Confesso sempre tive uma queda por filmes abordam o tema psicanálise. Gosto de como o desvendar de nosso inconsciente pode mostrar-se tão decisivo nas tomadas de decisões diárias; de como a sensopercepção de mundo possa estar totalmente influenciada pelas experiências vividas ao longo do tempo. Gosto do debate de idéias. Não só filmes, mas também seriados como Dr. House e The Mentalist, e livros como os de Rubem Alves e Augusto Cury (ambos psicanalíticos).

Segue abaixo uma lista de 10 filmes que abordam essa análise piscológica entre seus protagonistas, gerando muitas vezes momentos de tensão e profundo mergulho no mundo do inconsciente ou subconsciente, a fim de buscar soluçoes para traumas e dores vividas.

1. Freud além da alma (Freud, 1956)

Produzido em 1962, mostra parte da vida de Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), o pai da Psicanálise, desde sua gradução em Medicina até o desenvolvimento de suas primeiras teorias psicanalíticas. Em parte, foca no tratamento de uma jovem paciente, no qual formula o Complexo de Édipo. No elenco, Montgomery Clift como Freud e Susannah York como a paciente Cecily Koertner. A direção é do grande John Huston, de filmes como “O Falcão Maltês” (1941) e “O Tesouro de Sierra Madre” (1948). A trilha sonora foi composta por Jerry Goldsmith, que foi indicado ao Oscar pelo trabalho.

2. Genio Indomavel (Good Will Hunter, 1998)

Dirigido por Gus Van Sant (Elefante, Encontrando Forrest, Milk – A Voz da Liberdade) e escrito pela dupla de atores, Matt Damon (Identidade Bourne, 12 Homens e 1 Segredo, Os Infiltrados, Confissoes de uma mente perigosa) e Ben Afleck (Pearl Harbor, Armagedon, O Contrato), o filme foi um grande sucesso, recebendo o Oscar de melhor roteiro original. Conta a história do jovem Will Hunting, servente de uma universidade, revela-se um gênio em matemática. Com algumas passagens pela polícia, ele é obrigado a fazer terapia. O tratamento só começa a dar certo quando ele se identifica com o terapeuta Sean Maguire, interpretado brilhantemente por Robin Williams (Patch Adams, Sociedade dos Poetas Mortos, Amor Além da Vida, Desconstruindo Harry).

3. Reine sobre mim (Reign over me, 2007)

Dirigido por Mike Binder (Uma Cara Quase Perfeito, A Outra Face da Raiva), que por sinal é o seu melhor trabalho, o filme conta no elenco com os atores Adam Sandler (Embriagado no Amor, Tratamento de Choque) e Don Cheadle (Onze Homens e Um Segredo, Crash – No Limite, Hotel Huanda, Traffic). Depois que perde sua família nos atentados terroristas de 11 de Setembro, um homem recorre a um ex-colega de quarto que se tornou médico e está disposto a ajudar o amigo a se conformar com sua dor. Pra mim, um dos melhores filmes de 2007, e com uma atuação convincente de Adam Sandler.

4. 12 Macacos (12 Monkeys, 1996)

Dirigido por Terry Gilliam (Pescador de Ilusoes, Os Irmãos Grimm), o filme conta a história, no ano de 2035, de James Cole, interpretado por Bruce Willis(O Sexto Sentido, Pulp Fiction) é um prisioneiro dentro de uma cidade subterranêa, e com a proposta de liberdade aceita a missão de voltar ao passado para tentar decifrar mistério envolvendo um vírus mortal que levou à morte da maior parte da humanidade. Tomado como louco, no passado, ele acaba internado num manicomio, onde ninguém, além de seu colega Jeffrey Goines, interpretado por Brad Pitt (Babel, Sete Anos no Tibet, Seven – Sete Pecados Capitais, Clube da Luta, Encontro Marcado), parece acreditar nele, com isso ele passa tentar provar sua sanidade a uma médica renomada que se torna sua única esperança de mudar o futuro e evitar que a humanidade seja exterminada da Terra. Um roteiro denso e sensacional, alem de atuações memoráveis, com um final surpreendente!

