Based on a book of the same name by John Lindqvist, but skillfully edited to exclude some of the more controversial themes, the story centers on the relationship between a 12-year-old boy, Oskar and Eli, a vampire child of considerable age. Set predominantly during the lengthy darkness of Sweden&#8217;s winter, the warmth of their friendship is contrasted against a series of murders perpetrated by Eli&#8217;s mentally-tormented human companion, who collects blood for her, leaving his victims hanging upside down. Despite the simplification of the plot for the film, the story is disturbing on a number of levels but remains one of the most intriguing and thoughtful vampire movies yet made (Klaus Ming November 2009).</p>

<p class="western" style="margin-bottom:0;text-indent:.75cm;text-align:justify;">Muito foi falado sobre a sensação sueca Deixa Ela Entrar, dirigido por Tomas Alfredson	a partir do livro de John Ajvide Lindqvist. Tido como um dos melhores filmes do ano, e um dos melhores filmes sobre vampiro de todos os tempos, o terror sueco choca por seu realismo, apesar do tema. Não se trata, então, de um filme de vampiros. Deixa Ela Entrar vai além e consegue ser um dos melhores retratos de um fenômeno que está se tornando morbidamente comum hoje em dia, o nascimento de um sociopata.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom:0;text-indent:.75cm;text-align:justify;">Frágil e inseguro, o jovem Oskar, de 12 anos, causa empatia imediata ao espectador por seu drama. Filho de pais separados, sem encontrar seu lugar em sua casa ou na escola, o menino sente-se sempre deslocado, o que facilita que seus colegas se aproveitem da situação. Alvo constante de bullying, Oskar está constantemente sozinho, com seus pensamentos, e só consegue se encontrar com a presença de sua nova vizinha, Eli. Saindo raramente de casa, também sem amigos, a menina se torna aquele complemento que faltava na vida de Oskar, apesar de ela ter algumas idiossincrasias que logo mostram que a garota não é tão frágil como ele.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom:0;text-indent:.75cm;text-align:justify;">Eli não tem 12 anos como ele, mas é uma eterna criança. Uma vampira que vive de cidade em cidade tentando se esconder enquanto se alimenta de vitimas de assassinatos cometidos por seu acompanhante, um suposto pai que é tratado quase como um escravo por ela. A garota logo percebe o sofrimento de Oskar e tenta criar nele uma coragem de colocar em ação seus pensamentos. Apesar de frágil, as constantes humilhações que o garoto sofre já surtem efeito em sua mente, que é cada vez mais sórdida. Aos poucos, a improvável amizade entre os dois faz com que ele comece a tomar coragem para mostrar quem é verdadeiramente.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom:0;text-indent:.75cm;text-align:justify;">O filme foi bastante comparado a outros longas de vampiros, sendo inclusive eleito o melhor filme do gênero desde Nosferatu, de 1922. Há outros gêneros no entanto, que Deixa Ela Entrar se encaixaria, conseguindo um resultado ainda melhor, como o de filmes que procuram explicar os constantes massacres em instituições, ou mesmo o de obras que tentam mostrar a origem de um assassino. Mesmo o tão comentado – e já quase esquecido – Elefante, de Gus Van Sant, é superado de forma brilhante pelo longa sueco.</p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom:0;text-indent:.75cm;text-align:justify;">Do meio para o fim do filme, um dialogo entre Eli e seu suposto pai deixam a pista para o espectador sobre o que está acontecendo de verdade ali. Mesmo não havendo qualquer fantasia desde o início da projeção – fora o detalhe de que vampiros, aparentemente, não existem –, aquele pequeno diálogo mostra que a realidade é ainda mais dura do que vimos até então. Não importa que sejam apenas duas crianças tentando encontrar seu lugar e sentindo o que presenciam em um mundo cruel. E até mesmo estas belas e frágeis crianças também fazem parte desta sórdida sociedade.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Há um bom tempo que a falta de <strong>criatividade </strong>impera no circuito de filmes de <strong>terror</strong>, principalmente se a assombração em questão tem <strong>dentes</strong> pontudos e é chegada num <strong>Iogurte</strong> de Morango. Já desconfiado fui ver o filme que pelo enredo prometia inovar o <strong>genêro</strong>, já que os protagonistas seriam adolescentes. O medo de ver um <strong>Crepúsculo</strong> na tela logo sumiu com <strong>Deixe Ela Entrar</strong> do sueco <strong>Tomas Alfredson</strong>. Para começar o que me agradou fora a utilização de poucos clichês, visto que filmes com vampiros sempre desenvolvem vários. Mortes e sangue são comuns e essenciais pois fazem parte da dieta da espécie em questão.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">O filme gira em torno de <strong>Oskar </strong>(Kåre Hedebrant), um garoto de 12 anos que sofre com o <strong>Bullying</strong> na escola onde estuda. O encontro com a nova vizinha <strong>Eli</strong> (Lina Leandersson), mudará o circulo de <strong>amizades</strong> do garoto, antes preso a uma <strong>faca</strong> com a qual ensaiava um possível revide. Alfredson desenvolve uma narrativa que primará pelos <strong>conflitos</strong> da fase adolescente tanto através de Oskar quanto de Eli, duas crianças rejeitadas, uma pelo grupo escolar e a outra por questões existenciais, já que a vampira é uma morta-viva, personagem que na teoria não existe ou deve no mínimo se esconder.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Oskar observa o <strong>comportamento</strong> estranho de Eli mas não a questiona, pois sabe que na aproximação com a garota poderá construir uma <strong>amizade </strong>ou até um <strong>sentimento</strong> maior. A <strong>carência</strong> de Oskar também é expressa por uma <strong>família</strong> destituida de interesse na sua figura. Ele mora com a <strong>mãe </strong>que aparece apenas quando precisa punir suas atitudes ou cuidar dos <strong>ferimentos</strong>. Já Eli tem a <strong>companhia</strong> de um senhor que ao fim chamará de <strong>pai</strong>, sujeito que tem o trabalho de  <strong>matar</strong> pessoas para colher <strong>sangue</strong> para a garota. Com a distância dos <strong>adultos</strong> tão forte, será a troca de <strong>experiências </strong>entre os dois adolescentes a parte mais interessante da obra.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">A <strong>trilha-sonora</strong> sutil conduzirá bem o filme dotado de um <strong>ritmo </strong>muito bom e que as vezes parece <strong>flanar</strong> frente aos olhos do espectador. Algumas cenas são um tanto <strong>bizarras</strong> como no primeiro <strong>beijo</strong> entre Oskar e Eli, momento em que ela desiste de resistir aos próprios sentimentos. Quanto mais a <strong>narrativa</strong> avança, os laços entre os dois personagens ficam mais fortes. Até o momento <strong>chave</strong> do filme, cena final em que Oskar é ameaçado pela turma que o persegue a ficar mais de 3 minutos sob a água da <strong>piscina</strong>. Enquanto a <strong>câmera</strong> permanece em Oskar o que temos é uma <strong>vingança</strong> sobre a água que anima até o mais <strong>frio </strong>dos espectadores suecos.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ao fim, parece que Deixe Ela Entrar consegue <strong>inovar</strong> um genêro tão mal-tratado ultimamente. O <strong>vampiro</strong> precisou <strong>renascer</strong> na figura de uma <strong>garota</strong>. Apesar de estar no segmento <strong>terror</strong>, o filme trata muito mais de dilemas de uma fase que por si só já é horrorosa &#8211; a adolescência.</p>

