I love when stuff is in-my-face karma! This has happened very recently and beyond, and is still manifesting after an introduction last year. Both of these are biz related and about being totally letting go of competitiveness, that is, going with the philosophy that “there’s enough to go around”- which is in total harmony with “abundance” theories.
So here is the telling:)
Tonight I gave a talk in a local bookshop in Long Island (that is now carrying my newly published book, SOAR! with Resilience: www.balanceandpower.com/soarwithresilience.php) to a well attended group of singles- organized by a singles event planner who won my raffle for a complimentary coaching session at a well attended networking venue…
2) at the beginning of the year, a colleague, who I invited to collaborate with me in LI Head Start trainings at a Staff Development-Conference venue “passed” me on to a CUNY(City University of NY) rep. I am currently doing trainings and have had advance group sales of my book for courses.

All good! What goes around comes around:)

Kevin and I conducted the first ‘Close The Week Out BIG!’ training this morning. While we’re still a little rough around the edges, we are definitely improving. I think we’ll all look back at these first trainings someday and say, ‘remember when…’

Anyway, you can go to https://student.gototraining.com/48lp3/recording/3993069213512031488 to view the recording of the training. I also posted the link on www.aseaeducation.com in case you forget. You should always keep www.aseaeducation.com in the back of your mind as that’s an easy name to remember for any calls/webinars you miss.

Also, don’t forget about the training tomorrow morning (Sat, 12/12/2009) at 10:00AM PST. It will be on How to Launch Your ASEA Business. Go to www.aseawebinars.com to register!

I was literally falling asleep as I was writing this, so please forgive any errors. ——

I was literally falling asleep as I was writing this, so please forgive any errors.

—————–

I might have to keep this email short because I’m falling asleep between sentences. <3 I keep waking up because Michael (the guy from London) is snoring.

Today was great. I didn’t leave the house nearly early enough. I was supposed to meet up with Zach but we didn’t have any way of contacting each other unless we were both on gchat at the same time. he left without me and I forgot to get the address for where I needed to go. I ended up wandering around until someone called me asking where I was at and gave me the intersection where I was headed. It’s so hard to remember street names when I cant even come close to pronouncing them.

The place we were headed was the Conference of Youth 5 (COY5). I went to a workshop and learned about using my time effectively at COP15. It was really helpful.

Went to another training on media/press releases.

Met an Irish guy on my way to lunch. Chated for a bit. Eat some vegan sandwiches. Went to the Bella Center (where the COp15 negotiations are actually happening) to pick up our passes ahead of time. They didn’t have us in the system and told us to cme back tomorrow. One trip on the public transit system costs like $6. It’s crazy. Our delegate pass to the negotiations gives us free access to public transit for 2 weeks which is awesome

Went to the library to work on my paper for a couple hours. Didn’t make much progress.

Went back to the YMCA where COY5 was so we could have a CCN meeting. Only 6 of us were there. Everyone else had either just gotten in or wasn’t here yet. There will be 15 of us by the end.

We found a cafe to have our meeting at. We were so delirious. I can’t even explain how silly we were. I laughed myself to tears every couple minutes. It took us two hours to do what we could’ve done in 15 minutes. It was glorious.

Then we went to a greek restaurant for dinner. Got an appetizer because everything else was so expensive. Stayed there for ages talking about climate, justice, equity, policy, and just philosophy in general. it was perfcct

Walked home with Zach. After he split off and I was like 5 blocks from my house, I challenged myself to get there without a map. I took side streets and random pathways between buildings and ended up taking the absolute shortest route to the house. It was gratifying.

Got another day of COY tomorrow. I’m going to try to be there for more of it instead of running off to write my paper. I want to actually meet people and figure out what is going on at COP

Then COP starts on Monday. Except they spend the first 3 days gradstanding and giving long speeches about their positions. So I might use that time to finish off the paper that I haven’t started yet.

I finally got confirmation about the extension until Monday.

I’m still clueless as to what our goals as a group are and how I’ll be helping anything during COP. I”m sure I’ll figure it out though.
There’s a constant low level anxiety when you’re in a new place. Using the currency, finding streets, ordering at restaurants,. These are a few of the things that contribute to that sense of stress/anxiety. it’s a good though. It keeps me going.