5. Um Estranho no Ninho (One Flew Over the Cuckoo´s Nest, 1975)

Dirigido por Milos Forman (Amadeus, O Povo Contra Lary Flint), o filme conta a história do presidiário Randle McMurphy, interpretado por Jack Nicholson (Melhor é Impossível, O Iluminado, Confissoes de Schmidt, Questão de Honra), que  acreditava que deixaria de trabalhar na prisão fingindo ser louco, mas seus planos são frustrados quando é obrigado a morar em um hospital psiquiátrico. Para tentar animar o local, o rapaz começa a jogar cartas e basquete, o que faz com que ele enfrente a autoritária enfermeira Mildred Ratched. Com talvez a melhor atuação de Jack Nicholson, foi premiado com os oscares de melhor filme, roteiro adaptado, direção, ator e atriz. Um clássico dos anos 70!

6. Rain-Man (Rain-Man, 1988)

Dirigido por Barry Levinson (Sleepers – Vingança Adormecida, Mera Coincidência, Esfera), esse clássico conta a história de Charlie Babbit, interpretado por Tom Cruise (Magnólia, Questão de Honra, Missão Impossível), que, depois da morte do pai, descobre que seu irmão autista, Raymond, interpretado por Dustin Hoffman (Todos Homens do Presidente, Mera Coincidência, O Juri), herdou uma fortuna. Como Charlie não sabia de sua existência, ele decide ir conhecê-lo e descobrir porque Raymond foi escondido de sua vida. Um filme inspirador! Conseguiria um autista mudar a vida de um business man ambicioso?

7. Bicho de 7 Cabeças (idem, 2001)

Oba! Um filme brasileiro na lista! Conta a história de Neto, interpretado por Rodrigo Santoro (Simplesmente Amor, Abril Despedaçado, Che – O Argentino, Carandiru, 300), que possui um relacionamento dificil com seu pai Wilson, interpretado por Othon Bastos (Abril Despedaçado, Central do Brasil, Policarpo Quaresma – Heroi do Brasil), com um vazio entre eles aumentando cada vez mais. Seu Wilson despreza o mundo de Neto e este não suporta a presença do pai. A situação entre os dois atinge seu limite e Neto é enviado para um manicômio, onde terá que suportar as agruras de um sistema que lentamente devora suas presas. Uma parada obrigatória nas aulas de psiquiatria ou discussão acerca da vertente anti-manicomial.

8. Uma Mente Brilhante (A Beautiful Mind, 2002)

Dirigido por Ron Howard (Luta pela Esperança, Código Da Vinci, Anjos e Demonios), esse filme, vencedor de 4 Oscars, incluindo melhor filme, conta a história real do incrível John Nash, interpretado brilhantemente por Russel Crowe (O Informante, Gladiador, Los Angeles – Cidade Proibida). Aos 21 anos de idade, John Nash formulou um teorema que provou sua genialidade. Infelizmente, nove anos depois ele foi diagnosticado como esquizofrênico. Sempre enfrentando batalhas em sua vida pessoal, Nash ainda viria a ganhar o prêmio Nobel. Esse filme espetacular conta ainda com a incrivel atuação da lindissma e talentosa Jennifer Connelly (Casa de Areia e Névoa, Diamante de Sangue, Requiem para o Sonho) que lhe valeu o Oscar de melhor atriz.

9. O Pescador de Ilusões (The Fish King, 1991)

Dirigido por Terry Gilliam (12 Macacos, Os Irmaos Grimm), o filme conta a história de um Locutor de rádio, interpretado por Jeff Bridges (Provocação, O Grande Lebowski, Seabiscuit – Alma de Heroi) que larga o ofício, traumatizado após ouvinte matar várias pessoas num bar porque seguiu seus conselhos num programa. É quando encontra ex-professor, interpretado brilhantemente pelo também brilhante ator Robin Williams (Patch Adams – O Amor é Contagioso, Sociedade dos Poetas Mortos, Genio Indomavel), que, com a morte da esposa justamente naquele bar, torna-se um mendigo insano que procura pelo Santo Graal.

10. Tempo de Despertar (Awakenings, 1990)

Dirigido por Penny Marshall (Quero Ser Grande, O Nome do Jogo), o filme conta a história de um médico, interpretado por Robin Williams (Pescador de Ilusoes, Genio Indomavel, Sociedade dos Poetas Mortos) que luta para trazer de volta à vida pacientes afetados pela doença do sono. Quando ele acha uma possível cura para a doença, um dos pacientes, interpretado por Robert De Niro (Touro Indomavel, Mafia ao Divã, Mera Coincidência, Ronin, Cassino, Taxi Driver), acorda depois de passar anos em estado de coma. Baseado em fatos verídicos

Despite my best efforts to not sink into lethargy and dribble away my better-spent time watching television, I can never seem to pry myself away from the glittering glisten of a shiny new season box set.  And thus, I’ve frittered away countless days watching season after season, series after series, pining for the quell to a confounding cliffhanger or unanswered quandary.  But alas and alack, not all of those questions could be answered.  Nay, many of my favorite shows are among those that have lived and died in the 2000s, and so – ah, yes – they shall be chronicled in list form.