<p>Whenever it is announced that Nicole Kidman is going to be starring in something, I have to brace for all the negative comments that will be made on the comments section of any website that carries those news. Most of these comments will be Botox or facial expression related. Why the hate? Is it because of all the Botox she has put into her face? Or is it because of the career boost that her relationship with Tom Cruise gave her? I guess we’ll never know, but what I do know is that she is the best actress of her generation.</p>

<p>No other actress of her generation has worked with as many auteurs as she has. Stanley Kubrick (Eyes Wide Shut), Gus Van Sant (<em>To Die For</em>), Lars Von Trier (Dogville), Baz Luhrman (<em>Moulin Rouge!</em> and <em>Australia</em>), Oliver Hirschbiegel(The <em>Invasion</em>), Rob Marshall (<em>Nine</em>), George Miller (<em>Happy Feet</em>), Nora Ephron (<em>Bewitched</em>), Sydney Pollack (<em>The Interpreter</em>), Anthony Mighella (<em>Cold Mountain</em>), Stephen Daldry (<em>The Hours</em>), Alejandro Amenabar (<em>The Others</em>), Jane Campion ( <em>Portrait of a Lady</em>), Ron Howard (<em>Far and Away</em>), Joel Schumacher (<em>Batman Forever</em>), and Noah Baumbach (<em>Margot at the Wedding</em>) are some</p>

