If you’re getting the impression, as I am, that it doesn’t matter how much “dirt” the media throws his way, that Barack Obama, The Chosen One, is destined to become president of the United States, your impression is correct. And here’s why –

If your ship is sinking and you suddenly find yourself in shark-infested waters, the last thing on your mind is the personal history of the person throwing you a life-jacket. Your survival instincts tell you to just grab the jacket, save yourself, and ask questions later, if at all.

Americans know their economic ship is sinking. They are losing their jobs, their homes, their life savings. More importantly, they are losing faith in themselves and in the ability of our country to solve this crisis.

The Democratic Party, represented by Barack Obama, is offering the life-jacket that many Americans believe will save them. The specifics policies aren’t important; voter perception that Obama has the life-jacket and John McCain doesn’t, is what really matters. 

For over a year, revelations about Barack Obama’s relationships with various people and organizations have raised serious concerns among many of us. Now, with just a month before the election, even as the accusations of poor judgment and questionable associations escalate, the American voter just doesn’t seem to care. They are preoccupied with their own survival.

Here are some of the Obama scandals they seem willing to ignore.

The Racist Connection –

For over a year, revelations about the people in Barack Obama’s past have raised concerns among many of us. First we had Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s long-time friend and pastor. Wright, you will recall, is the minister who proclaimed after 9/11 that “America’s chickens have come home to roost.”

What was most troubling about the Wright connection was the anti-white rage that poured from his sermons. Obama at first tried to pretend he didn’t know about Wright’s anti-American, anti-white views. Fact is, he sat in the pews of that church for 20 years and never saw fit to contradict his pastor until he was forced to do so.

The Voter Fraud Connection –

Barack Obama’s connection to ACORN — the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now — is now being more fully explored in the mainstream media. ACORN’s reputation is that of an aggressive, pro-Obama organization that has been frequently linked to voter fraud.

Just this week an ACORN office in Las Vegas, Nevada, was raided by state authorities.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews. com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN. The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

“Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev. Secretary of State Ross Miller said the fraudulent registrations included forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team.”

According to Brian Faughnan, writing for the Weekly Standard, Barack Obama formerly represented ACORN and taught classes for their future leaders. While he served on the Board of Directors of the Woods Foundation, that group received about $200,000 from ACORN. When he began his presidential run, Obama paid ACORN more than $800,000 to help ‘Get Out the Vote’–although it was not originally reported that way to the FEC.

The Terrorist Connection –

The most recent revelation about Barack Obama’s past concerns his connection to William Ayers, a former member of the terrorist organization, the Weather Underground, which was responsible for numerous bombings and other violent acts against U.S. targets. Ayers, who is now a professor in Obama’s hometown of Chicago, has expressed regret — not for his terrorist acts, but because he did not do more damage.

As with Rev. Wright and ACORN, the Obama campaign has tried to minimize senator’s relationship with Ayers, saying that Obama was eight years old when Ayers and his co-terrorist wife, Bernadine Dohrn, committed the worst of their activities. That much is true. But Obama has had a long-standing relationship as an adult, communty activist and politician with both Ayers and Dohrn.

Here’s how CNN describes Obama’s connection to Ayers:

The relationship between Obama and Ayers went deeper, ran longer and was more political than Obama — and his surrogates — have revealed, documents and interviews show. A review of board minutes and records by CNN show Obama crossed paths repeatedly with Ayers at board meetings of the Annenberg Challenge Project. The Annenberg Foundation gave the project a $50 million grant to match local private funds to improve schools, and Ayers fought to bring the grant to Chicago, according to participants and project records.

According to CNN, the project’s organizing committee asked Obama to serve as the board chairman in 1995. While working on the Annenberg project, Obama and Ayers also served together on a second charitable foundation, the Woods Fund. It was that foundation that Obama referenced in the debate — not the Annenberg Challenge.

Among Wood Foundation recipients were the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church, where Obama attended and was married; and the Children and Family Justice Center, where Ayers’ wife Dohrn was director.

For Obama, the chairmanship of the $100 million Annenberg board helped vault him from a South Side lawyer to political player. And there, too, is an Ayers connection.

In 1995, months after the little-known Obama became Annenberg chairman, state Sen. Alice Palmer introduced the young lawyer as her political heir apparent. The introduction was made over coffee at the home of Ayers and Dohrn. Two people who attended the event told CNN the introduction of Obama included a solicitation for campaign funds.

