Just like to welcome basically everyone home to New York City. It’s so great that everyone is back.

Also like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! whether it’s getting fatten up with a real turkey or soy sauce chicken.

HOUSTON — Tracy McGrady returned to practice with the Houston Rockets for the first time since microfracture surgery in February yesterday, but the seven-time all-star still doesn’t know when he’ll play.

McGrady said he can play now, but Rockets coach Rick Adelman has said he’s not ready. Adelman missed practice yesterday to attend to a personal matter. Assistant coach Elston Turner said: “It’s a process” to get McGrady back.

McGrady was set to undergo an MRI on his surgically repaired left knee yesterday which he says is “irrelevant,” but that the team wants to review any decision on his return.

Some bookstore cum cafe at Keong Saik St: Mr Tong just walked right into this unknown little haven. We had a normal everyday chat about life, he’s just awesome that way. The food is modest and reasonably priced. Gonna hunt it down again! 

At 3pm we moved to casualpoet cafe. It was their last day of operations and it would be closed down indefinitely for renovation and re-branding. The rundown rathole on the 3rd floor of a shophouse quickly won me over with its rustic charm. The love and attention showered from the owners was palpable in every single detail, from the hammered together shelves to the artfully placed sketches and posters…and the whopping LCD TV.

Pretty soon we were settled down, plugged in and mugging there as if we had done so for our whole lives. I only wish I had dropped by sooner to read their collection of novels and listen to their eclectic mix of music, while sipping coffee. C’est la vie!

I got the calm vibes and mugging was fairly successful. It helped that a year 4 cs senior was singing while her guy friend strummed the guitar. Jin was there and so were two other seniors Jia Min and Tracy who *drumroll………* happen to be from Chung Cheng too!!! Such a small world! Meeting cchms ppl is always so exciting…

And how could I forget supper….with Xiao Ken! Ok fine Kenneth my favourite OG senior attached. We went to Simpang and he told me all about how he smoked ____ and his many other adventures. Le sigh…one thing stuck, he said Year 2 Sem 2 is gonna fly by and pretty soon Professional Internship would come knocking. By then I’d better be clear and source for my own PI or else! And he said I’m too nice, is that a bad thing? I don’t think so =) for one I get to hang out with cool/crappy seniors like him.

So – are you wondering how you could write a Christian novel with a Biblical worldview? Yeah, me too….

When Waterbrook offered to send me a copy of Thirsty by Tracey Bateman so that I could read and review it, I agreed out of curiosity. How could you possibly mix the topics of vampires and faith while still attempting to keep reality in the picture?

Well, my props to Tracey Bateman!

Overview: Nina Parker returns to her old hometown in the Ozark hills of Missouri. As a recovering alcoholic, estranged from her daughter and filled with angst over past mistakes, she is seeking to start life again – this time sober. Little does she know, a 250-something year old vampire is living in the town.

Let the reader beware – there is a good deal of blood, gore and occult influences woven throughout this book. It’s not for the squeamish nor should it be perceived as a “everything comes out perfect” novel.

Those things said, I actually found the book rather intriguing. I don’t think I’ll start checking out other vampire books, but this presented a balance of fantasy with a solid Christian faith perspective. If vampire books are your thing or you like those types of programs, I would suggest you try this book. The characters have an honest, simple faith and I think you will enjoy it.

Last night was a record breaker of sorts. Prior to last night, the most number of Queens I’ve actively engaged in the same day was three. One in the morning, one around midday and into the afternoon, and one who spent the night.

Last night, I had six.

It was Cagney’s party, and she knew that I was bringing my girlfriend Mai. Haha. She even went up to my girlfriend and introduced herself. Bu Cagney’s cool, so it turned out okay. But then, Gail showed up.

Now Cagney knows about my girlfriend, but not vice versa. And neither of them know about Gail. Gail certainly doesn’t know about them. So it was all shaping up to be a very sticky situation.

I sent my girlfriend ahead to the car, said goodbye to Cagney, and copped a feel off of Gail’s ass. It was a trip!

And all the while, I had Tracy and Queenie texting me like there was no tomorrow, and Andrea practically begging me to call her.

