By Craig Thomas

Designed by Nike, this is a sample of what Mizzou will wear Saturday against Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium. You’ll recall the Tigers wore gold jerseys in this game last year. The changes here are a bit more substantial.

From mutigers.com

Obviously the biggest change is the helmet, which is dark gray and has a black M that doesn’t jump out right away. The pants and numbers are also gray, while the lettering is black.

There is little gold anywhere except for the bottom part of the cleats, the glove straps and a line of trim along the sleeves.

Members of Missouri’s athletic department emphasized this is a one-time use. They are not planning changes to the standard uniform.

There will be more starting Tuesday in the Missourian and at ColumbiaMissourian.com.

On today’s seven hour journey from home (near Manchester) to Prague I had plenty of time to ponder the demise of the flying industry. Plenty of time to bemoan the lack of a hot towel and a sweet to suck at takeoff and landing. A time when the trolly service was more a case of pass the bottle and a warm meal was served on proper china and eaten with a real knife and fork fashioned from Sheffield’s finest. And the ladies doing the serving looked like proper ladies in skirts and stockings rather than the kind of slacks/trousers that you would expect to see your mom in. Hats off to KLM – at least they have retained a traditional uniform. The only problem is that the flight attendants have aged somewhat. They may have the clothes but they lost their wiggle back in the 80s. And, my in-flight meal today consisted of a choice between a poor man’s wagon wheel (those were the days) and packet of 6 Tuc Biscuits. Now I can be partial to a savoury biscuit with a glass of wine and some nice cheese but not with a complimentary coffee or a juice.

Travel by air is just not what it used to be. Czech Airlines decided to cancel my convenient hop from Manchester to Prague so today I was forced to go from Birmingham via Amsterdam. Thanks to Al Qaeda and the resultant enhanced security checks; the budget airlines who have brought international travel within the grasp of the great unwashed and unedificated; and, Japanese tourists, transit through airports has become a nightmare. I nearly missed my connection in Schiphol because of the twenty five minute queue for security. Standing in line for such a long time with my laptop in one hand and a bag of liquids and my belt in another, shuffling along like a man on death row hoping my trousers don’t fall down. Eventually I get to the top of the queue for passport control when an Italian – they are always Italian – gent pushes to the front declaring that he has “a two minutez to catcha a ma plane – do you a mind eef I push in?”. “They might” I respond pointing to the queue of people behind me. He pushes in anyway declaring “I canna a ask a them all”. I hope he missed his plane. I was taken on one side to have my bag searched because I had a “suspicious umbrella”. What could be suspicious about a Brit with an umbrella this time of year?

The flight to Prague was interesting. I sat throughout the flight with my eyes watering from the strong if, no doubt, expensive perfume of the elegant mature Czech lady sat to my left. She was more blinged up than your average rapper or Premiership footballer but with much better legs. I got wafts of her scent whenever she moved. She moved often because she was practising for a role in a hair product advert. The one where you have to flick your hair in a certain way “because your worth it”.

She was one of those skinny, bottoxed, glamorous fifty somethings that do lunch in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge and the like. She had expensively streaked colour to hide her natural blonde tendencies. She had boots with heels that a cat-walk model would break her neck on. Makeup. Lots of it. But not enough to hide the sagginess in her cheeks and neck. She wore a fur wrap which could have been the real thing and had eyebrows so perfectly plucked that they wouldn’t have seemed out of place on Peter Andre.

Travel really is such a drag. It flattened my mood somewhat from the high I achieved last night when Jedward were booted off X-factor. There is a god, or, maybe, Simon Cowell is a supreme being. Shame about Katie Price aka Jordan leaving the jungle though……..

