Carla Marins tomou uma decisão radical. Depois de atuar por 22 anos na Globo, a atriz resolveu mudar para o SBT. Tudo porque se sentiu extremamente seduzida por Serafina Rosa, protagonista de “Uma Rosa Com Amor”, próxima novela da emissora de Silvio Santos prevista para estrear em fevereiro do ano que vem. “Fiquei ainda mais tentada a aceitar o convite do Del Rangel quando pesquisei na internet sobre a novela e descobri que na primeira versão a Serafina foi feita pela Marília Pêra, que é uma das atrizes que mais admiro na tevê”, explica ela, referindo-se ao diretor-geral da novela.

 Inspirada na trama de Vicente Sesso – exibida na Globo entre 18 de outubro de 1972 e 3 de julho de 1973 -, a nova versão de “Uma Rosa Com Amor” será escrita por Tiago Santiago e terá colaboração de Renata Dias Gomes. Na história, Serafina é uma secretária pobre e para lá de romântica, que sonha em se casar mas é muito traumatizada. Afinal, no passado, sofreu uma decepção que a deixou extremamente desiludida.

“Ela é uma personagem leve, engraçada, que tem uma nuvenzinha na cabeça por já ter sofrido com o amor. Mas tudo muda quando ela conhece o Claude, patrão dela”, adianta Carla, citando o mocinho da trama, que será vivido por Cláudio Lins.

O início do romance entre os dois, no entanto, começa de forma inusitada. Isso porque eles se casam puramente por interesse. Enquanto ela precisa de dinheiro para resolver questões familiares, ele vê nela a solução para os problemas escusos de sua firma. O contrato, porém, é alterado quando o casal se apaixona de verdade. “A história me remete ao texto ‘A Megera Domada’, de Shakespeare. Porque o casamento deles é a contragosto. Só a partir do dia a dia e da convivência é que eles acabam gostando um do outro”, explica ela, garantindo que não sentiu uma ponta de medo ao trocar anos de trabalho na Globo pelo SBT. “Foi tão natural… Não teve um peso. Até porque, nunca fui só da Globo. Sempre fiz teatro, cinema”, confessa.

O que também atraiu Carla para a concorrência foi o destaque que teria. Até porque, apesar de já ter representado inúmeros papéis de importância na Globo, ela nunca havia tido a chance de encarnar a personagem principal de uma novela. “E é uma responsabilidade completamente diferente”, aponta ela, que, em 2008, deu vida à Adalgisa, protagonista da série “Faça Sua História”. “Foi uma experiência muito boa fazer a série com o Vladimir Brichta. Vivi um momento muito especial da minha vida, como mãe e profissional”, classifica ela, que, depois de dar à luz a Leon, que agora está com 1 ano, se dedicou exclusivamente a ele e deixou em segundo plano o trabalho como atriz.

Extremamente ansiosa com a personagem que vem pela frente – ela começa a gravar em dezembro -, Carla garante que não se deixou levar por propostas financeiras. “Não mudei para o SBT por dinheiro. Gostei do projeto e acredito realmente nele”, enfatiza a atriz, que daqui a alguns dias começa a mudar o visual para a personagem. “Vou quebrar um pouco essa imagem de Carla que estou agora, com esse cabelão”, antecipa ela, que, depois da gravidez, recuperou a boa forma que sempre exibiu. “Foi um pouco difícil voltar ao normal. Mas fechei a boca e fiz muita aeróbica”, lembra ela, que, por enquanto, só pensa em começar a incorporar Serafina. “Estou muito confiante, otimista e feliz com a personagem. Acho que, sendo assim, as coisas vão dar certo”, suspira.

Since a couple of months I have been experiencing the useless Twitter messages on my Hyves homepage. The possibility to connect all social networks irritates me, especially when it results in having those nonsense making messages from Twitter displayed on my Hyves homepage. Seeing people using Twitter and publishing messages like ‘Waiting for my train to come’ and ‘Updating Twitter, because I could’ just makes me go nuts in thinking why the hell they should publish this.

