Sascha Frangilli strikes again with another beautifully textured gown called Envy from Sascha’s Designs.  It comes in lots of colours, but I was feeling like the Lady in Red today!  As usual with Sascha’s Designs gowns, there are lots of skirt options and two shawl options.  It’s shimmery, it’s sexy, it’s sophisticated.  It’s beautiful!

The experience offered by travel is invigorating, and when you’ve been standing still for a long time there is something particularly refreshing about stepping out into the world and spending some time discovering, and perhaps even finding your natural order in things.

I love the folksy, floral appeal of this cardigan from Kurotsubaki, which really inspired this look. The texturing is done in such a way that this really does look like something that’s been around a while and handed on through the generations – it’s not the smartest thing you’ll ever purchase, but really that’s the whole point. This is unfussy and artfully shapeless, the fabric falling from the chest with an uneven cut the whole way around. If you’re a boho type you’ll definitely appreciate this. It’s worth noting that the seams are a little out of sorts at the shoulders, but if it bothers you they can easily be concealed with a generous scarf.

To add a little pomp to my outfit, I layered with a fetching blouse I found on a visit to Hal*Hina. It’s simply done with emphasis in all the right places: the stretch of the fabric where the buttons fasten, the puffed sleeves artfully runched to a close at the wrists, and a wonderfully decadent collar complete with layers of faded lace ruffle. I love the muted colour as much as anything, ideal with the other elements of this style.

Casual trousers can be a little dull, but this pair from Miel certainly buck that particular trend. With a knotted waist band that folds back from the trouser tops, there’s a level of detail and artistry to these that makes me quite giddy with glee: it’s exactly how Mika Nieuport has earnt herself a throng of screaming groupies, and I would unashamedly join them in their songs of praise. The legs are loose and wide with roomy pockets for your travelling accoutrements, and should you prefer less of a grasping cuff, there is a loose banded version included which is just as well executed as the rest of the piece.

Walking long distances ought to require a flat and comfortable shoe, but then my mother did warn me that a woman must suffer in the name of fashion, and so may my blisters be a badge of honour to the cause. These are an older pair of boots from Maitreya, with a particularly thin body and wickedly angled sole. The footshape is slightly peculiar but in truth I pay far more attention to the rich suede texturing and the shape of the leg, the boots sitting in a loose ruffle with buckle detail to the side.

I wanted a healthy glow to my skin without going overboard, so I opted for Tuli’s Bella. The body is done to Tuli Asturias’s usual high standard with each makeup offering multiple brow and cleavage options. I’m wearing the Gogo makeup, with shimmering lips and thickly lined eyes. It’s a day look with some added drama, emphasised by lighter lids and then played right down again with the freckle-dashed and rather ruddied face. I rather like the characteristics of this skin, including softly drawn moles and a little pock on the upper lip among other purposeful flaws. As this is not a ‘perfect’ skin it may not be to everyone’s taste, so it’s prudent to look at the demos before you buy (but you do that anyway, of course?).

The hairstyle plays to both skin and the outfit in colour and style. It’s a casual half-ponytail from Truth, with parted fringe falling to uneven lengths at either side and the upper sections swept back and knotted on themselves, tumbling down to meet the main body of hair to the back. It’s an easy style to wear and is beautifully textured to boot.

Lizzie really liked the look of Kenzie Craven’s of Kenzie & Co new releases over the weekend – the Tight Turtleneck Sweater Dress and Plain Socks (which aren’t so plain mind you) .  So with notice in hand, Lizzie popped over to her Tableau locale and snatched up a dress and pair of socks and set out to nerdify this smexy, smexy dress.  But Lizzie then had a brilliant idea (*ding* – light bulb appears above her head), why not create two looks – our beloved nerd Lizzie and the Starlust roamin’,  The Velvet goin’, Indie lovin’ HIPSTER LIZZIE Yay.  And honestly it took only a few tweeks in accessories and hair to create this two different looks cause you know many Hipsters are nerds incognito or just afraid of their inner nerd creeping out, LOL.  Anyway so let’s take a look at Lizzie’s look for today shall we?

