Some movies come to touch your bare deep down thoughts and last as an effect of hypnotism; The Trueman Show is really like such a movie. Its really a rare cinematic experience close to utmost perfection that even discussing about it in words is like spoiling it. Pure, original, delicate and very inventive movie of sci fi genre.

Later the viewers come to know the fact that Truman is actually a man living inside a show without even knowing about it. His parents, whole life incidents, friends, wife, job, daily happening, each and everything is controlled and staged in biggest reality TV show ever on a giant TV set. Every incident of his life is staged and sometimes decided by viewers choices and in all those years, he never got an idea. Now, this fact is to be discovered by himself with help of his secret love, who is set to put off from the show, but wants him to be freed.

Watch it, I promise that it will be an experience of lifetime.

I’ve just got in my my bicycle commute home and I wanted to share my thoughts.

It felt like the most surreal ‘rain’ ever. I actually feel like I’m in the Truman Show. The rain wasn’t like “normal” rain. It was coming down like an actual shower and it wasn’t cold?! SO so weird!! ALSO, the whole of Great Eastern Street was completely water-logged and apart from a few dents in the road, it doesn’t normally even have puddles when it rains! Very strange!

Here’s the next podcast of the Celtic Rebel v/w Stygian Port “Dinner With Andros” series [in stereo]. Technically, it is the show prior to the last, so when we say things like “last time,” we are referring to a podcast that you’ve yet to hear. Clear as mud? Don’t worry, it will get even more confusing after we release the next one.

This one doesn’t require as much of a “warning” as the last, and should offend far fewer people. Still, I wouldn’t recommend cranking it out of your car stereo, as it will undoubtedly result in the cool kids not inviting you to their parties anymore.

He really comes out of his shell in this one, getting dangerously close to full-blown “Chatty Cathy” mode. The above [right] shot is from Wanted (2008), and coincidentally, the guy buying them is the complete idiot the protagonist tires of early on. Probably for the best I didn’t see “hippie chick” again. Idiots who’ve been conditioned to believe they’re aware and intelligent tend to cling dearly to their indoctrinated belief systems [B.S.]. Thus, I’d very likely have ended up violating her rear entrance, just out of spite (think of it as a “poor man’s life extension technology”).

The referred to Futurama “Godfellas” episode is also worth a view. Just don’t fall into the [programmed] trap of assuming Groenig and company are talking about this nebulous white-bearded God/Dog character and it will make a lot more sense.

For those who haven’t read my entire body of work, the idea of who/what Lucy Fur is, starts here. The discussed mysterious e-mail, arrived in my inbox two hours before publication of my conclusion regarding the lady in question. As for the “fear” tactic, it was a really weird drop during an interview as soon as I mentioned Lucy, followed by some faint far-off sound of a dungeon door closing. Yea, [more] weird/spooky shit. Considering that religion IS ass-backwards and “evil” is the reverse of “live,” perhaps, we are begging to die ignorant and come right back into the box. Repeat.

Speaking of religion, got a good laugh out of the former [Godfellas] episode, when in his quest to find his lost friend, Frye went into the Amalgamated Church and asked, “Is there anything religion can do to help me find my friend?” By the way, the priest’s answer to the below conversation, was “No.” But laugh not too hard ye atheists, for the only person more ignorant than a “believer,” might be you.

I liked what Lenon Honor had to say on the subject of prayer in one of his video series. He views it as an “energy transference.” By “praying” to some gods we know little of, we feed them, and give them our power. As I’ve been saying, I’m done giving away my power to gods and men. I’m getting the fuck out of this box, and when I do, I’m gonna start taking some of that power back. The Gods better start praying they don’t meet me in the great beyond, lest I sodomize them.

Well, at least they, the hand-maidens of the gods, have a sense of humor; a sick twisted sense of humor, but funny nonetheless. It’s not a coincidence that the church below used the word Deliverance in their title [a movie about men fucking men up the ass]. Metaphorically, the priest class has long fucked their flock up the ass, while in some cases, literally fucking their children in said manner.

Speaking of ass-fucking, I had begun to wonder, some time ago, why Arnold grunts like a “stuck pig,” in EVERY SINGLE ONE of his early movies. Every single one. And it always seems to go on for an unbearably, and uncomfortably, long time.