To me using Twitter in such ways is just a waste of people’s time. The time that is spend on Twitter, which is for some people astonishingly a lot, could be used better. If they really feel like giving updates about themselves, why don’t they just call their friends or catch up. Then your time will be spend much more effectively with immediate response and interaction.

Secondly, after taking a look at the messages that people sent, I just have to feel sad for the twittering people. The messages are useless, simple and making no sense. What is it that people want to share this nonsense like ‘Eating my first Chicken Sensation’? Who cares? They should better give some qualitative messages if they insist on twittering, or better just quit with posting Tweets.

I think it is very clear what my opinion about Twitter is: It irritates me. I think it is useless and sad. And I am not even talking about the ridiculous large need for having much followers and being followed. I hope Twitter is just a hype and that the little blue bird will pass away soon.

MY REVERIE EVAPORATES at the chirrup of the Zephyr phone. I snatch it quickly from my belt, but otherwise remain defeated in my rickety office chair.
            “What is it?”
            “Is that Zephyr? It’s Hallory O’Hagan from MMI.”
            “Oh, Hallory, Christ, hello. Sorry. I was expecting someone else,” I lie.
            “That’s cool. Where are you now?” she asks in her ever-effervescent voice.
            “I’m, uh, actually outside some bad guys’ lair right as we speak.” I grin, pained, the expression unpleasant. “Talk about a Tarantino moment.”
            Hallory titters. “I guess it seems like a silly time to want to discuss figurines with you.”
            “Hey, I get fanboys wanting to talk about my figurine all the time.”
            “Well it’s definitely time we revamped your line. It’s been, what, ten years?”
            “Sure.” I shrug. “Those plastic fuckers last forever.”
            “Okay,” Hallory replies with enough trepidation that even I can discern it. “Did you manage to talk about the line of dolls with the other Sentinels?”
            “New Sentinels,” I correct her. I’m pretty sure I blew the rights to the old team name in a poker game, though it is equally possible it was Mastodon who walked out with the winner, taking with him the keys to Omeganaut’s Omegamobile (which he later crashed and sank in the bottom of the Bay) and the rights to Aquanaut’s first-born child. Boy was that a night.
            “Look,” I tell the hot redhead on the other end of the phone, “it’s still a little premature to discuss this. We haven’t actually finalised the team.”
            “Really? I thought we were booking media for the launch next Friday?”
            “Well, yeah. . . .”
            “I might have some interesting feedback for you, then,” Miss O’Hagan continues unperturbed. “Focus groups have thrown up a few names you might want to consider.”
            “For my . . . team?”
            “Well for the action figures, but yeah I guess they need to be on the team too so we can licence them, right?” she responds.
            “Okay,” I shrug, uncomfortable yet intrigued. “Who?”
            “Shade, for starters.”
            “Shade’s, like, British. From London.”
            “We’re getting some very good numbers for her at the moment, and beside you’ll need ethnic diversity, right?”
            “So they tell me.”
            “What about Paragon and Jocelyn?”
            “Jesus,” I hiss. “I don’t think so.”
            “Why not?” Hallory asks. “Have you even heard the figures they’re talking for wedding pictures?”
            “Let’s keep going down the list.”
            “Cusp? I don’t even know who that is.”
            “I’m working on it. Next?”
            “Okay. Red Monolith.”
            “He’s, uh . . . he’s dead.”
            “Okay well that’s not happening then. Do you think we could acquire a licence from his estate? Sort of a, ‘friend of the New Sentinels’ angle?”
            “Jesus, lady, I don’t know,” I stagger a sigh. “I’m beginning to think you could get a licence to kill if one really existed.”
            “I’ll take that as a compliment,” she says and I can practically hear her purring down the phone. She is so mine.
            “Do you actually have any suggestions I can use?” I ask.
            “Okay. Well how about Nocturne? If you can’t go with Shade, Nocturne’s another good coloured option.”
            “I don’t think we call them ‘coloured’ any more,” I remark.
            “I’ve got another idea, not sure what you’ll think about it.”
