Frame is comprehensive in laying out the foundation for how we know God and how we live in light of the Scriptures.

2.  Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem [y, l, e, p, s]

A highly readable systematic theology.

3.  Reformed Dogmatics vols. 1-4 by Herman Bavinck [p, s]

A solid Dutch Reformed work, translated well in English.  It is a pretty technical read but worth the effort.

4.  Institutes of Christian Religion (2 vol.) by John Calvin  [e, p, s]

Calvin’s classic, need I say more?

5.  Systematic Theology by Louis Berkhof  [e, p, s]

Fairly readable and thorough systematic.

6.  Salvation Belongs to the Lord by John Frame  [y, l, e, p, s]

This is Frame’s mini-systematic, a good first systematic.

7.  Institutes of Elenctic Theology by Francis Turretin [p, s]

Want to read the text that John Calvin’s seminary used?  Charles Hodge/Old Princeton also used this text.

8.  The Christian’s Reasonable Service (4 Vol) by Wilhelmus A Brakel  [l, e, p, s]

Thanks to Reformation Heritage Books you can now actually find these books in the same place.  He was a Dutch Pastor who wrote this 4 volume systematic theology for the people in his church.

9.  A New Systematic Theology Of The Christian Faith by Robert Reymond [e, p, s]

Reymond has written a sound Presbyterian systematic theology.

10. Christian Beliefs by Wayne and Elliot Grudem [c, y, l, e, p, s]

This book is a heavily condensed version of #2 on this list.  I included Christian Beliefs because the text is understandable to all people of all ages.  I think it is important to have at least one book that covers all ages.

You may have noticed that I have a dumb little side-blog over on Tumblr, called Film Noir Tagline. Much of the time, it’s just pictures of pretty girls in pretty outfits, but I throw in some design porn, music, and assorted Internet ephemera I find funny or inspiring.

Much like my Twitter account, this whole Tumblr thing is taking its time to evolve. I promise you don’t want to see what I posted to Twitter before I started using it for wisecracks, puns and dick jokes. At the same time, I’m sure the current state of Film Noir Tagline will seem shabby to me once it finally decides what it wants to be when it grows up.

For now, though, I’m going to use it as another excuse to continue looking back on 2009. We’ll laugh, we’ll love, we’ll cry and maybe we’ll even learn something. Here are the 10 most liked/reblogged bits from my Tumblr this year:

#10: “At The Tweetup”

This was a recounting of a befuddling conversation I had with an otherwise very lovely search-engine marketing expert. She changed the subject to cheese shortly afterward, and everything was fine. I may respond to anything marketing-related with a vacant, watery stare, but goddamn, I love cheese.

#9: “Single Ladies Dance to MC Frontalot“

My pal MC Frontalot wrote a clever rap called Tongue-Clucking Grammarian, about punctuation, onomatopoeia, and other topics dear to my heart. Someone mashed it up with Beyonce’s Fosse-lized dance routine from Single Ladies to create what Kanye West would surely agree is one of the best videos of all time. Of all time.

#8: “His Heart Couldn’t Beat It“

This was either very timely or way too soon, depending on your perspective. Shortly after Michael Jackson’s death, I spotted this winning combination of horrifying pun and CSI-intro-meme. Looks like his heart … couldn’t Beat It.

#7: “Geek“

My friend Sean Bonner created this image as a commentary on the rise of geek as the new cool. I figured it worked pretty well as a meta-commentary (ick, I know!) on Tumblr in general: lots of Internet fame, not so much actual geekery.

Sam Falls has created the kind of piece that’s so perfectly cheeky, you want to slap yourself for failing to think of it first. “Fuck it, let’s party” seems to have tapped into the collective id of the Tumblr crowd, and  this work of Sartre got reblogged around the world and back.

Já que eu perco um montante razoável do meu tempo conjecturando sobre coisas inúteis das quais eu não entendo quase nada, por que então não escrever sobre elas, não? Estávamos eu e meus amigos em casa, durante horas, madrugada adentro, passando meu cover flow do iTunes – fantástico esse recurso + note o programa do sábado a noite -  e como nós desse blog, já que o mundo não é competitivo o bastante, temos um tesão especial em ranquear coisas, resolvi partilhar com o mundo meu ranking pessoal sobre capas de álbuns – e por álbuns, minha gente [informem-se] eu não quero dizer coletâneas.

Depois da série “capas”, virá o ranking “Grandes Álbuns, capas de merda”. Sugiram! É sempre revigorante chutar cachorro morto.

10 – Nevermind, Nirvana

Nivarna é uma crise. Era uma paixão pré-adolescente e depois eu reneguei com tarja de baboseira grunge dos anos noventa. Mas sabe que revisto agora depois de véia é meio bom e meio legal? Agora, independente da relação mal resolvida com Kurt Cobain essa capa é bem loka e fez uma geração.

09 -  Fragile, Yes

O artista plástico e designer inglês Roger Dean desenhou praticamente todas as capas da banda, e além de elas serem animais, têm muito a ver com a estética musical da banda. Mesmo para quem não gosta de “Yes”, sim, eu sei que sou uma das três pessoas do Brasil com menos de cinquenta anos que gosta (dois, onde estão vocês?) e menos ainda dessa onda progressiva-psicodélica-todahippie – credo, isso nem eu – consegue apreciar esse globinho peculiar que é a capa do “Fragile”, que gostem ou não, também é um belo disco virtuose com músicas como “the clap” e “roudabout”.

08- Never mind the Bollocks, Sex Pistols

Sex Pistols era praticamente uma boy band, fez um disco e desapareceu; e sabe o quê, eu nem gosto da banda. Mas os caras, como toda boa boy band, eram bons de marketing: as cores vivas e esse rosa com o nome da banda meio jogado de lado traduzem bem o rudimentar impactante do punk rock com toda uma identidade estética e, por outro lado, um despojamento.

07- Let it Bleed, Rolling Stones

Como quase todas as boas capas temos por trás bandas muito conscientes do que representam para seu público. Além do título do disco ser uma provocação ao álbum dos Beatles que todos sabiam que seria lançado em breve com o título “Let it Be” – ou seja, enquanto os Beatles e John Lennon diziam, “deixe ser” e falavam de Mother Mary os Rolling Stones diziam, “deixe que ferva!” -  a capa é metalinguística com o próprio disco nela dentro desse bolo de coisas que são os Rolling Stones. Esse é meu disco preferido deles. Ainda assim, o “Let it Be” dá um pau.

