi, uitaţi, fie şi dintr-o ramura secundara a acestei familii aristocratice, o sa rămânem fără capete încoronate. Încoronate cu talent, demnitate, valoare, gratie, sensibilitate, farmec ……….. adică toţi acei oameni care ne dau cu generozitate bucurie, fericire şi nu aşteaptă de la noi decât dragoste.

Ştiţi pe cineva, aţi văzut pe undeva vreun urmaş de-al lor?

Bravoooo! Bravooo! Bravoo! Jumătate din sala a sărit în picioare în prima milisecunda după încheierea spectacolului aplaudând frenetic. Aplaud și eu cu lacrimi în ochi, mai de la ceapa împrăștiată pe scena, mai de la emoțiile încă nelămurite, nedeslușite, nedisecate. Bravooo! Actorii ies, intra, ies, reintra … Bravoo! Tiuielei, fluierături, aplauze, emoție. Bravoo Sumudicaa – cel mai bun motan birmanez actor pe care l-am văzut vreodată – mai apuc sa zic înainte ca actorii sa intre în culise definitiv.

La “România! Te pup” – în regia lui David Schwartz, producție a Teatrului Național Vasile Alecsandri din Iași, prezent în FNT doar o singura seara – la aceasta piesa am intrat fără așteptări.  Eram sever dezamăgită și total dezgustata de “Cum traversează Barbie criza mondiala”  – regia Alexandra Badea, la Timișoara, văzută cu doua seri înainte și în general de piesele văzute în ultima vreme. De cum am pășit în sala Atelier a TNB, colțurile gurii mi s-au lăsat și mai tare în jos.  Dintr-o scurta privire în jur am înțeles ca va fi din nou vorba de o regie moderna, post-moderna, avangardista, pana mea – genul fără complexe și în niciun caz clasica. Da, ce sa-ți spun! Majoritatea pieselor au regie post-moderna azi – postmodernismul e atât de folosit încât nu mai pare modern deloc.  Iar ne așteptau actorii pe scena; iar decorul era sugerat; iar păreau a face dintre noi; unii fumau, altii vorbeau într-un colt. M-am așezat îmbufnată pe scaun și am încercat sa ma înarmez cu multa-multa răbdare.  “Mbuah – cine știe ce crize de isterie artisticoide și cu pretenții de talent oi vedea și în seara asta … mormăiam în barba care-mi creștea de la o secunda la alta!”

Într-un final a început.

Încet-încet sala a început sa chicotească, sa gâlgâie sa freamăte, sa participe, sa rada, sa vorbească: “Da … nu … iar ne da cu spray în nas … ce face cu ceapa aia? … hahaha … hihihi … hohoho!”

De pe la mijloc, spectacolul m-a subjugat cu totul. N-am mai gândit, n-am mai apreciat, n-am mai emis judecăți de valoare. Toata energia mi-am folosit-o pentru ceea ce se întâmpla pe scena: pentru ca pe scena (în sfârșit!!!) se întâmpla ceva în fiecare colt!

Un 10 maaare mai ales in contextul reprezentațiilor mediocre din ultimii ani.  Pentru exemplul dat teatrelor bucureștene. Pentru echipa, regizor, dramaturg. Pentru actorii care au muncit efectiv – iar comparativ cu actorii din București, au muncit enorm. Cred ca actorii din Iași reușesc sa repete în 2 timpi și nu doar într-unul cum fac mulți din capitala.

Mâine încă doua și gata: “Omul perna” în regia lui Radu Afrim și “Poveste de iarna” a lui Hausvater.

Last night was a haunted night. It was just after mid night, I was resting over L shaped sofa in front of  the TV.All of a sudden the ceiling fan turned very fast. I asked anybody who changed the setting and I was told to open my eyes.( I was very sleepy at that time).

Unbelievable! All the lights were very bright and blinking. I thought I had a dream. But it was real. The car parked opposite of my house started sounding its alarm.

I heard loud noise from the back of the house. I picked up my mobile phone and called Alex who is my immediate neighbor.

” Hi Alex..what is happening right now?”

“Nothing”

I asked..

“How are your lights..”

He said..

“Alright..they are stable”

Then I told him what is happening inside my house. He told me to switch off my main switchboard.Luckily, my glasses were just beside me.

Switched off..then darkness..and all of a sudden became very  quiet.But there was a smell of burning something.

I used my mobile phone’s LCD  light to look for the main entrance key. I could not find it. Then I switched on the light again.

Good..it seems to be all right. But it was a grave mistake I have done. The light became very bright and finally the main switched tripped off.

Dark,Quiet, and Silent..