10.  The Tick (2001-2002)
This quirky brainchild of a half-baked show, spawned from the cult comic book created by cartoonist Ben Edlund (and, inversely, a short-lived animated version), garnered less than a few rave reviews from the critics.  However, a dutiful crew of bandies have kept the legend alive, making sure that a blue body-suited Patrick Warburton (perhaps better known in the Seinfeld universe as Puddy the face-painter) made it to DVD.

09.  Wonderfalls (2004-2005)
The wonderfully pretense-free Wonderfalls operated on its own oddities, condoning the likes of apathetic twenty-somethings in less-than-turbulent times.  Protagonist Jaye – a likably dispicable underacheiver with a penchant for talking to inatimate objects – somehow begs the audience to cheer for her through her trials and tribulations of mediocrity.  Think Dead Like Me’s George Lass with a bit more wit and it’s clear to see why it’s a tragedy that this little engine that didn’t feel like it never stuck.

08.  Coupling (2000-2004)
It’s no wonder creator Stephen Moffat employed his own wife in order to write this hilariously uncomfortable British romp of a sitcom, nor is it a surprise; Coupling thrives off the chemistry of its quirky components – why, couples, of course.  It’s Ross-and-Rachel riddled with sexcapades and stickiness, all topped off with quick writing, dry wit and a hideous laugh track.  Perhaps America just wasn’t ready.

07.  Firefly (2002-2003)
Take Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, and experimental spaghetti sci-fi and throw them into a kettle-drum of a spaceship.  Add a few felonies and that Whedon whimsy to the mix and you’ve got a cult classic that never deserved (though, understandably got) the axe.  At least those fine folks in following managed to snag a DVD release, complete with four never-aired episodes the ‘verse just couldn’t do without.

06.  Undeclared (2001-2002)
It’s surprising to learn that two – yes, TWO! – of Judd Apatow’s star-studded series perished before season two renewal, perhaps because, well, no one was actually a star just yet.  After the untimely demise of the exorbitantly clever, bleak, and nostalgic Freak and Geeks in 1999, Apatow employed the help of a few familiar faces and chronicled the lives of many an awkard college freshman in the incredibly enjoyable and under-appreciated Undeclared.

05. Extras (2005-2007)
Ricky Gervais’s cringe-fest chronicling the pathetic happenings of hapless movie extras made us all appreciate a bit of unadulturated dry humor. Juxtapose Extras‘ brilliance with the tongue-in-cheek laugh-track-ridden show-within-a-show our protagonist unwittingly creates, and you’ve got a hideously hilarious gem (riddled with the likes of many a self-effacing celeb).

04.  Gilmore Girls (2000-2007)
Say what you will about the apparent chick-fest that is Gilmore, but don’t you dare glare at those gleaming smiles and frothy-colored DVD cases and judge this series by its cover.  Truly, not many more shows pack the heft, heart, and hilarity this one so earnestly offered up before we sadly had to bid adieu to our favorite dysfunctional family (that somehow, seemed to function just fine).

03.  Pushing Daisies (2007-2009)
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Daisies didn’t deserve to go.  However, cancellation upset was no stranger to the talent behind this lush and lovely dramedy, as former Wonderfalls alum – Bryan Fuller and Lee Pace – bled their hearts into this little ditty as well.  But it’s condolence enough to have those two fateful seasons archived in bursting, blooming box sets, as this ever-resting series is a simple joy to obsessively rewatch.

02.  Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009)
There are no casual BSG fans. Nay; to know Galactica is to love it, and to love it is to live it.  There’s nothing about this show that doesn’t catch you and keep you, love you and leave you.  Alright, so I’m being ridiculously dramatic, but it’s perhaps warranted – and this not-so-guilty-pleasure has its cultish following clamouring for more.  So if you can swing the ridiculous overpricing of the multiple half-season DVDs, you might just understand what everybody’s frakking about.

