Yes, it’s pretentiously titled Untitled but he might have a good song or a half on there. The album has leaked a week ahead of it’s time. Click here to read all about it.

I found an interesting album today by Mr. Robert Kelly. I didnt even now he had one to come out.

The album will come out on December 1st, but you will get some tracks ahead . It features guests like Rock City, OJ Da Juiceman, Keri Hilson, Tyrese, Robin Thicke and The Dream, but there are only 4 feature tracks of 15.

I’m not trying to offend him, but has anybody acutally ever recognized that he has got the same look as Goerge W. Bush? Whatever, back to the album …

You find typical slowjams on it. It’s probably the first album where he uses Autotune – I wouldn’t have done that … I dont have to tell nobody that it’s overused ! Check it for yourself on the Intro, which I find pretty nice anyways:

R.Kelly Feat. Rock City – Crazy Night

The next track that I’ll give you is one of many slowjams on this album, but it’s the nicest, after my mind. It’s called Whole Lotta Kisses and I really enjoy the beat with it’s melodies and chords.

R. Kelly – Whole Lotta Kisses

The next one is Number One featuring Keri Hilson. I post it because it’s the first single of the album and it might be interesting for you to hear.

R.Kelly Feat. Keri Hilson – Number One

Then there we have the first unusual song for Kellz: a crunk track with OJ Da Juiceman !It’s good:

R.Kelly Feat. OJ Da Juiceman – Supaman High

When you thought this was unusual – check the next one !It’s a french house tune !Weird but good, too:

R. Kelly – Be My 2

Okay..Hmmm..Err.. Shall update on what I’ve been doing lately.

I have been attending school regularly and very much paying attention in class. Also, I have been trying to maximize revision time. Okay, Lame. This part is true but quite redundant. Just trying to make this entry longer.

I seriously miss shopping and those time where I have all the time in the world to do nonsense. But ever since school started time is a big issue. I have not been out in town for quite some time and I really feel like watching movie in a cinema! Sad Life.

I have been indulging my life with Work. Trying to numb & suppress all the unhealthy thoughts with work. At least it makes everything feel better, with a good cause. Money! Last week earn almost $300 leh. Shiok ar.

A lot of project deadline coming up, exam also coming. Jialat lah. Too many things, too little time…

So that’s all.
Will blog when there are more interesting happenings.

““I’m furious,” said Latoya Safe, 25, who was livid about the slow shuttle bus service, some waiting upwards to two hours. “I’ll be paying a quarter more for this kind of crappy service starting in January. What if we have a terrorist attack, we don’t have an action plan in place.””

She sat straight up in the bed.

“Honey, what is it?” Her husband asked.

“Bad dream. Go back to sleep.” She replied.

He laid back down and was fast asleep. But it was a different story for Sarah. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t go back to sleep. So she got up and wandered down to the kitchen, to start her day.

She walked out onto the front porch and sat down to watch the sunrise in the comfy swing. As she sipped her coffee, she wondered how things were going to play out. She knew it was time. Even her dream had told her so.

1 year later….

Sarah found herself sitting straight up in her bed, having the exact same dream of one year ago. She got up, knowing she wouldn’t be able to sleep. So she padded into her brand new kitchen. She absentmindedly began to try to make coffee. Then she remembered that she didn’t own a coffee pot. Cursing lightly she made a mental note to buy one. Having decided it was futile to mourn over a coffee maker, or lack thereof, she walked outside to her back deck.

The view was stunning. Never had she thought she would be living on the beach but here she was. Determined to watch the sunset and not dwell on her past, she settled into one of the comfy chairs. Her thoughts began to wander, she had a ton of things to do that day. But her thoughts were lost the instant she smelled the heavenly aroma of coffee. She groaned out loud, the smell punishing her. As she steeled herself to ignore it, it grew stronger, closer.

How could fate be so cruel?

But the smell was coming from her right. It was so strong, she could swear there was a cup sitting beside her. She slowly turned to the right and found a cup sitting there. Freshly brewed and steam wafting strongly above the mug.

And in the other chair was her neighbor. They had not been formally introduced. Each time she was home, he was away.

“Peace offering. I thought maybe you’d let me borrow this chair to watch the sunrise in.”

“Perfect offering. Thank you.” Sarah said with a smile.

He smiled back and Sarah could swear he was reading her mind. But he didn’t say another word. When the sun was fully up, he got up and began to walk back to his cottage.

“Wait! Your mug!” Sarah exclaimed.

“Keep it. You can return the favor one day.” He said with a smile.