Listening to the included [audio] clip from commando, free from the distraction of the hypnotizing and lying moving pictures on the screen, I think, makes it abundantly clear as to why. Again, as I surmised oh many times now, every element of cinematic craft/wizardry is scripted precisely, methodically and intentionally.

Based on his past, and my ventures into territory few dare venture [hence, why morons tend to dismiss me as "anally" obsessed], the questions yield answers. For one, the priest class chuckle as it reminds them of the time they spent with little Arnold. Two, they laugh their ass off at the dumb beer-swilling fag-bashing macho dudes in the audience who haven’t the slightest clue as to what they’re watching and eagerly submit/consent to the reprogramming of their mind.

That’s the quote Stygian Port referred to. Of relevance, in why most who call themselves “truthers will never ever understand the gay agenda, or even why they are who they are [cause, they "do what they want"]. Just this week, my sister reminded me of the South Park episode (“Goobacks“) where in order to change the future (the shape of things to come), the men choose to become gay en masse. Matter of factly, one character states, “We are trying to turn everyone gay so there are no future humans.” In the face of revelation, our laughter is our consent.

Adding to the musical train theme, from my youth, I recall all the media-fed zombie boys who boasted of “running the train” on some girl. Oh you silly boys: to properly form a train, each boxcar needs to be able to couple with the car in front of and behind it. If you don’t understand that yet, don’t worry, you will soon enough.

Stygian after previewing this asked about all the Train songs, and how many more I had. Answer: plenty more where those came from [and none are from the imbecile "run the train" genre]. For example: the Clash’s “Train in Vain” would now be relevant. Oh, and pay close attention to the “Jumping Someone Else’s Train” lyrics; they are equivalent to Howard Biel’s speech from the last podcast [3].

Hm, so train, outside of the last one bound for heaven, the one all you need is [blind] faith to board, also has multiple meanings. Aside from the rear-entry position favored by dogs, and the back-door method, favored by nearly everyone now, it also suggests to “indoctrinate/teach” as one might a pet, or a slave.

Formally defined: “to develop or form the habits, thoughts, or behavior of (a child or other person) by discipline and instruction.”

Thanks to B.L.Donnelly, who raised a good point about the propagation of mind-limiting propaganda, I feel I should start using the phrase “body energy field” instead of “Chakra System.” Who fathoms the potential of the hand? Indubitably, all general knowledge has been corrupted by the priest class, the servants of the vampiric overlords who’s very existence relies on keeping us forever in the box.

Likely not needing mention, if you haven’t already, please drop Jim Morrison, the one with a taste for the back doors of little boys from your list of idols humans. Next time you visit Paris, feel free to stomp on his grave. Wish I had. {*3}

Speaking of “chicken,” The Truman Show may just be worthy of an intimate exploration at some point. For now I’ll just point out a scene that someone really wanted the audience to notice. Carey runs into the twins and twice, they push his shoulder against the advertisement behind him, the camera focused on it.

Who’s the chicken in this situation? We are the chicken. We are the free-range slaves they are addressing (disuccsed in prior article, Statism is Dead vid reaches same conclusion). Just because we’re too blind [via conditioning] to see the chicken-wire, and too ignorant to know it exists, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

From our chicken cage, we go to Nick Cage (as I surmised before, he’s the new Kevin Bacon, connecting every actor to every movie). Though I wrote of National Treasure long ago, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the article, I was but an infant then [in comparison to now]. Speaking of another Nick, the song “Oh Lucy” was done by none other than Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. WTF! Synchronicity?

There’s our dear [¿hm, deer-hoof?] little Angelina Jolie making the V for Vagina sign. Alternately, the Luciferan gesture can be interpreted as “fuck me” or you’re welcome to come get a “piece.” Hm, now the jukebox is playing Elvis Costello crooning, “Get your mind off the sweet behind, of our little angel” [not included].

Further supporting the theory logical fact regarding the gender of “the adversary” is how the temptation of the Jesus is even by Church, ahem, Scholars, called the “Temptation of the Flesh.” Well, unless Jesus was a poofer [which he wasn't, another article in the queue], it’s a safe bet there was vagina and titties involved.