01.  Arrested Development (2003-2006)
I don’t mean to be bold, but there are few things that will ever be able to stack up to the likes of AD. From the lunacy to the brilliance, the quirky to the questionable, the innuendos that stretched the seasons to the incessant pop-culture references, nothing can compare to the odd integrity of it all.  And perhaps that’s exactly the way it should be.  Rest in peace, Bluths, if you can.

Há filmes e filmes. Há filmes que você entenderia mesmo com 30% do seu cérebro funcionando e ainda por cima fritando um ovo; muitos deles são até auto-explicativos, para não correr o risco de você ”voar” durante a história. Já outros merecem todo um preparo e concentração do telespectador; muitos deles necessitando até mesmo de uma segunda visita ao cinema, para poder captar ainda mais detalhes enigmáticos.  E pode ter certeza: são esses que ficarão guardado em nossas mentes! Nos desafiam a cada cena, a cada nova situação que nos instiga a tentar decifrar o segredo diante de tamanha primor ao texto.

Segue abaixo uma lista de 10 filmes que me instigaram, que me fizeram quebrar a cabeça durante e até mesmo depois da projeção, para enfim sair completamente satisfeito. Essa lista sim seguiu uma ordem de preferência. Bons filmes!!!

1. Cidade dos Sonhos (Mulholland Drive, 2001)

Este filme te desafia a ficar até o final da projeção. Para aqueles que também se sentiram desafiados a solucionar o enigma central, viram que foram nos 20min finais a chave para o entendimento. E o mais surpreendente: muitos ainda sim sairam da sala de cinema não entendendo ”bolufas” do que acabaram de presenciar. Filme de David Lynch (Veludo Azul, A Estrada Perdida, Imperio dos Sonhos), com certeza seu melhor trabalho no cinema, conta a história uma mulher, que dirigindo pela estrada de Mulholland, sofre um acidente e perde a memória. Ela encontra ajuda nas proximidades de Hollywood, onde conhece uma jovem que deseja ser atriz, interpretado pela ótima atriz Naomi Watts (21 Gramas, O Chamado, King Kong). A partir daí uma série de acontecimentos vão levando o telespectador a tentar juntar as peças e indagar até onde a realidade e a ilusão se encontram. 2 dicas para quem vai assistir a primeira vez: primeiro, posso encaixar o sonho em algum momento do filme? 2. Amnésia (Memento, 2001)

Dirigido e escrito por um dos grandes nomes do cinema atual, Cristopher Nolan (Batman – Cavaleiro das Trevas, O Grande Truque, Insônia), é simplesmente uma OBRA PRIMA! O filme conta a história de Leonard, interpretado por o excelente ator Guy Pearce (Los Angeles – Cidade Proibida, A Máquina do Tempo, O Conde de Monte Cristo), que, depois de sofrer um trauma, passa a ser incapaz de se lembrar de fatos que acabaram de ocorrer em sua vida. Assim, quando conversa durante mais de quinze minutos com alguém, ele acaba se esquecendo do que está discutindo. Por isso ele terá sérias dificuldades para descobrir quem assassinou sua esposa. O mais espetacular de tudo: o filme é rodado de trás pra frente! Genial!

3. Brilho Eterno de Uma Mente Sem Lembranças (Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, 2004)

Dirigido por Michel Gondry (Rebobine por favor) e escrito pelo brilhante Charlie Kaufman (Confissões de uma Mente Perigosa, Quero ser John Malkovic), o filme é colírio para quem gosta de filme dedicado! No filme, a garota, interpretada por uma das melhores atrizes da nova geração, Kate Winslet (Titanic, O Leitor, Pecados Intimos) se submete a uma `cirurgia`, recém-desenvolvida por um certo dr. Howard Mierzwiak, capaz de apagar seletivamente as lembranças de seu malfadado casamento com Joel, interpretado pelo meu ídolo Jim Carey (Show de Truman, O Mundo de Andy, Todo Poderoso). Ao descobrir o que a ex-esposa fez, o sujeito decide seguir o mesmo procedimento, mas, durante a cirurgia, percebe que quer manter as memórias e faz de tudo para evitar que estas sejam removidas de seu cérebro.

4. Magnólia (Magnólia, 2000) 

Dirigido e escrito pelo ótimo Paul Thomas Anderson (Sangue Negro, Embriagado de Amor, Boogie Nights – Prazer Sem Limites), este filme é sim um filme complexo e de simbolismos, metáforas e afins. O filme mergulha na vida de seus personagens, criando na platéia uma intensa expectativa de descobrir como todos serão inter-relacionados no final da trama. No elenco uma constelação de astros: Elenco: Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Felicity Huffman, Jason Robards, Melora Walters, Philip Baker Hall, Julianne Moore, William H. Macy, Alfred Molina, John C. Reilly.