Sarah watched him as he walked into the cottage and smiled. She then got up, determined to to get her day started. It wasn’t until she got out of the shower that she realized she still didn’t know his name. Or anything else about him. As she dried off she had a sobering thought.

She might have just shared coffee and sunrise with an axe murderer.

Harriet called me right as I got out of class. She called to let me know what’s up with her new painting. It’s basically going to portray a rebellion and her main inspiration is the Untitled album by blink-182. Just by talking about it I decided to go home and put it on immediately. The production values on that record are so big and the songwriting is pretty much flawless. When it first dropped in 2003 it was a huge inspiration to my life and even today that stands true. And I guess the point I’m trying to make with this blog is that everyone has something in their life that inspires them… whether it’s a movie, a book, a friend, a song– there’s always SOMETHING that can make a person tick. One of those things for me is blink-182. They set me on the path that I follow today and I’ll never forget it. I may find tons of new bands and get addicted to plenty of them, but you can never forget your roots. You can never forget what made you who you are.

I write and play music endlessly because blink-182 gave me a voice. I believe that I can achieve anything I want to and shape the world to my liking because Tom’s words empower me. I feel that I can be a successful artist, music producer, and business entrepaneur because Mark is able to do it too.

Maybe it’s stupid of me to be so heavily influenced by a band. But at least I’m influenced by something. Blink is just a firestarter for my passion– the celestial fire inside me is all innate and a blessing from God I nurture in my own way. And with the way my life is going and the decisions I’ve been making as of late– that vision for the future is well on its way. The blisters on my hand are telling me so.

I’m done trying to let the world around me figure itself out. I’m making the decisions now.

You can feel the energy in the air. The starting line is packed, people are jumping up and down for

You can feel the energy in the air. The starting line is packed, people are jumping up and down for some reason I still can’t figure out, and the crowd is a walking advertisement for every running gear brand there is. It is the start of a race.

This Sunday PhillyBoy and I, along with many of our friends, will be running in the Philadelphia Half Marathon. Some of you might remember the accident of 2008, where I got tripped during the first five minutes of a half marathon in R.I. that we had trained for for 12 long weeks. We never finished that one, but we plan on finishing this one. The training this time has gone much smoother, and I think it is because we are not only eating even better, but we have been exercising consistently since that last training plan in spring of 2008. The easiness of training combined with our inherent craziness leads us to my point: We are hosting a post-race after party.

We know that it might be a little crazy to run a half marathon and then have 30-60 people over to celebrate, but we are doing it anyway. Like any party we host, the trick is to prepare as much ahead of time as possible. For this party I am actually not doing much cooking but am relying mostly on simplicity and the help of a few friends. We tried to focus on the foods that our fellow runners (or special guests) might want to eat after running 13.1 or 26.2 miles.

This race is really just the appetizer though, as the entree is the Disney Half Marathon we will be running in January for the Rally Foundation. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated in support of the cause. Please find our site here that explains the Rally Foundation’s mission and our donation goals better. I thank you all in advance for your help in reaching our donation goal of $1200!

Back to the food.. PhillyBoy sent out the Evite for the after party and I am in charge of getting the house ready. He did a much better job than me as he even wrote a poem for the Evite, and I have yet to scrub the floors and wash and put away heaps of laundry.

Here is the poem:

For months we’ve been training, we have all our gear,
And now the big race is finally here!

We’re bundling up – its gonna be chilly,
As we run thirteen miles through the city of Philly!

The runners will all be tired and sweaty,
Whether you’re running or watching we’ll have the food ready!

We’ll have fruits and veggies for those who eat light,
Meatballs and pizza for those who eat RIGHT!

If you wanna clean off because you feel kind of smelly,
Just bring towels and shower here before you fill up your belly!

So please let us know if you’ll be at our place,
To have fun and see friends at the end of the race!!

Here is the simple and easy menu we have created so that we can refuel properly without any work that day:

Menu: Philadelphia Half Marathon After Party:

Tuesday:
-Deep clean the bathrooms
-Organize guest room a bit better
-Find a very large bowl for fruit salad and select other serving vessels as well

Wednesday:
-(Possible event with Leslie)

Thursday:
-Go to Super Fresh (drinks, disposable items, pasta, cream cheese, Splenda)
-Set up disposables on table

Friday:
-Set out teas

Saturday:
-Buy bagels
-PhillyBoy make meatballs
-Prepare meatball rolls (splitting in half)
-Slice bagels and cut in half (for smaller portions)
-Make pasta dish (to be served cold)
-Make fruit salad
-Quarter the oranges
-Move toaster oven to bagel buffet area

Sunday morning:
-Do nothing before the race except focus on the race.