<p>of the directors she’s worked with. And she will soon be starring in movies directed by John Cameron Mitchell (<em>Rabbit Hole</em>) and Tomas Alfedson (<em>The Danish Girl</em>).</p>
<p>Yes, most people would say that those movies she starred in were the worst of their respective directors’ careers (especially Far and Away, The Invasion, and, some would say, Eyes Wide Shut), and I do hate some of them myself. However, are these failures her fault? Does her presence bring the quality of the movie down? In my opinion it is the fault of the writer, and sometimes the director, for not being able to bring quality material to the screen. In most of her movies she brings her A-game and sometimes turns into the only highlight of a piece of crap.</p>
<p>With that, now I’m going to analyze all the movies that I’ve seen of hers, as well as her performances. I have not seen them all, but with this you’ll see where I’m coming from about her being the best actress working today (after Meryl Streep, of course). I’ll list them and analyze them in alphabetical order, some of them I’ve not seen in a long time, but I’ll do it from memory.</p>
<p>-    <strong> Australia-</strong> The film is very flawed, but I love it. Here Kidman is great at giving<img class="alignright" title="Kidman 3" src="http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/Loose_Seal/nicole_kidman_-_moulin_rouge1.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="361" /> a performance similar to those in the classic epic romances. She doesn’t pretend it is any more than that.</p>
<p><strong>Batman Forever</strong>- One of the worst Batman movies, but she does what she has to do, and nothing more.</p>
<p><strong>Bewitched</strong>- The concept was ambitious but it didn’t work, and Kidman didn’t have much to do. This one was one of those instances where her performance was meh.</p>
<p><strong>Birth</strong>- The premise is somewhat ridiculous, but her performance, as well as good direction and a great score, makes this movie better than it should have been.</p>
<p><strong>Cold Mountain</strong>- Love it, the entire cast is amazing.</p>
<p><strong>Dogville</strong>- Her bravest performance yet.</p>
<p><strong>Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus</strong>- The movie would have been better had it been a straight biopic, but she is great as  Arbus.</p>
<p><strong>The Golden Compass</strong>- Had this movie been better and the follow-ups would have been made, she would have been to <em>His Dark Materials</em> what Ian McKellen was to <em>Lord of the Rings</em></p>
<p><strong>Happy Feet</strong>- Very little role, but she does what she has to</p>
<p><strong>The Hours</strong>- Crap film, good performance. She did not deserve to win the Oscar.</p>
<p><strong>The Interpreter</strong>- I doubt interpreters at the UN look like her, but she makes it work.</p>
<p><strong>Margot at the Wedding</strong>- Crap film, but she gives one of the best performances of it’s year.</p>
<p><strong>Moulin Rouge!</strong>- Her second-best performance and one of the top-10 performances of the decade in one of the top 10 movies of the decade</p>
<p><strong>To Die For</strong>- Her best performance and one of my favorite performances of all time.</p>
<p><strong>The Others</strong>- Her third-best performance. There was lots of room for her to chew scenery, but she avoided that.</p>
<p><strong>Practical Magic</strong>- It is mostly about Sandra Bullock, but I love her as the rebellious sister.</p>
<p><strong>The Stepford Wives</strong>- A guilty pleasure of mine. Not her best performance, but it adds to the camp of the whole movie.</p>

<p>So, yes, she does have a lot of failures, but not performance-wise. She is one of the few actresses who are willing to take risks. First off, any actress that works with Lars Von Trier is a brave actress in my book. He just put them through so many challenges that one can’t help but feel for them. In fact, I read that Von Trier offered her the female role in Antichrist but she turned it down (if you know anything about the movie then you can guess you why). Then there are movies like <em>Fur</em>, <em>Birth</em>, and <em>Margot at the Wedding</em> that would have never been made or would not have gotten any attention without her.</p>
<p>In the end, it is up to you to decide whether she is just a poster girl for the effects of Botox, someone who got lucky by marrying Tom Cruise, or just someone annoying. However, one can’t deny that she can sometimes be important to many movies, and she likes to take risks. For this reason, she is the best actress of her generation.</p>

<p>I was intending on re-watching Tomas Alfredson’s <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/">Let the Right One In</a> for my horror movie marathon, but I didn’t. I <a href="http://foolishblatherings.wordpress.com/2008/11/29/let-the-right-one-in/">reviewed this movie before</a>, but I did not give credit where credit was due to superior film that blows Twilight out of the water. Now, that the remake, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1228987/">Let Me In</a> is coming soon, I wanted to shower my praise on this film again.</p>
<p>John Ajvide Lindqvist adapted his book about a young twelve-year-old Swedish boy named Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant) who is constantly bullied at school. He dreams of the day that he could strike back.</p>
<p>One night, young girl, Eli (Lina Leandersson) moves into the apartment next door to his with an older man, Håkan (Per Ragnar). The new neighbors are not what they seem be. You notice that at night, Hákan has a kit containing a butcher knife, funnel, old gas can, flashlight, jar of acid and a gas tank, killing people in a quiet place and draining their blood. You think that he was a mass murder, but he has his reasons.</p>
<p>Every night, Oskar talks to Eli at the jungle gym in the courtyard of their apartment complex. The peculiar Eli who never wears a coat in the dead of winter intrigues Oskar. He tries to get to know her, but she doesn’t open up.</p>
<p>What Oskar doesn’t know is that when Eli is hungry, her next meal is Jocke (Mikael Rahm). The viewer knows that she is a vampire, but nobody else knows except for Gösta, (Karl-Robert Lindgren), a spinster cat man who watched what Eli did.</p>
<p>Eli and Hákan’s lives begin to unravel when Eli and Oskar’s friendship continues to grow. They rely on each other to each other every thing. Eli teaches Oskar to stand up for himself against the bullies. In turn, Oskar teaches Eli how to be the kid that she once was.</p>
<p>I watched this the same time as Twilight. This is the far superior vampire movie, because it doesn’t have shimmering shinned vamps that scare creepily at you. This movie has so many layers to it that you don’t realize upon a second viewing. The stark snow covered landscape painted with red, vamps actually drinking blood, the subtle nuances of the relationship between Oskar, Eli and Hákan.</p>
<p>The remake, Let Me In, is not going to have the dark humor, the sexual awakenings of pre-pubescent children, child-to-children violence, the obsession with knives, blood, and the revelation about Eli. It won’t fly. It would just a sterilized version that will cater to a mainstream audience.</p>
<p>Judgment: This is not your tween vampire story. This one is actually good.</p>