 5. Clube da Luta (Club Fighting, 1999)

Dirigido por David Fincher (Zodiaco, Seven – Sete Pecados Capitais, O Curioso Caso de Benjamim Button). O filme conta sobre futuro próximo, onde grupos de homens civilizados formam o que se chama de `clubes de luta` (o `The Fight Club` do título). Nestes clubes, eles podem liberar seus instintos primitivos de agressão, espancando uns aos outros. Dono de uma fotografia impecável, uma trama densa e crítica aos costume e morais de uma sociedade dita civilizada, e uma história que se revela uma agradabilissma surpresa no final! No elenco, dois excepcionais atores, Brad Pitt (Onze Homens e um segredo, 12 Macacos, Seven – Sete Pecados Capitais, Encontro Marcado) e Eduard Norton (Uma Saida de Mestre, Cartas na Mesa, Dragão Vermelha, A Outra Historia Americana).

1. Coisas belas e sujas (Dirty Pretty Things, 2003)

Dirigido por Stephen Frears (A Rainha, Alta Fidelidade), o filme conta a história um imigrante ilegal, médico, vindo da Nigéria descobre o lado desagradável da vida em Londres, deparando com o tráfico ilegal de órgãos. Um filme que choca por revelar a verdade do mercado negro da saúde, não só na Europa, mas também no mundo. 2. Mar Adentro (Idem, 2004)

Dirigido por Alejandro Amenábar (Os Outros), esse filme é simplesmente tocante, um verdadeiro tapa no preconceito. Você é a favor ou contra a Eutanásia? O desafio será saber se sua opinião irá mudar após assistir esse filme. Conta a história real da vida de Ramon Sampedro, espanhol que lutou durante 30 anos a favor da eutanásia e seu direito de morrer. Interpretado brilhantemente por Javier Barden (Onde os fracos não tem vez, Vicky Cristina Barcelona).

3. Oleo de Lorenzo (Lorenzo´s Oil, 1993)

O filme conta a linda e triste história de um garoto é diagnosticado com uma rara doença que lhe dá no máximo 2 anos de vida. Inconformados com esta situação, seus pais passam então a pesquisar sobre a doença, a fim de que eles mesmos possam encontrar algo que possa ajudar o filho. Os protagonistas são Susan Sarandon (Lado a Lado, Tudo acontece em Elizabethtown) e Nick Note (Hulk).

4. Freud alem da alma (Freud, 1956)

Produzido em 1962, mostra parte da vida de Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), o pai da Psicanálise, desde sua gradução em Medicina até o desenvolvimento de suas primeiras teorias psicanalíticas. Em parte, foca no tratamento de uma jovem paciente, no qual formula o Complexo de Édipo. No elenco, Montgomery Clift como Freud e Susannah York como a paciente Cecily Koertner. A direção é do grande John Huston, de filmes como “O Falcão Maltês” (1941) e “O Tesouro de Sierra Madre” (1948). A trilha sonora foi composta por Jerry Goldsmith, que foi indicado ao Oscar pelo trabalho.

As I stoked through the ash and rubble of a plethora of naively nostalgic millennial lists begging to define this decade’s most contrived/artistic moments, I thought to myself, “I, too, can be prematurely trite and naive!”  And thus, I delved into work, dutifully posing my new kitten in textbook-pensive sleeping position upon my stomach and donning my uber-geek-chic glasses that are just slightly too large for my face.  I began typing in Murder-She-Wrote fury, stopping only to argue the semantics of the decade’s epoch with Boyfriend (“There was no year 0, therefore, a decade ranges from 01-10!”).  And thus, I have conjured the likes of my ultimate list of films that shaped this decade:  My Y2Kate.  And while I’m big-headedly naming things after myself, I’ll subject you to my scroll, derived deep from the depths of my sacred Netflix account.  The envelope, please:

Foi muito dificil fazer essa lista. Os 65 melhores filmes que já assisti, lançados nos ultimos 20 anos. São nada mais, nada menos, que duas décadas de paixão pela 7ª arte. Com certeza cometi o pecado de deixar bons filmes fora dessa lista. Contudo, todo filme tem o seu valor. Nem sempre aquele que é mais bem produzido vai ser aquele que vai te emocionar de verdade.