I went out of the house. Alex was waiting for me with a small torch light, candles and a gas lighter. Then only I realized most of my neighbors came out of their houses.

Later I found out that was due to faulty circuit breaker at power line near by my house. I have slept quite late with windows opened in darkness.

Next morning I found out that an air conditioned unit, adapter of a lap top, and a few  extension wires were burnt due to sudden surge of electricity.

I was haunted by our Power supplier, well this is the only time I have encountered.Some says I can claim for compensation. But there will be a lot of paper work to be done.. I guess.

TNB, Malaysia’s main energy provider……and probably majority of our other beloved Government-linked Companies (GLCs), have always had the reputation of an organisation of political cronies that basically feeds from its monopoly privileges, and in all the bloatedness, spends extravagantly including supporting part of the government’s bloated civil service.

And that’s why, I guess, it explains their nonchalant and irresponsible attitudes………often resulting in unexplained and unexpected blackouts, overbilling, energy wastage, lacklustre working attitude of their staff……the list goes on and on………..

And yet, they still saw it fit to impose a tariff hike recently, citing rising cost of everything under the sun but failed to mention it’s also nicely timed right after an extremely generous pay hike for all their top executives!!!!

But because we are left with no other alternatives, we should therefore continue to love and tolerate their incompetentness……just like we do with the rest of what’s wrong with this country’s administration……..

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Bernama) — Siemens Malaysia Thursday expressed its interest to take part in the transmission line project of the Bakun Dam project to take place soon.

“It is my sincere hope that Siemens’ competitive and energy efficient technology can be part of this flagship project,” president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Rainer Althoff said at his farewell soiree today.

The project, which is expected to be fully commissioned by 2012, will be able to export electricity to Peninsular Malaysia.

Once completed, it will be the largest dam in the region outside China.

Althoff, who will retire as Siemens president and chief executive officer will be replaced by M. Prakash Chandran, its executive vice president and head of energy sector Asean.

Prakash will assume the role from Nov 1, 2009 and he will continue with his cluster role as the head of energy sector Asean.

He said Siemens Malaysia will to continue to chart its business atmosphere in the country with new ideas and innovations.

Despite the current economic downturn, he said the company remained in a healthy shape with promising prospects for the future.

“We believe that our innovations are geared to play a key role in creating a responsible and sustainable way of living and in doing business here in Malaysia,” he added.

KUALA LUMPUR: Siemens Malaysia Sdn Bhd is looking at providing solar energy in Malaysia, especially in the interiors of Sabah and Sarawak, its newly appointed president and chief executive officer M Prakash Chandran said.

“Renewable energy will be one of our focuses. I personally believe there is potential for the use of solar energy in Malaysia, and not just in terms of putting solar panels on top of roofs. We’re talking about industrial generation,” Prakash told The Edge Financial Daily.

He said Sabah and Sarawak are ideal locations for generation of solar energy, as they were situated in the rainforest region on the equator.

He added there was a lot of potential for solar power in Sabah, where some villagers were “marooned” and had unreliable electricity supply.
Siemens AG, Siemens Malaysia’s German parent, has already provided solar power to 25 villages in Africa, with a capacity of between 40 and 50MW, Prakash said.

He also said the company had set up one “small” solar plant in Kuala Lumpur, although it has yet to be fully utilised.

Meanwhile, Prakash, who is also executive vice-president and head of Siemen’s Asean energy sector, said the sector also represented a key business area for the company in its Malaysian market.

“The power sector represents between 40% and 45% of the overall content of Siemen Malaysia’s business,” he said.

He said the company has built energy substations for TENAGA NASIONAL BHD and Sarawak Electricity Supply Corp (Sesco).

Siemens Malaysia is now looking into providing the SCADA system in Sabah and Sarawak. The SCADA system is a control system for the monitoring and control of power distribution networks.

He said while the company had yet to receive the mandate for expanding its provision of the system, it had built the basic, main SCADA system in Sabah, and was now looking into various extensions for that.

The company is also involved in the Sarawak Bakun hydroelectric project, for which Siemens Malaysia together with MALAYSIAN RESOURCES CORP [

] Bhd, have been contracted to build a switchyard and control building.

Siemens has also made Malaysia its regional centre of competence for its industrial power generation sector, such as in the technical support and sales for turbines, while the country will also handle the power transmission and distribution business for Singapore and Brunei, a venture Prakash himself had just implemented.

Prakash added the oil and gas segment, under its energy business, would also be a focus for the company, partly given his personal interest in the sector as this was where his career began.

Prior to joining Siemens Malaysia in 1996, he had worked at ABB Industrial & Building System Sdn Bhd, whose key business is in power technologies. He started his career in his home country of India with Crompton Greaves Ltd, which designs and manufactures electrical equipment for electrical substations.

