Linus and I rode very slowly home, on the lake path, then I took the car to a repair shop. Then I had dinner and a Dragon’s Silk stout and fell asleep.

I wore the burgundy TopShop midi dress, my short Fluevog boots, and the black button-down overshirt. It was overcast and intermittently chilly, so I was pleased I had my Versa blazer.

May 13, 2013 – TopShop Shopping Event / 24 images

I’ve been in awe of Kate ever since I saw her film “Blue Crush” which carried me through my adolescent years after I pulled together my pocket monies and forked out for a £10 second-hand copy of the DVD. As much as I loved her care-free surfer life she lived, I was more in awe of her beach blonde hair and baby blue eyes – especially as I was going through a period of uncontrollable greasy brown hair and average coloured eyes. Even though the peroxide has been been replaced by a glossy caramel colour, Kate still ticks all the boxes for a natural beauty – who better to model the new Topshop line?

As the collection is put together by Kate and not actually designed by her, not only can we still enjoy Topshop’s student-friendly prices but we also get to imitate Kate’s summer wardrobe. All pieces are chosen by Kate meaning we can all look like the effortless beauty for at least a day. The collection consists of flower head bands, suede waistcoats and embroidered denim cut-offs, making our summer festival staple shopping done and dusted with a one-stop shop at Topshop.

Here’s a couple of pieces from the collection modelled by Kate herself. I’m particularly liking the white maxi skirt – probably not great for muddy festival grounds though.

I have been looking for a nice, floaty, silky cami for ages now and I found the perfect one in River Island for an astounding £12! That was full price as well! Now-a-days the standard price you pay for most tops is around the £30 mark. So as you can tell I am pretty pleased. I like simple elegant/classic pieces and then adorning them with statement jewellery, I am going to wear this top next Saturday for my Birthday night out with the new look necklace I recently bought. Don’t you just love it when  a plan comes together…

The Dress

This is my favourite part of the high-street look! It is in the style of like a gladiator princess which fits very closely to the one Millie is wearing. Also I love the detail on the bodice, its a piece that needs minimal accessories and could be quite versatile. I LOVE IT!

The Shoes

I don’t think I ever found a pair so similar to a stars shoes before. The high-street ones are from Topshop for £75.00, a bit pricey, but worth it as they are so versatile and could be worn wit every outfit. Another love of mine. These are a rachelspick must have!

Last year’s gala theme was “Shiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” – and we certainly had some interesting conversations triggered by the outfits that the stars wore that night.

This year, everyone was encouraged to PUNK IT UP as the theme was “Punk: Chaos to Couture”. Let’s look back at some of my favourites from last year and see if they have kept their titles (or if others have now outshone them!) and how they looked back in 2012.

It’s not hard to look stunning, especially if you are gorgeous like most of these Hollywood stars. However, it’s not always easy for them to look constantly cool and impress us with their personal styles – simply because most celebs work with different stylists and change them often.

The ones who have won us over with their impeccable taste in fashion and style are the real fashion icons, with personal ideas of what they like and what works for them… or they only ever work with one really good stylist! Haha!

Who is your all-time top style icon in Hollywood? Sarah Jessica Parker is definitely on my list.

其實我一直認為，作為好萊塢女星，要在red carpet上光鮮亮麗的出現並不難。強大的工作團隊，負責她們的穿衣、妆容，搭配等等。可是，誰才是真正有自己的風格的，那就要看她們幾年下來的次次亮相。

如果一直以來，某位明星的時尚敏銳度都非常高，讓你一直都有著深刻記憶，甚至是會去模仿的。那她真的自己本人，懂得自己喜歡甚麼並用心搭配。當然，也有可能她持續用著一個時尚打造團隊，或鍾情於一個造型師。

無論如何，我覺得我們都應該欽佩敢穿、敢嘗試新造型的明星們。畢竟，站在那里讓大家評頭論足不是那麼輕鬆的。

經過那麼多年，我一直認為Sarah Jessica Parker是非常有自我時尚風格，非常懂得穿著的女星。那你們心目中的時尚長青樹又是誰呢？
