The Virtual Freakoes released their third single from their debut album “New In Town” yesterday and it’s a cover of Cinema Bizarre’s “toyZ”. Within a day, the music video is already a hit on YouTube and so is the song getting so many downloads on their PureVolume page and helping increase their previous singles’ downloads.

The boys said: “Wow, it’s finally released! It’s our last single this year! “ToyZ” is a song by Cinema Bizarre who we are big fans of! We recorded the song on December 28 and we shot the video the same day. Then, Miguel came back to the studio to record some vocals again and we started working on the video again. We think it’s really good and it shows the direction we want to follow in 2010 and; it is the concept of virtuality that we want.
With our first effort, “I Can’t Wait”, we were introducing ourselves. With “Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas”, it was simply us. And now, with “ToyZ”, it’s not only us, it’s more and we honestly can’t describe how. The song is a little bit over-produced and the video is artsy and has this GaGa vibe that we totally like!”

Pretty sure this is the car I’m thinking of. I shot it a while back at my cousin’s place. I think it had spacers in the back then though. I recognized the Mugen-ness of it and the color.

Not really sure why, but some of the nicely done cars were really dirty.

I thought this was pretty funny. The guy busted out a lamp for his car and ran an extension cable around it. I like to see the effort, but the cable kind of ruins the picture.

I absolutely loved this shot. Although the shot isn’t flawless, the urban feel of the scene of the composition and the editing gives off the feel of the mood.

I have an unexplainable obsession with the Little Prince. 

I first found him during a holiday in Japan with my sister.  We were walking in the snow, in search for the home-stay we booked ourself in, and accidentally bumped into The Little Prince Museum at Hakone.  Our decision to take a detour into the museum that afternoon changed my appreciation towards life completely.

Written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry during World War II,  The Little Prince is a book of love and compassion… in search for meaning deeper than skin, and appreciation for spirituality fading in the material world…

This is a book reminds me that each one of us are unique, have different perspectives and choices in life.  So, live a life that appreciate these differences and just love each other as they are.

I engaged a Personal Trainer to experience how it feels like paying someone to ‘torture’ me while create BEAUTIFUL Result  in mid-August.  After three months, I did a result check yesterday.  These are my results and the few stuff I learned with the engagement:

1. Weight Lost or Gain??.  I lost .4kg since August!… might as well attribute that to cleaner bowels before stepping on a machine yesterday.  This is one machine that measures Body Fat, BMI, Body Muscle Mass Analyzer… interesting.  According to the machine in August, I need to loss 2.9 kg from 51.4kg then.  Yesterday, the machine said I was weighting at 51kg, and needed to gain 2.2kg.  I am confused.  I guess it has to do with fat turning to muscle (muscle is heavier than fat), and now I need more muscle mass to hold up my body weight which has more muscle now.
2. Fat Percentages.  According to the machine, 25.5% of my body consist of fat last August  I needed to reduce that to 24%.  Yesterday, the machine shown that I have reduced that to 23%.   Yeah!… I just hope the fat reduced from strategic locations.
3. Toned & Firmed Triceps & Tummy:  Ok, though my tummy is flatter, I can manage more weight on resistance training for triceps, and I think my underarms are less flabby now, I am still not satisfied in these regions of my body.  These are two area I need to work on more.  My triceps at my arms are still weak compared to ideal strength.  I have been pushing heavy stuff with my legs whenever required, as the muscles at my thighs have the most power compared to any other muscles in my body.  Which means…  I might not bite but I kick butts.
4. Increased in Stamina & Strengths.  Definitely felt the increase with higher endurance to run on track miles, ability to sustain more reps with more weights and my heartbeats resume to normal speed  faster. 

This started out as in seek for life experience, but I am glad with the results. 