Prakash said under Siemens Malaysia’s energy business, it was looking at providing high voltage direct current (HVDC) for oil and gas (O&G) applications, such as for connecting O&G platforms to land. HVDC is used for transmitting bulk power over long distances.

Meanwhile, under the industry business, Siemens Malaysia is also in the midst of conceptualising electronic mobility in Malaysia, where it is already working on some e-mobility projects in Singapore, such as in providing charging stations for e-cars.

Prakash also said he saw a lot of opportunities in the transport and mobility sector here, where it could leverage on its experience in providing baggage-handling system for the Express Rail Link (ERL) between KL Sentral and the KL International Airport.

The ERL is operated by Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd, a 50% subsidiary of YTL Corp Bhd. YTL Corp and Siemens Malaysia have also been exploring the possibility of building a Kuala Lumpur-Singapore bullet train project, although the federal government had put this on hold due to its high cost.

Prakash was, however, optimistic on Siemens Malaysia’s prospects should such a project materialise.

“If for example there is something to connect Malaysia and Singapore coming up, for sure part of our system has to be used for optimisation. Everyone who has been there first will get some benefit,” he said.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sumatera-Peninsular Electrical Power Interconnection Project, which is jointly developed by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) and PT PLN (Persero) of Indonesia, is scheduled to be operational by 2015.

The electrical interconnection project, which will have a capacity of 600 megawatts, will comprise 200km of 250kV overhead High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) double circuit and two 57km of 250kV HVDC submarine cables.

PLN is the state body responsible for all matters related to electricity supply in Indonesia.

TNB chairman Tan Sri Leo Moggie said the project was a step towards further enhancing the close relationship between the two countries’ power utilities.

“It is also an avenue that will bring us closer towards realising the aspiration of developing a fully integrated Asean Interconnected Transmission Grid, or the so-called ‘power highway’, among the Asean countries,” he said at the heads of agreement signing ceremony between TNB and PLN yesterday.

He said the technical and commercial studies jointly carried out by TNB and PLN confirmed the technical feasibility and economic viability of the project and the benefits it would bring to both countries.

“Major benefits of this interconnection project include the reduction in joint production and operating costs and the sharing of spinning (power) reserves and mitigation of demand-supply imbalance,” Moggie said.

He said the agreement, the penultimate step before an actual implementation contract, would focus and finalise the details of implementation through three main working groups.

“The working groups are expected to come up with their recommendations within six months of signing this agreement,” he said.

Meanwhile, Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui said the ministry viewed the interconnection project as one of the positive moves towards managing those issues through sharing of resources and expertise.

“Globally, matters related to energy and environment are becoming more prominent and have taken centrestage,” he said.

Chin said the issues being debated included an increase in fossil fuel prices and its depleting resources, environmental pollution, global warming, energy security and sustainability.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is expecting better profit for its current financial year ending Aug 31 (FY10) as the company is projecting higher electricity sales while keeping margins stable.

Coal prices for FY10 are forecast at below last year’s average US$90.20 a tonne but the higher average coal price in FY09 had crimped on the company’s profit.

“This year’s coal price will stabilise,’’ president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh told a briefing announcing the company’s results.

TNB made a net profit before forex translation loss of RM408.6mil in its fourth quarter. After factoring a forex translation loss of RM244mil and minority interest, net profit for the quarter was RM133.4mil, on revenue of RM7.46bil.

For FY09, TNB posted a net profit before the forex translation loss of RM2.1bil compared with RM2.54bil in FY08. The lower profit was attributed to the higher cost of coal paid during the year.

Che Khalib said the tariff adjustment TNB received in March provided a mechanism to mitigate the high coal prices up to US$85 a tonne.

After the forex translation loss, TNB’s net profit for FY09 was RM853mil, or 21.18 sen a share, compared with RM2.6bil, or 59.87 sen a share, in FY08.

For the latest year, TNB’s board recommended a final dividend of 10 sen gross less tax and a tax exempt dividend of 2.3 sen a share.

Commenting on its latest financial results, Che Khalib said demand for the year shrank 3.2% but expected 2010 demand to expand by 3%.

Helping the optimism for its current year was the recent trend in electricity consumption which on Aug 12 hit a new peak of 14,245MW.

“Demand has recently gone above 2008 figures,’’ said Che Khalib.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation margin for FY09 was 25.2% compared with 29.9% in FY08.

The company is expected to consume more coal as gas supplies are being hindered by ongoing maintenance work by Petroliam Nasional Bhd on its gas processing plant.

TNB needs about 1,250 million standard cu ft of gas per day but at times does not get that amount.

