Concert Review

Whether singing in English, Latin (as on “Ave Maria”) or French (as on Bestor’s galloping arrangement of “Pat-a-Pan”), Archuleta showed not only a command of the material but an ability to connect with the audience with self-deprecating humor and sheepish but endearing half-waves to the crowd, which nearly sold out the symphony hall.

What was most impressive about the concert was that Archuleta and his team relied not on slick, overly produced Christmas music that would dull the experience, but on a real string section and a lean, stripped-down soft-rock sound that shows an authenticity to the teen, who is turning into a man in front of our eyes.

3. He put on a suit & tie from MOC onwards!! So smart looking.

4. Mommy Lupe dueted with him for HYAMLC – she was emotional and teary at the end of song! She’s probably on for Utah stops only?

5. For Ave Maria, the talented Mr. Kurt Bestor played the piano and David had the Children Choir for backups. Most were sitting down because @JohnAF tweeted:  “When U see the vids, U will see the sincerity & reverence in David’s face. That’s why we are sitting.”

6. LOL @ Riu Riu Chewbacca! May the force be with you.

7. Screams and applause after SN. Encore was OHN – at the end, it was NOISY!!!!

O Twitter está aí, é fato, veio para ficar em suas centenas de roupagens, como apps-desktops, gadgets, extensões do firefox, plugins de blogs e APIs para uso em outros serviços, enfim, há de se acreditar que o motivo do grande sucesso da simplória ferramenta venha a ser sua enorme capacidade de se transformar ao sabor de cada usuário, e ao mesmo tempo caiu nas garras Geeks pela fácil implementação de novas funcionalidades.

Algo que pude perceber, é que o utilizador do Twitter “amadurece” com o tempo, e conforme vai ficando íntimo do potencial do Microblog, vai alçando vôos maiores, ficando mais íntimo das funções do Twitter.

Acho que me encaixo perfeitamente neste caso, e depois de algum tempo “Twitando” no site, Spaz, depois no TwiterFox, resolvi adotar o TweetDeck com minha ferramenta, faltava mesmo tempo para documentar o processo, que envolve não só o aplicativo, mas também a instalação da plataforma AdobeAir, que vem ganhando muito terreno.

Para quem não sabe, TweetDeck é um aplicativo construido para monitorar vários Twitters ao mesmo tempo, publicar, visualizar e upar imagens, além de administrar também contas do Facebook, precursor inchado do Twitter e MySpace.

Bom, alguém já mencionou um dia, “uma imagem vale mais do que 1000 palavras”, e 13 imagens?

Few more days until Thanksgiving and I can sleep in. I love sleeping in. Mainly because they days are getting shorter which makes me more tired. I’ve also started taking Creatine….again. Which means that I’ll be bloated and that sucks ass. I hate the stupid bloating feeling. It apparently will only be for a few days then I reduce my dosage down from 20g a day to 5g. So that will reduce the bloating, but keep the size. Plus I have to drink way more water then normal. I feel bloated already and I just started this yesterday. Anyway did a leg workout. Went pretty good. They always do. My legs are never the problem. I could work those out every day and see some sort of result. It’s the upper body that’s the problem. That likes to grow at a rate of a micro inch per workout, but before my workout one of my sisters was having an issue so I had to talk to her on the phone and you know it’s serious when this girl wants to talk on the phone. Just wish a few things would go her way. She is a super nice person and doesn’t deserve some of the shit she has to go through. Also had to order a lot of stuff which mean fun times receiving all those items. They’ll all probably come in on Monday. Well here is something I found which will make you laugh.  Yeah you have to click on it. It only shows so much on here. Well its squiby time. So when Toon Disney existed they had a little experiment where part of the time it was this thing called Jetix. It was honestly more annoying than anything because like 3 times during the commercials they would have this little thing showing your watching Jetix on Toon Disney. I know already you’ve been saying it since you came on. Anyway one of the first shows to be featured on it was Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! Yes that is the full name of the show I kid you not. It was one of those shows where you watch it to make fun of it. Well I did. I am not a fan of monkeys. They just have always annoyed me. The one animal….well one of the animals I can’t stand and do my best to try to avoid. Anyway here is the opening for it. Have a good laugh. Today’s tip is never get too busy to check in on a friend.

So my eye is still killing me. Yesterday it was ok, but I took it out then put it back in and seemed to be getting better. Boy was I wrong. So now it’s out and I can’t see at all unless I put on my glasses and I hate doing that. The eye bothering me made a real crappy photo shoot. I couldn’t keep my eye open as wide as it should have been because it kept bugging me which kept me tearing up which kept my nose running. Oh and sorry ladies not playgirl like photo shoots. Just progress photos. My trainer likes to do 3 month progress photos. You see he does this competition where every 3 months you can enter your photo to be judged and basically they choose a winner based on how far they have come. I’m not going to be doing that, but I thought the photos would be fun. Oh I am still caught up with Darker Than Black. Watched the new episode yesterday. I also only have to work 4 days this week instead of 5. I get Thanksgiving off and don’t work Saturday. Also an update on the friends I tried to set up. Both seem interested in each other so we’ll see. I’m hoping that they do end up together because well they are both good people that deserve good people. Speaking of people let’s look at what a nerd posted.  Now tell me that a nerd did not come up with that. Ok not a nerd because if it was a nerd then it would have said You SHALL not pass. No I never saw the movie just saw spoofs of the movie. Well with that I shall post the Squibies. The annoying thing is that they changed the layout so if I want to post one of the ones that’s growing I have to take it out of my favorites or mess with the code. I hate when they change stuff around for the worse. Today’s video is the opening for Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers. We all know Chip and Dale and if you say you don’t then you clearly never watched cartoons when you were a kid. Oh and in case you can’t remember Chip has the black nose (like a chocolate chip) and dale has the red one. Anyway this was another one of those cartoons that was on the Disney Afternoon lineup. So enjoy. Today’s tip is there are somethings that shouldn’t use the honor system. One of those things is the selling of any good.