            I scratch at my mask and realise I am still not wearing one. “Go on.”
            “The groups were indicating boys from eight all the way through to thirty-five were pretty keen on a modular, kind of transforming robot sort of guy,” Hallory says and barely drops pace as she continues on with the spiel. “I’ve had production mock up a few costumes and the copy guys have suggested a few names: Contraption Man? Mr Roboto? Rocketman?”
            “But I don’t know any . . . transforming robots . . . I don’t think.”
            “I guess that’s the point,” Hallory says. “You could think of it like meeting your obligations to equally represent minorities on the team. Have you asked yourself, do you have the machine world covered?”
            “Honey, I don’t think the machines have a lobby group we need to worry about, unless they’re armed. . . .” I think briefly at this juncture about Think Tank. “Next thing you’ll be making suggestions for a fucking superhero with Down’s Syndrome or something. It’s not happening, okay?”
            “Zephyr, the numbers are really good.”
            “I’m sure they are,” I say.
            She waits a beat. “Even for a disabled person, we’re getting feedback that there’s a lot of angles as far as accessories go, there’s even a synergy between the robot guy.”
            “There is no robot guy!”
            “Only because you’re being so negative about it.”
            “Christ, Hallory,” I say, sounding spent. “You know I love you and everything, but you have to listen to what you’re saying here. The two members of my team you’re most interested in don’t exist, and maybe they’re having an affair together? The robot guy and the girl with mechanical legs?”
            “It’s not a bad idea.”
            “I’m hanging up now. I’ll fax you the final roster when I get the licences signed off.”
            A gravid silence hangs between us. I don’t know if I’m sympathetic just because I want to get into her pants, but I feel guilty about chewing Hallory out and there’s nothing but embarrassed, possibly sullen vibes emanating back down the phone line.
            “I’d green light the Red Monolith toy, though,” I say reluctantly. “He would’ve liked that.”
            “Cool,” Miss O’Hagan comes back. “I’ll courier you over some new concept art. Where should I, uh, do that?”
            “No concept art,” I snap. “He wore red and black, with yellow panels under his arms. And a motorbike helmet, damn it.”
            I snap the phone shut and jam it back into its purse hard. I am fuming with anger and yet mostly I’m just annoyed at myself. I consider annihilating the TV and instead exercise just a modicum of control, giving it enough spark to power it on. The widescreen resolves into a picture of British actors picketing the skyscraper where the Union Jacks have their base. Seeker’s vanishing fortress is certainly a better deal than a headquarters where even a bunch of freakin’ thespianoids can manage to find you. As the small crowds wave their placards, Protector himself appears – the third British super to bear that name – and tries to settle the crowd with an inaudible speech that soon turns to violence. It’s not a good look as he jets through the crowd bowling women and policemen over, bottles smashing the glass façade of the building lobby. I reflect on an image of his teammate Lionheart, last time he was in Atlantic City, with a beard of puke dribbling from his chin into some stripper’s lap.
            I glare at the screen throughout a twelve-minute commercial break, promos for American Hero, Celebrity Heroes, Heroes: Where Are They Now, You Can Be A Hero, Heroes Unlimited, Arena Heroes, Down And Out In Atlantic City and London and a cooking show with some raven-haired British bint who eyes the camera insouciantly and looks like she’s licking up cum as she devours a mess of chocolate cake and cream on a child’s-sized spoon.
            A newsbreak live from the NBN chopper shows some ridiculously buff dude with black hair and a gold cape fucking around the top of the Silver Tower, seemingly inspecting the array of antennae and digital receivers. NBN splices in some of the free-to-air feed Chancel himself provides, giving a fish-eye lensed view of the stranger up close, a furrow to his otherwise fine, completely unfamiliar features.
            It’s enough for me. I’m angry and already dressed. I press my mask into place and stomp through to the wallspace and the open window and basically throw myself out and plunge into the glimmering dusk.

