Noiembrie nu e îndeobşte darnic cu lumina, ori terestrele sale ceţuri o ascund prea adesea… Accesul la (cerul) albastru se întâmplă rar, iar când se petrece toamna târzie se colorează subit, o sonoritate specială animă frunzele şi un galben ca de candele toropeşte…

Contorul blog-ului spune că dacă adaug şi textul acesta s-au adunat 200. Aş vrea să cred că nu sunt efemere notaţii, că sunt paginile unei cărţi… De vreo 300 de ori cei care au răsfoit-o au notat gândurile lor, aşa cum fac şi eu cu litere minuscule, din loc în loc, pe chenarul alb al câte unei pagini, când lectura îmi coboară în inimă sau când urcă în profunzimea gândului. Lor şi celor mai bine de 26000 care în treacăt sau mai pe îndelete au răsfoit printre texte, le mulţumesc!

Ori de câte ori văd cum sunt desprinse schele măcar de pe o turlă, spre exemplu, dacă nu de pe clădirea în întregime, uneori după mulţi ani de consolidare şi restaurare lente, oprite, stagnate, momentul îmi pare o izbândă asupra a ceea ce pare inevitabil. Cu atât mai mult cu cât clădirea salvată este un monument, iar restaurarea cât de cât izbutită. Chiar şi atunci când nu e vorba de o clădire cu notorietate, cum e această biserică de la începutul sec. al XIX-lea (1802) din Holboca, lângă Iaşi, dar având un şarm al ei şi o anume rezonanţă în istoria arhitecturii prin clasicismul ei manifest. Eliberarea de schele are ceva din sacralitatea dezvelirii unei statui… Din păcate se petrece atât de greu şi după o mulţime de ani, uneori cu zecile şi asta nu e de ieri de azi, e boală veche, uneori schele au căzut pur şi simplu de vechime.

Ioana Lupea scrie in editorialul din EVZ de Luni, 29 Iunie 2009, printre altele:

“Serviciul de PR pentru politicieni al BOR a fost inaugurat pe vremea comunismului, atunci doar fostul dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu având privilegiul de a fi amintit la slujba de duminică.

Democraţia a inclus pe lista de clienţi ai BOR politicieni din toate partidele care au trecut pe la putere, pomeniţi în virtutea sfântului principiu „serviciu contra serviciu”. Nu cred ca în guvernul PDL-PSD să existe mulţi miniştri care, înainte de instalarea în funcţie, să nu fi cerut binecuvântarea Patriarhului Daniel.

Atei sau păcătoşi, au primit-o cu toţii, indiferent de faptele săvârşite pe această lume. Prin apeluri la bunăvoinţa preşedinţilor, miniştrilor şi parlamentarilor, de genul celui sugerat de Prea Sfinţitul Vincenţiu ministrului Vasile Blaga, BOR a reuşit să tergiverseze până astăzi retrocedarea bisericilor greco-catolice, pentru care România este criticată în fiecare an în raportul Departamentului de Stat al SUA asupra respectării drepturilor omului.

Nu-mi amintesc ca vreun politician să fi deplâns demolarea turlei bisericii greco-catolice din incinta Cimitirului Vesel de la Săpânţa de către reprezentanţi ai Bisericii Ortodoxe Române, deşi, de la preşedintele României până la ministrul culturii, toţi au fost sesizaţi.

Din parteneriatul dintre BOR şi politicieni au câştigat întotdeauna înalţii prelaţi. Nu Biserica, şi nici credinţa, ci o mână de oameni cu interese prea lumeşti. Dosarele lor la Securitate au fost închise, iar proiectul megalomanic al Catedralei Mântuirii Neamului va fi finanţat pe jumătate de la bugetul statului.

Clădirea mai înaltă cu 20 de metri decât Intercontinentalul, cu cinci etaje, 12 lifturi, 250 de locuri de parcare subterane şi două spaţii de cazare de 500 de locuri îi va costa pe contribuabili, indiferent de confesiune şi pe timp de criză economică, mai mult de 200 de milioane de euro.

Să precizăm şi că trei sferturi din bugetul Ministerului Culturii şi Cultelor, respectiv o sută de milioane de lei noi, va fi alocat anul acesta refacerii sau construcţiei de lăcaşuri de cult, majoritatea ortodoxe. Şi pentru ce toate aceste resurse financiare? Pentru ca un politician să fie pomenit la slujba de duminică.

Curtea si biserica domneasca

Este situata in centrul orasului Piatra Neamt si, potrivit izvoarelor istorice, acest ansamblu architectural este alcatuit din: Curtea Domneasca, Biserica “Sf. Ioan” si Turnul-Clopotnita. Curtea si biserica domneasca isi are inceputurile in perioada 1468-1475 fiind ctitorit de Stefan cel Mare.