It is clear that Obama’s connection to Ayers is far more significant than the campaigns has been willing to admit. Let’s be clear about this: what Ayers and Dohrn did as members of the Weather Underground is precisely the type of terrorist activity that this country has been attempting to prevent since the Al-Qaeda attack on 9/11.

Numerous Obama critics have tried to make a false connection between Obama and overseas Muslim extremists. They don’t have to go that far. Obama’s support came from terrorists right in our own back yard.

In the best of times, the weight of Obama’s questionable connections to a racist like Wright, a terrorist like Ayers, and a fraudulent organization like ACORN, would have doomed his candidacy. But these are quickly becoming the worst of times, and Americans want to be rescued from the economic threats that are closing in around them. With the sharks getting closer, Obama’s relationships with Wright, Ayers, and ACORN diminish in significance.

The American people just want to be saved.

(CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama on Sunday charged that Sen. John McCain’s campaign is launching “Swift boat-style attacks” on him instead of addressing the country’s problems.

“Sen. McCain and his operatives are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance. They’d rather try to tear our campaign down than lift this country up,” Obama said at an event in Asheville, North Carolina.

“That’s what you do when you’re out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time,” he said.

The comments come a day after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain’s running mate, claimed that Obama associated “with terrorists who targeted our own country.”

“The last four weeks of this election will be about whether the American people are willing to turn our economy and national security over to Barack Obama, a man with little record, questionable judgment, and ties to radical figures like unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers,” McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said in a statement.

“Americans need to ask themselves if they’ve ever befriended an unrepentant terrorist, or had a convicted felon help them buy their house — because those aren’t smears, those are true facts about Barack Obama.”

The back-and-forth comes during a weekend of intensified attacks. The McCain campaign has said that it plans to step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

Palin on Saturday slammed Obama’s association with former anti-war radical Bill Ayers and accused Obama of associating “with terrorists who targeted their own country.”

Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan called Palin’s comments “offensive” and “not surprising” given the McCain campaign’s statement that “they would be launching Swift boat-like attacks in hopes of deflecting attention from the nation’s economic ills.”

The term “Swift boat” refers to how Swift Boat Veterans for Truth launched attacks against Sen. John Kerry in the 2004 presidential race. Kerry was criticized for not quickly condemning the personal ads.

In a new ad that begins airing Monday, the Obama campaign calls the new McCain campaign attacks a “dishonest, dishonorable assault on Barack Obama”.

The ad tries to paint McCain as “erratic” and “out of touch,” quotes taken from newspaper editorials.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, said she found Palin’s attack on Obama “shocking.”

The Statement: Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin said Saturday, October 4, that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is “someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”

The Facts: In making the charge at a fund-raising event in Englewood, Colorado, and a rally in Carson, California, Palin was referring at least in part to William Ayers, a 1960s radical. In both appearances, Palin cited a front-page article in Saturday’s New York Times detailing the working relationship between Obama and Ayers.

In the 1960s, Ayers was a founding member of the radical Weather Underground group that carried out a string of bombings of federal buildings, including the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, in protest against the Vietnam War. The now-defunct group was labeled a “domestic terrorist group” by the FBI, and Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn — also a Weather Underground member — spent 10 years as fugitives in the 1970s. Federal charges against them were dropped due to FBI misconduct in gathering evidence against them, and they resurfaced in 1980. Both Ayers and Dohrn ultimately became university professors in Chicago, with Ayers, 63, now an education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Obama’s Chicago home is in the same neighborhood where Ayers and Dohrn live. Beginning in 1995, Ayers and Obama worked with the non-profit Chicago Annenberg Challenge on a huge school improvement project. [...] Also from 1999 through 2001 both were board members on the Woods Fund, a charitable foundation that gave money to various causes, including the Trinity United Church that Obama attended and Northwestern University Law Schools’ Children and Family Justice Center, where Dohrn worked.

CNN’s review of project records found nothing to suggest anything inappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told CNN that after meeting Obama through the Annenberg project, Ayers hosted a campaign event for him that same year when then-Illinois state Sen. Alice Palmer, who planned to run for Congress, introduced the young community organizer as her chosen successor. LaBolt also said the two have not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Obama came to the U.S. Senate in 2005 and last met more than a year ago when they encountered each other on the street in their Hyde Park neighborhood.

The McCain campaign did not respond Saturday to a request for elaboration on Palin’s use of the plural “terrorists.”

