Missed an early probable breakdown from price formation. Waited for next better opportunity to hop on.

Short on a rejection down from Resistance. Price dropped fast and went down below swiftly. Took partial profits and closed out trade towards 11pm SGT. Trade done in 30mins, real fast!

Prices that the trade was done on the charting platform. TP1 30%, TP2 30%, TP3 20%, Closed @ Breakeven 20%.
Initial trade was testing the entry but I was cool with it hovering near my entry. Managed to take TP3 near the bottom, coincidence and intuition.

Now the price is back into the 5062. Shall watch for reaction at this region if buyers set in, for a test of the high over here.

Was a short biased trade as the price has crashed into the 5062 of the selldown since Osama’s termination. Expecting more sellers to come in and buyers easing off their Long that has consolidated for quite some time (sideways market).

Intended to hold the sell lower, as the price shows that it should have 1 more leg downwards to hit a more prominent price for buyers to be interested. The 62fib on M15 chart is promising as it is the ‘closed-price’ of a chart pattern. However the price came up strong and took my Breakeven stop as I had to leave the desk to spectate the Soccer game between Malaysia & Singapore (not an excuse or to condemn for more profits left on the table).

RRR roughly 1 : 1.5.

Charting Platform

Think this Silver trade is worth reviewing on WordPress, not particularly in love with Silver(previous review was on Silver too).

Biased LONG from the Price behaviour showing early into Monday. The day has been quiet and slow, as usual for most Mondays, with very little news reporting resulting in lesser participation.

Took a LONG sad on the retest of the breakout point around $40.60, which was Daily R1 Pivot. However it was cut when the price seems to not have momentum. Took a little loss on my protective stop at $40.54 thereabout..

After exiting, the chart showed a sign of bullish strength and wants to go higher. Enter again with stop at $40.54 thereabout. As shown, price began to have a vested interest to bid it higher. Took 30% off at $40.72 thereabout, a likely spot to find offers immediately.

Took 20% off at $40.88 thereabout, failed to realise the psyche level at $41.00 and took this slightly late. Thus ending up at $40.88.
Took another 20% at $40.93 thereabout after it got slapped down from the 50 back of a broader downmove.
Left the rest to be shut on trail stop.

Was waiting for an opportunity to sell on a test higher, that resulted in the Long Bear Bar engulfing a big range. Then waited to enter on a Sell on a retracement upwards, but found the price to be spiky(long hairy legs) from lower liquidity(maybe?) and waited.

RRR 1:2, not bad a trade. 3 points.

The upper picture attached shows the LIVE execution(Down arrow) on my platform and various Profit-Taking with an UP Arrow. Squares are the pending orders planted. 1 pending order was cancelled as it failed to realise a Sell.

Shorted the Spot Silver with a bearish candle formation indication a lack of interest to push higher above the Asia High at $39.35. Took it on a break low with stops slightly above the $39.95(red line in 1st picture).

Bears came tumbling down the hill and flushed sell-stops accumulated since late last night to early day. Selling momo(momentum) was strong. Took 50% off close to $39.00, psyche price level and where price held up previously.

Took more profits as it came close to yesterday’s low at 38.60s and holding above the DM3 pivot. It was over 5pm, thought might need to stay prudent for reversals coming in at support.

After closing, price persisted in selling and reached the 79 fib on the higher timeframe.
Was premature at closing the trade, making it a RRR of 1 : 1.5.

The Story: Madame Xanadu tries to do what little good she can, from Camelot, to the court of Kublai Khan, to revolutionary France, to 1880s London, to 1920s New York; but it always comes with mixed results.  And there’s always that pesky Phantom Stranger to deal with….

The Good: Wow, what a trade.  Ten issues long, this is a big book that’s ‘s really a series of two-issue arcs (each in a different time period) that end in a massive change in the series’ status quo; and it feels nothing short of epic.  Not a single page is wasted, either.  There isn’t any treading of water and Wagner’s jumping from time period to time period with equal amounts of ease (and no doubt a gratuitous amount of research) is truly impressive, essentially making this a series of period pieces in the DC Universe that effortlessly incorporates a bevy of historical figures.  Any one of the five time periods here could’ve been the basis for an entire ongoing series.  The scope of the book comes to enormous, but never overwhelming thanks to the cycle of repetition that Wagner shows Xanadu and the Stranger to be hopelessly locked in.  Best of all, the ending of the trade feels natural, grand, and conclusive, which is what you want out of a trade’s ending, not a cliffhanger.

The relationship between Xanadu and the Stranger really is the meat of the book. It’s a highly complex relationship that evolves from lover, to enemy, to source of tragedy. Yet despite this fluidity, the beauty is that much like Xanadu and the Stranger’s existences, the relationship is really just a cycle that continually repeats the same pattern.  A tremendously pained yet beautiful relationship, it’s one of the best in comics.  Best of all is the difference in morality that comes to seperate the two; it’s just so damned hard to side with either one, as neither is wholly right or wrong.  At the very least, the reader will oscillate between Xanadu and the Stranger. I myself spent much of the book on Xanadu’s side, but ended the book on that of the Stranger.

Lastly, Amy Reeder Hadley’s art is fantastic and the woman deserves every Eisner nomination she’s had tossed her way. It’s vibrant, joyful, and full of life. Hadley’s style manages to successfully make use of a Japanese influence, but while that anime/manga feel is definitely there, it’s never overwhelming. Rather, Hadley takes elements of it to create a unique art style, rather than just whole-hog draw a manga. What comes out is not a Japanese-styled book, but rather a look that is all her own.

What’s Not So Good: I don’t say this often, but while this trade was fantastic, I did get the feeling that the series works better in single issue format. Jumping from time period to time period, it just feels a little too compressed when it’s all between the same two covers. This somewhat hampers the Phantom Stranger appearances; it becomes much more obvious that he’s showing up in every single issue when you’re not having to wait a month between Xanadu fixes. As a result, the Stranger’s appearances almost feel too frequent.

Conclusion: A tremendous value for your dollar, fantastic art, and an epic feel make this a trade, and a series, worth checking out.