Ontem, começou a rodar no Novo México (?) o remake americano de <em>Deixa Ela Entrar</em>, excelente filme sueco de Tomas Alfredson. O diretor que esteve recentemente em São Paulo como convidado da Mostra se mostrou indiferente a essa onda de vampirismo hoje no mercado cinematográfico e afirmou que só voltaria a fazer um novo filme sobre o mesmo tema daqui há 20 anos.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Fato é que o filme dele fez sucesso e todo mundo adorou a estória de amizade entre a vampira adolescente com o menino isolado dos demais garotos. Agora, a estória muda de cenário. Se antes tínhamos neve densa e frio intenso, percebido aos bafos enfumaçados dos personagens, agora será a vez da areia quente da região desértica do sul dos Estados Unidos. Será que vai dar liga?</p>

A vampirinha será vivida por Cloe Moretz [500 Dias de Verão], Oskar, o menino será Kodi Smit-McPhee [The Road, filme que estreia em breve em que contracena com Viggo Mortensen] e o misterioso manipulador de sangue será Richard Jenkins  [indicação ao oscar de melhor ator coadjuvante em Os Visitantes]. Pelo jeito, teremos algum tempo ainda falando sobre vampiros. Paciência até lá!</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">O que faz um filme sueco, da temporada passada virar febre entre os cinéfilos blogueiros? A resposta é simples: <em>Deixa Ela Entrar</em> é simplesmente bom. E o que isso quer dizer? Quer dizer que <em>Deixe Ela Entrar </em>é bem dirigido, fotografia criativa ao privilegiar a claridade e o branco num filme que fala sobre vampiros, onde subentende-se que o tom deva ser mais sombrio e as atuações muito interessantes, principalmente das duas crianças que compõem a trama principal.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">O diretor Tomas Alfredson resgata mais uma vez a ideia do menino sozinho, que vive paralelo ao seu meio, com os amigos zombando com agressões moral e física. Oskar parece não se importar com nada, não acha graça nenhuma da vida, afinal nada de interessante lhe acontece. Até que em uma noite, em frente à sua casa, conhece Eli, a menina que vai transformar sua vida.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Eli é estranha. Tem profundas olheiras, anda na neve densa sem muita proteção contra o frio. Não quer papo com Oskar. Mas, a solidão parece ser o ponto comum. Não demora muito e logo uma afinidade surge entre os dois. Juntos, ambos se protegerão contra um mundo que parece hostil aos dois.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em>Deixa Ela Entrar</em> não precisou exibir sequer um dente canino avantajado para ser um dos melhores filmes sobre vampiros dessa nova onda que atualmente assola a produção audiovisual. Outra detalhe que chamou a atenção é as imagens que aparecem algumas vezes no filme do close na porta fechada, se abrindo, parece subliminar ao título do filme.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em>Deixa Ela Entrar</em> é mais uma grata surpresa nórdica deste ano (a outra é Anticristo) que simplesmente desconsiderei há um ano, quando vi seu cartaz na Mostra SP de Cinema de 2008, mas que agora devido a esse modismo todo em torno dos vampiros, ganhou força e fãs entre os cinéfilos. Eu sou um deles.</p>

<p>With all the vampire hullabaloo plaguing our society, it is my duty to tell you all about a vampire story sans body glitter.  <em>Let the Right One In </em>is a 2004 Swedish fiction novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist popularized by the release of the film adaption last year, directed by Tomas Alfredson. The novel and subsequent film were so well-received that an English adaption will be heading our way in 2010.</p>
<p>The story follows Oskar, a bullied Swedish boy, in Blackeberg, Sweden.  He meets and falls in love with a child vampire, Eli, who may or may not be behind several brutal murders in his suburb.  Sound familiar?  Well, don&#8217;t count on any <em>Twilight</em> references here.  Lindqvist, who also penned the screenplay for the widely critically acclaimed film, writes his vampires the traditional way: thirsty.  Read the novel, see the movie, and you will be too&#8230;for more.</p>

<p>Todas las metáforas posibles sobre el calor del afecto están contenidas en los gélidos encuadres de esta película. Aconsejo precaución, porque “Déjame entrar” puede abrir cierta cicatriz: la de la memoria panorámica de la infancia –habitualmente encerrada bajo llave-, quizás infectada por el recuerdo del matonismo escolar. Esta historia de amor íntimo y ensangrentado reinterpreta, en clave vampírica, el mito cristiano del ángel de la guarda. También te recuerda, como el niño que eres, que toda niña atesora bajo la falda el vértigo de un pubis, aunque esté muerta. Rara película, como narrada en susurros, “Déjame entrar” integra terror en miniatura y lirismo nórdico. Pocas veces la calidez de un abrazo ha reconfortado tanto, en un pantalla, como en la noche polar de este Estocolmo de bombillas desvaídas. Radical en su concepción de la justicia, el visionado de su subacuática escena final quizás restañe esa herida del fondo de tu pasado, como una catarsis o un acto psicomágico. </p>