I also learned that:

1. Keeping fit and healthy include regular exercises and ensure all muscles have a chance to worked out, eat right with sufficient nutrient according to blood type, have sufficient sleeps, manage stress with healthy mental attitude. 
2. Find your personal motivation factors that bring you back to the gym frequently.  This might be beyond ‘I need to keep fit’.  My motivations have been, ‘I need to run and pump to get that stressful thoughts off my head!’, ‘It’s hair-wash day… let get sweaty before doing that!’, and at times, ‘I like the sexy butt of mine and gonna keep it’.
3. Jogging, running, swimming itself might not be enough… we need to ensure all region and muscles are worked out. On top of gym, one can achieve that at home with simple 7 lbs dumb-bells, and sweat it out with gardening, vacuum and mopping the floor in the house, scrubbing the toilets, hand-wash cloths (btw, my washing machine does that), running after kids (if you have the opportunity to).
4. Stretching is an important to relax for our muscles to avoid too much physical strain at specific region of our muscles.  Each one of us have different physical strain points according to our posture and the way we moves.  Yoga is one exercise that stretches and relaxes the muscles well, while calm our mind.

So, that’s it…. a full report of Beautiful Results..

A peine le temps de profiter des Be@rbricks SpongeBob de la série 18 qu’il faut déjà s’ambiancer pour acheter la série 19. Comme d’hab, beaucoup de déchets et de figurines inutiles, et un ou deux modèles vraiment cool.

Et pour cette série, c’est le Be@r Mr. Spock qui l’emporte, juste devant le Uglydoll orange et le robot marron. Même si j’en vois déjà me contredire à cause des oreilles rondes et non pointues du vulcain.

Une fois n’est pas coutume, soutenons nos toys designers nationaux talentueux comme Tizieu, qui livre enfin ses figurines Marcel et Jessica, singes kawaii d’environ 15cm de haut. Edité en deux couleurs (rouge pour la classique et noir pour la wild), le couple animalier mérite largement sa place au milieu de vos Be@rbrick, Orus ou autre Labbit. D’autant plus vu leur prix.

Même s’il est un génie incontesté en matière de design, j’ai du mal à comprendre l’engouement soudain pour Verner Panton (peut être un anniversaire ou une célébration dont je ne suis pas au courant). Toujours est-il que les objets dédiés au designer pullulent, et après la chaise miniature Panton en or, c’est une collection complète que propose l’équipe japonaise de Tomorrowland.

Composée d’un tapis, d’un ballon de foot, de tasses et de deux écharpes (en plus des Be@rbrick 100%), j’avoue qu’il faut être un fan inconditionnel de design d’intérieur pour trouver un quelconque intérêt et se ruer dessus. Bon, c’est mon cas, et alors?

Alors que plus personne ne l’espérait, “7th Seal” de Rakim sort enfin demain. Initialement prévu sur le label Aftermath de Dr.Dre, puis repoussé indéfiniment jusqu’à présent et distribué par un label du gouffre, l’album serait une grosse déception pour les plus illégaux d’entre nous l’ayant déjà écouté en MP3. En même temps, pouvait-il en être autrement après des années d’attente?

Et histoire de remotiver les gens et de faire de cette sortie un pseudo évènement, Zoo York propose une planche à l’effigie de Rakim en série limitée, designée par Dean Nicastro. Elle sera enfermée dans un coffret contenant également l’opus, et sera disponible en ligne et en shops à partir de mi-décembre. Absolument pas indispensable si vous voulez mon avis, et bien loin de l’image de Rakim.

Parce qu’on a tous un peu les boules d’avoir raté la première série de skates Supreme designés par Damien Hirst, la marque la plus cool du moment édite 5 nouvelles planches en collaboration avec l’anglais le plus riche de Bristol (juste devant Banksy).

Recouvertes de points de couleur de taille différente d’un côté et de symboles évocateurs de l’autre, les planches sont signées par l’artiste et devraient sortir incessament sous peu. Et comme toujours, si vous n’êtes pas au début de la file d’attente devant le shop le jour de leur sortie, n’espérez même pas mettre la main dessus à un prix décent.

On va pas se mentir, les Be@rbrick Dark Vador et Storm Trooper (vendus ensemble dans un pack prévu pour novembre) ne sont pas les figurines les plus ressemblantes et les plus stylées au monde, surement à cause de la forme caractéristique du bear.

Mais bon, en tant que fan de Star Wars et collectionneur de toyz qui s’est déjà fait avoir en achetant le 400% SpongeBob (rigolo mais pas le plus ressemblant non plus), il y a de très grandes chances pour que l’histoire se répète et que je craque encore une fois. Sauf si le pack n’est disponible qu’en version 100%, parce que maintenant yen a marre des toyz minuscules.

