We were very disappointed, or rather, pissed off to learn that the Nelson Foundry has gone under as their main customer, has decided to use suppliers in China. The working class doesn’t have it easy these days. It’s hard to imagine the uncertainty these employees and their families have been thrown into, not to mention the ripple effects this will have within the community. Let’s hope National doesn’t instigate more free trade deals, or we will be seeing this even more as neoliberalism continues it’s pillage of the planet.  Products with barcodes that start with 690, 691, 692, 693, 694 and 695 are all made in China.