IT’S ONLY A couple of seconds across the city at the speed I’m travelling. Golden Boy hears me coming and turns as I use the concrete ledge as a brake and snarl, “Who the fuck are you?” as the news copter whirrs around for a new angle.|
            The other guy has about half-a-foot on me, which isn’t anything unusual as I’ve explained before, I’m just ordinary height. He has shoulders like a bull, black hair in a sort of Imperial Roman cast, a gold circlet around his brows matched by the cape and little sandals. His arms and legs are bare, the rest of him in a clinging reddish blouse, thick belt and trunks.|
            “A spiritu fornicationis, Domine, libera nos,” he chuckles. “This-a question, it is rhetorica, no?”
            “What?”
            The foreigner smiles and next thing I know there is immense pain in my chest as eye-beams lance through me. I lose all strength and drop from the air – not a good thing when we’re about forty floors from the ground – and it is only rebounding off the hard concrete ledge that jolts me back into awareness long enough to grab for a hand-hold. Meanwhile the dude in the cape gives a final once-over to the audio-visual apparatus on the outside of the tower, glances at me and then rockets heavenward.
            I’m a ruin. I only just manage to roll onto the ledge and lay there for long seconds with the smell of my own cooked bacon filling the air, even with the competing cross-winds. The news helicopter turns around and a megaphoned voice booms my name a few times before I manage to sit up and, gasping, actually trying not to break into tears of embarrassed, pained frustration, I probe the wound to my chest in disbelief.
            “Who the hell was that?”
            The leather is scorched and peeling and basically destroyed. Likewise for the top-most layers of my skin and pectoral muscle. It hurts like a bastard and if it wasn’t for my own persistent physiognomy I’d be winging my way to the ER right now. All I know is I need to get somewhere private and strip down. Victim of my own adventures as I have been so many times these past years, I am a veteran at this routine and manage to get to my feet without much more than wincing. I remember once seeing a Canadian hero called Manowar do the same thing after a few of Cogito’s goons triple-teamed us with some of these industrial lasers he’d whipped into weapons. Poor bastard didn’t realise he’d been nearly cut in half by the beams and stood only to watch his intestines and liver pour onto the ground. I think somehow he lived, though he’s been institutionalised ever since. I guess you don’t adjust easy to seeing your insides in the dirt.
            I give the chopper a little wave and a wan smile and shrug, oh well, for the cameras. I have to shake myself off a moment to ascertain that my powers haven’t deserted me completely and then I do the crouch thing and pretty much abscond from the whole disaster, avoiding the news loops for the next two days that show me getting my arse handed to me from pretty much every angle Amadeus Chancel could provide.
            Everyone’s happy enough to lend their own little comments to my performance, but they don’t even think to ask who the hell was my opponent. The only time anyone even thinks to address the matter – and to add insult to injury, it’s Nightwind – the panellists just shrug their shoulders and move on to the next schmuck.
            From my sickbed, with the wound healing nicely, I scrub Chancellor’s name from the ‘potentials’ list and work the phone, whittling down the final candidates via conference call as the big night comes ever closer.

Amerikanen zijn dus al massaal bezig om hun volgers en ‘vrienden’ te kwalificeren terwijl wij net aan het Twitteren geslagen zijn. Een achterstand kun je inlopen, sterker nog: we kunnen leren van deze jaarwoorden. Ik kijk bij iedereen die mij gaat volgen of ik die persoon of instantie ook interessant vind om terug te volgen. Twitter is fantastisch om nieuwe mensen te leren kennen, andere beroepsgroepen te ontdekken en om nieuwe inzichten te verkrijgen. Maar het is net als met relaties in het echte leven: uiteindelijke gaat het wel om kwaliteit. Trap dus niet in de ‘volgersval’ en leer van de Amerikanen.

Nu ik toch aan het zeuren ben. Follow Friday (#FF) is meer een opsomming van volgers geworden dan wat het ooit was: mensen tippen die jij interessant vindt. En ik geef toe, ook ik maakte elke vrijdag obligate lijstjes. @unmarketing opende mij de #FF-ogen en ik maak nu elke week een top drie van mensen die ik graag onder de aandacht breng met uitleg waarom. Is voor die mensen leuk om te lezen en zo kunnen anderen een kwaliteitsoordeel maken.