06  – Comin’ on, Chet Baker

Fala sério, essa capa é muito bonitinha. Bela escolha de cores. Fiz até uma camiseta de presente com ela estampada pro meu amigo Kim, acho que ele gostou (será, Kinzão?).

05 – Hot Butterd Soul, Isaac Hayes

Pele, pele, pele. Pele de negão. Essa é uma capa cheia de sensualidade do nosso Faraó do soul, que além de ser o primeiro negro a ganhar um Oscar em 1971 de melhor música para o filme “Shaft”, dublava (R.I.P) o Chef do South Park.

04 – Love Supreme, John Coltrane

A foto é tão enigmática quanto o disco, e o grafismo em diagonal ascendente só dão a pincelada final de uma capa econômica e cheia de densidade. Mesmo pra quem não curte essa parada espiriual – onda em que entrou John Coltrane, transformou em linguagem nesse disco e criou até um secto de seguidores que inventou uma religião em seu nome  (tem doido pra tudo) – ascende com o je ne sais quoi desse disco tão intenso .  Fora a capa, é o meu disco preferido de todos os tempos.

03 – Verde que te rosa, Cartola

Meu, o que rola com esse nariz torrado?

Vamos combinar que os sambistas não são muito lá bons de capas – e por não muito bons eu quero dizer que são todas horrorosas – muito por que lá na favela não deve rolar um escambo de “in design”. Mas o Cartola se saiu mais do que bem nessa capinha singela que contempla muito bem sua personalidade.

02 -  London Calling, The clash

Essa capa é perfeita. As linhas, a luz da foto, as cores das letras, a mis-en-scène. Se eu entendesse alguma coisa de pintura falaria de ponto de fuga e dessas merdas mas como estou me arriscando a falar somente sobre coisas das quais não sei quase nada, vou apenas dizer que tô piradona nessa capa.

Ai, gozei.

01 - Hub-Tones, Freddie Hubbard

Bom, todos conhecem as capas da Blue note e devem imaginar que foi sofrido escolher apenas uma delas para essa listinha tão controversa.

Agora, essa capa é completa.

Em 1956 a Blue note contratou um artista gráfico chamado Reid Miles para fazer suas capas. A gravadora na época tinha pouquíssimos recursos e, portanto, podia-se usar apenas três cores na impressão das capas. Miles tinha em mãos três cores e um talentoso fotógrafo chamado Francis Wolff. Da falta de recursos o designer criou uma estética de fotos preto e brancas tingidas de uma cor e faixas em cima ou em baixo com o nome do disco e muitas vezes das músicas, quase sempre com a mesma tipografia. É uma mais fudida do que a outra. De tão boas, a TASCHEN lançou até ums compilação que está pra lá da minha alçada, mas que você pode encontrar em cima da mesa da sala de estar dos pais dos meus amigos da Zona Oeste e aproveitar e comer um canapé de tiras de pato selvagem com bolinho doce de tapioca frita.

Disvirtuei.

Sobre a capa: note que o nome do disco é “hub-tones” e que suas faixas pretas além de lembrarem os pistões do trompete de Freddie, remetem também à idéia de intervalo musical. A foto preto e branca tingida  de vermelho  está no pistão apertado. A grafia das letras também é mais do que acertada.

With Thanksgiving upon us, there is a short lull in mixed martial arts action that gives the opportunity to visit the top 10 pound-for-pound list. Here’s how it breaks down from 10-6. . . .

10. Thiago “Pitbull” Alves

Before Thiago Alves got his title shot against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 100, he was coming off 7 consecutive victories – his last three over contenders Karo Parisyan, Matt Hughes, and Josh Koscheck. Alves is one of the biggest and strongest welterweights in the division. He is known primarily as a striker, and his ground game was considered a weakness before he demonstrated outstanding takedown defense against both Hughes and Koscheck, both former Division I All-American wrestlers. At UFC 100, Alves was able to compete with St-Pierre for all 5 rounds before losing a unanimous decision. Alves has a loss to Jon Fitch, who did not make the cut, but that loss came over 3 years ago, and Alves has improved his game at a faster pace than Fitch since then. Thiago Alves is the #10 mixed martial artist in the world pound-for-pound.

9. Nick Diaz

Nick Diaz might be the most technically sound fighter in mixed martial arts.  Diaz has won his last five fights impressively – stopping all 5 opponents.  Diaz is a Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt, under Cesar Gracie, and Nick Diaz has outstanding boxing skills; he has been training under former world boxing champion Luisito Espinosa.  Diaz has been competing outside of the UFC since November of 2006.  There seems to be a personal conflict between Diaz and those in power in the UFC, but in time, maybe MMA fans will get to see a matchup between UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz. Nick Diaz is the #9 mixed martial artist in the world pound-for-pound.

8. Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida (UFC Light Heavyweight Champion)

Lyoto Machida is the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion and would be higher on the list, but in the fight business you are only as good as your last fight. Machida was given the decision against Shogun in his last fight, but Shogun controlled that fight. Before his fight with Shogun though, Lyoto Machida was undefeated (15-0) with quality wins over Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans in his previous two fights. Machida’s karate style seemed to be a puzzle that could not be solved. Every fighter who came against Machida was walking directly into a buzz saw. With a convincing win over Shogun in their rematch in May of 2010, Machida could leap directly back into the top 5. Lyoto Machida is the #8 mixed martial artist in the world pound-for-pound.

7. Brian Bowles (WEC Bantamweight Champion)

Brian Bowles is the reigning WEC Bantamweight Champion. Bowles is undefeated (8-0), and his last win came against Miguel Torres at WEC 42. Bowles stopped Torres, and took his title, with a first round knockout. Although Bowles is only 8 fights into his professional mixed martial arts career, the first round knockout of Miguel Torres propels him onto this list. He is the undefeated WEC Bantamweight Champion, and until someone proves otherwise, Bowles is the #7 mixed martial artist in the world pound-for-pound.

6. Brock Lesnar (UFC Heavyweight Champion)

Mixed martial arts had never before seen anyone like Brock Lesnar. He is an athletic 6′3” and 280 lbs (has to sweat down to make the UFC’s 265 lb heavyweight limit). Lesnar was the 2000 NCAA Division I National Champion in wrestling, and those skills have begun to translate to mixed martial arts in a way that has have become scary to the rest of the UFC’s heavyweight division. Lesnar’s dominating performance at UFC 100 over Frank Mir has quickly become a thing of legend. Frank Mir is a big, strong heavyweight, who is skillful on the ground, and Lesnar was able to take him down and force him into a completely helpless position before landing devastating punches over and over again. Lesnar currently has a serious illness that has rendered him unable to defend his UFC heavyweight title. Until an official announcement that Lesnar will no longer be able to compete, he will remain on this list. Brock Lesnar is the #6 mixed martial artist in the world pound-for-pound.