Verdict: False. There is no indication that Ayers and Obama are now “palling around,” or that they have had an ongoing relationship in the past three years. Also, there is nothing to suggest that Ayers is now involved in terrorist activity or that other Obama associates are.

Senator Barack Obama called Reverend Jeremiah Wright his pastor for twenty years.

He claims the Wright on these clips, is not the Wright he knew.

Snubbing the Black media does not seem a likely thing for Senator Barack Obama to have done during the presidential primary.  But it appears he did in April 2008.  The Reverend James Manning of Atlah Worldwide and Betty Pleasant at Media Channel, reviewed the issue, and had quite a bit to say.

Oprah Winfrey became successful, in large part, through White women.  Yet she threw her support behind Barack Obama.

In advertising for his candidacy,

Senator Barack Hussein Obama is supported by a billionaire named George Soros, who founded an organization named MoveOn.org…  Move On organization has now thrown its ugly left-wing support wholeheartedly behind Barack Hussein Obama, pouring nearly $200 million into the pockets of Barack Hussein Obama and in advertising to support his candidacy.  He spent nearly all of that money with white agencies, white hotels,  white businesses, white newspapers, and very little, if any, was spent with black television or black radio.

Barack Hussein Obama played and pimped Warren Ballantine, Michael Baisden, Russ Parr, Roland Martin, and Tavis Smiley, just to name a few.  They gave it up for free.  He pimped nearly all of the black media, gave them no money, but they gave it up for free. I say unto you that they were played by the master player.  Now, this trinity of hell: the Father, the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright; the Son, the Senator Barack Hussein Obama; and the whore girl, Oprah Winfrey.  These three, now, they are looking to be the president, the vice president, and the secretary of state.

Funny how the former African American pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago found time to be involved in an extramarital affair, circa post retirement from his head pastor job at the church.  Sometime around February 2008 into the spring, the birds and the bees got busy.   Well now, one might not think this is so shocking in this day and age, EXCEPT,

He is a preacher.  He is married.  The liaison was with a WHITE woman.  AND she was married.  AND became divorced as a result.  AND unemployed.

New York Post noted,

Elizabeth Payne, 37, said she had a steamy sexual affair with the controversial, racially divisive man of the cloth while she was an executive assistant at a church headed by a popular Wright protégé.  [She spent a significant amount of time with Wright while setting up public appearances for him.]

When word of the unholy alliance got out, Payne’s husband dumped her, and she was canned from the plum job at Friendship-West Baptist Church, she told The Post.

She refused to reveal when the adulterous affair started or how she met Wright.

“Liz was by Rev. Wright’s side day and night during those days,” a church source said.

Fox News noted,

According to Payne’s estranged husband, Fred Payne, 64, Wright e-mailed Elizabeth Payne and told her he was going to leave his wife, Ramah, for her.

Wright married Ramah more than 20 years ago after he unsuccessfully provided marriage counseling for her and her former husband. [The other affair.]

Fred Payne said members of the church, including Haynes, would not be pleased about the interracial aspect of the relationship.

“People wouldn’t be happy to know that my wife was sleeping with a black man,” he said.

So much could be tossed out there about this revelation.   Time to cavort while visiting Dallas on business.   With the executive secretary of a long term buddy’s church.    Feigning work as an excuse while entertaining extra-maritally; yet, carrying on God’s work on the side of the main extracurricular event.  Those little commandments that talk about covet-ting neighbors things, or committing adultery.  Yeah,  stuff like that.

No wonder Barack Obama ran away as fast as possible from Wright in the spring time.  Maybe he sensed something else was amiss, something else he couldn’t quite put his finger on or say.  Forget about those 20 years of incendiary sermons on America’s deserving the 9/11 attacks, chickens coming home to roost, HIV invented by American government, G-d Damn America, U.S. of KKK, etc., that Obama sat (or slept) through!  Obama’s selection of Wright as his mentor certainly makes one question Obama’s judgment, eh!?!

Let’s hope The Church Man and The Church Lady have asked forgiveness for their sins by now.  And the wounds of those caught in the middle, on their way through the healing process.

If you have not heard the whole story about Governor Palin and her daughter’s pregnancy, then you definitely have to pick up a newspaper, turn on the television, or jump on the internet.  It is important that you understand what is happening to understand the contrast.

