So being home again means more blog posts, hooray! I stopped at Xtreme-Adrenaline on my through Regina the other night and Eldon passed along a copy of the new Snowboard Canada Women’s Annual to me (Thanks Eldon! ) and I’ve got to say I was super impressed by this issue compared to the past ones. There wasn’t a huge change in the amount of content or the appearance or anything, what impressed me was the actual article ideas and most notably the Step Up section. You might recall me whining about the problem’s with women’s snowboarding a while back with my post Good for a Girl. The inspiration behind that post was the SBC women’s annual trick tip, which was a 50-50 on to a rail. In this issue the trick tip (Step Up)  is a Cab 540! Hooray! Finally a trick that brings us a little bit closer to the level of trick tips that the men are always getting. Jess Kimura is the “teacher” in this one, and it’s pretty much perfect… thanks SBC for giving us something awesome this time around, I love it!

Another one of my favourite articles in the new mag is called “Defining Style.” It takes a look at the riding style of five female shredders in five different photos. Cheryl Maas, Marie-France Roy, Laura Hadar, Hana Beaman, and Desiree Melancon are all the ladies featured in this one. I really liked the idea of this one because in snowboarding your riding style is just so important. If you have a messy or sketchy style it will come through in shots or in video parts and make you look like you have no idea what you’re doing. I can think of a million examples of bad styles that I’ve seen over the years, there are lots of girls that are good riders but they just have bad style and it makes them look out of control all the time. If you don’t know what I’m talking about go watch some female video parts (think la la land, ro sham bo, or stance) and you’ll definitely be able to see the difference between the riders who are really solid and have good style and the riders who are definitely talented but are lacking in the style department. For example, when you see a shot of MFR or Laura Hadar you don’t need to see a name to tell who the rider is. Their style shows through in the shot right away! Okay anyways enough of that rant for now…

Do you all remember this? Switch the Movie, for some reason it’s all over the internet again. Maybe it’s actually coming out this time? Chris Brown is in it, FYI. I remember Zach showing me this like two years ago, and I wanted to see it sooo bad but then it just disappeared… I was actually wondering about it a few weeks ago… anyone know the story behind this? I heard that it’s got new producers, and it’s coming out this year sometime. Rumour or truth?

Rome’s 2009/10 website dropped today, and, as expected, there are posts on websites and blogs across the Internet to back up this fact.

“Well, why the hell are you posting about it too?”  is the thought that’s probably crossing your mind right now.

In the new ShredTV section, Rome has released a series of video Trick Tips to get you thinking about some of the things you may want to try yourself this season. A bunch of these videos feature French-Canadian rail assassins Will Lavigne and LNP, and that is the Canadian connection I’m using to spin this story.

Trick tips are surfing’s editorial equivalent to throwing in the towel. You see them in all the surf mags and all over the web. Has anyone ever learned a damned thing from Kalani Robb explaining how to do a floater or Taj Burrow talking about how to do an air reverse? I worked for a dot com at the turn of the Millennium. One day we had a meeting with one of the VP’s and he was adamant about including more trick trips on the site. “We need more trick tips,” he said while adjusting the waistband on his Dockers. “That’s what the kids want.”

Today, I’ve decided to throw in the towel.

The bottom turn is a standard maneuver that sets up practically every other maneuver in your arsenal. Some might prefer the “backside,” but the frontside can be a tricky beast and equally rewarding. First make sure your “stick” has plenty of wax on it. Things can and will get slippery. You don’t want to experience one of those dog-in-the-bathtub catastrophes. When paddling, I prefer to kick my legs like a wild bronco at a rodeo to give an extra burst.  Now dive in with all your might.

After you get up, rotate your weight and dip your inside shoulder. When you see that section begin to peel a bit…go for broke. Make sure you shift your hips in a thrusting motion, but not too hard. Be gentle. You want to start slowly, build up a rhythm near the lip and crescendo and just the right moment. When in doubt remember; the more you practice, the better you will get.

Hari gini memang sudah gak zaman menggunakan software yang trial, Tuhan menciptakan sesuatu dengan segala kesempurnaannya. Oleh karena itu, dimana ada software trial disitu diciptakan free serial number buat un-lock software serial tersebut. Salah satu software serial number yaitu Serial 2000 dan Serial 2005. Yang bagus yang mana? Mari kita bandingkan.