Mas já que estamos aqui pra ousar, nada mais ousado que classificar o que na verdade nem é pra ser classificado. Que pelo menos sirva de norteio para alguns na hora de ir na locadora (se quiser, é claro). A lista abaixo não segue uma ordem de preferência ou classificação. Todos tem um lugar especial em minha mente e coração de cinéfilo amador.

Then you’re in luck! Welcome to my totally unofficial and hastily crafted list of what I want to watch and most likely will watch this Halloween season! Halloween’s sadly getting a late start for me this year, an unprecedented occurance, so I’m totally going to make my scary movie-watching creep into November. Which is a hilarious thing to say, because ’round these parts, it’s always scary movie season.

Anyway! In alphabetical order, I present to you: MARLA’S TOP 10 HALLOWEEN MUST-SEE MOVIES THIS YEAR!

And no, I haven’t seen all of these yet, but I’m totally going to, so you can stick your “poseur!” back in your pants, Judge-y Bob. 

Obviously! I watched this Monday night and squealed in both delight and terror. Jerry will be reviewing it soon, so I’ll leave the rest up to him.

An incisive look at zombie rape. No, not rape BY zombies, that’s been done before. Rape OF zombies, by teenage boys. See? Incisive.

An old standby. The only movie I can watch 40 or 50 times and still scare myself silly, which is obviously the goal. Trust me. I have tested this theory.

uhm DUH. The score is my ringtone. Even when it’s not Halloween.

Another duh. The movie around which this blog was formed. I just can’t help but watch these movies every year. I NEED them, okay? And so do you. You should listen to me; I’m a professional.

Oh HELLZ YES. I’ve got this coming in the mail thanks to a very good friend, and thanks to its Friday release date, you can catch it in time for Halloween, too!

You gotta see one scary flick in the theater right? As much as I love couch time with my own refreshments, movies are always scarier when you can’t pause them or turn on the lights.

Abso. brilliant and deserving of its own post, which it will receive after I’m done rewatching it for the dozenth time.

Dia 18/10 comemorou-se o Dia do Médico! Celebro com muita alegria este dia (por sabidos motivos pessoais).

Nas séries de TV Americana não param de nascer seriados de qualidade, desde o pioneiro E.R., passando por Strong Medicine, Scrubs, e mais recentemente Grey´s Anatomy e Dr. House (tenho todas as temporadas).

No cinema não podia ser diferente. A Sétima arte nos presenteou com belos filmes sobre doença, cura e seus protagonistas. Pra começar, listo abaixo uma lista de 10 filmes abordando o tema. Se gostarem, posto mais depois.

1. Tennessee: I think the women of this great state are so fine. Plus they don’t go super crazy over their body image. Maybe come it’s because they come all in these wonderful shapes (hourglass, bbw, thick, athletic, busty and so on…). Also most aren’t consumed with making money their most important thing in life “I think it’s that mid-city life style”.

+When that accent comes in when they’re talking its really sexy.

+It’s equal with Republicans and Democratic.  

+Mostly a Christian states

+Nice mixture of country and city life.

-Country life could be a little slow sometimes.

2. Texas: If you haven’t ever ran into a Texan southern bell. Then you have missed out on something that’s got to be the most breathtaking thing ever. Thick accent, perfect shaped, softest of skin, lips are sinful, beautiful eyes and most of Texan women have a great mind set.

+So many great BBQ events to go to.

+The Republican party dominates 

+The girls in Dallas and Houston are simply beautiful. 

-+Houston is seen as the most obese city in the nation but I do not have a issue with that. You could be the judge of that. 

-George Bush home state

3. Washington: This one of my favorite states because you could find so many cougars and silver foxes. Every time I have gone there I have met some cougar and silver foxes. It seems like about half of the time they have wanted more then a sexual relationship. So if any of you guys ever wanted to date a mature woman then hit up Washington State. If you aren’t into cougars and silver foxes let me be the first to warn you. Most of the women from the ages of 19 to last 20’s could be a little weird, very liberal, creative and a little to green go. If you are into those kinds of things then you’d love them. Plus there is a huge tattoo thing going on in the major cities (not my cup of tea but you may like it).

+I think the weather is perfect. Great temperature to cuddle, kissing, making love, dance in the rain, photography and be part of nature.