Christmas is coming up fast!  Books are a beautiful thing because they have the power to edify the soul, sharpen the mind, and stir the affections of the heart.  The next few weeks, I will post my personal top 5/10 lists of Christian books organized by topic.  If there is a particular topic or sub-genre you would like me to list, then post it in the comments section.

Well it’s been a long time hasn’t it? Anyway, seems like today’s my blogging day as well. Since we’re talking about time, I’d better get straight onto topic. Whatever Anime is gonna have reviews about the past anime year and we’ll start today for the sake of the calendar!

That being said. The first 2009 review post is about … Openings.

A lot of series have played in front of my eyes and ofcourse every series needs a good opening to have an impact on the viewer. Some were good, some were even better! All the writers(or as many as possible) will give their top 10 (or 5) of the year. Since our blog team exists out of a lot of members now, the post will be edited so keep track of it.

Now before I start, I want to say that music preference is a personal thing. However, I’m not only discussing music here, I’m keeping an eye on animation and ofcourse the series itself. Every person has his/her own preference and respecting those will make you earn the same respect for your preference.

To keep us from misunderstandings, we include the 2008 winter season as 2009 this means we’ll be talking about these series :

10. Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei : Ringo Mogire Beam! – Kenji Ootsuki

You like Shaft or you hate Shaft, it’s the same with this opening. You love this opening or you hate it. I personally like the song more than the opening itself. It’s a joy to hear Ootsuki scream his “pasword” out loud.

About the third season itself, I was drawn into it once again. It’s fun to watch, though most of the time I don’t understand what they’re talking about. I guess some of you might know what I’m talking about. Still, I like the references and the characters and I hope they’ll continue animating this further.

9. Seitokai no Ichizon : Treasure – Hekiyou Gakuen Seitokai

The first fall series in my top, but not the last one. I know it’s because they’re new and still sounding so fresh, but this song will stick in my list for a long time. Not only because of the song, but because I’ve grown to like this series so much that I can’t get enough of it. The animation itself is topnotch and I like how they give every girl a season (which you can see in the very first seconds of the opening).

I don’t think I really have to discuss the season, just click on Seitokai no Ichizon on the right.

8. Kimi ni Todoke : Kimi ni Todoke – Tanizawa Tomofumi

Whoopsie, here’s the second fall song already! I can’t help it but this song has a really feel-good feeling to it and Sawako’s just too cute to ignore anyway. The animation is really good here. The watercolors and the colorful backgrounds really made me like this series, then I haven’t even started about the story. Anyway this one deserves to be at 8, believe it!

7. Bakemonogatari : Staple Stable – Saitou Chiwa

Preformed by miss Senjougahara herself. The opening itself isn’t that special, but the series really pushed high onto spot 7. There were several openings for Bakemonogatari so it was kinda hard to get used to it. Still this one is my favorite of them all since this song really gives a “face” to the series. I should also mention that Shaft is behind this series again. They like to play with 3D footage and “photoshop” it a bit into a nice animation.

6. Umineko no Naku Koro ni : Katayoku no Tori – Shikata Akiko

A bit of Beato to brighten up your day~

There’s no going around Umineko. The second adaption of the “… no Naku Koro ni” games is a popular hit this year. The opening is epic and whether you like latin chanting or not, the animation itself should already blast you from your seat. I like Studio DEEN’s animation quality a lot (especially Seitokai then) and if that’s not enough to convince you, then just watch the series. Place 6 is done, let’s enter the top 5.

5. Kurokami : tRANCE – GRANRODEO

The first upbeat song in my list. I really liked this song and after the Chief told me about it, it motivated me to marathon the series (though it happened several weeks later…). I don’t really have much else to say about the song, but the series is really recommendable for those who haven’t watched it yet. Lots of action as the opening implies, but a good storyline and really good seiyuu preforming in here.

4. Higashi no Eden : Falling Down – Oasis

Yeah, I’m surprised too… an English song in my top 5?! Still, the song and animation are superb. Higashi no Eden was probably the most renewing anime of the year. An original plot, a futuristic, yet modern day world with a theme that’s very a present-day theme : terrorism. I’m already looking forward to the movies which are coming out this winter (or at least one of them?) I hope Oasis will preform the theme song for those as well. Really, this one fits in my list this year.

3. Asura Cryin 2 : Alternative – angela

Top 3! Definitely worth it for me. The series itself is still going on, but in the opening are certain spoilers so if you haven’t watched the first season, it might be a bit spoiler-ish. Anyway, Asura might not have to best animation, but it really knows how to entertain. The song starts slow, but goes into climax later on. I think it depends on whether you like Atsuko’s voice or not, but I’m a fan of the song.

2. Hayate no Gotoku!! : daily-daily Dream – KOTOKO

Cause a bit of random Hina service is good for you!

Well, for me there’s not much to explain about this song nor the series. It just proves that JC Staff can turn anything they touch into moe moe gold. The opening is better than Wonder Wind for me since I prefer KOTOKO and upbeat songs with a catchy tune to them.  As for the series… why don’t you ask the Chief?

Unfortunately for this song, there’s one song that even beats this when it comes to upbeat and catchy…ness.

1. To Aru Kagaku no Railgun : only my railgun – fripSide

Just what did I just say about JC Staff? Anyway, yes this is my number 1 simply because the beat drives me crazy every time I listen to it. FripSide might be known to some of you for doing the Koihime Musou songs, but this is a level higher. The animation for the opening is avarage I guess, there’s still a lot happening in Railgun and probably a second opening will follow soon. But, this song is for 2009’s best.

E um novo Top 10 está chegando dessa vez trazendo uma questão 100% pessoal: Meus jogos favoritos, foi muito dificil fazer esta lista (menos o 1º lugar obviamente) já que existem tantos games classicos, profundos, ou simplismente divertidos dos quais já joguei; então confira os meus favoritos e já pense nos seus em mais um Top 10!

10º Legends of Zelda A Link To The Past

Aiaiai, Zelda, Zelda, Zelda… bom como posso descrever o que sempre achei dessa serie? Chata… serio, não sou o maior fã de Zelda do mundo, menos ainda da Nintendo, a unica serie que gosto pra caramba é da gata da Samus: Metroid.