Jellies and huge attachments, this is signature nerd girl Lizzie, LOL.  Lizzie still adores her Fashionably Dead Jellies and her Saya Camera.  And Lizzie could care less that her Jellies are old school prim shoes for sure.  Finally detailed and so well made, these shoes will forever give a sculpt version a run for their money, ha!

Ah here we present my friends HIPSTER LIZZIE!  With an emo look on her face and fancy, smancy shoes Lizzie is transformed to all that is cool and hip, LOL.  She looks so DEEP and oh so full of angst don’t you think, ha.

Well lets be honest, she’s not quite the full on Hipster Girl though it seems.  You see her super fun “Ferret Bag” that she found some time ago whilst trolling some Japanese sim helps to show that her inner Nerd Girl is alive and well, ha.  Skye Fargis and Lizzie tried to find this bag but it appears to not be available anymore, *sigh*.  And the poses used in today’s post from Dare and Kuri Style are super hip in and of themselves regardless of whether or not they are used by a nerd girl or a hipster girl – YAY for poses!

I have to say 24’s Shoo Shoes Wow19 shoe is appropriately named. It think it even goes beyond Wow! If you have been searching the ultimately chic stiletto, this is it.   24’s Shoo Shoes store is full of them, each on their own so amazingly designed, you will be stunned. A great deal of effort has been put into them, from the prim work design, to the 3 HUDs included to allow you to select your pedicure to match your skin tone for the prim feet. The transparent base of the HUD of the 2 skin HUDs allows you to position the HUD over your legs, when you find a tone that directly matches it will literally disappear on the HUD assuring you of a perfect match. I went with the highlight of my shin. The prim feet themselves are very interesting, as she’s worked to include some skin texture, and even shaded them to graduate to a pink tone near the soles of the feet. This much forethought, combined with the design is a delight to find in a designers work.

These shoes are the epitome of HAUTE COUTURE to the nth.

24's Shoo Shoes - Wow19

I chose to let these shoes shine, wearing the stylish Ontible dress from Lelutka, which features a system layer skirt, and prim bodice. The prim bodice is sculpted in parts,  the fabric is sheer, and it features a tie at the front.  I chose to leave the prim sleeves off, and wear an on layer corset from +Plus.   The corset is a short corset that works great with system skirts, +Plus has several styles, and all on layer.  I wore Oh My Darling, in black from Oh, a high updo, with soft tendrils framing the face.  Tuli’s VIP skin pack had this lovely skin named Raven, which I wore with my Celestial Studios Club Collection lashes, and Icon’s BC jewelry set.

So, it’s one of those nights where you feel like showin’ off a little booty, a little cleavage and a whole lotta leg, right? Right..it was for Zimmy & I too.  So, we both slipped into our very low-cut and extremely sexy Luck Inc. dresses.  Zimmy is wearing the red striped mini, which dips low in the front, and even lower in the back.  And I threw on the shredded Petite Fightclub, which hugs my booty perfectly.  These two dresses are sure to show off your best ass..ets!  Zimmy pairs her barely there dress with Aoharu’s newly released Short Riders Jacket with, you guessed it, power shoulders!  I slipped on my Aoharu black riders studded vest over the mini dress, we looked at each other , sure the night was shaping up to be one to remember.  No sexy mini dress is complete without a sexy pair of stilhetto’s, which we both just happened to have ready to slip our feetsies into from Stilhetto Moody, and then we were out the door.

After a long night of shaking what our mama’s gave us, we took my car for a spin and rounded out a night of naughtiness with a lot of fast drivin’ at the Saints of Hell sim.  If you’re a fan of driving, car or bike, you must come check out the underground graffettied tunnels!

As a little girl, Lizzie loved pretending to be a ballerina.  She loved to dance around the house in her ballet shoes and dreamed of one day dancing on stage.  Lizzie loved everything dance as a child – musicals, ballets etc, etc and of course the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.”  So when she first tried on the “Madame Chou Chou” dress from Boudoir, memories of her childhood came flooding back.  After that the quest was on to create the perfect Sugar Plum Fairy look for Lizzie to photograph.  And coincidentally, Lizzie also learned after chatting with Callie Cline over the weekend  of a new sim she created devoted to all the beauty of winter on her Stereo Vogue sim next to caLLiefornia.  And with sugar plums dancing in her head she knew that Stereo Vogue would be a perfect fit for you ballerina look that day.  So let’s take a look at Lizzie as she dances to her own rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” during her visit to Stereo Vogue, YAY!

