I’m so dumb.

Okay, and yes, I bring it upon myself.

I hate it when I start to like people. I hate to admit it, too, but I’m a smidgeon of a hopeless romantic. And my imagination is way too out of proportion.

Therefore, if I tend to feel the least bit like swooning over someone, it avalanches until I’m sitting here in a cloud of daydreams.

Do you understand how much time this wastes?!

So, to crystallize my mind once more and focus it on the numerous tasks at hand, I feel like I have to take action in order for me to stop thinking sillly thoughts.

And, I tried to. But it’s not working yet and I don’t know if phone-checking just wasn’t his priority today, or what. Who knows? I don’t know!

Another note on the way I seem to function: I may or may not freak out if I go out on a limb and there’s no response. Just a flatline there? Well, there I go, freaking out.

Not that I’m freaking out. Because I’m not.

It’s just, this is a weird situation. Like, really weird. And I never, never imagined it would be my scenario.

All the things I told KT last year (warning her against younger boys, be careful when you talk to them, they might get ideas) are coming back to haunt me. The advice I tried to provide, cautioning against getting involved with a boy two years younger? Ha.

I want this one to get the idea, and I don’t know if he has or not. And I’m trying to take my own advice and ignore the fact that I never freak out about boys unless I like them. And with my current schedule and relentless desire to daydream, it is not the best idea to get involved with anyone. Let alone to like them! How dumb of me!

So I keep telling myself, “Don’t do it.”

But I’m not listening. And I think I’ve already gone ahead anyway.

It’s like Irony’s slithered right back around and given me a bite in the ass.

So. This is just freakin’ awesome.

And in case you couldn’t tell that that was loaded with sarcasm, I’ll be honest here and say, I like lying to myself.

I have been so clumsy these past few days. Yesterday morning, I slammed my elbow into the door frame and it hurt all day long. Last night when I was on my way home, I hit my knee on an armrest in the bus and now it’s got a big blue bulb and it hurts all the time… sigh. Last night I saw what is going on. My period is coming. Yay! /sarcasm. So NOT my fave time of the month. I’m emotional, tired, annoyed and sad. I was those things already from all the drama with MM, now it will get even worse with my hormones in the way…

Well, it’s time for some positive things:

1. Snyggig told me today, that I am so nice again. I said, again? Yeah, you weren’t so nice for a while. Now you’re sweet again. Oh, ok… thanks, I think…
2. the Boss wants to smoke with me all the time and discuss things. He’s missing his little pet E. who moved to some warm and fabulous country, so now he’s turning to me. I’m actually ok with it. I spoke my mind to him today, said that I thought something he had forgotten to do was pretty stupid. He agreed.
3. I complimented a colleague with something he had done. He’s the one who talked bad about me behind my back. I massively exaggerated by giving him a compliment, the only thing he did was that he put some data in the system the correct way. He always refuses to put data in the system and tries to put it on my plate, while it’s not my job to do it. So I sarcastically e-mailed, wow, you did it on your own?! He replied with a giggle, which I liked.

Hmm what else to say about this day… I had a good meeting with the shrink. I’m getting a little bit nervous because we got only two meetings left, but I am noticing some slight changes now. The whole timing is a bit shit, I am in the middle of a big crisis with MM and at work, and now she’s trying to teach me to think positive. After that, I had an interview at a job agency. I don’t think anything will come from it though, it wasn’t very promising. I had another interview with a job agency in the morning but I cancelled it. Seems so useless.

When I am sitting here alone, listening to music, all my thoughts go to MM. I am so annoyed with even thinking about it. I haven’t solved the money issue yet. Should I send him the money yes or no? To his home or his work? My shrink said it would be a good way to close the whole thing, as long as that is the real reason, and not to get his attention. I am not so sure about my reasons actually. I have had some daydreams, fantasies about confronting him. Turning up somewhere, ‘run into’ him… so my reasons might be the wrong ones. D. is going to bring me the money this weekend, so I have still some time to think it over. I’m leaning towards sending it in a registered letter to his home, it seems less intruding than to send it to his office. I can’t be sure that a secretary or receptionist won’t open the letter. I open all the mail at work, no matter who it’s addressed to. On the other hand, it would also be drama if his wife would open it… oh god why am I even making a problem of this?! He’s the married man with the affair. He enjoyed the good things, now he will have to take the bad too. I will send it to his house, too bad for him if his wife opens it. Screw him.

Sigh. I have to go to bed. I hope I can manage to stop my mind from spinning.

I’ve been in situations in my lifetime  where I tried and tried and tried.  Spent seconds, minutes, hours and days trying and it still didn’t make a difference.  Have you ever been there?  Worked on a project, but didn’t think about all the inputs and outputs.  It’s all about the plan.  The word ‘wisdom’ plays out this way:  the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight. I know that I’ve acted without all of the above in place. Totally lacking the essence of wisdom.  I ran and didn’t test out the walk first.  I walked and didn’t test out the ground first.  Needless to say, I fell through the ice and got wet, many times almost drowned.  I know that if I would have thought first, taken some time to really think and then acted or not — the outcome would have been different.  This lesson isn’t brain science.  The entire outlook is to look first, think about the situation, ask yourself what the outcome is probable to be and then make a decision from the information that your brain has given you. Many times we don’t take the time to ask anything, we just do…smiles, sue:)