Mas porque pombas A Link To The Past tá nessa lista você está pensando? Bom, eu também não faço a minima ideia, nunca gostei muito da ideia da serie Zelda mas quando resolvi dar uma chance para este jogo já antigo ainda para SNES mas que é classico (por pedidos da minha prima) eu senti uma certa… magia! serio, gostei mesmo do jogo, dar espadadas em soldados, ganhar alguns poderezinhos legais, reunir a Triforce, tudo isso é muito legal nesse jogo! Lutar contra ganon e vence-lo é ainda mais gratificante; e por esta magia que o jogo me fez ele ganhou o 10º lugar em meu coração.

Então por que não jogou mais? você pode estar pensando, bem eu até tentei, peguei alguns mas em todos tive a mesma sensação: ZZZZzzzzZZzzZZZZZ…. E até hoje me sinto um pouco estranho por Zelda me ter hipnotizado, bom vamos ao nono!!!

9º Guitar Hero 3

Cara que jogo foda!! Quando vi pela primeira vez tive a sensação: “Meu isso ai deve ser uma porcaria” nunca fiquei tão feliz por estar enganado, Guitar Hero é divertido demais, um jogo viciante, claro não é pra todo mundo mas é muito show, ficar acertando as notas cada vez mais dificeis em musicas que não saem mais da minha cabeça é a melhor coisa que tem!

E olha que eu sou um cara que não gosta de jogar um jogo nem duas vezes seguidas, sabe quando você gaha mais armas, munição infinita ou qualquer outra coisa que o jogo ofereça? Gosto de terminar o modo historia na raça e printo, me glorificar no espelho por ter vencido um jogo realmente foda! Mas este Guitar Hero foi o unico jogo da minha vida em que sempre que alguem me chamar pra uma partida ou sempre ue meder na telha eu vou topar de primeira! Coisa que nunca faria com um jogo de futebol, por favor, não me chamem pra jogar fifa tá certo, eu não gosto nem de jogar de verdade quanto mais com bonequinhos quadrados.

8º God of War

Estava pensando em colocar o Devil may Cry aqui mas eu vi o quanto esse jogo me fez bem em joga-lo, tipo Kratos é um cara fodido da vida que matou a mulher e a filha, vendeu a alma pro Aries, virou putinha dos deuses só que tudo o que o cara quer é o perdão de Zeus; coisa que ele pode fazer derrotando o cara que tem o poder de sua alma, Aries, não percebe a linda metafora neste jogo?

Além de ser um dos melhores jogos de pancadaria que já joguei com lutas sangrentas, e humor negro burlesco God of War mostra a vida de algumas pessoas que fazem de tudo para ter o que querem mas depois olham a cagada que fizeram ebuscam por redenção, mas sempre existe algo para impedir, uma barreira que parece intransponivel mas que sempre pode ser quebrada! 7º Megaman Zero 3

Ao contrario de Zelda sempre fui meio fã de Megaman, o jogo é dificil,  é estrategico, o personagem é legal pra caramba, tem um carisma danado pra mim e uma historia sem sentido nenhum que ainda sim pode ser profunda e divertida; meu esse é um segundo Sonic pra mim!

E apesar de adorar o megaman prefiro como muitos o Zero, e a melhor coisa que a Capcom fez foi criar uma serie só pra ele depois dos legais X, Megaman Zero é divertido de mais, não conta com armaduras ou poderes é só você e sua eximia habilidade de dar pulos incriveis e matar chefes impusiveis! Podia ter escolhido qualquer um dos 4 jogos da serie pra colocar aqui, porque o 3? por que é muito foda, o primeiro chefe é um robo gigantesco e coisa só vai subindo de nivel, você luta contra uma versão burlesca dele no final do jogo, depois uma versão ultimate de um robo que tem as faces de Megaman, Zero e Axl da serie Megaman X (qual é só eu percebi isso?) e no fim o unico cara que pode mesmo derrotar Zero, o verdadeiro Zero! Demais!!!

6º Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 e 2

Essa serie é sensacional, realmente sem palavras, os jogos não tem muito enredo mesmo, mas o gameplay é exelente, os graficos são supimpa (mais o que é supimpa?), e é simplesmente outro jogo que me deixou hipnotizado ao começar a jogar até o fim deles que são sempre sensacionais de sua propria forma!

Porque eu coloquei os 2 juntos ao inves de escolher um só? O Top 10 é meu né, e eses jogos são sensacionais, a fase do Rio de Janeiro é incrivel, os caras gritam em portugues meu, muito massa veio! bom, não tenho muito mais a falar desse então vamos pro proximo:

5º Resident Evil 4

Poxa é Resident Evil cara! tinha que estar aqui; mas quero deixar claro de novo, essa não é uma das minhas series favoritas, sempre gostei de Resident mas passei a olha-la com outros olhos quando coloquei a 4ª edição no meu PS2, o jogo trazia toda a atmosfera de terror e suspense; o jogo dá um friozinho legal na barriga, os encapuzados falando coisas estranhas dão medo, e quem não deu um pulo quando o maluco da serra eletrica decapitou você? Esse é um jogo em 1 milhão, é muito bom, quase perfeito! E fica muito melhor quando nós zeramos ele do lado do melhor amigo como foi meu caso!

Por que não o 5 já que dá até pra jogar de 2? Porque não gostei muito dele; bom é um jogo muito bom, mas te entrega toda a historia e é muito curto; não dá mais o frio na barriga, o jogo se passa de dia na maior parte do tempo, Resident é a noite caramba! Resident Evil 4 é muito melhor mesmo que tenha graficos mais quadrados e não seja realistico; mas sempre digo e repito, é videogame, não é pra ser realistico! Vamos pro proximo!

4º Halo 3

Terminar um bom ao lado do melhor amigo é uma das coisas boas da vida! e pude fazer isso ainda melhor em Halo 3 já que também da pra jogar de 2! Cara Halo é sensacional, Master Chief é sensacional, o Arbitro é um alien muito foda!

O jogo é ação do começo ao fim, armas incriveis inimigos com 3x mais massa que você fazem sua cabeça pirar com tanta explosão ao lado, em portugue ainda pra entender melhor a historia é o que complementa a receita! Halo 3 é um dos melhores jogos que já joguei no Xbox 360 e também está no meu coração, só não é melhor do que:

3º Batman Arkham Asylum

É o Batman e pronto!  O jogo foi e é incrivelmente bom pra mim, porrada, ataques furtivos, clima sombrio e finalmente um jogo que honre meu heroi favorito simplismente tem de estar entre os meus favoritos por obrigação!