<strong>Synopsis:</strong> a 12-year-old boy&#8217;s new friend is a vampire<br />
<strong>How I saw it:</strong> on video (rented from Netflix), yesterday<br />
<strong>Concept:</strong> Indifferent.  I can imagine the pitch for this film sounding like a Saturday morning spin-off of <em>Twilight</em>.<br />
<strong>Story:</strong> Good.<br />
<strong>Characters:</strong> Great.<br />
<strong>Dialog:</strong> Great.  And I watched the infamous Bad Subtitles version&#8230;<br />
<strong>Pacing:</strong> Indifferent.  Kind of slow.  Not quite boring, but long.<br />
<strong>Cinematography:</strong> Indifferent.  Most shots are out-of-focus close ups, which I guess creates a deliberate effect, but whatever.<br />
<strong>Special effects/design:</strong> Great.<br />
<strong>Acting:</strong> Great.  Not &#8220;great for a movie staring a couple of adolescents,&#8221; just great.<br />
<strong>Music:</strong> Indifferent.  Although, the sound effects are so good, you don&#8217;t need good music.<br />
<strong>Subjective Rating:</strong>7/10 (Good).  Immediately after watching it, I thought I&#8217;d give it 6/10.  But it&#8217;s the kind of movie that sinks into your brain and won&#8217;t leave you alone, and I find myself deciding between a 7 or an 8.<br />

Segundo o <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/" target="_blank">IMDB</a>, a produção já ganhou 56 prêmios e foi nomeada para outras 11 categorias.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Mesmo sendo um filme de baixo orçamento, feito em um país do norte da Europa de onde poucas produções ganham fama mundial, <em>Deixe ela Entrar</em> conquista pela sensibilidade. Mesmo sendo um filme de vampiros, tema muito em voga atualmente, é na sensibilidade humana que o diretor Tomas Alfredson se concentra, dando soluções estéticas simples ao roteiro, mas conduzindo a narrativa sem apelar para clichês, nem sustos fáceis.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"> Na história, Oskar é um frágil menino de 12 anos constantemente atormentado por colegas da escola. Ele é incapaz de revidar às provocações, embora treine cotra-ataques e respostas em seu quarto. Um dia, Oskar conhece sua nova e estranha vizinha, Eli, uma menina que também tem 12 anos. Logo ficamos sabendo que ela é a vampira da história. Daí pra frente, Oskar vai deixá-la entrar em sua vida sem ficar assombrado pelo ser sobrenatural que ela é. E, da mesma forma, Eli aprenderá com Oskar que por trás de toda a sua sobrehumanidade está uma garota que pode amar, pode se importar ao mesmo tempo em que é, por natureza, uma assissna fria.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Drömmen om Herrön]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Kulturkommittén var representerad på Dramaten en regnig lördagkväll i oktober, för att se Killinggängets pjäs Drömmen om Herrön. Representanten på plats, som sedan länge varit ett riktigt Killinggängetfan, hade som vanligt höga förväntningar. Utan att ha läst en enda recension såg R. denna pjäs och kan såhär efteråt sammanfatta den med ett &#8220;va?&#8221;.</p>
<p>Vad var det här?</p>