Certainement le Be@rbrick le plus cher jamais commercialisé par Medicom, le 1000% (environ 70cm de haut) réalisé pour fêter les 9 ans du magazine japonais Sense est entièrement recouvert d’acier et sera disponible ici pour 40 000 euros environ, à partir du 24 octobre.

Et forcément, deux remarques me viennent en tête: j’aimerai bien savoir s’il porte bien son nom et si sa côte va exploser sur le marché noir de la revente de toyz (le flip pour les connaisseurs), et ça donne presque envie d’acheter les 1000% Daft Punk à 1 200 euros en ayant l’impression d’avoir fait une bonne affaire.

Si vous avez raté sa conférence dimanche dernier lors du Salon de la Photo et son passage dans “Ce soir (ou jamais)” sur France 3 hier soir, ou que vous n’avez pas fait un tour du côté de l’Ile Saint Louis depuis le 3 octobre pour voir son impressionnante exposition (qui commence à se détruire à cause des intempéries et des gens), ce n’est plus la peine de venir sur ce blog.

Parce que JR est le photographe le plus côté de sa génération et fait partie des artistes qui vont marquer leur époque, que son projet “28mm – Women are Heroes” est tout simplement monstrueux tant au niveau du message que de sa concrétisation, et que pour couronner le tout, il a seulement 26 ans et il est super cool en vrai.

Et je ne dis pas ça parce qu’on vient de m’offrir une litho de 95×55cm de la Favela “Morro da Providencia“. Même si à un jour près, je la faisais dédicacer. J’ai envie de pleurer.

Uff años que no actualizaba, si bien tengo pensado en hacer como un recuento de los conciertos más significativos (que yo pienso) que se han dado, aquí en Venezuela -y desafortunadamente no fui xD-.

En esta ocasión, escribo para adular un poco sobre este grupo alemán: Cinema Bizarre.  Si bien en una oportunidad les escribí acerca de ellos y puse bien claro que no quería ningún tipo de discusión infantil diciendo que Tokio Hotel era mejor que Cinema Bizarre y viceversa.

Ahora, en un gran período de inactividad, veo que ambos grupo ya mencionados están teniendo nuevas producciones discograficas y sobre todo el grupo de otakus . Para empezar, hace tiempo me enteré por vía Myspace que iban a hacer un tour con la polémica y carismática cantante Lady Gaga para así lanzarse e intentar concretarse en la madre de todos los comercialismos: Estados Unidos (el que me diga que este país no vende lo comercial, está bien equivocado); la primera impresión que tuve fue un poco de sorpresa y no la sorpresa agradable, sino como la de asustado, ¿Por qué?, porque todo lo extranjero que viene a buscar oportunidades allá se atrofia y se pone completamente superficial; y eso para un músico es terriblemente malo.

Es más, si me permiten un pequeño espacio: me asusté, porque desde que Bill Kaulitz se cambió su look de “leoncito” a las “rastas”, ya vi que el grupo estaba perdiendo un poco su escencia, me sigue gustando, pero admito que tanto comercialismo me decepcionó bastante y bueno, realmente no quería decepcionarme de Cinema Bizarre de igual manera.

En fin, continuando, estuve un tiempo en el limbo, donde no sé, estaba muy desmotivada por asuntos personales y simplemente no les seguí más el rastro; hasta ahorita que veo que ya sacaron su nuevo CD, sacaron la idea de hacer un CB TV y que su primer video oficial ha sido todo un éxito. Cuando digo “éxito”, me refiero no solo a las fans enloquecidas por la nueva música xD, sino que me puse escuchar “I came 2 party” y mi prima me dijo que sonaba demasiado genial, tanto así que cuando fue a utilizar la pc estaba buscando la canción como loca… eso para mí, ya es un éxito.

Lo que más me gusta de todo lo nuevo de Cinema Bizarre, es que no hicieron un gran cambio dentro de su estilo, se siguen manteniendo. Eso sí es lo verdaderamente importante en un artista y más en un músico.

Y bueno, se que la mayoría de sus fans ya deben saber, pero como tradicionalmente hago aquí, pongo un video sobre el video “I came 2 party” más unas palabras de Lady Gaga
