30 detik ke mars, akhirnya meluncurkan album baru bertajuk this is war, dibuka dengan video klipnya yang epik mengambil salah satu single mereka yaitu kings and queens, yup, entah kenapa ketika saya melihat video klip dari single andalan mereka ini yaitu kings and queens, serasa suasana musik musik angels & airwaves, tapi lebih nge-rock! itu saja, dan yang jelas suara jared leto lebih masuk dan lebih kuat dalam nada nada tinggi, ya itulah kelebihan dari 30 second to mars, vokalisnya bagus, bukan berarti AVA jelek ya, tapi saya sendiri sudah melihat beberapa live nya tidak semua lagu bisa dibawakan dengan prima oleh tom delonge, hehe, no offense tom, but jared is kick ass!

And I thought I was motivated.

Some serious Blink-182 fans are making a movie about the San Diego threesome’s early days, food from Sombrero not included.

Brandon Flores, a 24-year-old filmmaker from San Diego, and friends have began interviewing some of the band’s original followers in an effort to paint the most authentic picture of Mark, Tom and Travis. Flores told MTV he was first inspired by the “Lords of Dogtown” movie:

“I saw that movie and I thought, ‘The guys in Blink deserve a movie like that about them,’ ” Flores told MTV News. “They have an awesome life, and they’re one of my favorite bands. So the idea got in my head, and over the summer — right around the time of the Blink reunion tour — my friends and I started writing a script about their early days.”

He’s had some trouble getting the band and their music involved, but the show must go on.  Production for “Blink” is set to begin in April, and Flores has already started looking for actors to play each of the band members via Craigslist.

“I’m trying my best not to f— up history. We’ve been getting help from a lot of fans who were there at the beginning. We want to do this right.”

And who knows, maybe Flores’ Christmas wish of a Mark Hoppus cameo will come true after all, even if it’s not as himself:

“No, I didn’t know anything about the movie. I wonder how it pays?” Hoppus wrote in an e-mail. “Should I try out for the part of Tom?”

He’d have to work on his whiney “Miss You” vocal skills, but why not?

Os americanos do Blink 182 devem lançar um disco de inéditas em 2010, isso foi o que deu a entender o baixista e vocalista do trio, Mark Hoppus, em sua página no twitter.

Nesse fim de semana o baixista disse que a banda deve voltar aos estúdios em janeiro de 2010, depois de 6 anos sem lançar um álbum de inéditas. “Ouvindo demos. Devo produzir algumas coisas antes de entrar em estúdio com o Blink 182 em janeiro”, disse Hoppus.

Além de Hoppus, a banda é formada pelo guitarrista Tom DeLonge e pelo excelente baterista Travis Barker. O trio que no começo era só mais uma banda do new punk dos anos 90, com o tempo evoluíram e seus dois últimos álbuns são excelentes.

O Blink 182 ficou longe dos palcos por 4 anos, mas retornaram esse ano com uma turnê junto com o Fall Out Boy.

Spent the whole day with hndsmrndsm and Tom DeLonge of Blink 182, shooting the documentary that Haven and Matt are filming. I was part of the team today, helping shoot video and stills for the upcoming Blink 182 reunion. Here’s a sneak peak of whats to come for the film. The debut single from Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves proved that Tom had something left after the demise of Blink 182, something totally different.

Last night’s show was just wonderful. It was my first and hopefully NOT my last blink show. Between the shout outs to all the hot Atlanta girls (whaaaaat uup!) and Tom yelling “DON’T TALK TO ME” at Mark, it was pretty much what I expected. Although, there wasn’t a whole lot of witty banter between the guys. Talking about this after the show, the general consensus was that there isn’t a lot of time for chit-chat when you have so many songs to play that you know are fan favorites. “Give Me One Good Reason” was not one of them, but hey, I still had a great time.

Jerod was especially excited to hear “Man Overboard” live, and you know just about every single person at Lakewood went nuts for “All The Small Things” and “Rock Show”. I must say, Tom Delonge’s voice isn’t nearly as obnoxious live as I thought it would be. And Mark Hoppus’ is very smooth, even live. Wasn’t expecting that either.

And Travis Barker’s drum solos were phenomenal. I mean, I knew he was a great drummer, but wow. You have not lived until you’ve seen Travis Barker do drum solos while floating and swinging on a mini-stage. I was watching his movements periodically and every single move he made was completely rhythmic and on-beat.

Honestly, if you haven’t seen blink live, you’re really missing out. Even if you have to drive a few miles than you would like to see them, do it. It’s totally worth it.

P.S. Asher Roth isn’t that good. At all, really.

Just got back from the Blink reunion show… WOW, JUST WOW!! I had front row and it was simply breathtaking. I don’t even know how to explain it except that I will always remember it. Easily in my top 3 concerts of all time, if not my favorite! Thank you Mark Hoppus, Tom Delonge, and Travis Barker for always finding new ways to inspire me and change my life. Seeing you three up there that happy was something special.

So ladies (and gentlemen…because yes, in rare cases MEN GET BREAST CANCER TOO), please take care of yourselves. Check your boobies. You’ll be glad that you did. All over the country this month, there are different events going on in your major cities to raise awareness about Breast Cancer, to find a cure for it, to prevent it. This is something we can stop. Get informed. A good place to start is American Cancer Society or an organization that we’ve always been proud to support, KEEP A BREAST. They’re doing a tremendous amount of work in educating the public about Breast Cancer. You may have seen them at the Vans Warped Tour, Concerts, Art Shows….they do tons of events. One way that Keep A Breast raises money is by creating casts of women’s chests which are then painted by such amazing artists as Shephard Fairey, Aaron Kraten, Billy Barnett and others. These casts are often displayed in galleries or taken on tours with KAB and their events and auctioned off.

This band drifts into serious pop fluff territory now and then, but I’m a fan. In the video, I found his comments on his vision for the band pretty interesting. How do you create a really uplifting experience for people while keeping some edge?

However difficult that might be, I think DeLonge is succeeding. A few years ago, Angels & Airwaves played a date at 930. I could have bought some tickets but hesitated. I missed the boat – that action sold out.

Their new record, which Billboard hangs a “prog” label on, will apparently be out by the end of the year.