+Lots of silver foxes and cougars

+You could find Microsoft and Starbucks headquarters.

+A very beautiful state

-Baseball team sucks

4. Massachusetts: What I love of this one state is that have one very rare thing there and they always have a good amount of them. What I’m talking is redheads and oh how I love me a redhead with an average shaped body Mmmmmm.  Plus you can’t go wrong bar hoppers then on Sunday they are watching the patriots “that’s sexy”.

+Irish people are people crazy funny.

+Business minded people.

+Cost of living isn’t that bad.

+The New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox are there.

-St. Patrick is not just a drinking day. There’s a real story behind the day and they take it serious.

5. Florida: I don’t know about you but I love Latinas from this state for one major reason. When they get mad at you and they start to speak in their native tongue. All I am thinking how I could throw her down or pick her up and have the craziest sex with her lol. If you ever heard women from Brazil, Puerto Rican, Colombian, Dominican and etc… then you understand what I’m talking. It’s sexy isn’t it..?

+There’s a lot of white and Latinas there.  

+A nice boat ride to Cuba or Jamaica.

+Lots of bikini’s lines.

-All the professional teams suck

-To be warn there are some really stupid laws.

-Money hungry women.

6. Alabama: These black women are a rare breed to me because they aren’t consumed with money, they rarely use bad words, very lady like and are very laid back. The first I went there the ones I came across were unlike the ones in California. I was shocked in a huge way. The women there made me rethink of dating black women because they want the more important things in life (such as love, family and a close good relationship).

+Cost of living very low is college grads if your making 45,000 here you are doing great for yourself.

+Low taxes. So go ahead and spend 1 to 200 dollars on a date.

+Fucking great food.

+Republicans run this

-I have a feeling interracial dating/marriage isn’t a okay thing here but I could be wrong.

-You maybe forced to go to church on Sunday. The game better not be on lol

7. Georgia: I fucking love the thought of this state. For every one male there are three women. How could anyone not like those odds? I won’t play any them but knowing my odds I’d really be more picky about how I choice to date because knowing I didn’t have about your ex that you are still hook up on “I hate that shit but it seems like ever girl has a story”. Behind all that I love the black women of this state because they have that perfect thickness to them and a good they have a nice face too.  

+If you’re a rap (I’m not) then it seems like most of the rap these day come from that area.

+ For every one male there are three women

+Great southern foods and desserts. Just think of thanksgiving Mmmmmm yummy

+Paula D. is there (food channel girl).

-A lot of baby momma shit. If you are a male and thinking of dating a woman with child. First off think about when that kid that kid gets in your way of doing something, if the father isn’t in the picture then maybe you shouldn’t meet the kid/s until you feel like she’s “the one” because that could really mess up a kid and last if the father isn’t  all that much involve but still there. Then good chance you may run into baby trouble.  

8. Utah: This isn’t the greatest to live or even have some crazy but there are some rare moments. It’s rare if you run into these pretty amazing women. Well I am talking about Mormon women in their college age is pretty much the only time you can catch them off guard. They have this kind of warm personality, blonde hair and sometimes (its rare) some come from an open family. Beyond like Mormon chicks for freaking sexy.

+Snowboarding is awesome.

+Independence Day, Footloose (because step up there was this amazing movie), Con Air (perfect), Windtakers and Sandlot were all based in Utah. I bet you didn’t know that.

+-They are very godly people.

-There isn’t any liquor of any type allowed in Salt Lake City. I’m not a drinker but still I’d try to break that law has as possible.

-No professional teams to watch and the college teams blow.

-Not really that open minded.

9. California: I know it weird that California is last but if you only knew of the women of this state. Then you wouldn’t question me. The women of California are fucking sexy without a question but it’s their personalities that got them in the tenth spot. Besides that if you could run into those real native Sol Cali girls then you’ve hit the gold because they have a fun personality, very laid back and girly girl. If you are into those kind of women that have that “personality to be like one of one of the guys” (where they go off roading with you and camp) then head inland. If you want ruff then head to Los Angeles country and you want very liberal/hippy chick then go to Northern Cali.

+Great surfing, good people, laid back and lots of mom & pop food places.

+Real Mexican and its so bomb.

+Never run into a real winter or fall. Average temperature is like 65 to 70.