Zou mooi zijn als ‘kwaliteitsnetwerk’ het woord van 2010 zou worden. Want daar is Twitter volgens mij nu juist voor bedoeld.

Twitter Recently added the retweet button to the most the tweeps profile.I got it also and yesterday I have given my feedback to Twitter.This retweet project from Twitter is all about making the RT thing official from there side.In this feature you got two new things in your profile a retweet button and retweet section just below the favorites section.When you will click this retweet section u will get three sections-Retweets by others,Retweets by you and Your tweets retweeted.The good thing is that you will get to see who many tweets have retweeted a tweet.

Another thing is that they ask you before you are retweeting a tweet.To me its just a extra step.
My feedback was upon three points:

1.It is so disappointing that we can’t edit the original tweet.We can’t even add our own comment to that tweet.

2.Retweets done from the official site does not appear in the other Twitter applications like Tweetdeck,Seesmic,Snaptu etc.So if you are using this applications you wont be able to see retweets coming from the site.

3.To me its a bit hectic to check the retweet section.Previously RT’s which I got,used to appear in my @aritrasen which was a simpler thing to me.

I hope that we will get to see some manipulations in this retweet project to make it perfect.

Does this sound familiar?

At the office, you’ve got a sluggish computer running aging software, and the email system routinely badgers you to delete messages after you blow through the storage limits set by your IT department. Searching your company’s internal Web site feels like being teleported back to the pre-Google era of irrelevant search results.

At home, though, you zip into the 21st century. You’ve got a slick, late-model computer and an email account with seemingly inexhaustible storage space. And while Web search engines don’t always figure out exactly what you’re looking for, they’re practically clairvoyant compared with your company intranet.

This is the double life many people lead: yesterday’s technology for work, today’s technology for everything else. The past decade has brought awesome innovations to the marketplace—Internet search, the iPhone, Twitter and so on—but consumers, not companies, embrace them first and with the most gusto.

Even more galling, especially to tech-savvy workers, is the nanny-state attitude of employers who block access to Web sites, lock down PCs so users can’t install software and force employees to use clunky programs. Sure, IT departments had legitimate concerns in the past. Employees would blindly open emails from persons unknown or visit shady Web sites, bringing in malicious software that could crash the network. Then there were cost issues: It was a lot cheaper to get one-size-fits-all packages of middling hardware and software than to let people choose what they wanted.

But those arguments are getting weaker all the time. Companies now have an array of technologies at their disposal to give employees greater freedom without breaking the bank or laying out a welcome mat for hackers. “Virtual machine” software, for example, lets companies install a package of essential work software on a computer and wall it off from the rest of the system. So, employees can install personal programs on the machine with minimal interference with the work software.

Some forward-thinking companies are already giving employees more freedom to pick mobile phones, computers and applications for work—in some cases, they’re even giving workers allowances to spend on outfitting themselves. The result, they’ve found, is more-productive employees. There’s a reason professional chefs bring their own knives to work, rather than using a dull set of blades lying around the kitchen.

What Century Is This, Anyway?

For a look at how sharp the divide between work and home can be, consider my experience. The Wall Street Journal gives me a laptop with Windows XP, an operating system I found satisfying when it came out eight years ago but that lacks a lot of modern touches, like a speedy file-search function. My home computer, meanwhile, is a two-year-old iMac running the Leopard version of Apple’s Macintosh operating system. Among other virtues, it’s got a search function called Spotlight that lets me track down files in a flash.

Or take email. Please. There’s a limit on how much email employees can store on the company’s system, and I routinely bump into it. So, I need to spend time hunting through old notes in Microsoft Outlook and deciding what to keep and what to delete, or risk a shutdown of my account. I’m not the only one; a colleague told me she often receives messages with large attached files that overload her inbox while she’s asleep. That means she can’t receive any more mail until she gets into the office in the morning and cleans out her messages.

Limits like those are tough to swallow when you consider how generous free email services are. In nearly five years, for instance, I’ve used only about a quarter of the storage space in my personal Gmail account from Google Inc., despite almost never deleting messages. Furthermore, I can search for old Gmail messages almost instantaneously, while the search function in the email I use for work is painfully slow.