Now I’m stuck in another nondescript hotel room. Don’t get me started……..

okies so my owner Shuggi has a group incase you dont know and it’s called “the fetishdolls”, were not trying to emulate any other groups so there , now what do groups need,,,,well ok maybe not need but whats a nice thing to have when you in a group to tell the world that you belong to a group,,,,well i think a uniform would be nice, just a little thingt to say “hey look i got a uniform” i mean would the fire brigade look as good if they were all dressed in hoodies,,,or would our boys in the army look half as good going to war in a pair of bemuda shorts, i think not ^^.

so im learning clothing and textures aswell as other stuff, well nto not clothing im trying to make some nice latex, some unisex latex that will look good on the men as well as women in SL, i found a nice texture of the british army S10 respirator and yes i do own one in RL so i thought why not use that as a sort of emblem seeing as i and a lot of other ppl associate fetish and gasmask a together, anywho first pic

front chest detail, put the gasmask pic over the left chest

next shot is of the rear, used the same pic but enlarged it a litte

also thought would be nice to have a lil text on the uniform somewhere, best place i thought would be running down one of the legs seeing as “Fetishdoll” isn’t exactly a short word, so leg texture pic next.

and next a pic of the whole uniform together, doesnt look to bad to be honest, well better than some of my other attempts at latex LOL

taaa daaa heheheh, oh yes i know the mask isnt the KDC S10 one it the old scorpion (now called scientific revolutiions) but hey i have a few gasmasks and like swapping them about

i sent a copy of the uniform to some of the people in teh group by hand, im still waiting for someone to send a group annoucement with the uniform attanched,,,,,not mentioning any names .

and also gave a copy to my friend rainwater, who he very kindly sent me some pics back of him wearing it and i think you have to agree he does look kinda cute in it

rainwater in all his glory front pic

and a rear shot,,,,including his cute bum

so thats the uniform i made, didnt take that long, a few hours, the hardest part was getting the gasmask pic to blend and look nice ontop of the latex and not look like it was just “stuck on” an i think you have to agree it doesnt look bad on either sex

Chivalry By REQUEST, I will begin to express my dearest opinions towards this topic. A dead, well, d

Chivalry

By REQUEST, I will begin to express my dearest opinions towards this topic.

A dead, well, dying stereotypical characteristic… It mainly depends on how you interpret what the notion of ‘chivalry’ actually is. It can be seen through a person living in the 18th, 19th or 20th century OR even back in the ancient society.

Ill express these different classifications of the ways people express the attitude, ‘chivalry’ through chronological order of events in history.

But I’ll start with modern day. In this contemporary age, the basic definition of ‘chivalry’ is ‘a courtesy towards women’. In relation, when one opens a door for a woman, it is classified as a characteristic of ‘chivalry’. This is not the case in this day and age. I may not speak for the whole of society as interpretations differ, the minds of every person is unique and so, I cannot clarify a general interpretation of ‘chivalry’, however, I can clarify for you, ‘MY’ interpretation of chivalry.

I believe that idea that to call someone ‘mistress’ is a dying custom and that only very few continue to use it. I also believe that sliding out a chair for a girl is ‘pussy’ and only gives a feeling for ‘awkwanoia’ (conrad’s made up word) between the two. However, I certainly believe that chivalry has developed to become accustomed to today’s traditions. Now, the characteristics of chivalry are to tend to a girl if they request for assistance, to compliment and to even buy a drink for.

I also should not deny the fact that modern feminism has influenced that notion of chivalry.

Sadly, chivalry is a topic too broad to clarify, but that does not mean I cannot compare it to past societies.

In the ancient society, chivalry was to call the women, ‘mistress, provide them with first serves of food, gifts for special events (marriage)’ this information can been gathered from archaeological evidence. In the 18th century, chivalry was to open the door for a woman, bow, hold their hand to walk. In the 19th century, chivalry was to basically to provide them with more equality, to allow them better education, job opportunities.

Ill end with my comment, ‘Chivalry is a characteristic that is influenced throughout the times, it is not uniform and will vary between different cultures, minds, ages and genders. Hence, it is a topic too broad too comprehend as vast amounts of information is required to clarify its notions’. I do not have time to write a book about it, but I will leave it as a definition that is undefinable due to its inability to be uniform.

I repeat, this was a request. From now on, I will only post opinions that will definitely be answered.

Sorry, but there are no pictures as i have no primary resources for this concept.

From, Rawk the World.

my external HDD is such an addiction to me now. i’ve been watching all the entertainment i’ve downloaded and accumulated for years lol. but i think my dream in marketing was rejuvenated again! lol.

don’t say i’m blindly a fan of Korea-related stuffs but… ohmygosh, how awesome Korean CFs are! no wonder Korean’s industries grew so fast due to high comsumption [high quality of course helped too!]. even companies making school uniforms invest in advertising their brands. i adore Korean students’ uniforms <3.

