Using dishes and packages which after the use it is possible without obstacles to drop off at present much a little more often is met than investing in large amounts objects of repeated use. Disposable packages are finding application in the household, in the culinary industry, in the tourism that means everywhere where he/she often occurs putting into something the food, small elements, objects which they are dirtying are needed and on that account they cannot be kept without the cover and many different things. Exactly a gastronomy most often uses benefits disposable packages offer which. Packages are needed in order to keep food products of different kind in them without loss of their taste and aromatic properties as well as the tasty appearance. A connection with the expanding number of points, in which it is possible quickly has the popularity of packages made of plastics or paper to consume something or to order the take-away. Food products are often passed on disposable plates, drinks – in disposable small mugs, and for helping oneself with eating a plastic cutlery is good. So smaller or bigger small mugs which can be transparent or matte are most often among such packets white, at least are also happening colourful or equipped with the logo of the restaurant or the bar. Plates are appearing in a whole range of sizes and colours, plastic it is possible after the wear and tear to throw away, paper to crumple up, also a popularity of packages made of edible materials grows. After finishing the meal a plate is also being eaten. The disposable cutlery is made from plastics which are guaranteeing the right stiffness and the endurance. Disposable packages are also bags, bags, boxes, serving trays – into not packed there are foods by which it is possible it to be consumed outside the restaurant or the bar.

“Put a unique spin on this, throw it out there so it can grow legs, get some traction and go viral. I want a footprint!”

I woke in a cold sweat.

Words and phrases that should be killed are sprouting faster than zombies in a George A.Romero film. They’re more persistent than sallow vampires in the twilight. I can’t stop thinking about them though some say I’m anal (props to Freud for that evergreen). Others have likened our kind to being word police, but I consider us mavericks. No, wait. The paunchy maverick slid back to the Senate and unleashed The Rogue.

Yikes! I step back from that since the first definition of “rogue” in dictionary.com is “a dishonest, knavish person; a scoundrel.” Hmm. Well, I guess it’s safe to call yourself a rogue if you know your audience never uses a dictionary.

Actually, I’m just a guy who loves the language, respects the creative use of it and dislikes lazy use of language, especially among “educated” professionals. I’m just giving you a heads-up that.

Really, I’m being totally transparent.

The phrase making the sales rep rounds is “reaching out.” Several, from different parts of the country have used that on me, always beginning, “Dennis, I’d like to reach out and see how our company can help you.”

Well, friend, it’s like this: if I’m drowning, I really want you to reach out and help me. However, if your goal is to fill inventory, get the manager off your back and boost your commission, a simple media kit will do. If it looks like your station is a good fit, I’ll reach out to you.

And then you know what we’ll do? We’ll have a conversation!

Actually I’ve heard this in higher ed more than in the media. It usually begins with a problem (masked as “a challenge”) between two people or parties who disagree (have “different goals”) and the path to a solution is to have one of these conversations. Conversation implies civility which means you can’t raise your voice or even let your face get red from rising blood pressure.

“Conversations” are bland, mishmashes of buzzwords that suffocate our ancient instincts to reach out and kill the opponent.

Hey, I’m just sayin’. . . .

****

( I’ve had a lot of feedback from readers. I’m thinking of setting up a separate page with all three posts and everyone’s contributions. So please send me the words and phrases that drive you nuts.)

Note: Thanks to the guys over at Target x who picked up on our shared love of language and continued the, umm, conversation.

Not long ago I had a very interesting conversation via TweetChat with someone who is excellent at on

Not long ago I had a very interesting conversation via TweetChat with someone who is excellent at one thing, Branding. We talked about how many of us bloggers have a unique online persona, one we share with the “world” as it may and one that may be different than our random everyday personality. Good or bad, it does happen and if you do it right, this may just help you to succeed in the craziness of the online social media world.

From the feedback I received I realized that this idea is hardly new. Since the dawn of Hollywood and before, people have been using their public image to enhance their brand. I may not be a movie star, but many of the same techniques still apply. As a PR person, I learned many of these tricks and tips in school and thought I would now share them with you. So here is just a quick refresher on how to use your online identity (public persona) to help solidify your brand.