<p>Tomas Alfredson, vår favvis, har inte lyckats med den här föreställningen. Eller var det Killinggängets konstverk i sig som var så otroligt svårt att göra nåt av?</p>
<p>Det är rörigt, redan från början och genom hela pjäsen. Man känner sig som en pensionär för att man knappt hör vad de säger på scenen, det sluddras ganska ordentligt. Robert Gustafsson, Henrik Schyffert, Johan Rheborg, Martin Luuk och Andres Lokko spelar någon slags karikatyrer av sig själva, ibland i otroligt omotiverat obegripliga kostymer (Erika Magnusson) och ibland bara i genomskinligt tråkiga gestalter.</p>
<p>Temat; de får tillsammans uppdraget att bygga upp ett helt eget nöjesfält och vi får följa gänget under arbetet. Eller <em>var </em>det det här som var huvudtemat? Eller var det killinggänget som var temat? Eller? Vad?</p>
<p>Man förstår ingenting. Inget hör ihop. Det här är i flummigaste laget. Inte<em> bra</em> flummigt, bara <em>tråkigt</em> flummigt.</p>
<p>Robert Gustafsson kommer inåkande på rullskridskor eller drar sig fram på mage, på en skatebordliknande träskiva. Han har lösmustascher, lösnäsa och 1700-tals peruk. Och man skrattar, för det är ju&#8230; kul. (?)</p>
<p>Det finns bra delar, små ögonblick av guldkorn. Johan Rheborgs insats är utan tvekan bäst, han är riktigt bra i perioder. Trovärdig och spännande. Robert Gustafsson blir också spännande i det korta ögonblicket då han klär av sig alla komiska attribut och för ett ögonblick verkar utlämnad och allvarlig. Ett par korta fraser av allvar ut mot publiken, vi får se den klassiska &#8220;ledsna clownen&#8221; som alltid känns stark, men bara en kort stund. Sen går allt tillbaka till det obergripligt flummiga och olidligt tråkiga.</p>
<p>Även om förväntningarna var höga väntade Representanten sig varken något skitkul eller fantastiskt. Men i alla fall något välgjort, som höll ihop. Nej&#8230; i pausen var R. nära att gå, men kunde inte förmå sig. För det handlade ju trots allt om Killingänget. Och man älskar ju Killinggänget. Eller hur?</p>
<p>Och det är väl här problemet ligger; man älskar ju alltid Killinggänget. Därför kan de göra i princip vad som helst av sin tid i strålkastarljuset. Killinggänget har råd att vara obegripliga, för folk kommer att komma ändå. De får va tråkiga, flummiga, orepeterade &#8211; publiken sitter i bänkarna likt förbannat. De har varit älskade så länge och man respekterar dem vad de än gör, särskilt om de gör det på Dramatens scen&#8230;</p>
<p>När pjäsen var slut applåderade Representanten högt och länge, inte för pjäsen, utan för Killinggänget. Det är de värda grabbarna.</p>
<p>Men hade en gymnasieklass satt upp den här föreställningen som slutprojekt, hade man inte tvekat med att säga &#8220;Herregud vad flummigt. Det var helt obegripligt! Jag förstod inte vad pjäsen gick ut på!?&#8221; osv.&#8217;</p>
<p>Men med Robert Gustafsson på scen är allt förlåtet. Nästan. Publiken som strömmade ut ur salongen såg alla besvikna ut. Dramatens guld och takmålningar kan faktiskt inte rädda en opassionerad och seg pjäs och Killinggänget kan även de vara olidligt tråkiga. Det kanske de måste bli medvetna om.</p>

<description><![CDATA[I have no right reviewing a vampire film. And, no, I don&#8217;t think seeing Twilight increases my ]]></description>

And, no, I don&#8217;t think seeing <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1099212/" target="_blank">Twilight</a> increases my credibility within this particular genre. Still, in an attempt to broaden my cinematic palate, I undertook a viewing of <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/" target="_blank">Let the Right One In</a>; the result: a slight positive tingling in the taste buds. In spite of its laboriously slow pace, I found the film absolutely fascinating. The use of darkness and light, while likely not new for a vampire film, struck me as being both beautiful and horrific. The breathtaking cinematography, while not uncommon for a Swedish film, took on a whole new power for me here when deep red blood struck the brilliant white snow.</p>
<p>Beyond the film&#8217;s mesmerizing visuals, the thing that kept me chomping away at the neck of this story was the emphatic and genuine performances from the movie&#8217;s young leads &#8212; <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2968765/" target="_blank">Kare Hedebrant</a> as Oskar and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2968351/" target="_blank">Lina Leandersson</a> as Eli. Both appear as actors for the first time here and their purity and innocence works marvels in contrast with the dark acts they undertake in pursuit of companionship.</p>
<p>In the DVD extras, director <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0019247/" target="_blank">Tomas Alfredson</a> notes that his film could be interpreted as having either an encouraging or discouraging ending depending on what the viewer believes will become of the future relationship between the protagonists. With my happy-ending mentality, it won&#8217;t come as a surprise that I found the film somewhat uplifting in spite of the gore and horror I struggled to stomach throughout. I&#8217;m glad I let this film in, even if I think it too gruesome to recommend to most. If you love small stories or are weary of the same-ole, same-ole in your cinematic diet, you might also do well to bite into this vampire tale. </span></p>

<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>En pleno auge de las películas de vampiros, donde se les ha dotado de un aspecto más que atractivo para ese conjunto consumidor voraz que es la juventud llega todo tipo de producciones llevadas en muchos casos por la moda reinante. Los vampiros han dejado de ser unos seres solitarios y peligrosos en las noches, ahora visten con modelo sacados de cualquier linea de moda con nombre pomposo que pronto es copiados por los top manta de la vestimentas a la última.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>En este caso entramos en el mundo casi infantil, problemas de adolescente que viven o malviven con problemas de adaptación en esos antros para formar delincuentes que se han convertido los institutos de los tiempos actuales. Jóvenes que vagan por pasillos, aulas y clases que no les son atractivas pero que buscan algo&#8230;. algo que quizás se haya perdido como es la amistad plena y dura. El caso del niño &#8211; joven que se ve acosado por compañeros de clase que aprovechando su condición débil y acomplejada descargan sobre el su furia de animales, de animales peligrosos como pueden ser los humanos sin leyes que limiten sus actos y que les diga que la edad no es motivo para considerarles como asesinos en potencia&#8230; así es nuestro mundo y así es el mundo del protagonista de la película que se adivina nórdica por su presentación y por sus actores. </strong></p>