See Lizzie dance on her tippy toes at the entrance to Callie’s lovely winter sim.  Lizzie loves the look of toe shoes (and I don’t mean Frankenfeet, LOL) in second life.  She purchased toe shoes from both DeLa and from Bare Rose.  For this current look she went with the Bare Rose Pale Pink which does require you to wear the included ballet tights.  And Lizzie secretly wishes that DeLa would also come out with the pastel colored shoes she wore as a child such as light pink or even silver (hint, hint), LOL.

Lizzie resisted for so long demoing the League skin but she finally drank the League Koolaid and she is very happy she did, ha!  The “Misty” skin is simply divine and even though its seen all over the feeds, she was able to mod her shape to give the skin a more Lizzie look and feel – and the Tata’s are pretty hot too, LOL.

Wow look at Lizzie and her perfect Grand Jeté, LOL.  Lizzie loved everything about this ensemble; her dress from Boudoir (modeled after one of Vitabela Dubrovna’s RL creations from Boudoir couture store in Croatia), her hat from un Jour and her toe shoes from Bare Rose.  The poses featured are from Diesel Works and they are simply divine.  And every pose made Lizzie look like the perfect Ballerina, YAY.  As a side note about Boudoir, Lizzie was informed this morning that there is also an interview with Vitabela on Angie Mornington’s Fabulous Fashion TV available for viewing as well.

And oh, a little about the sim:  Stereo Vogue is full of outdoor decor for purchase including trees, walkways and ice-covered mountains.  Callie has also created adorable Holiday themed Antlers called “Happy Head Antlers” that Lizzie discovered during her visit last night, YAY.  Stereo Vogue is definitely full of holiday cheer and should be any on SLer’s holiday sim to do list.

Sissy Pessoa has done it again! When I first heard about Baiastice’s intention to release fur products, I knew they would be exquisite, just like all her other creations.

Baiastice’s latest releases include not only one, but two fur coats – a stunning bolero to wear to your next soiree and another fur jacket to wear when you get nippy. Also, part of the new releases are snake print trousers which come in an array of colours and sexy little dresses with special attention to detail.

The Mini Dress in fuchsia screams party animal who has a knack for candy! This skimpy number with its perfect shadow and zip detail is so hot it’s bound to get anyone’s attention!

I live in the centre of the UK, which means the sea is a good trek in any one direction. Fortunately the metaverse allows for a breath of ocean air, and with plentiful shopping opportunities along the cliffsides I didn’t even need to concern myself with walking across a shingled beach.

Let’s start with the hair (largely because I’ll burst if I don’t rave immediately): I was incredibly impressed with this weather-worn style from Exile, which has everything from a great shape to glorious textures. The style works from a side parting, the hair blown heavy across the right side of the face, wisps flying free while the main body of hair holds reasonably firm to frame the face. I am besotted with the expert use of flexi-prims to the front, which give a bouncy movement that finishes the style perfectly. Kavar Cleanslate certainly understands the nuances of creating funky but realistic styles, including the use of great textures. The darker shades really don’t do his hairs justice – I recommend medium or lighter tones for a real ‘wow’ factor.

I’m also itching to tell you about Tuli’s new skin line, Bella. I often have to tweak my shape to get the most from a skin, and there was no exception in this instance, but it really was worth the effort. The face is quite enchanting – I preferred the red brows with my choice of hair colour and also to compliment the makeup, but you will also find brown and light brow options included. The features are very realistic, highlights and lowlights well defined and tiny blemishes here and there giving a real depth. I especially like the subtle lines to either side of the mouth, offering more than a suggestion of expression. I did find the shading under the lower lip a little dark at first, giving rise to a fear of the lips bleeding, but in honesty the more I look the more I love every aspect.