O jogo simplismente é bom, ninguem pode reclamar além de mega fanzassos de RPG que passam o dia inteiro grudados na tela evoluindo seus personagens pra porcaria nenhuma, Arkhma Asylum é o estilo de jogo que eu adoro: linear, porradaria, humor (o coringa é muito show) e tudo o que faz de um jogo bom! Só não é meu favorito pois os proximos 2 estão no meu coração pra sempre!

2º Streets of Rage

Muitos preferiram com certeza o segundo mas  eu tenho muitas boas lembranças com esse jogo aqui! Primeiro que ele foi o primeiro jogo de videogame que eu joguei na vida, aprendi tudo que sei hoje tentando zerar ele e o melhor, eu zerei Streets of Rage com meu pai! Hoje em dia ele não gosta mais de jogar, mas a culpa de eu ser um viciado como eu sou agora foi dele!

Agente jogava Golden Axe, Coluns, Sonic, Robocop e muitos outros mas meu favorito sempre será o primeiro jogo que terminei Streets of Rage, me lembrarei pra sempre de quando meu pai e eu pulavamos na frente da TV após derrotar o mardito Mr X! Vamos antes que eu chore como fã de Crepusculo… é brincadeira viu pessoal, nada contra não!

E agora o mais esperado… o primeiro lugar vai para:::::

1º Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Ah, esse aqui muita gente que visita o blog já sabia (aposto que você sabia Orochi!) Sonic é minha serie favorita de jogos, adoro a velocidade, o vento nos cabelos, esse é um personagem marcante, um jogo que demorei pra terminar no meu mega drive-sega cd, joguei Sonic CD até quebrar o visor do console, Sonic 2 foi o proximo, a ultima fase era muito fodastica, não tinha moeda meu! Mas nenhum jogo ganha de Sonic 3 e Knuckles (a versão que vem com 2 jogos em um só) e sua determinação em peguar o Robotnick! Serio o Sonic não para nenhum minuto nesse jogo, sei que em todo jogo linear o heroi não para mesmo mas aqui você em cut-scenes todo o trajeto que o ouriço e seu parceiro raposa fazem por toda a ilha lutando contra Knuckles e Eggman a todo momento olha só:

Ele da floresta e cai na agua, vai prum parque, a parte montanhosa da ilha, é jogado na neve, encontra a base do eggman e jogado em uma floresta de cogumelos, vai pra nave do Robotnick, derrota knuckles, ele te ajuda, vai pro espaço pra virar hyper sonic e meter um pé na bunda mais que bem dado no eggman! Esse jogo é foda demais demais! Peguar as 14 esmeraldas não é trabalho facil! mas também não é impossivel e é mais do que glorificante!

Sonic 3 & Knuckles é meu jogo favorito de todos os tempos e sempre será, nada de cidades enjoadas, lobisomens, camera horrivel, apenas grafico bonito, jogabilidade refinada, velocidade e um bom motivo pra peguar o Eggman e salvar a Ilha Flutuante! Sensacional!

Menções honrosas

Metroid Fusion

Outro jogo muito bom, como falei no começo metroid é minha serie favorita da Nintendo, Fusion é uma exelente aventura com muita ação, nenhuma enrolação é direta e reta! Só não entrou no Top 10 por que é meu 11º jogo favorito!

Devil May Cry 3

Dante é um cara muito legal, zuador pra caramba e está em otima forma nesse jogo, o titulo é muito dificil mas com um pouco de empenho é possivel zera-lo apos peguar a pratica! Por mais que eu realmente gosto do 4 este aqui é bem mais divertido!

The Champions League

É como uma mãe coruja, tudo o que você mesmo faz é lindo! este foi o jogo que nós da Games-X fizemos e eu particularmente achei muito bacana, e não percam em breve uma nova versão melhorada dele certo!

Street Fighter Alpha

Street Fighter é uma serie de briga de primeira linha meu, Alpha mostrou todos os golpes e combos exagerados e toda a potencia dos melhores lutadores dom mundo, claro nossa versão (Street Fighter Mugen Tournament) também é excelente!

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks

Sempre gostei de MK, quando vi um jogo de aventura +  sangue + multiplayer co-op +historia inspirada no meu titulo favorito da seris (MK2) = Meu 15º jogo favorito em toda a historia!

el sábado por la tarde mientras caminaba por las coloridas y alegres calles de monterrey pase cerca de un cine que se encuentra por cerca de mi casa, eran las 12 o 1 de la tarde y vi algo que me llamo demasiado la atención..una gran grupo  de pubertas emo haciendo fila para entrar al cine, algunas acompañadas de sus padres otras en manada, las típicas niñas  con playeras negras pantalones entubados que resaltan sus protuberantes pansas, moños de colores, delineador negro y empapadas de maquillaje para asemejar apariencia vampiresca y que de seguro son las mismas que les gusta grupos com tokyo hotel, algunas otras no tan emo ya mas grandes pero resaltaban mas ellas.. como era de esperarse  el grupo pubertas hacia fila para ver la mas resiente aventura de los vampiros maricas… solo por una razón quiero ver la película y es para criticarla en voz alta cada pendejada que suceda.

enserio toda esa gran afición a los vampiros ya me esta hartando, la onda de vampiros se me hacia bastante cool y muy rollo de los darks o goticos pero ya las niñas fresitas hablando de ellos me da una hueva. ni toman sangre!!!!! wtf.y ahora le daran en su madre a los hombres lobo.

10 – Oscar Peterson

Um sujeito difícil de se categorizar, transitando entre o swing e o bop, absorvendo estilos consagrados e digerindo tudo com muito virtuose, algo que foi (e ainda é) alvo de críticas para os ouvintes mais puristas do jazz. Para quem torcia os ouvidos com o excesso de notas de Oscar Peterson, o destino foi a resposta: nos seus anos derradeiros, o pianista teve um derrame e perdeu o movimento de sua mão esquerda continuando, mesmo assim, a se apresentar no mundo todo.

9 – John Lewis

Sinônimo de classe e elegância, e expoente do Third Stream (a mistura de jazz com música clássica), John Lewis levou o jazz muito a sério na sua vida. O seu trio, Modern Jazz Quartet, pecou e brilhou na sisudez com que eles se apresentavam. Grande acompanhador e grande arranjador, John Lewis ajudou agregou muito valor ao gênero.