I personally do not give a flying super secret squirrel’s swooshy tail if this young woman is pregnant.  That is exclusively her family’s business; not mine, not yours, not anybody’s.  This does reinforce a point that has been giving me a chill up my spine ever since the Reverend Jeremiah Wright story broke at the beginning of the year, and one of the most important reasons why I cannot and will not vote for Barack Obama.   I have seen a few folks on the blogs comment about this but I have not seen a post about this progression of thought in the blogosphere and it is just one more of those brain candy morsels.

The liberal left keeps hammering on Governor Palin as being Pro-Life and very anti-Abortion.  She and her family stand by their belief system; decide to “walk the talk” and keep this baby.  Two days after Governor Palin is introduced as Senator McCain’s running mate, she comes out and announces this incredibly personal family business in response to the liberal left blogs smearing her, her daughter, her husband and her entire family.  I wonder how much spine one must have to do what Governor Palin just did? According to some of the press stories I have read, this baby is an “open secret” in Alaska.  The Alaskans do not seem to be up in arms about it, and I personally think that people need to pull their heads out of the sand.  It is 2008 already; life happens; go with it.  June Cleaver; I am not.

Now I know you are probably sitting there scratching your heads wondering “Tigger, where are you going with this?”  We already know that unless a person is seriously drinking the koolaid, the general public does not believe that Obama did not know what Jeremiah Wright was preaching at Trinity United.  That is a given.  We all know that Gumby has no spine or he would not have waffled around for a month deciding what to do about Rev. Wright.  Another given.  What you may not have thought about is this.

Senator Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama took their two young daughters to this church.

I think I am going to let that sink in a bit.

Perhaps Barack Obama’s repudiation of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright was insignificant for either one of them.  Reverend Wright and Barack Obama’s friendship now appears resurrected.  Reverend Wright has come out of retirement to continue to profess his admiration and support of Barack Obama.  Even after all the controversial statements.

This man cannot live in silence.  In a speech to the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, on August 31, 2008, he spoke of God turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.  Indeed, he must assail the critics of his Pseudo-son/Mini-me, and help him rise into the White House!  Oh yes, and his wife too, his quote seems to imply.

“Twenty years ago, a scrawny little kid with a pointed nose and big ears — mama from Kansas and daddy from Kenya,” he began. “An ordinary black boy raised in a single-parent home. The boy walked into my office 20 years ago to talk about his dream for a community that concentrated on things that we could achieve in common, things that united us rather than to focus on all the problems and the issues in the community about which we disagree or the things that divided us.”

“The Lord turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. Y’all just saw it this past week. It was on national television,” Wright said to applause. “This ordinary boy just might be, come November, the 4th, this ordinary boy from a single parent home with a daddy from Kenya and a mama from Kansas. This ordinary boy just might be the first president in the history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600 Pennsylvania, legally.“

Enigma.  Since when is running for the Presidency about where a woman sleeps, let alone a woman’s ethnicity?

Are folks likely to forgive and forget these associations?

Obama keeps reaching back to his Chicago political past for his policy advisers, and pulling one despicable, vile, and even evil rabbit after another out of his hat.

The list of Barack Obama’s radical associations is long and it keeps getting longer. Some are now well-known, but many are not.

They need to be.

Oh, we know about Obama’s 23 years at Trinity United Church of Christ. And we know about Jeremiah Wright. These relationships alone were enough to prompt the leftist Rolling Stone Magazine to acknowledge that:

This is as openly radical a background as any significant American political figure has ever emerged from, as much Malcolm X as Martin Luther King Jr.

And of course, many have heard the name of Father Michael Pfleger and his hateful and race-hating ramblings (what do you call a white man who despises his own race? A liberal).

But many don’t realize that Barack Obama met the radical social activist Father Pfleger while Obama was carrying out his own radical social activism. They don’t realize that Barack Obama’s stint as a “community organizer” was at ACORN, about as radical an organization that one can find in America.

But you haven’t heard quite as much about James Meeks, the third of Obama’s three closest “spiritual advisor’s.” You can hear one of his “sermons” on Youtube.

We certainly could learn more about another of Barack Obama’s friends from Chicago, Penny Pritzker, who heads the Obama campaign’s National Finance Committee. We can look into her own financial background and learn that not only was she the president of Superior Bank – which massively failed; and not only did she literally personally buy her way out of jail by paying a $460 MILLION dollar “fine”; but that she was at the very epicenter of what would become known as “the subprime loan scandal” that would come to eat this nation’s financial system alive.

