Milton Business Connections raised nearly $1,200 this week in support of United Way of Milton at the groups first community charity event.

MBC held a Charity Bowling tournament at Champs Family Entertainment Centre on May 31st. Many local businesses donated prizes for the silent auction and we would like to thank Retire-At-Home Services, Edward Jones, Muse Signs, Hillary’s Cupcakes, A Country Mile, Coffee Craze, RDC Networks, Couture Cupcakes, Shoeless Joe’s, Best Appraisals, Primerica Financial Services, Pasta Milton, Ivy Arms, BANG! Creative Communications, Human Resource and Human Capital Resources, Inspire Cosmetics and Youngs Insurance Brokers for their generous support.

A Charity Bowling Tournament in support of the United Way of Milton

Strap your shoes on Thursday, May 31st, 2012 at the new Champs Family Entertainment Centre located at 300 Bronte St. S., Milton.

Tickets are $30 each (plus processing fee if purchased online) which include 90 minutes of team bowling, shoe rental, light appetizers and pop, taxes and gratuities.

Bring your entire family or come alone and we’ll match you up on a team!

We will have two shifts:

6:30pm – 8:00pm

8:30pm – 10:00pm

Door prizes and Team prizes will be awarded

Tickets are available for purchase online at http://uwmbowling.eventbrite.com/or for pickup at Bang Creative Communications located at 16 Hugh Street, Milton as well as the United Way of Milton located at 1 Chris Hadfield Way, Milton.

Come out to Ned Devine’s Irish Pub at 7pm on March 7th and meet our Guest Speaker, Kate Williamson of the United Way of Milton. BCX Milton will be a proud sponsor of the United Way of Milton in 2012.

Open categories include: Photographer, Lawyer, Naturopath, Website Designer, Internet Service Provider, Personal Trainer, Florist, Spa Owner, Salon Owner, Painter, Electrician, Home Inspector

BCX Milton is one of 22 chapters of the Business Connection Exchange network.

We are a referral-based networking group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month in a casual networking environment.
Unlike other networking groups, we are not high-pressure.

There is a one-time membership fee plus a nominal meeting fee per member per meeting. The money we make stays with the group. As a group, we decide what we stand for, what charities we support, which members we accept. There are no alterior motives.

Each member chooses a category which is secured upon membership dues being paid. Guests are permitted to attend 3 meetings prior to committing and the first meeting is free!.