8 – Horace Silver

Como grande parte dos grandes pianistas do jazz, Horace Silver é também um renomado compositor. Suas músicas e interpretações mantém até hoje um grande apelo popular, até para quem acha música instrumental coisa de gente que usa suéter e toma conhaque. Um pé fincado no blues, outro no Hard Bop, Horace Silver é um dos grandes nomes da Blue Note, um dos mais importantes selos de jazz da história.

7 – Chick Corea

Cientologista e amante dos sintetizadores, Chick Corea misturou na sua carreira a dose mais interessante de cafonice e sofisticação que o jazz já viu. Chick Corea vai do fusion à música clássica porque, no fundo, ele é um puta de um bitolado, estudando com fascínio acadêmico tudo o que é musical. Nunca se espante se um dia você encontrar Chick Corea numa jam session com os Foo Fighters (já rolou).

6 – Bud Powell

Bud Powell poderia muito bem ser o terceiro, segundo da lista. Só Deus sabe, Bud Powell era tão genial quanto louco, o que acabou precocemente com sua carreira. E com “louco” eu quero dizer que ele passou parte da sua vida num hospício, onde recebeu inúmeros tratamentos de choque o que, evidentemente, não prejudicou muito o seu talento. De fato, o próprio Charlie Parker dizia que Bud Powell era melhor que ele, cunhando o termo “outbird” para se referir ao pianista.

5 – McCoy Tyner

Dizer que McCoy Tyner foi o braço direito de John Coltrane é pouco. Sua carreira solo é em parte o legado do saxofonista tenor, mas como explicar discos mais mundanos e fantásticos como “Nights of Ballads and Blues”? McCoy Tyner transformou os acordes de piano numa coisa muito doida e única e virou um verdadeiro paradigma do instrumento na segunda metade do século XX.

4 – Erroll Garner

Sempre que você ouvir a história de que um desses grandes jazzistas não sabiam ler partitura, pode apostar que é mentira. Louis Armstrong, por exemplo, sempre soube ler notinhas, apesar do que dizem por aí. A única exceção é Erroll Garner. Ele não sabia ler música, o que é de se espantar se um dia você parar pra ouvi-lo. Erroll Garner tinha uma técnica infalível, e um estilo que às vezes lembra a gente de um Pedrinho Mattar (aquele velho idiota do Pianíssimo), mas que nem por isso perde a graça. Sem dúvida a melhor mão esquerda da história do piano.

3 – Bill Evans

Quem ouve rádio Eldorado já ouviu o mala do Daniel Daibem chamando Bill Evans de “impressionista do jazz”. O termo é tão afetado quanto preciso, pois Bill Evans tem no seu estilo algo de etéreo, atmosférico e sensual. Bill Evans é, de fato, uma pessoa muito importante na história do jazz também pelo aproach novo que ele deu não só ao piano, mas especialmente à sua harmonização. Os acordes de Bill Evans garantiam sua verve “impressionista” mas também permitiam um jogo mais democrático com seus trios, onde não havia claramente um protagonista. Baixo e bateria, na visão de Bill Evans, não acompanham, mas complementam. Um cara fundamental.

2 – Art Tatum

Uma das grandes tristezas no mundo do jazz é o fato de que a discografia de Art Tatum é tão velha que ela é podre de tão ruim. O que temos de Tatum é uma ruína do que já foi, mas nem por isso menos impressionante. Aliás, pouca gente nesse quase século que passou conseguiu chegar perto da destreza e maestria do cara, o que é muito se considerarmos que além de tudo ele era meio cegueta. Art Tatum é uma das senão a maior influência de pelo menos 80% dos pianistas dessa lista. É o piano em puro estado de graça.

1 – Thelonious Monk

Monk é top 5 não só dessa lista, mas também de várias outras, como Top 5 compositores e Top 5 gosto para chapéus exóticos. Monk é inventor de um estilo difícil de se copiar e fácil de se incorporar, em que se descobriu que existia toda uma coisa rolando ali por entre as notas do piano. Descrever o som de Monk é atentar ao seu grande nível de complexidade: Monk, como Tatum, entra na categoria clássica de genialidade, dado que Monk era muita coisa ao mesmo tempo, característica que entra em perfeito compasso com seu conhecido distúrbio bipolar. Thelonious Monk abusou de todo o escopo de intervalos musicais e usou com eficiência e respeito todas as notas do piano, das mais graves às mais agudas, fazendo um tipo de música que é no mínimo inesquecível e, por mais bizarro que ela possa soar, algo que provém das mais profundas e tradicionais raízes do jazz.

Por  los racionamientos eléctricos que ha decretado nuestro “querido” presidente o por circunstancias que prescinden de luz (como revelar una fotografía), me ha tocado vivir de cerca la oscuridad. Y aunque me disguste no poder prender la radio, usar mi computadora e incluso alisarme el cabello, no me complico y como dice el dicho: “Al mal tiempo, buena cara” o “A oscuras, más creatividad”:

1.  Abrazarle “sin querer, queriendo” al que está a lado.
2. Humor oscuro: reirte de los accidentes que otras pesonas sufren.
3. Agarrarle algo a tu compañer@ de laboratorio fotográfico. (Agradece que no te hice la foca)
4. O por el contrario, pegarle para desquitarte.
5. Contar historias de miedo.
6. Para los enamorados: organizar una cena (preparada en cocina de gas) a la luz de las velas.
7. Preámbulo (besos, caricias) y mmm…
8. Asomarte por la ventana a contemplar el cielo en todo us esplendor.
9. Reflexionar sobre el estilo de vida de las personas no videntes.
10. Cualquier cosa que a la luz no te atreverías a hacer. O por qué creen que las discotecas, karaokes, moteles tienen poca luz… ja ja!!!

I usually don’t talk about pop culture, but Twilight is too big and too wrong to let off the hook.

The target audience of Twilight is young girls between the ages of 9 and 20.  This demographic is extremely impressionable, and as with anybody they’re most likely to be influenced by those they respect and admire. If your child owns a Twilight poster with Edward and Bella’s faces on it, they obviously look up to those people even if they’re fictional characters…especially since children have a hard time distinguishing between reality and fantasy. So of course children are going to be influenced by the role models of Edward and Bella.

 

..As a parent it would be irresponsible to allow your children to read and watch Twilight because it’s chalked full of themes that provide horrible influences on young, impressionable girls. I’m going to analyze these themes and pull 6 reasons out of them not to let your children read/watch Twilight. None of the things I’m going to say here haven’t been said somewhere else 1000 times, which is all the more reason why you should be ashamed of yourself for failing your children if you’ve encouraged their exposure to Twilight.