We could look at former Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson, former head of Obama’s vice presidential selection committee until it was discovered that he had benefited from sweetheart loans from subprime king Countrywide.

The name Tony Rezko certainly ought to sound familiar.

The name William Ayers, terrorist bomber, Obama-co-lecturer, fellow board member, neighbor, and friend should certainly come to mind.

We could also look at Barack Obama’s youthful associations and see just how radical and troubling they are:

Barack Obama has been steeped in radical politics since the day he emerged from his atheist secular humanist grad student mother’s womb. The openly communist Frank Marshall Davis was his childhood mentor; Saul Alinsky and Gerald Kellman (it was through Kellman’s Woods Fund that Obama met leftist terrorist William Ayers) dominated his thinking in college. He chose the most radical church in the country; he chose to make Jeremiah Wright his “spiritual mentor”; he chose to immerse himself in hard-core ideological radicalism. Never before has this country considered such a radical leftist for its chief executive.

Barack Obama’s own wife Michelle should have a LOT more explaining to do than her “and for the first time in my adult life I’m proud of my country,” her, “America is a mean place in 2008″ comments. If that’s all you know about her “work,” you have no IDEA. The following short video is guaranteed to give you some “Oh, My God!” moments, or I’ll refund your money:

Now we find another Obama association that exposes a whole other ugly can of worms.

Chicago lawyer Mazen Asbahi, who was appointed as the national coordinator for Muslim American affairs by the Obama campaign (if this link fails you will know that the Obama campaign is continuing to scrub its website) less than two weeks ago, stepped down Monday after an Internet newsletter wrote about his brief stint on the fund’s board – which also included a fundamentalist imam – prompting The Wall Street Journal to email inquiries. Asbahi attempted to make his brief time on a board the issue, when the real issues were his relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, and his 8-year long personal relationship with Hamas fundraiser Jamal Said.

Gee, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. If you really want people to forget that you are the son of a Muslim father who served an incredibly brutal and corrupt Kenyan government; if you want them to forget that you attended a madrassa in Indonesia as a child and even practiced Islam; if you want them to forget that you campaigned in Kenya on behalf of your cousin, Raila Odinga, who relied upon chaos, corruption, and even violence in his campaign; numerous other troubling associations between yourself and radical Muslims; forget those photographs of you waling around in traditional Muslim clothes, well then maybe, just maybe, you shouldn’t hang around with Muslim radicals such as Mazen Asbahi and another radical pal of yours, the anti-Semite Rashid Khalidi.

It is frankly impossible for me to understand how Barack Obama managed to win the Democratic nomination. That so many Americans could care less about who their candidate really is – beyond the fact that he is the Democrat in the race – is simply amazing.

On Sunday, Barack Obama, along with his wife Michelle visited the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago. The congregation is said to have given Obama a “rousing welcome.” The Obama’s may be searching for a new church after resigning from Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Obama announced a couple of weeks ago that his family was resigning from their church after controversial comments were made by Trinity’s former pastor and visiting ministers.

The Obama Campaign Uncovers the Lie Told on Michelle Obama

It goes without saying that anyone running for president of the United States is subject to intense scrutiny in every area of life. However, no one should be subject to unecessary smear campaigns that have no respect for truth or decency. Senator Barack Obama and his wife Michelle hae had more than their share of these ugly tactics and have taken off the gloves to fight vicious rumors, which are meant to denigrate their character and influence the public. Senator Obama has launched a new web site, fightthesmears.com, which is designed to debunk the rumors spread during his campaign. The following was taken from the web site:

Lie:

On May 30th, Rush Limbaugh said he had heard a rumor that a tape exists of Michelle Obama using the word “Whitey” from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Truth:

No such tape exists. Michelle Obama has not spoken from the pulpit at Trinity and has not used that word.
Lie:

Blogger Larry Johnson wrote on May 31st that he would add “New and dramatic developments. This is a heads up. I’ll post the news Monday morning by 0900 hours. Now I know why people who have seen the videotape say it is stunning. Barack’s headaches are only starting.”

Proven GOP sleazemeister Roger Stone said on Fox News on June 1st that “there’s a buzz, which I believe now to be credible, that some indelible record exists” of a tape of Michelle Obama using the term “whitey.”

Truth:

Stone conceded on June 2nd that he hasn’t met anyone who has seen the tape and that it therefore may be a hoax.

Lie:

“The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th – July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women’s Event.”