When they get fed up with work technologies, employees often become digital rogues, finding sneaky ways to use better tools that aren’t sanctioned by the IT department. In my case, I’ve installed a search engine called Google Desktop that lets me quickly scour my hard drive for files, and a product by Xobni Corp. that does something similar for Outlook email, even though neither is approved by my IT department. And those programs have made a world of difference. In a simple test, it took Outlook two minutes to track down an email from a few months ago, based on a few search terms. Xobni found the message before I finished typing the words.

The Journal declined to comment on its policies. But even with the potential for productivity gains from newer technologies, it’s tough for many enterprises to stomach the prohibitive costs of a companywide upgrade to the latest software and hardware, especially during the current economic downturn. Research firm Gartner Inc. estimates enterprises will cut technology purchases by 6.9% this year, which would be the biggest decline on record.

Furthermore, there are indirect costs connected with upgrades that give businesses an incentive to stick with battle-tested technologies, like the hassles of retraining workers and of dealing with buggy new products. In one example, many companies never bothered to upgrade to Microsoft’s last version of its operating system, Windows Vista, in part because of technical issues with the software when it was first released.

Home-Field Advantage

It wasn’t always this way. For years, the big breakthroughs in computing technology came in corporate IT departments and university computer labs. But that started to change as the cost of PCs plunged and they became fixtures in people’s homes. Now consumers buy more PCs than businesses do—and the consumer market spurs the most interesting innovations.

Instant messaging reached the mainstream through America Online. Amazon.com Inc. used the technology behind its shopping site to become a pioneer in “cloud computing”—where businesses rent resources in Amazon data centers rather than running hardware and software on their own. Apple Inc.’s iPhone broke new ground in Web surfing and running applications on mobile phones.

The rise of the consumer market also means people have gotten a lot smarter when it comes to technology—and a lot less patient with substandard stuff at the office. Even with the weak economy, companies will find it harder to recruit savvy workers if they don’t let them use their favored technology.

Some companies have decided the best solution is to start giving workers what they want. Until a couple of years ago, Kraft Foods Inc., the consumer-goods giant, had a rigid approach to workplace technology that was typical of many big companies: It locked down PCs so employees couldn’t install software on their own, and it prevented them from accessing sites like YouTube and Facebook. When it came to hardware, Kraft offered a limited choice of smart phones and Windows PCs.

Executives began to worry that the company’s technology policies were preventing employees from staying in step with trends. Kraft was a consumer company, they figured, so workers needed to be more familiar with the technologies that consumers were using, whether the iPhone or YouTube.

So, the IT department stopped blocking access to consumer Web sites, and the company started a stipend program for smart phones: Workers get an allowance every 18 months to buy a phone of their choosing. (Over 60% picked iPhones.) Kraft has also started a pilot program to let some of its employees pick their own computer. One catch: Employees who choose Macs are expected to solve technical problems by consulting an online discussion group at Kraft, rather than going through the help desk, which deals mainly with Windows users.

“The win for Kraft is employees are more productive if they use devices they’re familiar with,” says David Diedrich, vice president of information-systems technology, security and workplace services at Kraft.

A Brighter Tomorrow

The prospect of giving employees choice may be too frightening for some companies to contemplate, but there are ways of doing it without completely giving up control. Employers could require workers to sign agreements promising that they’ll back up all their data and run the latest antivirus software and won’t download pornography. Employers can also require workers to run all of their corporate applications inside a virtual machine on the computer, which seals company information off from everything else.

Still, financial-services companies, law firms and others may feel the need to maintain stricter control, for regulatory and legal reasons. Even some companies moving toward letting employees choose their own computers, like consumer-goods maker Unilever PLC, say the policy won’t work for every employee inside a business. One reason: Many companies offering free choice ask workers to troubleshoot technical problems on their own, and some people simply aren’t up to the task.

That said, many executives agree that change is in the air. Chris Turner, Unilever’s chief technology officer, says the pressure to relax IT policies is bubbling up, especially from young employees. “They look at your standard corporate desktop and say, ‘I can’t work with that,’ ” Mr. Turner says. “If you can make it an attractive thing that they want to work with, that’s a hugely powerful thing.”

