This week The Hundreds releases two limited edition T-shirts at our flagship stores in SF and LA. We’ve teamed up with comic book creator Stan Sakai, well-known for his comic book series Usagi Yojimbo, which is currently published by Dark Horse Comics. Both shirts feature the star of Sakai’s saga, Miyamoto Usagi, a ronin samurai rabbit, who is loosely based on Miyamoto Musashi – a famous Japanese swordsman. The top back of each tee features the Bomb logo, Stan Sakai’s signature, and the Dark Horse Comics logo. To coincide with the release, Stan Sakai will be making an appearance at our LA store from 11 am to 12pm, to sign the latest issue of his monthly comic. The first 25 people to arrive will also receive a signed copy of the first full-color Usagi Yojimbo graphic novel, Yokai.

Available this Saturday at the THLA and THSF stores.

My background is in the graphic arts so naturally I’m a big fan of well-done animation and comics. One of my all-time favorites is Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo. Storytelling and drawing don’t get any better. Usagi Yojimbo is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of commemorative maquettes from Rukotoys. If you enjoy well-made stories and artwork, I can’t recommend his work high enough.

Waaaaaaaaaa okey I know that usagi loves…..LOVES Mamoru but but but but I want her to be together with Seiya!!!!!!! First. ……and even know I really don’t know if he is a she or a he…….. But I know that he/she has feelings for usagi and I think that they are soooooooooo goooooood together I was like nooooooooo then she/he and the other returned to their planet and I was like  ” aaaaaaaaa thick head!!!!” then usagi replied that they where going to be friends forever.  And yes I think that’s good that mamoru come back too life but but aaargh I’m still a seiya x usagi fans^______^  he he I just ……..can you say love ?……. hmmm admire seiya he he and I of course like the other in the three lights/ Sailor Starlights^_^

I’m not even ANYWHERE close to getting my ass to Japan or Korea, and I already know what I will be spending ALL my money on: fashion, marimo, and phone straps. xDD

Since I am such a BAD yaoi fan, I had yet to watch ANY of Junjou Romantica, well, until about 4 hours ago . . . **is totally 8 episodes in and hooked** the second season is downloading as I type . . . >_>

Point is, in episode 8, Misaki and Usagi go to Hokkaido and Usagi is all crazy obsessed over buying MARIMO. The minute I saw it said “green algae balls”, I was like “OMG MUST HAVE BALLS OF ALGAE!!”

So I used my magical (trans: google) powers and looked it up~ OMG I STILL MUST HAVE BALLS OF ALGAE!!!

You can keep them in TAP WATER! Duwaaaaah! So coooool~! O;

And, in the googling, I happened upon this adorable item:

So I just kept looking and looking for more . . . none of the ones I liked have been ordered, though, because I need the money for cosplay!!

Již zítra, tedy 10. 9. přijede do Prahy Stan Sakai, tvůrce Usagi Yojimba, komiksu s králíkem samurajem v hlavní roli. V kině Světozor (přímo uprostřed Václavského náměstí, ve Vodičkově ulici) s ním pak od 16 do 18 hod proběhne zajímavý program. Krom podpisovky se určitě dozvíte i mnohé zajímavé informace o ušatém ochránci.

Pokud byste ještě neměli alespoň jednoho Usagiho doma, budete mít na akci šanci si koupit všechny dostupné výtisky.

Celé setkání domluvil v San Diegu se slavným komiksovým tvůrcem Jiří Pavlovský, aby ukázal, že se na největší komiksovou akci světa nejel pouze bavit, ale lovit pro nás, české fanoušky zajímavé tváře světového komiksu.

Pokud Usagiho neznáte, vězte, že se jedná o antropomorfickou personifikaci starého Japonska přesně tak, jak si jej dokážete vybavit. Samurajové bojující za znepřátelené klany, ninjové plížící se nocí, krásné ženy v nesnázích, oškliví vesničané v ještě větších nesnázích… A k tomu jeden ušák, na kterém to vlastně všechno stojí a padá.

Usagi je samuraj bez pána, který cestuje po celém Japonsku a vždycky se, jako na potvoru, nachomýtne k nějakému průšvihu. A vy byste se měli nachomýtnout do toho Světozoru, to se tu tak často neděje…

Dlaczego?: Taka strasznie zabawna xD Nie podoba mi się, że te sztuki walki ćwiczy, ale tak to jest w porządku. A jeszcze to, że choć wiedziała, że niby Hayate jej nie chce i tak jakoś się za siebie zabrali, co daje jej plus

Kto?: Asa Shigure

Dlaczego?: Ostatni odcinek strasznie dał jej plusa. Tylko czemu ona tej magii nie chciała wydobyć z siebie?! Też tak kiedyś mieliście? Całe anime kogoś nie cierpicie, a w ostatnim fragmencie nagle “Ooo… jaka fajna”!