-Great friendships could be sometimes hard to

Name: Jack Walters
Game: Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth

This guy, a Mr. Jack Walters, is a real smart man. There are times in the decent and underrated classic Shooter/Stealth Adventure game, Call of Cthulhu, in which I found myself thinking: “How the hell has he survived so far!” I’ll tell you how he survives until the game’s close. It’s simply because he is a brain-smart, no-nonsense, cynical, competent private detective, who ends up becoming the most knowledgeable person on the Cthulhu Mythos and the many horrors stemming from the tome that are scarily real and none too friendly with him. Thorough investigation of his surroundings, his skill with guns and sheer determination to get to the bottom of the Lovecraftian conspiracy that drives on at him, he makes it through thick and thin, in every challenge and obstacle that  is presented to him and that he has to overcome. He’s an intelligent guy, don’t underestimate him.

He may be small, but he packs a good psychic punch!

Name: Razputin
Game: Psychonauts

Razputin. If there was a name that couldn’t be more ambiguous in it’s actual meaning, relating to one of the world’s most successful sexual deviant, suspected vampire and professed psychic, then I don’t know what “ambiguous” means. Actually, I do, but let’s pretend I don’t. Anyway, this little psychic tiger is one of the more intriguing and interesting characters I’ve come across in ages. His meticulous crafting by the “eccentric” Tim Schafer as a computer game character paid off well. Razputin comes off as a quirky, inquisitive, bright and unashamedly enthusiastic and well-to-do kid, which in classic LucasArts adventure game style, leads him on a series of exciting adventures and escapades, to both find out more about him and the psychic powers within him and eventually unravel and stop the conspiracy that threatens all of his psychic kin and kind. What a good kid.

Name: Richard B. Riddick
Game: The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay

Riddick is one of the more mysterious characters in the darker realms of Sci-Fi and Horror. Trademarked for his assertive and constantly hard-line and antagonistic behaviour and stance on life, he is reputed throughout his universe, particularly in the prison systems, for being a murderous psychopath who is dangerous beyond belief- and a cold one at that too. This never always comes across, though, that he “is” that guy who could kill without a second thought- which he could, but let’s not dwell on that. Amazingly – and unsurprisingly, due to his fitness, finesse in combat and adept stealth moves, Riddick shows an admirable amount of cunning and intelligence when dealing with others, as well as an understanding of others that is rarely shown by others, allowing him to know when someone’s of use and when they’re nothing more than a new kill to add to his massive list. He could kill you quick, manipulate you easy; in fact, he’s a maverick almost. Don’t mess with him.

Name: Tommy Angelo
Game: Mafia

Angelo. Tommy Angelo. One of the more respected and renown made men in the Salieri family of New Heaven somewhere in New England. An honest man and hard-working, Mr. Angelo and Tom to his friends, is one of the shining members of the family and is a constant thorn in the backside to any of its enemies. He’s efficient, resourceful; a sharp guy and knows his stuff well. He’s also got ethics and morals, something that many gangsters of his era – being the 1930’s – had in very short supply. When it comes to it, Tommy can be ruthless, defending both himself and his close buddies in the family, Paulie and Sam, from the onslaught of whatever trouble they may have gotten into, even if it kind of was his fault to begin with. Tommy is also a man of honour, but an honour of a more civil kind rather than that of the Mafia code, meaning that when his orders become too questionable, he “faults” to keep himself higher than that of many of his associates. A family man, a businessman and a experienced veteran of what it is and takes to be a made man in the Mafia. Tommy is a character who is, quite possibly, an unforgettable character and a real Fella.

Name: Garret
Game: Thief

Garret, Garret, Garret. If there was a finer thief in all of The City, a person more “vileish” or “sly”, even someone more mysterious and shadowy, they still wouldn’t be able to compare themselves to the skill, mastery and personality that make up and encompass Garret. Garret is a guy who could get you almost anything and get it without anyone knowing he was there on a good day. Sometimes, though, good days don’t happen for Garret, meaning he always having to escape some taffer guard or creature in order to survive till the next night or week. As a thief by trade – and a master one at that: he even broke into a bank vault at one point – he has a great understanding of The City and how it operates at night and how to blend in and carry out his job in the shadows.

Even with all the mechanisms and clever little tricks he has at his disposal, he still has to work out things with a map and notes in order to get about and do his job- more than anything any other character can say about themselves. Always being confronted with an epic challenge of himself and his skills, putting himself in immense danger and just making enough to pay the rent to his landlord; Garret is a brilliant character and unashamedly witty. He’s an intelligent guy and pretty much has been and will always be wherever his adventures take him.