Dari segi tampilan memang “agak” asyik, tapi berat uyzm dilihat dari segi kepraktisannya software ini parah. Mesti install, di pilih main database nya, walah pokoknya ribet. Software ini bisa di unduh disini dan updateannya disini.

Pernahkah Anda mengalami masalah dengan komputer anda ? nggak tau sebab musabab-nya tiba-tiba komputer nggak bisa masuk ke windows dan perlu segera di install ulang. Install ulang windows adalah salah satu cara jitu yang dapat kita gunakan untuk mengembalikan windows ke kondisi paling “normal” selain install ulang misalnya dengan memperbaiki registry windows. Namun sekali lagi kadang saya begitu malas hanya untuk memperbaiki windows yang rusak karena bagi saya memperbaiki windows yang error tuh lebih susah dari pada meng-install ulang windows, jadi pilihan saya jatuh kepada jurus install ulang sebagai solusi ampuh dan cepat untuk memperbaiki windows yang rusak atau erorr. Salah satu syarat agar lebih mudah dan “nyaman” dalam melakukan install ulang windows adalah punya backup driver semua hardware yang terpasang di komputer, bisa dalam bentuk CD dari vendor hardware tersebut atau bisa juga dengan file back-up yang kita buat sendiri. Driver adalah sebuah software atau aplikasi yang digunakan untuk menjalankan sebuah perangkat keras ( Hardware ) sebagai contoh misalnya ketika membeli sebuah printer, selain mendapatkan printer, kabel dan nomer handphone SPG yg cantik kita juga akan mendapatkan sebuah CD (compact disc ) yang berisi file driver dari printer tersebut. Karena tanpa driver sebuah perangkat / hardware nggak akan di “anggap” dan dikenali oleh sinstem operasi windows sehingga hardware atau perangkat tersebut tidak dapat digunakan. Kekurangan kita sebagai manusia adalah lupa, sehingga kadang atau sering kita lupa untuk menyimpan CD driver yang diberi oleh Vendor hardware karena bagi kita lebih penting untuk menyimpan koleksi CD panas uncensorred Maria Ozawa alias Miyabi daripada menyimpan CD driver tersebut he..he… Salah satu cara untuk untuk mem-backup Driver yang ter-install di windows adalah dengan menggunakan Driver Magician Lite , yaitu sebuah aplikasi gratis yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari dan mem-back up driver-driver yang terinstall di windows. Ketika menjalankan Driver Magician Lite aplikasi back up driver tersebut akan melakukan scanning dan searching terhadap semua driver yang ter-install di komputer sehingga akan memudahkan jika kita tidak pernah tahu driver apa saja yang ter-install di komputer. Back up driver adalah sebuah keharusan bagi semua orang yang merasa memiliki komputer, karena kita tidak akan pernah tahu kapan windows akan bermasalah dan butuh di install ulang. Seperti pengalaman gwa yang selalu menunda-nunda proses back-up, tiba-tiba dua hari yang lalu kompie gwa bermasalah dan butuh install ulang so mau nggak mau gwa harus membongkar-bongkar koleksi CD gwa hanya untuk mencari CD driver VGA card, untung masih ketemu karena terselimpit diantara koleksi CD Film miyabi yang udah lama nggak pernah gwa tonton lagi he…he… coba kalo misalnya CD driver tersebut nggak ketemu pasti akan lebih repot lagi. Untuk menggunakan aplikasi backup driver ini sangat mudah, Cukup lakukan proses instalasi kemudian jalankan program tersebut, maka proses pencarian driver akan segera dilakukan secara otomatis. Klik tombol select untuk mem-backup semua driver setelah itu klik tombol Start agar program segera memulai proses back-up driver tersebut. Jika proses back up driver sudah selesai selanjutnya simpan hasil back up tersebut di folder yang kita inginkan ( kalo bisa selain di drive C: ). Dengan memiliki back up dari driver hardware di komputer, setidaknya kita bisa sedikit lebih tenang karena tidak akan repot mencari-cari CD driver jika sewaktu-waktu kita membutuhkan driver tersebut, asalkan file driver yang kita simpan tidak terhapus atau sengaja kita hapus he..he..
