Love him or hate him, the guy has done a lot for the sport of Cycling. He has certainly been the ‘poster-boy’ for quite sometime carrying the flame for the sport regardless; And lets face it, he was the best of all of the athletes of his generation doing the exact same thing. I think he is now being scapegoated for the whole lot which is defenitely wrong. Life-time ban for him but not his team mates because they were ‘bullied’. Grown men, ‘bullied’? Hmm, He admits to being a bully in the interview sure, he has to. But realistically, these people I’m sure didn’t take much persuading/forcing when the millions were rolling in. I cannot defend Lance Armstrong for what he has done, no one can, it’s on a level of it’s own, but you can be sure that what is happening to him now is something that should be shared amongst hundreds of pro Cyclists of that era.

Two Japanese riders in TDF 2009

There are two Japanese riders, Fumiyuki Beppu of skil shimano and Yukiya Arashiro of Bbox Bouygues Telecom, riding TDF this year. Apparently, no japanese rider has ever finished the tour. I hope one of these guys will reach Paris this year. Good Luck!!!

A French toy company “Norev” has been making 1/43 scale Tour de France vehicles and riders.. I would love to collect some of these very cute and obscure items for my shelf.