After hearing the Vaganally obsessed Prince sing his praise to “Little Nikki,” I can assume he had some inkling as to, at least, what color car she might drive and why she might “park her car sideways, cause it wouldn’t last” [more on that soon].

Speaking of Religion, has it occured to you this whole “Global Warming” hooplah is really just another Religion? Without any evidence, millions now believe something, on nothing other than faith (and some spurious parables/data) alone. Worth a laugh, Park’s “Goobacks” episode featured some idiot bringing up the topic and some “uneducated” redneck smashing his rhetoric with logic a [unindoctinated] child might use, closing with “Fucking Retard!” Here’s a few that fit that bill:

However, the image annemarie shared with us in prior post does make me reflect and reconsider what I might do to Nicole. That’s one scary fucking cover, man.

The cover also speaks synchronistic volumes of the connection between NIC[k]OLE [¿nice-hole?] and OLE’NICK. So, what exactly to you think, having listened to the clips from Prince’s “tribute,” happens when Little Nicki “starts to grind?” Would that be as in “grind” flesh? Go back and look at the images from last podcast dealing with the meat-grinding Cattle-Barenness from someplace faraway down.

Listen closely to the sections where Prince is screaming and tell me if that sounds like “pleasure” to you. Here’s the other related pics I said I was saving. There are no coincidences folks. But, there is good reason why it’s all becoming so evident.

The same slave privilege for which homosexuals are presently beating the drums of injustice at the plantation. Surely, the Master is rather amused.

Hm, so Oliver Stone (directed The Doors), Nick Cage [the illuminated seeker], Martin Scorcese (directed The Last Temptation of Christ), and Tom Hanks [symbologist hero extraordinnaire] are all intimately connected to the Vatican. Another coincidence, shirley. Here’s the flying x-box of death we talked about.

Which reminds me, I’m flabbergasted why people are so convinced that “Angels” are good, and “Demons” are bad, or that there’s even the slightest difference between the two. As if before the dawn of time, someone said, OK, all you guys that drink Coke are gonna be on the Devils Team and wear Red, while all you guys that drink Pepsi are gonna play for the Angels and wear White, forever. I guess it was better that than shirts versus skins? Which reminds me, I should probably sodomize a couple of those archangels once I get the hell out of this place.

I need to correct a likely misperception. I believe many people think I live in “Mexico” … beaches, burritos, Corona & tequila, short dark-haired men with big mustaches on donkeys, Ranchera music – you all know the stereotypes. Those who know me better think I live in “Mexico City” … dangerous, overly-populated, smog-filled, scary, corrupt, foreboding – again, common stereotypes of the city, frequently portrayed in Hollywood movies as the “big, bad city,” where no one really wants to visit. (okay, there´s a few of you crazies out there!)

Mexico, and Mexico City, is far from the stereotype, and my life here is even more distant. While there is a lot of traffic, and smog, and Ranchero music, not everyone has to suffer from it. Some of us live in a different kind of Mexico City. The world of Young Urban Professional Expats (the new YUPE). For better or worse, this is the world I live in. While most Mexicans are fighting crowds on the Metro or crowded streets in traffic, I am walking a few lovely, tree-lined blocks to work. While many Mexicans run the risk of encountering dangerous people daily, my world is filled with security guards and doormen and drivers, watching out for any shady behavior. While in much of this city and country it can be risky to eat on the street if you are a foreigner with a sensitive stomach, in my neighborhood you can order at any restaurant without a second thought. This is the bubble formed by the wealthy of Mexico City, who want all the comforts and dont want to see, hear or experience how the other 80% live. I suppose this is not an unusual phenomenon, but it the differences between neighborhoods are even more marked here in Mexico than in many other places.

Now, before you start to judge me, let me tell you how I feel about all this. I hate it. While many people would love to live in the bubble I do, I really cant stand it. I dont mind being able to walk to work, for sure. But I hate that I live in a world filled with fake beauty, where people show off and mask the realities of life. I hate that while I live in a country filled with so much cultural richness, with art and history and natural beauty, I have little contact with the everyday Mexican reality in the majority of the socio-economic levels. And most of all, it makes me sad to think that there are so many Expats that see only this Truman Show world, that never venture for a ride on the Metro, visit the more mainstream “barrios,” eat at sketchy taco stands, wonder at the incredible street art or laugh with people while dancing to Ranchero music at 3am.