*hates the watermark*

okay, i’m biased. i chose Minnie’s picture LOL. that was 4 years ago i think? and the boys were endorsing SMART which is a famous school-uniform-making company . basically there are 3 such companies: SMART, Ivy and elite’. their uniforms are very pretty. okay, think about it! even uniforms are advertised like crazy, given the fact that they ask celebs to endorse for both winter and summer designs :|. lol, no such strategy here please!

i admire Korean chaebols! Samsung is always number 1 on my list x). i really hope that i’ll get a chance to work for Samsung’s headquarter in Seoul LOL.

their CFs are the most awesome~

off i should go now.

The Ethiopian Jewish community, called Beta-Israel, lived in seclusion for over 1,000 years, only reconnecting to the Jewish world in the late 20th century. According to Ethiopian tradition, their roots go back 3,000 years to the era of King Solomon. Like their brethren in many parts of the world, Ethiopian Jews suffered persecution for their beliefs and refusal to adopt Christianity. In the Middle Ages their lands were confiscated, villages plundered and many murdered. They were nicknamed Falash – intruders, homeless and without property. Despite the hardships, this community preserved their traditions with great devotion and generations were educated on the value of yearning for a return to Jerusalem, The Holy City, home of The Temple, pure and holy. The Sigd celebrations, Sigd meaning “to bow or prostate oneself”, convey their love and yearning for Jerusalem.

Traditionally the celebrations took place on a hilltop looking toward Jerusalem, signifying a renewal of the bond with God. Now, with a community of over 150,000 in Israel the main event takes place annually at the Sherover Promenade in Jerusalem, overlooking The Temple Mount.Thousands followed the Kessim, the religious leaders, and gathered in the late morning hours in colorful traditional garments or in whites signifying purity, to pray and give thanks. Guests of honor included Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat.

The yearning for Jerusalem has become a reality. Israeli-born offspring to Ethiopian Jews are finding it more and more difficult to identify with the aspirations of their forefathers. First signs are evident that this ancient ethnic celebration of hope and faith might one day be forgotten.

The 35mm f/2 was a pleasure to work with! Light and extremely mobile hanging on my neck – I could easily raise it quickly to get the shot I wanted without scaring off the subject. Some shots were even framed from the chest. I love the shallow depth of field! Most of the work was done at f2.5 ISO100 with very high shutter speeds. Close and intimate!

Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy has complimented his British counterpart Sir Hugh Orde for a rece

Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy has complimented his British counterpart Sir Hugh Orde for a recently published guide for police officers on how to ride a bicycle. In a Garda press release issued today the Garda Commissioner speaks of a “definite need to implement something akin to that of The Police Cycle Training Doctrine.” The training manual is a 93-page document that helps police to learn how to brake effectively as well as how to balance correctly. Garda Commissioner Murphy then goes to outline how far away a similar document is from being produced and implemented here in Ireland: “Of course it would be foolish to start at the end as it were. This sort of manual is maybe four or even five years away. We must start with the basics, which may seem arbitrary but are most definitely necessary.”

The Garda press officer Kevin Donohoe elaborated on these ‘basics’ when contacted by Not the News Ireland; “It is clear a manual on how to get dressed properly is urgently needed. Last year 17 Gardaí were injured in instances where there was a failure to put on their uniform correctly and effectively.” When pressed on the ultimate goal of the many safety manuals in the offing Mr. Donohoe had the following to say: “A significant reduction in the number of Gardaí injured by rogue shirt buttons and flailing ties. We envisage a time when all Gardaí will be able to fully enjoy the sick days they are entitled to without fear of injury or illness.” An advertising campaign is set to coincide with the publication of the first report highlighting the consequences of wrongly putting on a uniform. The campaign will feature the images of a number of Gardaí who have been victims of such errors.

Not the News Ireland was unable to contact the Department of Finance in regards to the likelihood of funding for these safety manuals being available, as their phones appeared to be dead. Not the News Ireland has since learned the phone lines have been disconnected by Eircom as the Dept. of Finance has not paid a number of bills.