The project now involves two schools. Children at Radstock Primary added their robots to the wallwisher over the weekend and started to tweet from Earth today.

My plan for the Yr 1 pupil is to have his robot respond to pictures via Twitpic.

I just returned this morning from the most amazing weekend ever. Pictures and a full update to come, but probably not for a few days. I haven’t slept in 24 hours and somehow have to make it through class until 9pm tonight. After I play academic and sleep catch up, the Montreal report will surface. Until then, remember this helpful travel tip: Don’t leave your purse under your seat if you’re traveling by bus. Some creepy, drugged out passenger will try and surreptitiously rob you the minute you close your eyes. Keep your handbag firmly planted on your lap, covered with your hands, at all times if you find yourself seated next to someone. Seriously. It happened to me this morning. Not fun.

Ever hear anyone say, “Hey let’s take a Twitpic!” I know I have.  As Twitter becomes more and more popular, this is becoming a a common phrase to hear.

Twitpic is a simple and easy way share photos on Twitter.  If you have an IPhone there is an app called Twitpic that allows you to easily upload photos, but also, there are many other Twitter clients available that have built in support for twitpic.  If you don’t have access to an internet ready phone, you can do it right from the computer at www.twitpic.com.  The easiest part is if you already have a twitter account, whether you know it or not, you already have a Twitpic account!  Use the login information from your Twitter, and you can easily access and manage your photos.

Being a future children’s book write (hopefully!) I am aware of the power of a picture.  That is why one of my favorite things to include in my twitters are pictures.  It can enhance what you are saying, and say so much more than you can get out in 140 characters.

For example, I could Twitter, “WOW! The sky is beautiful right now!”
Now, while most of my readers would probably believe me, my message would be enhanced a thousand times if I included a Twitpic like this

So Rob and Kristen, you finally made the big move and showed up in Paris together holding hands. What a big deal, the whole fandom went crazy. Like that:

After long months you decided to come out and show in public together and this happens. You have to share all the glory with Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz. How bad for you, cause we all know you so love the attention the press and paparazzi pay you all the time. So what are you going to do now in order to outshine your two co-stars?

"Hey, see the paps over there? The fans are gonna love this!"

Maybe you could show up at some airport reading Breaking Dawn together (A hint to the fans? A sign?) just like they did with New Moon. Or you could go to yoga sessions together. And then get someone else to tweet about it as both of you are currently lacking a twitter account of your own. And if you do, please twitpic something for us, please! Seeing Rob doing the lotus position, priceless! But that would all just be copying what Peter and Kellan did. Nevertheless this would proof you really can be fun celebrities. Something we doubted all those past months. At least as far as it concerns you, Kristen. Rob sometimes is kind of fun, but maybe that’s just his alter ego Dorkward appearing from time to time. Perhaps you got some ideas of your own how you could dazzle all the Twilight-fans. In case you’re not that creative yourself, here a few suggestions:

You could get a Twitter-account of your own. And then drunk-tweet. That’s always a great thing to do (ask Billy Burke, he’s a total pro, trust!)! Or make pictures of the two of you microwaving Hot Pockets together. Or Rob could do it Ashton Kutcher style and tweet a pic of Kristen bending down in front of the fridge to get some more Heinekens. With Kristens sexy butt in the foreground of course. Otherwise it doesn’t really make sense. Well, unless you think the Heineken bottles are more attractive. Which is not impossible, right Rob? Yeah, I really know what’s going on in your head: Heinekens, butt, Heinekens, butt… Difficult decision. Well, no problem, just make a pic of both then. Or you could tweet something about the new plaid bed-sheets and matching pajamas you bought. Or Kristen could secretly tweet how skillfully she finally managed to steal your favorite plaid shirt from one of the boxes full of dirty laundry so that she can wear it from now on. Or you could give a private gig for Kristen and then leak the video on YouTube in honor to the slightly more crowded version Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner (affectionately called Swiftner) showed us a few weeks ago. And don’t forget to do the hand lingering thing before Rob leaves the stage to go microwave some more Hot Pockets. In case you missed it or don’t remember it well enough to copy that really difficult, subtle move, I will post the video again at the end of this post so you can prepare properly. No problem. You’re welcome, honestly! Can’t wait to see how you put all this into action. Cause it will be so fun… Well, for us at least. And that’s what really counts, right? Making your fans happy. Just ask Alex Meraz. He knows how to do it!

Yesterday was a good day for work. Seemed like I was getting up every two seconds to help someone. So that kept me busy. Of course with a busy day comes a few rude customers….or should I say one rude one. People seriously don’t understand that anyone that helps you can be your best friend or your worse enemy. If you are rude to them then well your going to get the short end of the stick. If they are in food service expect your food to be spat in. If they are at some sort of retail store they aren’t going to let you in on all the special offers. Not to mention this guy talked to himself. He did not have nice things to say I’ll just say that. So his loss not mine. Kinda like that other guy that was this know it all. Man I couldn’t stand that guy. So I was at Home Depo the other day and look at what I found in the parking lot.  The funny thing is that I didn’t move it in any way shape or form. Well squiby time So again I have a song from Phineas and Ferb in my head. That’s the curse of watching a show with a song in every episode and having an audio/visual memory. This one is when Phineas and Ferb decide to make robots of themselves. The song is called (wait for it) Phinedroids and Ferbots. I think the album is out with all their songs now. If not it’s on it’s way. So enjoy. Today’s tip is if you constantly have the feeling of Deja Vu, maybe you need to change your routine just a little bit.