Sunday post-race, Round 1:
-Set out bagel buffet, fruit salad, oranges, nuts
-Make big batch of coffee
-Pour orange juice into pretty glass pitcher & put canned/bottled drinks in cooler with ice
-Put on kettle for tea

Sunday post-race, Round 2:
-Set meatball pot to simmer
-Put out pasta and anything else that anyone brought

Note: While I assign a specific day to each task to make it more manageable, I often do many tasks in a frenzy one night and then take the following night off. It all depends on how busy my workday is or how tired or energetic I feel. The point is to split up a big preparation into smaller tasks that can be done without interrupting daily life too much the week before an event.

I can’t believe the Philadelphia Half Marathon is already here!! I am really excited but also nervous! Sunday is only a few days away!!!!! So stoked!

Adam Goldberg is one of my favorite actors. You may know him as Mike Newhouse from Dazed and Confused, or Pvt.Mellnish from Saving Private Ryan. I remember him most as the one and only Hebrew Hammer but whatever you know him from you know his distinctive voice and style of portraying a character. I think this might be one of his best performances yet and I encourage you to find a way to go see this truly funny and heartfelt movie about the obscenity of life and art.

“Prior to this collection, my work existed mostly as experimentations in mood and structure. Although pain regarding “matters of the heart” found itself present within my collected works, it was usually regarded as nothing more than one of many topics to utilize for the sake of presenting my method of expression.”

“Well … my life changed. I was young and had, for many years, avoided many who sought to settle me down. Finally, I was presented with someone who did what others had failed to do … convince me that “love” could mean stability, trust, and loyalty. So, naturally, upon the collapse of that relationship, all I had been led to believe was called into question. A sense of betrayal flamed my distrust in all I had previously avoided.”

“The collapsed relationship had been experienced quite a few time before, but, for the first time I faced the loss of a loved one that had led me to believe in “till death do you part”. There was the temptation to vilify my former partner, discredit all that was previously expressed, despise my self-perceived weakness, and … fear “love”. These temptations felt unbecoming and would prevent what was required … perspective and growth. I had to confront what had occurred.”

You said you’d die without your laptop and claimed that you wrote “M” on your cell phone. Do you still own a pencil?

Just pens. But, just a couple of them. I lose them quite easily. The last collection to have been written without the aide of the computer …

Or phone

(laughs) Yes. Or phone. I wrote the majority of “Untitled” with a pencil. Maybe a pen. I don’t really recall. I was going through a really tough time, emotionally, and I needed to figure out quite alot so I could move forward in life. So, I bought this little leather bound diary type notebook. Mind you, it had been years since I’ve utilized this method to write. I had come to prefer the computer. My mind moves rather quickly, and I became increasing annoyed with … well, within the seconds it took to write down a single word, a whole line could be forgotten. I can type faster than I can write with a pencil or pen, so … well, that and I’m such a believer in editing. You could say I’m a bit of an addict in that respect.

Why did you choose to write “Untitled” without your computer?

I decided I really needed to go over each and every thought and emotion that had come to nearly hold me hostage. By forcing the mind to slow itself, I was allowed to examine what had occurred in my life and really find a balance in my perspective. Anger towards my former partner had faded. I had discovered empathy. That’s why I really have come to prefer this collection over others. Each poem reveals more of myself than anything I’ve ever written. It’s a very warm and personal collection that I’m very proud of.

You began calling yourself a dark romantic after this collection

I did. After the final poem had been completed, I felt a new chapter in my life (as a poet) had begun. I was not the same artist. Structure, tone, and, of course, the overwhelming darkness combined with a new sense of sensuality. I felt “dark romanticism” was the perfect way to describe my new style.

2012. “An all-stops-out, Saturday afternoon, popcorn-munching hoot.”

Gentlemen Broncos. “A funny little slip of a movie.”

Araya. “Less a restoration than a revelation.”

Liverpool. “See into the movie through your own lens.”

Pirate Radio. “Cutesy, baby-talk.”

(Untitled). “It’s both amused and intrigued by its subject.”

We Live in Public. “A skeevy individual.”

Some ancient reviews of mine, from Movietone News magazine, are going live at Parallax View in their ongoing MTN restoration project. Including: Star Trek – The Motion Picture (my first review anywhere), Quadrophenia, The Wanderers, and a couple more to come.

And yes: Rotten issue #5 hits stores this week. Zombie Western mayhem like you’ve never seen.