1. Pedophilia is acceptable.

Edward is 109. Bella is 17. This is the definition of pedophilia, but in the story it’s okay for them to have this relationship because Edward looks 17. In real life girls idolize Edward. They want to fall in love with Edward. Since they can’t have Edward they need a substitute: someone real who is much older, wiser and stronger than them. The only stipulation is that the older person has to look young. Twilight drives home the theme that pedophilia is okay by the fact that Edward is a monster who society won’t accept, yet his affair with Bella (which he has behind Bella’s parents’ back) is portrayed as a beautiful thing. This might seem like anal nitpicking to an adult, but what does it look like to an impressionable, hormonal teen following the lead of her idol?

2. You’re incomplete without a man…or at least, it’s of the utmost importance to be in a relationship.

Obviously, this message sets women’s right 20 years back, but that’s so obvious I’m not even going to talk about it further. I want to talk about the more subtle message that it’s of the utmost importance to be in a relationship at all. There’s a lot to be said for relationships and marriage, but those are adult themes for the adult phase of your life. Tween and teen girls need to be focusing on finding themselves and establishing their independence so that when it comes time to date they don’t become codependently attached to the first guy who tells her she loves her. Barraging young girls with the message that their life isn’t worth living unless they’re in a relationship cripples them for life.

3. Rushing into a committed relationship is virtuous.

This is similar to #2, but a little different. Twilight shows that it’s not just enough to lock yourself into a relationship with someone you barely know, but you should do it as quickly as possible. If you can’t understand why that’s bad then you don’t deserve to be a parent. Then again, maybe that’s why you’re a parent.

4. Men have to be superhuman.

Edward is portrayed as not only super strong but also super refined, super selfless and super courteous. Twilight is setting young girls’ expectations at this standard. That’s not to say that men shouldn’t be strong, refined, altruistic and courteous, but nobody is perfect…especially not teenage boys. This unrealistic standard is setting up young girls for heartbreak. I guarantee you that before this whole Twilight fad is over it will have caused someone to commit suicide. Even without that, it’s going to stress out already overstressed teen boys, and it’s going to send girls into adulthood resenting men for not being perfect.

5. Love leads to sex.

Twilight doesn’t say this. In fact, Bella and Edward stay celibate, but that’s not how real life works. Every male “player” knows that the quickest way to sleep with a girl is to tell her you love her. The reason this works is because girls want sex to mean something. So if a man tells her he loves her then she views it as meaningful and thus it’s okay. Twilight tells girls they have to fall in love…immediately. It also says you need to prove your love. What do you think is going to happen in real life once your daughter falls in love with a stranger and sex ceases to be as taboo and she wants to prove her love?

6. There are better books/movies your children should be reading/watching than Twilight anyway.

The simple fact that they’re occupying their time reading/watching Twilight means they’re wasting irreplaceable time during their formative years that they could be using to read good books and watch good movies. That’s reason enough to keep them away from Twilight.

1. Don’t be a dick.

Long before the Internet was invented Gandhi said, “I like your Christ. I don’t like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” I don’t know if the disconnect between Christ and Christians has gotten worse since the invention of the Internet or it has just become more apparent. Either way, Christians have earned a reputation on the Internet for being sarcastic, petty, condescending and spiteful (to say the least).

It’s mind boggling that this even has to be pointed out, but being a dick is not going to convince anybody to join your group and accept your ideology. It’s going to accomplish the opposite. It’s going to build resentment for your group and close people’s minds to your message. Plus, other Christians are going to have to work that much harder and longer to undo the damage you’ve done.

Witnessing aside, being a dick isn’t Christ-like, and if it is, then it’s just as well that you’re destroying any chance of converting people.

2. Know your theology.

Before the invention of the internet you might have been able to defend Christianity without going to seminary. However, with the amount of information freely available to anyone able to type a key word into a search engine, every 12 year old can argue on a doctoral degree. Then again, you never know who you’re talking to on the Internet. There are a lot of atheists who understand the Bible better than a lot of Christians. It doesn’t take many apologetic mistakes to destroy your witness. So if you’re going to profess your beliefs on an open forum, you’d better know what you’re talking about or you’re going to get torn to shreds and the only thing you’ll convince anybody of is that Christians don’t even understand their own religion.

On a side note, you shouldn’t be trying to convert people to an ideology you don’t fully understand yourself. You need to spend your free time doing your own studying and getting closer to God before you tell other people to.

3. Pick and choose your battles.

Non Christians don’t believe in Creationism. They do believe in evolution. They also believe that Creationism is a monument to illogical thinking. Regarless of what you believe, the reality is that harping on evolution is going to cause people to dismiss you almost immediately. Maybe the Bible says homosexuality is bad. Maybe it was taken out of context. It doesn’t matter. The reality is that a lot of people see gay rights as equivalent to women’s rights and anti-gay propaganda as the same as racist propaganda. Regardless of what you believe, the reality is that harping on homosexuals is going to cause people to dismiss you as a close-minded bigot almost immediately. And these issues are irrelevant to your purposes anyway. The most important message is love. So preach love and acceptance like Jesus did or you’re not worth listening to anyway.

4. Understand the difference between arguing the existence of God and the validity of the Bible as God’s word.

Even though there’s no difference to you, there is to everyone else. Proving the Bible is true would prove that God exists, but proving God exists wouldn’t necessarily prove the Bible is true. At any rate, you can’t prove God exists using the scientific method, which is the atheist’s measuring stick for truth. So theological debates about the existence of God are practically guaranteed to be a waste of time. Focus on studying and sharing the Bible instead, but don’t try to use the Bible as proof that God exists. Regardless of what you believe, it won’t work.

5. Don’t copy and paste huge articles.

This is the age of Twitter and 5 minute YouTube videos. The only thing that moves faster than life is information. Very few people read long articles. If you want to convince somebody of something you need to do it quickly and poignantly. Posting huge articles is a waste of everybody’s time. Plus, when somebody with a handle like “SilverSurferExtreme1989” posts a doctoral level essay it’s obvious that he plagiarized it. That means he doesn’t know enough to hold a conversation on his own, and he’s lying by passively taking credit for someone else’s work. For both reasons he’s not worth listening to.

6. Use proper grammar, and ditch the emoticons.

If your message isn’t valuable enough to express using proper grammar then people are going to assume it isn’t worth listening to. Also, if you fill your messages with funny little emoticons people are going to assume that your message is meant for children and not meant to be taken seriously by adults.