I like Stephen Fry and I applaud his efforts, however I think he maybe too distanced from the world now when he says Twitter will prove to be a “triumph of humanity.”
Now, they smashed up the bus stop near us and graffitied the school walls and i’m just wondering how Twitter might have helped there? I doubt if the perpetrators would know how to send a Tweet and the chances of them having a device to send it from are even less likely.
I think the problem is that for a lot of us we forget we are fortunate enough to have this technology but thousands do not and therefore cannot be part of a future involving technology.

this is a sequel to mystery googleness. and well post secret, too.

after that, i began omegling. ahahah i know it’s dangerous with tons of pervs and nasty people. but besides those encounters, i actually met people whom i had one of the most deep conversations. i mean, deep as in really, really deep. it was like post secret, telling secrets to strangers. i guess we can only be frank about ourselves in front of strangers. but i met people who were suffering from debt, ex girlfriend’s menace, school, and so on. and i believe the stranger and i were both being extremely honest, too. so here are my consolation letters to these people.

dear stranger number 1,

i am glad that you are surviving each day. i know it seems like nothing is going to be better. i’ve never lost anyone i truly loved, so i guess i really don’t understand your broken heart fully. yes, the world is cruel. but you know what? the world also embraces people who got hurt. yes, the world goes on as if nothing has happened. i know. i’m suffering from a breakup too. but what if it had stopped as soon as you lost that person? you’re stuck with the memory, and then you can finally say that your pain is eternal. that’s why it has to go on. it will all get better in time. try obsessing yourself over something. something that requires all of your brain. or do something daring. go bungee jumping or skydiving. while you’re skydiving, tell her that you love her and you will be fine. i mean, that’s probably the only time you are close to heaven and get to shout….(yeah, i tried shouting in an airplane once. not a good memory.) you are a brave person for facing each day with a smile, even if it is forced. i hope that smile gets a little bit bigger every day. (no, not like the joker.)

you kinda opened my heart up. the only kind of problem that i’ve shared with people was love. and sometimes grades, because i’m a nerd who takes crazy courses in high school. talking about money shortage really, really was a different experience. because you can’t ignore that you’re broke. you can’t go “find someone else” or “get her/him back” with this kind of problem. it’s like, a dead end. america was a land of opportunity for me. now i don’t know anymore, seeing that i’m not the only one who is financially suffering. at least i had it lucky several years ago. but regardless of how much we are in trouble, by far you are the best stranger i have ever talked to. god, i wish i could create a fake institution and give you a recognition like ‘most reliant, unnoticed individual’ so that it could at lease somewhat help you with your resume. good luck on your search for “a deep anchor”!

you were the least expected kind of people i thought to meet on omegle. ASIAN NERD POWER! yeahhh boi, we are so cool. we suffer more than anyone else. i mean, ap chem is hella brutal. it’s probably more brutal than your parents. at least that’s what i think. i’m sooo glad that i’m over that subject, although the material did fascinate me. just get through it and you’ll never, ever see that again. even in college, i’m guessing. yeah, i probably lost all that authentic asianness by going on omegle before two major finals in junior year, but it was awesome to talk to someone who didn’t make fun of me for freaking out about every graded assignments. hahaha. well buddy, see you at johns hopkins new student orientation!

omegle made my life complete. hahaha. but i’m never going back again because some people wanted me to send them pictures of my foot, and no. that just made me feel very, very awkward. they didn’t ask for a pic of my sexual parts, but of my left foot! i guess it’s called foot fetish. i mean, left foot fetish, to be exact. that just freaked me out and i’m not going back to omegle. haha, i had major fun, though.

