Os americanos do Blink 182 devem lançar um disco de inéditas em 2010, isso foi o que deu a entender o baixista e vocalista do trio, Mark Hoppus, em sua página no twitter.

Nesse fim de semana o baixista disse que a banda deve voltar aos estúdios em janeiro de 2010, depois de 6 anos sem lançar um álbum de inéditas. “Ouvindo demos. Devo produzir algumas coisas antes de entrar em estúdio com o Blink 182 em janeiro”, disse Hoppus.

Além de Hoppus, a banda é formada pelo guitarrista Tom DeLonge e pelo excelente baterista Travis Barker. O trio que no começo era só mais uma banda do new punk dos anos 90, com o tempo evoluíram e seus dois últimos álbuns são excelentes.

O Blink 182 ficou longe dos palcos por 4 anos, mas retornaram esse ano com uma turnê junto com o Fall Out Boy.

The Job: Employment, sweet employment! Ruby Tuesday hired me (YAY!), though not to fold napkins while I watch TV in the back. I’ll be serving and hosting up to six shifts a week, keeping busy and making money.  Tomorrow I start my internship too — social media marketing at a Baltimore firm. The Gym: You know it’s good. I’ll stop talking about it incessantly

The Living Situation: I could complain about the lack of heat in our house, or the fact that our family dog could care less about me, but let’s focus on the positive — Christmas decorations! I know it’s early, but Christmas makes me happy, and I do what I want! So I broke out the Christmas music mix and Christmas-flavored candles while I hung up lights around my bed and fluffed my pink & silver mini-trees. My room is a happy place now.

The Social Life: Last night I got some much needed girl time with one of my best friends, G.  It sounds ridiculous, but sometimes I forget that she’s so close to me — she’s hardly a mile down the road, but we’re both busy chicas. A night of movies, mixed drinks, and stories always feels good though, and it reminds me that it needs to happen more often. Get ready for stories once we hit up the local high school reunion bar.

Song of the week: More Travis Barker — this time, The Transplants.  You know their one song “Diamonds and Guns” from the Garnier Fructis commercials.  It’s awesome, high-energy punk, amazing for workouts, and perfect inspiration for drum lessons that start tomorrow! EEP!

Show of the week: Still obsessed with Dexter! Dad and I just finished season one tonight — I never saw the end coming, but it was perfect.  Although, for the record, never watch movies or TV with my dad.  He’s got this uncanny ability to jokingly throw out spoilers five minutes in, and they come true! Thank goodness when he predicted the secret of the Ice Truck Killer episodes ago, I had forgotten by tonight.  I’m SO ready for season two!

A legendás pop punk zenekar több évnyi szünet után, idén februárban a Los Angeles-i Grammy-díj átadón jelentette be, hogy újra összeállnak. Akkor még csak egy nagy nyári turnésorozatról volt szó, azóta azonban egy új Blink lemez is a tervek között szerepelt. Hoppus nemrég számolt be róla, hogy jó néhány demót rögzítettek Tom DeLong-al és Travis Barkerrel közösen, így jócskán lesz miből válogatni a stúdiózás során.

Drake’s remix of “Forever” is one of the hottest songs in hip-hop. Not only is the up and coming Toronto emcee on top of his game on the track, it also features Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne and Eminem. As far as hip-hop is concerned, it doesn’t get much bigger — but now Travis Barker decided to grab the sticks and remix this one.

I generally think Barker is a turd and annoying, but he killed it on this remix. Mad props to him on this one, it’s very, very, very dope.

Para los seguidores de esta banda que en su tiempo dio mucho que hablar, sabréis que uno de los motivos por el que se disolvió fue porque uno de los integrantes quiso desligarse. Éste creo otro grupo bajo el nombre de “Angels and Airwaves”, que por cierto, por si os interesa, las canciones son del mismo estilo y tienen canciones muy recomendables. Escuchar esta canción que es muy bonita: Breathe.

Pero bueno, la noticia y lo novedoso está en que Blink 182 van a dar que hablar. ¿Por qué? ¡¡Porque vuelven!! Para aquellos fans que echaban de menos su música, sus directos y sus historias, que sepan que van a poder a disfrutar de todo eso en breves.

No se sabe la fecha concreta de su retorno, si sacarán o no nuevo disco o en cambio, lazan un CD con los grandes éxitos. Pero lo que sí se puede confirmar es que retoman la banda con el objetivo de alcanzar los éxitos que tuvieron en sus mejores épocas. No hay fecha concreta, ni mes concreto. Ellos mismo lo confirmaron el año pasado mientras transcurría la gala de los Grammys. Sabréis que el batería Travis Barker tuvo un accidente de avión. Pues este ha sido uno de los motivos por el cual han reflexionado y han tomado esta decisión. Están preparando una gira para este verano así que permanecer atentos que poco a poco os iré informando de todo lo que se anuncie. En su página Web encontraréis cómo anuncia su retorno tan esperado.