For my part, I will continue living in my Truman Show neighborhood, but make every escape possible to visit other parts of the city, know other parts of Mexican society, and experience different cuisines. And I will try to understand better the lives of all the people who make this Truman Show neighborhood possible … all the guards, doormen, waiters, hosts, cleaners, taxi drivers, and “Ricos Tamales Oaxacaños” street-vendors. The next series of blog entries will be dedicated to observations of micro-cultures of the people who work in my neighborhood.

In terms of the myths and stories of the search for the Holy Grail, or, in our modern metaphor, the escape from the Matrix, we see that Perseus killed the sea serpent and married Andromeda. Who ever thought the number 23 was so evil. See I knew there was something always fishy about Michael Jordan.

When Walter Sparrow (Carrey) begins reading the novel The Number 23, he notices strange parallels between it and his life. Now, he’s worried that a murder that occurs in the book might just cross over into the world of nonfiction.

This movie was hilarious in a very unintentional self-parody way. From the looks of this film in the trailers and even the poster you would’ve though that this was a horror film but oh god I wish it was so I could’ve given it more props for being a bad horror film. Not too many of them around nowadays (sarcasm).

This film is bad. I mean really bad. Not one of the worst films I’ve ever seen but certainly up there. The films first big problem was that it was trying hard to mix horror, psychological thriller, and suspense film all into one huge movie. However, they fail miserably with that and it just becomes one huge jumble of “huh?”.

The one thing I actually thought was going to happen was I thought I was going to get a huge story on the Number 23 and its significance. However, instead I got a huge bunch of mumbo jumbo crap about some guy who does bad things and the Number 23 just so happens to be apart of it. This film fails to ever make the viewer question what is reality, and it was fiction, and most importantly what the number 23 is all about.

This film did have me at a point but then it lost me after all this obsessive crap started coming in and totally got me off track. Given the right direction this film could’ve been seemingly ok, but instead it fails in all levels.

One thing I will say about this film is that Carrey can act. We have seen Carrey act in very melo-dramatic roles such as in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show, but this is different from all and it is very dark and nothing like Carrey has ever dared to try before. He does give an effort and you can tell but after awhile you just cannot take him seriously, and soon him along with the film, becomes an utter laugh fest.

The Number 23 starts out normal but then becomes a clumsy, uneven, and overall confusing mess that by the end you’ll still be scratching your head and wondering what the point of this film was in the end.

So what happened here?

Well the programming everyone was glued to on TV was interrupted by Jim Carrey and the screen went snowy. Finally all the viewers then had to find something else to do. Also, someone hit their TV to see it that would help with the snow.

Now let’s see how “The Truman Show” ends.

Start at 5:30 and watch to the end.

We see another montage of tv viewers eagerly awaiting the conclusion of their programming, and eventually the screen goes snowy and no more TV. The viewers again have to find something else to do. Also, someone else hit their TV to see if that would help.

Let’s work this out a bit:

“Cable Guy” was made first. So… did “The Truman Show” writer see “Cable Guy” and rip off the ending? The ending of “Cable Guy” is basically the whole of “The Truman Show”. (That whole: people are too dependent on TV, and need to get out and live their lives thing.) So maybe “T.T.S” writer saw “C.G” and thought,”Yeah. People are way too dependent on TV. What if I wrote a film script about a TV show that combined the whole ‘everyone is an actor in my life but me thing’ and that whole ‘People are too dependent on TV thing’. I’ll make billions!! And maybe I can get Jim Carrey in on it too. Cool.”

That’s my guess. Any other assumptions?

I saw this wonderful movie some time ago , and really the beauty of this movie forced me to see it again and again . JIM CARREY has dominated the movie all the time . He has proved that why his name is always taken with a lot of respect in cinema all over world .