<strong>Vemos quizás con más curiosidad por el qué pasará que por la calidad del film en cuestión, y poco a poco se nos va comiendo la atención sobretodo por el oscuro mirar de la chica que siempre aparece por la noche, en medio de la nieve, sin frío ni color y que se hace con la amistad de este chico hasta el punto de convertirle en un héroe valentón ante el acoso diario de los matones de siempre. La chica saca a la luz esa furia que todos llevamos dentro y que hay que libertar en determinados momentos para decir basta ya¡ a situaciones extremas.</strong><strong>El favor de la extraña chica engrandece la amistad del chico, y poco a poco se va metiendo en el mundo oscuro en la que se mueve ella impresionándose con la forma de alimentarse que tiene este ser etéreo que vaga en la noche; la imagen de la chica chupando la sangre caída sobre la nieve, hace que el chico saque sus conclusiones, terribles conclusiones que acepta porque la amistad es considerada primer positivo para su hermanamiento. </strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Pero siempre hay un pero en cualquier relación: esta amistad por parte del chico limpia y bella viene acompañada del hecho de convertirse en siervo de las ansias sangrientas de la chica que una vez que pierde al mortal que trae las víctimas para alimentación de su ama; le convierte en su más acérrimo ayudante y cómplice.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>El ambiente creado con el frío y la nieve se nos hace novedoso en este tipo de películas pues antes creíamos que la nieve y el agua eran enemigos mortales para el vampiro; aquí se convierte en su decorado habitual y le da ese gris tan monótono a la fotografía. La presentación nos hace sospechar su procedencia nórdica que aún conserva la costumbre de comenzar con todo el dossier artístico y técnico de la película. Los actores desconocidos aquí se muestran tal como conocemos a estos habitantes del norte: serios, poco impresionables y poco dados a las expresiones corporales. La dirección se hace correcta para este cinta singular que todavía no hemos sabido adjetivar. </strong></p>

<p><span style="color:#888888;">Estava navegando no site da Fábrica de Quadrinhos (www.fabricadequadrinhos.com.br) quando avistei uma notícia sobre &#8220;Let The Right One In&#8221; (título em inglês) e decidi averiguar. Não lembro muito bem o que estava escrito na matéria (mesmo porque faz tempo muito tempo que eu li), mas lembro que era coisa boa. O que resgato na memória é que a matéria dizia sobre um filme de vampiro um tanto quanto peculiar e muito bem feito. Tanto me interessei que adquirí o filme assim que possível.<br />

<h3><span style="color:#ff9900;">Descobrindo que o filme era bom…</span></h3>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">Esqueça Blade (cruzes), Buffy (aff) e Crepúsculo (pare o trem que eu quero descer). Este filme é bem mais profundo, tenso e misterioso do que um par de botas de couro e uma pose de assassino-justiceiro-salvador-do-mundo.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">Oskar (interpretado por<span style="color:#888888;"> </span></span><span style="color:#888888;">Kåre Hedebrant &#8211; o filme é sueco, não se assustem com os nomes de Vikings) é um garoto jovem de 12 anos, franzino e daqueles que tomam tapa na boca e soco na testa dos garotos mais velhos. Oskar está lá, vivendo na sua cidadezinh<span style="color:#888888;">a pacata, gostosa de passear a noite e comer um pastelzinho</span></span><span style="color:#888888;"> de queijo (não que ele faça isso. <span style="color:#888888;">Eu faria) até que percebe que ganha novos vizinhos &#8211; Ebaaaaa :] &#8211; uma vampira que gosta de beber o sangue das pessoas &#8211; Ahhh :[ . Mas não se preocupem, ele acaba tendo uma quedinha por ela, e acho que vampiros não mastigam quem tem quedinha por eles.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">Oskar então ganha uma nova amiguinha (a vampira Eli interpretada por Lina Leandersson</span><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">) que </span></span><span style="color:#888888;">também </span><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">si</span>mpatiza por ele  (o que é bom hoje em dia, não? Ter um aliado vampiro). Es<span style="color:#888888;">sa amiga vem acompanhada de um senhor misterioso chama<span style="color:#888888;">do </span></span></span><span style="color:#888888;">Håkan </span><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">(per</span>sonagem de suma importância na película interpretado por Per Ragnar) </span><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">extre</span>mamente devotado à garota.<br />

<p><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">A partir do momento que esta dupla (Eli <span style="color:#888888;">e </span></span></span><span style="color:#888888;">Håkan</span><span style="color:#888888;"><span style="color:#888888;">) está na cidade, coisas estranhas começam a acontecer. Corpos desaparecend</span>o, gente morrendo, sangue na calçada (acontecimentos comuns na Zona Leste de São Paulo, mas não na Suécia, né?) e aí meu <span style="color:#888888;">nego. </span></span><span style="color:#888888;">Pernas, pra que te quero!</span><strong> </strong></p>