Miejsce: 7.

Kto?: Ichigo Momomiya.

Dlaczego?: Słodka i od początku do końca kochała tego jednego. Choćby zauroczyła się nagle w innym, jestem pewna, że dalej mocno stąpałaby po ziemi i wiedziała czego chce ;] A tą osobą jest jej jedyny – jej chłopak.

Miejsce: 6.

Kto?: Louise de la Vallière

Dlaczego?: Ok, była niegrzeczna, a razem z Saito byli mega-zwariowani, ale to mi się w niej podobało :] Szalona i zakochana, a do tego słodka.

Kto?: Haruno Sakura

Dlaczego?: Dobra przyjaciółka, a do tego kocham różowy. Troszczy się o Naruto i tak naprawdę lubi Ino, głęboko w serce. Chociaż kłócą się o Sasuke ;D Do tego tak jak Ichigo wie czego chce, przydawać się. Przez to została medykiem. To naprawdę piękne, ne?

Kto?: Karin Hanazono

Dlaczego?: Jedno słowo: kawaii!

Kto?: Utau Tsukiyomi/Hoshina

Dlaczego?: Dziewczyny, przekonałyście mnie. Ona jest super. A tam, pomińmy jej życiowy błąd-pocałowanie Ikuto. Ja na jej miejscu bym się popłakała. Jest taka mała, ma takie problemy, a jednak jest twarda! Chociaż ja radziłabym jej tak uronić łezkę w ramionach przyjaciółki..

Kto?: Kuran Yuuki

Dlaczego?: Pozostawiam tu tylko pytanie. Bycie wampirem to magia, ne?

Kto?: Hinamori Amu

Dlaczego?: Każdy wie, że kocham Amu, różowy i Shugo Chara!. Amu może i nie jest pewna, czego chce i ma to swoje głupie cool&spicy, ale i tak ją lubię. Za miłość do Ikuto, za włosy i za charakter. Ten prawdziwy. Za to że jest główną bohaterką i też za to, że liczy się z każdym. Nawet z obcą osobą.

Tutorial for some Bunny Ears!

Ingredients!

White Felt
Pink felt
Some “Plastic File“
White thread
Needle
Ruler
Scissors

Press for High Res

“Please click above picture for the dimensions”

01 ) Cut the Felt to the above dimensions
You will need 4 “Flaps”(White felts) and 2 “Backbones”(Plastic file).

Sandwich!!!

02 ) Sandwich 1 Backbone between 2 flaps to give you a rabbit ear.

03 ) Sew the entire structure into place (Make sure the sewing goes through all 3 layers).

04 ) Cut some Pink felt and sew it onto the ear to as to give it the pink inner rim.

05 ) Bend 1 ear and slot both ears into the “headcrack” of the figma or nendoroid.

I think I have a fairly large doll collection or at least a fairly substantial one. I keep the grand majority of them housed in my computer nook, my computer nook is a small room off of the living room that is roughly the size of a prison cell. Please note that this is not the entirety of my doll collection as I have roughly half a dozen dolls out on loan/ at the customizers as we speak.

I have almost all of the released pullips/dals (I fell behind on the newest releases because of DDs ^^;) so they make up most of my collection..

I spotted this on a shopper the other day (Sorry I don’t know your name but you didn’t answer my questions anyway) and loled for about 20 mins watching the bunny drag her around store.

Well, the clever Fionna Whiteberry, my fellow sister of the dorkhood, thought to ask the infamous monkey, Naxos Loon, where one might find such an awesome thing. And voila! The mystery is solved and I can’t remember the last time I found something that made me squee like an idiot.

There are several different poses you can choose by just clicking the bunny. Not to mention they are trans (but no copy), so grab a ton and send them to your friends! We are also adding group tags to the Who Let The Dorks Out group in world titled “Bunneh made me do it!” and “Bunneh made me shop!”, so I hope to see you fashionistas being drug from store to store in the near future. Per chi possiede l’abbonamento al pacchetto Premium Fantasy, gennaio 2010 sarà un mese molto importante e interessante, visto il ritorno delle tanto attese guerriere che combattono il male.