Here comes it’s short synopsis -

The film is set mostly in a town wholly dedicated to a continually running television show. All of the people present in the town are actors or film crew except protagonist Truman Burbank, who is unaware that he lives in a constructed reality filmed for the entertainment of those outside. Central characters simulate friendship or familial relations to Truman.

Truman was chosen out of five unwanted babies to be a TV star, whereupon film producer Christof ordered built a gigantic studio to encapsulate Seahaven, the artificial town in which Truman lives, believing himself to be part of a genuine neighborhood. The enclosed studio allowed the producers, directors and crew to control every aspect of Truman’s environment, including the weather.

To prevent Truman from trying to escape and discover the truth underlying his artificial world, his father is “killed” in a staged boating incident so as to make Truman afraid of water. Because Seahaven appears to be an island, this fear removes Truman’s every chance of escape. Despite Truman’s staged relationship with his wife Meryl, he desires to meet and court the scene-extra called Sylvia, who is removed from the cast by the producers while trying to explain to Truman the true nature of his life. In the thirtieth year of his life, Truman begins to realize the unrealistic routine of his world and tries to escape Seahaven.Along his path to truth and escape, Truman encounters obstacles placed in his way, including choreographed traffic jams, the inability to arrange any trips, sudden breakdowns of transport, a non-existent nuclear meltdown, and an artificially created hurricane on the “ocean”. He finally reaches the edge of the constructed reality and exits via a door in the wall, cheered on by an audience of millions (including Sylvia). Christof finally talks to Truman from the clouds. He tries to convince Truman to stay. Truman, however, says “In case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.” He bows to his audience and steps into the real world through the door.

In about one hour Merkel and Steinmaier will be face to face on tv. During my month in Berlin I sampled a bit the lukewarm temperature of the campaign. True, the Bundeswehr bavure in Afghanistan costing several civilian lives for sure has shocked the public and may change the landscape.

But it is quite refreshing to see two political leaders fighting against each other on a televised debate, on difficult themes such as the role in a war and the state of the economy. And the tv is just a “media”, a broadly neutral eye.

In Italy we’re used to the fact the the tv has a role in the fight, and actually takes sides. Takes the side of His Video Shortness. That’s why next Saturday we’ll have to hit the road again and join a protest against the limitations of freedom of the press and against journalists which are too prone to the power.

Germans may be unsatisfied, bored, unhappy with their politicians. But I think they don’t feel ashamed by their behavior on a daily basis, and don’t receive by their foreign friends the usual end-of-dinner question: “Tell me, can you explain me HOW he got elected AGAIN?”.

Many Italians think the German take themselves too seriously. And they also think of themselves as quintessentially simpatici.

It could be true that Germans take themselves too seriously. But if this means that their politicians don’t take the citizens for total idiots and don’t behave like jerks in international summits, I’d prefer a bit less Commedia and a bit more seriousness. Baci da Roma, aka Truman Show.

I’m a fan of the old days when spoofs were actually quality works, and a noble genre in it’s own right.  Early Mel Brooks and Zucker Brothersfilms are often sited as classics, but lest we not forget, um, nope, there’s nobody else.  Satire is a dying form, mostly because it requires intelligence blah blah blah highbrow chitter-chatter… onto the jokes, man.  No seriously, I have never seen a joke on this blog since it started last October.

So speaking of October and spoofs, what about comedy-horror films?  For every Young Frankenstein, there’s a Love at First Bite.  For every Transylvania 6-5000, there’s a Dracula: Dead and Loving It.  For every Saturday the 14th, there’s a Saturday the 14th Strikes Back.  And for every Scream, there’s more than enough Scary Movies.

So now we have two more vampire-themed “comedies” heading our way, and it’s Round 189 in “Hollywood’s Run Out Of Ideas So Let’s Make Two Versions Of The Same Movie And Have Them Compete Against Each Other.”

i saw it about a year after it was released.
at the time, i couldn’t understand it.
but after watching it five years later in a psych
class, i developed a different view.

Mediafun niedawno obśmiał polski serialowy product placement. Najbardziej boli to, że oni tak na poważnie.

Zupełnie niepoważnie pokazali temat komicy ze znanego kabaretu improwizowanego – “Whose line is it anyway”? Moment, o którym wspominam zaczyna się w 3 minucie filmiku.