今回はTwitBird Premium v2.0のレビューをしたいと思います。TwitBirdは個人的に使い込んでいて思い入れのあるアプリなんですが、開発元のNibiruTechの対応が悪いのか、Appleのアプリ審査が悪いのか、最近迷走している感があります(^_^;)

現在AppStoreにはTwitBirdという名のiPhoneアプリが3種類あります。v1.2以前の違いだったURL保存・翻訳機能は標準になっています。

アカウント画面。登録したアカウントが表示されています。右の数字は未読つぶやき数になってます。
後述するHOMEボタンを押すとここに戻ってきます(複アカ登録の場合。１アカだとコンテンツ画面に戻ります。)。
あと、この画面に限った話ではないですが、シェイクして出てくるボタンをタップすることで一時的に画面回転ON/OFFすることができます。寝ついったーに便利！

設定画面。v2.0からアプリ内に設定画面が移動しました。アカウント画面の右下から入ります。
新たにDisplayが追加されており、Theme変更・名前表示形式・フォントサイズが設定できるようになっています。その他はv1.2のときと同じです。

ThemeをMovie・NameをUsername・Font SizeをBigにするとこうなります。Font SizeはさらにGiantもありました。

コンテンツ画面。各メッセージとツールへのリンクが並んでいます。自分で設定したグループや保存した検索もここに表示されます。
Editボタンからメッセージリンクの表示・非表示、並べ替え、新規グループの作成などができます。

新規グループは作成はとても簡単で、表示名を決めてFriendを選んでいくだけです。
自分はよくtwitterで絡んでくれる人をグループにしています。

TL画面。つぶやきが吹き出し状に表示されます！v2.0から右上にHOMEボタンが搭載されました！すぐにHOMEに戻れてかなり便利です！
また、リロードがTweetie2のようにフリックでできるようになっています。これも快適！
さらに吹き出しまたはアイコン長押しでメニューが表示されます。
ちなみに、吹き出しメニューのreply・RTはIn reply to付きで送られ、アイコンメニューのreplyはIn reply toがつかない状態で送られるという違いがあります。

吹き出しタップで全画面表示。画像がインライン表示されます。下段のアイコンから各種操作できます。
TLのアイコンまたは全画面表示の名前欄タップでそのIDの詳細情報も見られます。

New Tweet画面。右下のアイコンからいけます。v2.0でかなり変更があって盛りだくさんです！
複アカ利用時はFrom [ID]タップで送信アカウントの切り替えができます。
中央部は左から画像添付・音声添付(！)・音楽情報貼付(！！)・残り文字数・Friend貼付・クリアボタン・その他ボタンです。

その他ボタンからはURL短縮・位置情報貼付・ハッシュタグ貼付(！！！)ができます。
画像を添付すると右中央にアイコンが付き、タップでメニューが表示されます。

Draftツール。Save Draftしたり送信できなかったつぶやきはここに保存されます。左下のアイコンから一括送信もできます。

検索ツール。検索ワードを入力後右上のスターを押すと検索リンクがコンテンツ画面に保存されいつでも見ることができるようになります。WebのTwitter検索とも連動しています。超便利！

Trendツール。注目のキーワードを表示します。あまり使いません(^_^;)

My Profileツール。自分の詳細画面を見ることができます。右上のEditボタンからlocation・web・自己紹介の編集ができます。v2.0からはアカ画像の変更も可能になりました！
下段左から２番目のアイコンを押すとグループ選択画面が表れます。

Find Peopleツール。アカウントを検索できます、があまりちゃんと拾ってくれません(-_-;)フルネームで確実に検索する用ですね。

ふ～終わった。かなりの分量&画像てんこ盛りですが、TwtBirdへの思いの強さということで勘弁してくださいｗ

I have had the priviledge of having some very strong, intelligent women in my life. Without diminishing any of them, I want to elevate my wife for a moment. She is the strongest, most intelligent woman I know. She would have to be…she’s married to me. All joking aside, she is. Her wisdom and creativity…as well as her ability to reject my worst and call out my best…have made my world a better place and made me a better man and human being. This topic could be taken down all sorts of trails. I simply want to say this: I found this video and the concepts behind it to be encouraging, thought-provoking, and exciting. It was so pretty, wrapped in ribbon, adorned with the sweet little star on top. Being the country girl I am, I was in love. Marilyn, the head cowgirl over there, has great taste!