Esse filme é muito bom para quem gosta de histórias de vampiros, porém, sem aquela pataquada de caçadores com alho-poró, estaca de madeira e muito menos caixões. A história entre os protagonistas Oskar e Eli é bonita e ingênua ao passo de que Eli é um monstro sugador de sangue com a frieza de quem está na terra há muitos e muitos anos.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#888888;">» A interpretação da atriz Lina Leandersson, um rostinho simpático com um demônio dentro de si. Eu gostei</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#888888;">» O roteiro foi muito bem escrito, a criação da tensão no filme culminando no final que o faz refletir (nada sobre a vida, e sim, sobre o que você acompanhou no filme até então) fazem eu dizer &#8220;Que bom que eu vi&#8221; quando os créditos estão passando diante dos meus olhos e minha mente trabalha em digerir o que assisti e juntar as peças que o final do filme joga na minha carinha de réles mortal.<br />

<p>Let the Right One In, or Låt den rätte komma in, is a film directed by Tomas Alfredson (Four Shades of Brown). The story is based on a novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also penned the screenplay. It is about an unpleasant and tender, but relatable twelve year old boy named Oskar. It deals with his many problems; from his careless and divorced parents who neglect him, to his classmates who mentally and physically abuse him. Oskar has angry tendencies but you can hardly blame the poor guy. As the film unfolds Oskar finds some light in the dark cold nights of Stockholm. He forges a profound bond with a lonely and disheveled girl around the same age as he is. Her name is Eli and she is a vampire.</p>

<p>This is not your normal horror movie fare, nor is it in any way reminiscent of mainstream vampire fiction that I can think of. It is after all, first and foremost, a romance story and because of that the moments of horror were only in the back of my mind, and they work far more convincingly than I expected. Continuity is also rare in horror films and the consistency of the characters and the performances of the actors who played them only worked to enhance the film overall.</p>
<p>An aspect of Let the Right One In that seemed exceptional to me can only be explained by mentioning a scene. As retributive as it may sound, some of Oskar&#8217;s bullies get their due in brutal yet satisfying fashion. The scene is incredibly violent and is done underwater, but within the context of Oskar and Eli as characters, and at that point in their relationship, the scene works to be equally as beautiful as it is horrifying. In the end I pity Oskar, but at the same time I&#8217;m not sure he has known any relationship better than one with Eli, and he probably never will. There is a bittersweet feeling throughout. I can&#8217;t think of any film that brings a sense of romance to such extreme horror but this one pulls it off quite nicely and with little direct effort.</p>

<p>There has been talk about an Americanized remake of this movie but it will actually be another interpretation of the novel so I expect something dramatically different. Let the Right One In left an impression on me that no horror film has since perhaps The Exorcist and it is probably, along with Hertzog&#8217;s Nosferatu: Phantom Der Nacht, the most compelling portrayal of the vampire myth that I&#8217;ve ever seen in film. This is an amazing movie and I cannot recommend it highly enough.</p>
<p>My rating is 5 out of 5 stars.</p>

<p>Vampires are attacking from all directions! Or should I say all mediums. We have adult vampires on TV in <em>True Blood</em>, teen vampires in print and on the big screen in <em>Twilight</em>, and now we have child vampires in Tomas Alfredson’s film <em>Let The Right One In</em>. There’s a vampire out there for everyone! And believe it or not, an American remake of <em>Let The Right One</em> is already in the works. I imagine it got green-lit before anyone even saw this film. The studio execs must have heard it had vampires and signed it off immediately. I wonder if I pitched a film about vampires in a retirement village would it get picked up by the Weinsteins?</p>
<p><em>Let The Right One</em> <em>In</em> is a Swedish romance-horror-drama adapted from the book <em>Let Me In</em> by author John Ajvide Lindqvist. It tells the story of Oskar, an only child raised by a single mother who is bullied at school. Its not surprising he finds it hard to relate to other kids as his interests include keeping a scrap-book of newspaper articles about muders and massacres, and doing Travis Bickle impressions to trees. Oskar does find a friend in Eli, a strange young girl who has just moved next door and the film revolves around their deepening relationship.</p>
<p>This film is riding a huge wave of critical acclaim. Granted, it is a well-conceived hybrid of genre and art film, which will no doubt appeal to both audiences. However, I felt sometimes Alfredson failed in maintaining a consistent tone, at one minute the film resembled Kieslowski, the next Guillermo del Toro. I also had beef with the intrusive score, particularly when it overwhelmed the more suspenseful scenes. These scenes worked better when utilising silence and evocative sound design as displayed in the two best scenes, a hospital farewell and the brilliantly choreographed climax.</p>
<p>Maybe it is because of the hype but I can’t say this film particularly overwhelmed me. I do however see its appeal as an accessible foreign language film that will impress a lot of people, in the way the likes of <em>Pans Labyrinth</em> did. The kids do a great job, particularly Lina Leandersson as Eli, her weary eyes giving her the appearance of having knowledge beyond her years. If you are a vampire fan I recommend it, it certainly gets marks for originality within a genre that is slowly exhausting itself.<span id="_marker"> </span></p>