I paired with eyes from PixelDolls. I only picked these up a few days ago, but they go perfectly with a realistic skin because of the vein marbling on the eye whites. It’s not at all overdone and compliments the shiny pupils which have just enough of a reflection on them to really draw attention.

When I finally got used to the idea of getting dressed (Tuli does a lovely body, so if you’re not going to share then you should at least spend some time admiring it yourself), I picked out some unseasonal but beautiful pieces that seemed to fit the base look. The bolero is from an outfit by MichaMi and is done in a closely woven tweed, cropped to the front and back with a double button fastening below the throat. This is the sort of piece that suits an all-season wardrobe – pair with long sleeves for winter or pop on over a summer top to keep the chill off.

The shirt is from Mischief, a crossover wrap design with a closed back. While I do love this shirt and think the front is convincing, be warned that the side seams are stark (I believe this is an older design). The sheer material demanded I protect my modesty, so I chose one of my many pieces of Insolence lingerie to compliment. Delores is a soft cup triangle style made in a delicate lace that is just as beautiful when glimpsed through clothing. I am a devotee to Camilla Yosuke’s underwear, and even though usually I may be the only one who knows I have it on, I still think it’s an elegant luxury every woman should afford herself.

The skirt is something I picked out from Nyte’N'Day. I was rather taken with the floral pattern as I’m very much of the opinion that there really aren’t enough print items inworld. This is designed in a tiered style, the layered effect working well with movement – it’s scripted so that you can position it to lay nicely when your avatar is seated, although you can wear a non-script version if you prefer. I dressed the waist with a simple buckle belt from the MNK store – this was a group gift a little while back, and doesn’t seem to be available in store, but can easily be swapped out for something similar.

I accessorised with a pretty neckerchief from Decoy. It’s got a great shape to it, the material laying wide to the right and pinching to a knot at the left, with short loose ends. I did tint to match the bracelet and shoes I’m wearing.

The bracelet is one I’ve previously blogged for Lookr. Siyu Suen’s creations always grab my attention, and Orinthia is in my opinion one of her best pieces of jewellery to date. The bangle tapers back from a cabochon gemstone, the metal twisted into delicate swirls throughout. It’s ornate enough to be interesting without any pretention, and the metal and stone colour change feature gives you countless options to make it excellent value for money.

I finished with shoes are from Shiny Things: fittingly I chose the Tuli pumps, which are simple round-toe heels decorated with a large bow to the front that gives an indulgently girlie feel. The shape is excellent with heels locking solidly to the back, with a lovely leather texture that shimmers with highlights to the toes and heels.

Tease, this lovely gown, is the latest addition to the ever growing collection of Ms. Sascha Frangili. As usual it comes with a ton of options, skirts, collars etc. and in a lot of different colours. I’ve picked the silver one, because I had a wintery image in my head and wanted to do something with that.

Oh, this little jacket from Hilarious is adorable. It has such an insouciant, childlike feeling of whimsy in its design and execution that I dare you to wear it and not feel happy.  And the happiness factor can be maximized if you add those fun plaid wool pants from Hilarious as well. Kesseret Steeplechase definitely is the go-to-woman for hand-drawn wool textures that will keep you cuddly cozy.

Note the attention to detail, the lovely pleats in the back of the jacket, the lovely line on the pants that says this avatar does her ironing, the cuffs, the collar. These are total package clothes that are well thought out and beautifully executed.

The comfortably worn but still well-cared for boots are from si*na museum and have to be seen to be believed. They are wonderfully detailed and really, we do need boots in between the the brand new, flawless  out of the box stage and the worn to ribbons stage. These are perfect tweeners. The hair is a casual style from Truth called Hannah. Man, Truth Hawks just gets better and better and better, but does he sleep?

I so love the new Kalnins Boudoir shoes. And in keeping with Kalnins tradition of quality and value there is a range of 12 beautiful colors that go great with any season and huge range of combinations.

The Kalnins HUDs are one of the easiest to use for changing the options and matching up your skin tones and it also helps that with this particular design there is no flesh part from the prim shoe directly touching skin on your avatar so the match doesn’t have to be nearly as close as it does say with pretty much any other shoe out there.