Din Curtea Domneasca s-a mai pastrat doar o parte din pivnitele casei domnesti (unde se afla acum o expozitie muzeala) si portiuni din zidul de incinta. Curtea si biserica domneasca o fost zidita intre anii 1497-1498, monumentala si eleganta, este caracteristica stilului arhitectural moldovenesc din acea perioada imbinand tipul cu plan dreptunghiular si bolti semicilindrice cu cel trilobat si turla pe naos.

Turnul, construit in 1499 din piatra bruta si intarit cu patru contraforturi ce-i subliniaza profilul zvelt, are 19 m inaltime. Foisorul de paza a fost adaugat in epoca moderna.

I first heard Murder by Death (MbD) from my friend Whit’s ipod.  After one listen I couldn’t stop.  The name “Murder by Death” may sound like a death metal band but not quite.  MbD have a sound exhumed from the depths of America’s underbelly.  It’s as if Edgar Allen Poe started doing cowboy poetry.  These thematic storytellers carve out an Americana style of their own that both Johnny Cash and Tiger Army would appreciate.

For the Desert Series Tour MbD will be playing two of their albums in their entirety; Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them and Red of Tooth and Claw. ”The story begins with the anti-hero’s younger days in Red of Tooth… and culminates in a battle between good and evil set within a small desert town in the album Who Will Survive.”  MbD is also bringing in their original keyboardist, Vincent Edwards, for this 21-song set.

The first time I saw MbD was when they were opening in Salt Lake City for a band…uh, not worth mentioning.  MbD lit that place on fire!  Adam Turla (MbD’s front man) switched out guitars mid-set for one that had the appearance of flames coming out the end.  Tapping my foot, nodding my head, clapping my hands, and singing voice raw.  I only lament that they didn’t play a longer set.  That night was the same night their Red of Tooth and Claw album came out.  I bought it along with a t-shirt and listened to it on the way to work that night.

Comin’ Home is the first song out of the gate.  “By the light of the moon, I’m comin’ home.  Howlin’ all the way, I’m comin’ home.  On my hands and knees, I’m comin’ home.  I know when I’ve been beat, yeah I’m comin’ home.” Turla’s vocals somehow dropped an octave as the respective instruments and sounds have come together as never before.  The music in Red of Tooth and Claw tells a tale riddled with mythology, religiosity, boots, blood, murder, lust, and mud…and of course, whiskey.  I really enjoy all of MbD’s albums and Red of Tooth and Claw made the #1 spot in my “Best Albums of 2008.”  I’m so stoked for the show!  See ya there.

(VM) Why did you decide to go with a 2 album set for this tour rather than an eclectic set of your most popular or favorite songs?

(Turla) Our old piano player Vincent mentioned that he wanted to go out with us again (its been 5 years) and we thought that it would a cool way to tie it all together since the story of our latest album (red of tooth and claw) ties into the last album he wrote and toured with us on (who will survive…). we’ve been practicing all month getting him up to snuff and rememebering some old songs as well as working on editing a huge video program to project behind us during the performances on this tour.

(VM) What’s the best part about being on tour?  Worst part?

(Turla) Well free whiskey never hurts. mostly its being able to support yourself (barely) doing what we want to do.

(VM) How has your education (formal and/or personal) influenced the music?

(Turla) I studied religion and english in college- the religion has lent some flair to my lyrics (a lot of wild almost magical happenings appear in our songs) and the english degree has helped me (I hope) from being too cliche.

(VM) Who or what (musical or otherwise) has and/or does inspire your music?  Specifically, what inspired the Red of Tooth and Claw and Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them albums?

(Turla) I love the books of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway. I love movies by Terry Gilliam, Jeunet, and Hitchcock. I like the blend of magic and realism, the impossible seeming almost possible. Oh and who could forget Arnold Schwarzenegger?  He captures all of these things.

(VM) What song or songs have closely paralleled your life or moments of

your life?

(Turla) If you mean our songs I would say the most real ones are brother, Shiola, Boy Decide, Spring Break 1899.  If you mean other peoples songs I am gonna have to say “Funky Broadway”.

(VM) Many artists seek to influence their listener’s with their

music.  In contrast, how has your music changed or influenced your life?

(Turla) It’s become my life. “Band first”. My schedule is determined by the bands schedule. We didn’t expect to do this as a job but now we really enjoy it.

Am văzut astăzi turla de la Trei Ierarhi din Iaşi degajată de schele. Văzusem modenatura din piatră acolo sus, de aproape, aşa cum mi-am dorit încă din excursia din copilărie… Se împlinesc uneori dorinţele bizare. Albă, ca şi cum abia este despicată din carieră, piatra îţi lasă o ciudată impresie de crud. Ai şansa de a trăi emoţii estetice speciale pe care doar lor, primilor privitori, imediat după ce „statuia” a fost dezvelită, cu tăieturile ei, ocniţele şi fantele ferestrelor, le sunt permise. Privită în întregul său volum zvelt, parcă străveziu, verticala de piatră pe cerul albastru e covorul zburător albit ca o ţesătură fină de in…

Apropo de posturile cu Razboinicul de Telemea. Ascultati un cover; o piesa despre jungla si locuitorul ei.
