With the help of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), increased support to assist the areas crippled by the floods has developed. In an effort to help our brothers and sisters in need, Melati Beach Resort and Spa and Chaweng Regent Beach Resort joined hands and donated a substantial amount to TAT’s Flood Relief Fund last week.

“We aim to support flood victims and help them to get back on their feet,” says Chief Operating Officer Michael Howard. “Through donations we can provide essential items and give some measure of comfort to people in their time of need. Help maintain some sense of normality as they look to rebuild their lives.”

After the devastating floods experienced in March and April this year, Koh Samui hoteliers including Melati and Chaweng Regent, are exceedingly sympathetic to the plight of all the victims in Central Thailand. While the floods are having some impact on tourism, most key tourist destinations and attractions throughout Thailand have not been gravely affected and almost all including Koh Samui, remain open.