The Boudoir is a classic shoe – versatile, fun, stylish. So much so I just had to put together an outfit to show them off. The biggest problem here is that the most frequent style of clothing that I see myself wearing this shoe with is longer pants with cuffs that usually cover part of the shoe, something I didn’t want to do for this article. Now before I move on to the rest of the outfit, I want to say there was one thing that I would like to see more attention to the detail on and that was the nails. The nails have basically no texture enhancement except for color and shine and are the last remaining thing that I am not 100%  satisfied with on these Marius Kanto’s creations. He is  not alone in this area though, there are few who have really gotten this perfect.  The both exciting and depressing news is that Marius is promising to really expand his women’s shoes line. Why depressing you say? Because, now, I will go broke faster!

Look Of The Day Kalnins & MNK & Ibizarre

Now before I move on to the rest of the outfit, I want to say there was one thing that I would like to see more attention to the detail on and that was the nails. So what do you put with a sexy number like this? Ibizarre (Ibiz for short)and MNK to the rescue. MNK is a store I discovered about a month ago and plan to do a piece specifically on their designs at a later time. The incredible texturing they use on their Tweed Pant in black made them a worthy pairing with the texturing on the Boudoirs. And well Ibiz just has so many options. Last spring I made off like a bandit at their 10L sale and never have a hard time fitting in one of their lovely pieces with outfits. Originally, I intended to wear a shirt under the Ibiz jacket, but the Karo Jacket is perfect for showing off the push-up version of the []::Tuli::[] group gift skin called Bella that I chose to wear. The hair is >Truth< and I totally love it. It is one of last weeks releases, Penelope, and I chose to wear the espresso version of it.

I had a problem. I couldn’t choose….

There was BIff, my big muscled bf (get it? Biff? bf?) that I met at a hard rock sim one night. You know the kind of place—a place on the mainland–crammed between a neko bar and someone’s 512 with their first house still on it, littered inside with boxes from shopping and inexplicably, mushrooms. There he was, dancing alone, doing the lime jelly, showin’ his bling and his smokin’ tiger pants he got at a store that advertised IN ALL CAPS. He IM’d me “How r u?” and my heart melted. And heck, he even had prim shoes!

Then there was TightyWhities7463. (Those numbers stand for something—I have yet to find out. I can’t wait til I do!) I met him at an elegant dance place–Frank’s or Bogart’s or something like that. He’s such a gentleman—the first thing he did was pass me a rose. You know.. *The* Red Rose. He was wearing a bowtie and had that dreamy blond hair. He was suave and even though he wore those newbie men’s sandals, I liked him!

What’s a girl to do? One was rough and tumble and one was uptown and class.

I was in a quandary until I bumped into them both while I was out shopping one day. They were.. with each other. I wasn’t sure what to think. (Well, I DID think about it—it WAS BIff after all and TightyWhities might be saying something else.) But I realized, heck, this is SL. We can ALL get along!

I saw on the feed this morning that MichaMi is offering 50% off on three outfits in her main store, I believe for this weekend only.  I ran down and picked up the Pippa outfit.  As I was shopping, the Tuli update group chat opened up and I could see people were freaking out and fretting about a new skin.  I knew Bella had just been released so I ran to Tuli next to see if there was a group gift and there was!  YAY!

~I tend to look for outfits that will have parts I can use for mix & match and this Pippa outfit from MichaMi is just perfect for that.  There are a bazillion ways to wear this.  It comes with capri length pants as well as full length pants, which can be worn belted or not,  2 sweaters and a shrug.  And all the layers can be worn separately or together.  I LOVE when designers go to the trouble of putting things on all layers like this…and I appreciate how much work it is for them.  Think of the ways you can use this and for this weekend this outfit is only 100L!!
~I thought that this outfit, and the skin had a bit of a retro feel so I added a hair from the Truth Retirement Sale called Antonia, which has a color change band.  I thought it was very cute with this outfit.

~The fabulous scarf is by Sysy and is only available at the Merry Christmas location of her store.  There are lots of colors to choose from.  Love these!!  Thank you, Sysy!