1. How important is a name? If you make a point to use your full name in all of your online interactions, that’s great…but remember that not everyone will agree and using your real name can inadvertently create enemies. As long as you remain thick skinned, this should be alright though. Another important thing to remember – if you use your name, all of your revelations whether they are professional or a rant against an insane boss are all linked to you. This can come back to bite you so if you choose to use your real name….be aware of the consequences that come with it. It is a good idea to go ahead and purchase your own domain while you’re at it. (oh and if you are curious…Google yourself and see what comes up – apparently I am an exotic dancer/stripper in Texas….who knew?)

2. According to Erik Qualman (@equalman) the author of the incredibly awesome book, “Socialnomics” , if you choose to develop your online brand based on a singular persona, (real or not) it is very important to have a singular image across all of your social media outlets. This may be a logo or even a picture. I really had no idea that one image could be that important, and then I felt silly since this is one of the first things hammered into your head in all advertising and marketing classes. We are a visual species, and more than remembering what is written, we will remember an image whether it is on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, FriendFeed or a blog. Therefore, pick an icon/image/photo that truly represents your brand and use it across the web. Soon, those who are interested in you and what you stand for will begin to read your online responses, or notice your “ads” simply because they see your icon, regardless if they are actually interested in the topic of the blog post or article.

3. No matter how “big” you become online, remember that you have a life…in the real world. When approached or contacted to speak, give presentations, be a guest-poster etc, remember that you are representing both your online persona (the person/brand the world is familiar with through your blog) and you as a person. If there is too much of a gap then your brand awareness could become tarnished. No one wants to feel they have been lied too or led on. While this may seem contradictory, one of the main things I have learned is that although I have deveoped a brand through my work online, I am still me and that is the person that I want people to respect.

Have thoughts? Has your personal brand ever interfered with your personal (off-line) life? Please feel free to share.

’till next time!

Michael asks: Thanks so much for posting your technique, I am currently working on my first painting

Michael asks:

Thanks so much for posting your technique, I am currently working on my first painting and have been doing exactly what you’ve done here. i think i did do something wrong though, a friend of mine said to do a light wash over the entire piece ,but I think it just confused me. Anyhow , why do you not put more detail in the underpainting, are you modeling further with your glazes?

I’m not sure what the light wash is for, either. I’m assuming you’re using acrylic paints, which dry to a hard finish and so allow you to paint a wash on top of them. I use gouache, and a wash would scrub off whatever was painted underneath. So, I start my paintings with washes and build up to opaque brushstrokes. A wash is paint made transparent by adding water. A glaze is paint made transparent by adding a medium—for acrylic, glazing medium; for oil paint, linseed oil and varnish—or glazing medium.

I do an underpainting to block in and organize big areas of light and dark. I long ago found out it’s too complicated for me to figure out light and dark and color all at the same time. There’s no point in me putting lots of detail in the underpainting, because I’m only going to paint the same details on top with opaque paint. In fact, to discourage myself from getting into details while underpainting, I use an oversized brush.

Here’s a step-by-step example of how I build up from an underpainting. This is a continuation of a previous post, What do I paint first?

Hello! Today, I will show you how to make Transparent Bricks.

Making Transparent Bricks is the first step into making complex building mechanics, such as ” fog “, and Windows…

First, you need a brick.

Make sure to change materials on the brick to plastic or it will not be visible unless Transparency is 1!

Secondly…

Go to Tools, Select View, and Select Properties.

After this, in Properties, find Appearance, and find Transparency.

Edit Transparency to whatever you like.

Tips :

If the Transparency is 0, then the brick is solid colors.

If the Transparency is 1, then the brick is invisible. :3

0.5 Is part Solid, part Transparent. Good for windows, and sometimes water.

Thank you, and have a great building time!

If you are using Flash CS4 to draw transparent graphics and intend to use them in photoshop later, think twice there is a problem here. Some time Flash CS4 adds some black edges similar to matte edges in GIF, even if you select PNG 24-bit with Alpha Channel. This problem got introduced in Flash CS4, hope Adobe fix it soon. any way solution of this issue seems to be simple, but it’s a work around.

First break apart all text in your graphic, remember to break apart text completely you have to break apart twice. try exporting now, most of the cases this should solve your problems, if not then go ahead and break apart symbols in your graphic. exporting now will give to smooth edged PNG. But by breaking symbols to shapes will often you loose shape arrangements, things behind can come forward, or thing front can go backward. To avoid this situation before breaking apart select all elements in your graphics and “Distribute to Layers” Ctrl+Shift+D, should do that, by doing so every shape, element will get a layer for them selves, breaking apart now will not loose arrangements.