7. Don’t tell people they’re going to Hell.

Imagine if an atheist came up to you and shouted in your face, “IF YOU WON’T STOP BELIEVING IN GOD THEN FUCK YOU.” That might have even happened to you before. If it did, how did it make you feel? Did it change your mind or close it to their message? Because when you tell nonbelievers they’re going to Hell, all they hear is, “I represent a hateful ideology that you need to stay as far away from as possible.”

8. Don’t just bust into a forum or thread and shout, “The Bible is the word of God. Praise Jesus.” and leave it at that. Similarly, don’t just bust into a forum or thread and shout, “Your arguments are stupid. You’re all wrong. God is great.” and leave it at that.

While your enthusiasm and courage is bound to impress the choir, it does absolutely nothing for unbelievers. To them it just makes you look like a fanatic who has nothing of substance to relate. This kind of witnessing will only push people farther away.

9. If you don’t have an answer to a tough question, don’t tell people, “You just have to have faith.”

From their point of view, no, they don’t just have to have faith. From their point of view, you just have to have an answer. “You just have to have faith.” is code for, “I don’t know.” You may as well have just said, “There’s no point in listening to me because I don’t know what I’m talking about, and my ideology isn’t even important enough to me to take the time to understand.”

10. Similarly, don’t tell people to read the Bible or pray to God for answers.

If a Muslim told you to read the Koran or pray to Allah, would that convert you? No. Absolutely, positively not. Non Christians aren’t going to go to the Bible or God for answers. They’re going to go to you. It’s your responsibility to provide them with guidance. If you need to tell people to read the Bible or pray to God you may as well just tell them, “There’s no point in listening to me because I don’t know what I’m talking about, and my ideology isn’t even important enough to me to take the time to understand.”

He aqui la lista de los 10 addons que más descargas tuvieron en el año que esta por terminar… 2009.

Tal vez sea una sorpresa para algunos ya que los primero puestos son ocupados por un juego que hasta donde he leído y escuchado no es tan bueno por el tema que toca [la WW II bastante quemada ya...] y por tener como antecesor a un juego que ha marcado historia dentro de los FPS de nueva generación, ¿Ya saben de quien hablo? Así es Call of Duty (5): World at War.

Robbie Williams edita segundo single de su nuevo disco. La canción You Know Me, incluye un sample de Voilà, de Françoise Hardy, que para muchos pasará desapercibido. Aprovechamos la excusa para hacer un repaso en forma de top a samples (o trozos de otras canciones) en el pop de los últimos años.

10. Robbie Williams – You Know Me de Voilà – Françoise Hardy

La verdad es que el sample es sutil y encaja muy bien con el aire retro y pop de la canción. El vídeo, con Robbie Williams disfrazado de conejo y bailarinas montadas en zanahorias, es cosa aparte.

9.Jamelia – Beware of the dog, de Personal Jesus – Depeche Mode

Menos gracia tuvo sampleando Jamelia, que tiró del pegadizo hit de Depeche Mode para su canción. El resultado no es que sea desastroso, pero poco le queda a la canción si le quitas el sample.

8. Marta Sánchez – Superstar, de Just Can’t Get Enough, de Depeche Mode

El sample también se ha cultivado en territorio nacional. La Sánchez, fiel a su título de Madonna española, copió a la ambición rubia (como lleva haciendo 30 años). Que la ambición rubia vuelve al dance y samplea canciones de los 80, pues ella también. Respaldada por Carlos Jean y cogiendo de este pegadizo hit de Depeche Mode, se marcó esta cutrada de canción y se quedó tan ancha. El problema es que si Madonna se apunta con cierto retraso a las modas, no te digo ya la Sánchez. Tarde y poco original es lo mejor que se puede decir de este engendro musical.

7. David Guetta feat Kelly Rowland – When Love Takes Over, de Clocks – Coldplay

El DJ y productor está arrasando con su disco y con sus producciones para los Black Eyed Peas. Pero, ¿un sample de Coldplay para una canción dance no sería ir demasiado lejos? Guetta supo aprovechar lo pegadizo de la intro de piano, aunque se abusa un poco durante la canción. Sin embargo, el efecto logrado es bastante resultón.

6. Britney Spears – Radar, de Tainted Love – Soft Cell

A la hora de samplear la Spears no podía ser menos, y decidió tirar de este clásica versión de Soft Cell para su electro-pop-petardo en Radar, que está incluida en Blackout y en Circus (la misma canción en dos discos, sí señores). Al igual que Jamelia, poco queda de la canción si le quitas el sample, pero al menos el resultado final es un poco más digno.El problema es que este sample ya lo había usado alguien unos años antes…

5. Rihanna – SOS, de Tainted Love – Soft Cell

Sí, Rihanna, hoy estrella internacional gracias a su Umbrella y otras peripecias, ya había usado para su debut este sample en sus SOS y con un efecto más contudente que la Spears.

4. Madonna – Future Lovers, de I feel love – Dona Summer

El Confessions de Madonna está repleto de sample bien usados. Uno de los más característicos y aparentes (aparte del de Jackson 5, no incluído en este ranquing) es de Dona Summer, que curiosamente era contemporánea de Madonna en los 80. La gracia es que la canción de la Summer era tan avanzada  a su tiempo que no parece para nada una canción de los 80, con lo que la elección para el sample es bastante acertada.

3. Kylie – Sensitized, de Bonnie & Clyde – Serge Gainsbourg

La diva australiana fue más lista sampleando en su último disco X, y cogió también de una canción poco conocida por el público actual. El sample del maestro Gainsboroug, si bien un poco estrambótico, le sienta muy bien a la canción.

2. Gwen Stefani – Wind  it Up, de Lonely Goatherd – Banda sonora de Sonrisas y Lágrimas

Más rocambolesco fue lo de la Stefani. ¿Ese sample tirolés en una canción pop hip-hop al estilo Stefani? Según ella quiso incluirlo porque Sonrisas y Lágrimas era una de sus películas favoritas. A las primeras escuchas no pegaba ni con cola, pero uno se acababa acostumbrado y hasta le encontraba su gracia…

1. Madonna – Hung Up, de Gimme de Abba

Es evidente que el sample del que más se hablado en los últimos años fue el del Hung Up, del retorno de Madonna a las pistas de baile. La canción supo aprovechar lo pegadizo del sample para crear una canción totalmente nueva, cosa que no siempre se consigue. Los Abba se mostraron encantados de que la reina del pop sampleara su hit, así que todos contentos.

Ik denk dat ik gisteren het concert van het jaar heb gezien. Wat een concertweek, -maand en -jaar!