Jednak nie byli pierwsi; w genialnym “Truman Show” zrobili to jeszcze lepiej.

Earlier this week Sara Morishige Williams, wife of Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, gave birth to a baby boy. She broke the news of going into labor on Twitter. “Dear Twitter, My water broke. It wasn’t like Charlotte in Sex and the City. Now, timing contractions on an iPhone app.” You can follow her on Twitter @sara.

As far as I can tell she is the first woman to be tweeting during childbirth, although there have been a number of soon to be Dad’s tweeting from the delivery room. The first thought came to my mind is this baby will be living the Twitter version of the movie The Truman Show. Quick plot summary of the Truman Show: Jim Carey (Truman) was born on TV and his whole life, from birth on, was a staged reality TV show. The whole world watched Truman’s life unknowingly to him, who did not know he was star of such a show.

This story made me think of the similarities of this baby’s birth documented on Twitter  and the movie and started my imagination on a wild ride of what if the kids life really panned out similar. Although Twitter is not a reality TV show, this baby could be the first baby to have it’s whole life documented via Twitter, hence my new name for this topic, the Twitter Show.

The question is should this baby be given his own account, so his life is all in one place, or until he is old enough to Tweet on his own will we have to be updated by @sara and @ev.

The Truman Show was a great movie, which ended by the way, (SPOILER ALERT: the movie came out in ‘98, if you have not seen it yet, I don’t think this counts as a spoiler anyway) with Truman finding out his whole life is a reality show and escaping. The difference is this baby will know, but it will still be interesting to follow this. Any thoughts?

A veces me siento como si fuera Truman Burbank. Excepto por algunos instantes y personas en mi vida, todo parece ser una farsa, una farsa gigantesca de la cual no puedo escapar por mas que quiera. Tal vez porque aún no puedo encontrar el punto clave que me haga descubrir las cámaras detrás del espejo del baño o en la cerradura de la puerta de mi cuarto, ni he encontrado el camerino donde mis padres descansan antes de salir a escena con todos esos actores secundarios y extras que fingen ser mis parientes o compañeros de clases, a algunos de los cuales, les he tomado cierto cariño. No he logrado descubrir el backstage donde el Gaffer hace de las suyas con la iluminación; los maquillistas dan los últimos retoques al rostro policía que vigila las 24 horas la entrada de los departamentos donde vivo, para que luzca diez años mas grande; los extras repasan por última vez sus líneas y el best-boy le trae el café al director de fotografía. No lo he encontrado y nunca lo encotraré, porque nada de eso existe, nada de ello pasa en esta realidad, no todo el mundo gira entorno a nosotros y todo es tan real que a veces quisieramos que fuera una vil broma, aunque eso fuera demasiado doloroso. A veces preferiría que así fuera, pero estoy seguro de que si así fuera, podría soportarlo aún menos que la cruel realidad. Pensar que tantas cosas buenas y malas que he pasado, han sido todas falsas, es tanto o mas doloroso que la realidad misma.

Tal vez tenga que ver con mi falta de decisión para hacer ciertas cosas, con ese apego que tengo con mis padres, con mi falta de seguridad o mi rechazo a ver que realmente estoy creciendo y que las decisiones que he tomado si son de verdad, aún cuando mis padres quieran que haga y sea lo que ellos quieren, pero para mi esto sigue. Tal vez solo debo darme cuenta de que la gente allá afuera si me ve como un adulto y que yo mismo soy el que debe darle crédito a mis propias acciones. No lo sé.

Así me hace sentir el Truman Show ahora. Cuando la vi hace dos años, me pareció una película superacional muy chingona, sobre todo, tomando en cuenta que, si algo detesto en este mundo, es todo aquello que tiene como finalidad inspirar o propagar la superación personal en la gente, llámese pláticas, libros, películas… you name it. No pasó de ahí, me gustó mucho y ya. Ahora el Truman Show me hace pensar todo lo anterior, si estoy viviendo algo real o todavía estoy esperando a que la farsa acabe, para entrar al mundo de los madrazos en serio.

Espero que la cosa sea masomenos así, pero un poquito menos emotivo. Eso de corresponder las emociones fuertes no es lo mío.