I feel ten feet tall.

So I went to a blogging class given by one of my favorite authors, Hollis Gillespie, and Michael Alvear and it was a lot of fun. One of the suggestions was to upload a video of yourself so readers can get to know you better. So here’s the wonderfully weird Tracy and a helium balloon. Seriously, just give me a balloon and I’m entertained. I’m very simple like that.

“That’s rubbish, I could do that!” Lets face it, we’ve all heard some wiseguy crack that comment out at some point, whether the art was on tv, in the newspaper, or even in the gallery. What these people don’t understand is that behind every piece which looks simple to produce, the mental aptitude and creativity necessary, few possess.

I do appreciate that some work, even for artists, is quite simply rubbish, and im not denying that. What I am highlighting here is that the boldness to stand up, create something, and have it displayed, is not a quality that many people hold. And if these people who believe that they could create a replica of a work in terms of style and application, they tend to be the ones that don’t ever pick up a pencil and use some creativity. There is normally a concept behind the artists portfolio/exhibition/piece which is not obvious to the untrained eye.

The great thing about art is that everyone can do it, whether other people like your work or not. The late Sir Terry frost once said, “I think that everybody should do art and everybody can do it and that it’s good for the soul. You can cure all kinds of aches and pains with painting – therapeutically it’s marvellous” I couldn’t agree more. Not just physically, but mentally, the form of healing art provides cannot be found anywhere else. You can lose yourself in a work, and afterwards either you, or others can gain pleasure from it. True some may not like it, but is it not worth it for the few that do appreciate it?

Art is not about creating for others, but about creating for yourself – for a whole range of reasons.

11.17.09 Enhanced Time Management Techniques

I really like Tracy. She’s a real classy, woman – the kind who pairs real diamonds and jeans. Also, she’s married, but she flirts with me seemingly without remorse.

We’ve been carrying on this online kind of flirting for some time now. Ever since I realized she was following me on twitter. I suppose it flattered her that I had a huge crush on her even while I was banging her 22 year-old former colleague. Many times during our early conversations, I came this close to telling her that I would fantasize about her during those times that I was fucking her  erstwhile office mate.

I bet she knew that was where my stories were headed, and she was probably just dreading me actually coming out and saying it, but I know better than that, man. Haha. So I never did say it out loud. Just insinuations and broad hints all around.

So that was how it started, I’m guessing. A kind of ego-trip maybe. Whatever, right? The point was, she was hooked on the idea. And the truth is, I do want to get in her pants. Or, more precisely, I want to get at her breasts.

Today may have brought some forward movement towards that goal. She’s agreed to spend the night with me somewhere far from here. With the proviso that I bring her back the following day for a family weekend. Needless to say, that got my attention.

Sex is 3/4ths mental, I always say. And the idea that I get to pork her for the first time, the night before she goes on a wholesome family vacation with her husband and kids … man, I tell you, I’m getting hard just writing about it now.

And she’s coming to me this week too. Making the trek all the way from where she works to where I work to bring me stuff. I hope I can cop a feel when she comes. Maybe start getting her used to idea that I want her sex.

Hmmm. Sounds like a plan.

So, I’m going to be making a book for my Photo 40 class, and I went to practice shooting some action shots at my skatepark in Tracy, El Pescadero Skate Park. It’s not well-built, but it’s cool to see how people have adjusted to the terrible set-up. People pull off some cool things. But first, here’s my first sequence shot (like in skate mags)! It’s kinda’ messy, but I did it for practice. Take a gander at mah pics!

"Jo" one of the El Pescadero elite skaters was trying to pull off a crooked grind, I think, but he couldn't nail it. My shot ended up with some amazing composition and contrast, though, with some awesomely low sun.

This is Austin, a good skater friend of mine's lil' bro. He used to skate a lot, but switched to scootin'. This was a random shot of his shoe. He's also featured in my sequence shot.

They call him "Niggle". He gets SO. MUCH. AIR. I want to shoot him again soon.

Skyler Mueller, Austin's older brother. I don't remember what trick this was, but it was crazy.