“So we must burn more coal and expect that to continue,’’ Che Khalib said.

TNB has secured its coal supply until the end of next year and capped its coal price at a maximum of US$90 until June 2010.

The company has forecast FY10 capital expenditure at RM4bil to RM5bil

SHARES of national power utility Tenaga Nasional moved up slightly to RM8.50 after the power utility announced on Monday a 2009 core net profit – net profit stripped of extraordinary items – of RM2.1 billion (S$862 million), 3 per cent above consensus estimates.

Even so, the utility’s core net profit slid 18 per cent year-on-year mainly due to decreased demand because of the recession and higher coal prices. Still, the company remains reasonably sound with free cash-flows of RM1.6 billion and gross cash balances of RM6 billion although it has always been in a net debt position: its total long term liabilities are a whopping RM31 billion.

What the company wants is a tariff hike which the government will consider in January. The utility, which is 70 per cent-owned by the government, can only raise, or drop, tariffs with government consent and it’s been lobbying Kuala Lumpur for a raise after it cut tariffs by 3.7 per cent in March. But fuel prices have gone up and the government has yet to agree.

It could be one reason why foreign shareholders seem to have given up on the company. The firm’s foreign shareholding has slid from a high of almost 29 per cent in April 2007 to only 9.7 per cent currently.

In many ways, Tenaga’s dilemma mirrors the government’s predicament: it wants to reduce the burden of rising subsidies in the power sector but fears a public backlash against rising costs at a time when the opposition is looking increasingly resurgent,

Currently, industrial and household users enjoy some of the cheapest rates in Asia courtesy of subsidised gas supplied to power producers by Petronas, Malaysia’s national oil corporation.

Indeed, the oil firm loses billions annually through the subsidies which is why Kuala Lumpur has agreed, in principle, to commit to a gradual move towards market prices. In that sense, a tariff hike could be an important first step in that direction although analysts still think it unlikely given that the power firm isn’t doing too badly.

Still, Kuala Lumpur seems to be preparing the ground for an eventual adjustment. Energy Minister Peter Chin has publicly said that consumers ‘would have to be prepared’ for higher tariffs going forward.

Petronas has also been lobbying for a move to market prices. At its peak, gas prices were at RM48 per million British Thermal Units (mmbtu). At that time, Tenaga was paying Petronas RM14.31/mmbtu, a subsidy of over 300 per cent. Currently, the utility’s subsidy has eased to a still-sizeable 50 per cent.

A tariff hike would benefit the firm: it flows directly on to its bottom line. Even so, some analysts think the power firm is overrated from a valuation standpoint. Analysts at Arab-Malaysian Bank estimate Tenaga’s ‘fair’ value at around RM8.30.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Bernama) — TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd (TNB Remaco), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), was awarded a RM117 million contract by Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB) for the maintenance of nine gas turbines generators and their auxilliary systems.

The units are at PGB’s centralised utility facility (CUF) in Kertih, Trengganu and Gebeng, Pahang.

The eight-year contract covers the supply of spare parts, manpower for inspection of the turbines and the repair of their components.

“This is the second project undertaken by TNB Remaco for PGB, the first being the project management consultancy to PGB-Yayasan Sabah for the development of their 300MW power plant at Kimanis, Sabah,” TNB president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said during the contract signing between TNB Remaco, PGB and GE Energy Services Wednesday.

The contract will see TNB Remaco perform the maintenance work at both CUF until 2017, maximising local content in executing the scope of the contract.

In the meantime, repairs of the gas turbine component will be carried out at its repair centre in Klang, Selangor.

TNB said the contract requires TNB Remaco to complete a total of nine major overhauls and nine hot-gas path inspection of the turbines, which had been manufactured and supplied by GE Energy Services.

TNB Remaco will also receive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) support from GE via a contract with GE which will supply parts and provide services including technical advisory and training as well as maintenance of the nine turbine units.

At a press conference later, Che Khalib said TNB Remaco is expected to generate a turnover of between RM300-RM400 million for the financial year 2010 from RM200 million reported in 2009 with its capabilities to provide repair and maintenance services for power plants in Malaysia and overseas.

“This is our opportunity to have a home-grown repair centre,” he said, adding that the centre in Klang was set up two years ago with investment of RM30 million.

TNB Remaco is capable of providing services such as maintenance field services, repair and refurbishment, electrical/mechanical tests and diagnostics, O&M (operations and maintenance) services and project management consultancy.

Che Khalib said the company is eyeing more international markets such as Indonesia and Brunei after having clinched two projects from Pakistan worth US$126 million over a period of five years.

The company also provides its services to Myanmar and Syuaiba in Saudi Arabia.