The glass bottomed boats are one of the main attractions in Lakshadweep especially in the lagoons in Agatti. It is an amazing experience to ride on a glass bottomed boat where one can see beautiful and vibrant fishes swimming underneath their feet. The rich marine life of Lakshadweep cannot be enjoyed without the transparent world beneath. It helps people who cannot engage in water sports like Scuba diving and snorkeling yet still sit and enjoy the marine life.

Many who read this will understands this concept. The concept that we are a three part being.

You are a spirit.

You have a soul- which is your mind, will and emotions

You live in a body.

Hebrews 4:12 12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Your spirit is supposed to be the King. Your soul is supposed to be the servant. Your body is supposed to be the slave.

The problem with many Christians is that the order is all switched around. And choices are made with the soul as king instead of the spirit as king. In the scripture Hebrews 4:12 it talks about being the division of all three areas. The only way this doesn’t get all muddy inside is when the word of God lives in you enough that when you come up against situations, circumstances, and choices the spirit of God is loud enough in you that the soul is not able to convince you that it should make the decisions based on what the flesh desires. Because it’s not what we think, its not what we feel, it’s supposed to be what God says about our situations, our circumstances, and the decisions we have to make. It’s our spirit man that reminds us of God’s word when we come up to the issues of life.

But if we allow ourselves to become apathetic in our pursuit of God and the word isn’t living vibrant on the inside then what’s The Holy Spirit going to remind us of, last weeks football game? Our own thoughts and desires will then take over instead.

Proverbs 15:14 A wise person is hungry for truth, while the fool feeds on trash.

Every one of us are hungry… the question is what for? Some are hungry for entertainment, some for sex, some for sports, some for fun, some for knowledge, some for power, some for promotion in a job or career, and the list goes on I’m sure.

Whatever you are hungry for you will seek out to have. I don’t know about you but sometimes when I am hungry I have a certain craving, I want a certain restaurant or type of food and no matter what anyone says, I am not satisfied unless I get that type of food. If we seek more for the things of that come from our own desires than the things of the spirit, how then do we expect to do all things through Christ who strengthens us?

Matthew 6:33 NIV
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Let’s look at a conversation in Matthew 16 between Jesus and Peter.

Matthew 16:15-17 MSG 15He pressed them, “And how about you? Who do you say I am?” 16Simon Peter said, “You’re the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”17Jesus came back, “God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn’t get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.

How do you think Peter got the understanding that Jesus was the son of God? The father revealed this to him. Why? Because he had spent time with Jesus. It wasn’t revealed to Peter the first instance that he met Jesus. It was after time had been spent with Jesus.

Our relationship with God is described as a marriage. That the church is the bride of Christ. I am married to the most beautiful woman in the world Jessica. I love her. But no matter how much I do for her, how many gifts I buy her, how many times I tell her that I love her, even if those things are her love language, nothing will ever replace spending time with her.

NOTHING REPLACES TIME! With our friends, with anyone we care about… IT’S TIME!!!

God cares about each of us so much and what he really wants more than he wants you to do things for him, is time with him.

Today’s blog I want to give you one of four stages on the road of time.

T- Transparency – def. admitting light so that images and objects can be clearly viewed; easy to understand.

John 12:44-46 44Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are really trusting God who sent me. 45For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. 46I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the darkness.

God desires that in us there would be no hidden rooms but that every part of our lives would be illuminated with the light of his power, that our relationship with him would be transparent.

A lot of us want to live what I call Window Tinted Christianity. When a car first comes out the windows are sparkling clear and the light shines in very easily. The first thing we often want to do is tint the windows so the light and no one else can see inside.

Transparency is a choice that each of us have to make. God can’t make that one for us. He knows everything anyway but he will often times not begin working in an area of our life until we fully open up our heart to being transparent. If we have trouble being transparent with an ever merciful God how will we learn to be transparent with a husband or wife, a son or daughter, or even close friends. We have to learn to become more transparent. With God, someone we view as an authority in our lives, and those friends who we will allow to challenge us in our own personal growth.

become transparent,
