Zdaża Ci się przeglądać dane na dysku w towarzystwie osób trzecich, które nie zawsze powinny znać jego zawartość ? Bardzo chciałeś film, który miał znajomy, ale nie skorzystałeś z przenośnego dysku, ponieważ miałeś na nim prywatne dane ? Boisz się, że prywatne dane dostaną się w niepowołane ręce ? Wolałbyś, żeby nikt nie wiedział o tym, że istnieje miejsce z poufnymi informacjami ?

Powyższe problemy jak i wiele innych, związanych z bezpieczeństwem danych, rozwiązuje szyfrowanie.

Do tego celu wykorzystamy program Truecrypt, który dostępny jest na trzy platformy systemowe: Linux, MacOS i Windows, dzięki czemu zaszyfrowane dane ww programem odczytamy na wymienionych systemach operacyjnych.

Przed rozpoczęciem instalacji, należałoby podzielić dysk na logiczne kawałki, partycje. W przykładzie użyta zostanie pamięć USB 8GB. Dlaczego nie może być jedna partycja ? ponieważ szyfrować będziemy właśnie partycje, zostawiając jedną, będziemy mogli bezpiecznie na niej przechowywać dane, jednak nie pożyczymy już kości znajomemu, żeby zgrał nam np. swoje filmy, ponieważ nie będzie miał do niej dostępu. Stąd pomysł na dwie partycje, jedna z danymi publicznymi, które mogą oglądać inni, druga na dane prywatne, przeznaczona do szyfrowania.

Podział dysku jest indywidualny, więc ten, przygotuję na własne potrzeby:

1. 100 MB na mocno poufne, tajne dokumeny (np. kto zlecił zabójstwo Kennedy’ego )*
2. 900 MB na dane, których utrata nie zagraża żadnemu życiu, jednak nie życzę sobie aby widzieli je inni (np. list motywacyjny )
3. Reszta, czyli 7GB na dane przeznaczone na transfer ze znajomymi (np. filmy, muzyka, ebook’i)

* Taki knyf, o którym niedługo

Zaczynam od pustego dysku, nie podzielonego na partycje.

Następnie dzielę go na dwie części:

• 7GB na dane publiczne
• 1GB na dane prywatne

Dysk jest gotowy do dalszego, niecnego planu.

Teraz zaszyfrujemy pierwszą partycję (1GB), przeznaczoną do przechowywania prywatnych danych. Ściągamy program, instalujemy, po czym uruchamiamy. Na pierwszy rzut oka, może wydać się skomplikowany, jednak zapewniam, prosty jest jak konstrukca cepa :]

Z głównego okna, wybieramy opcję “Create Volume”

Pojawi się okno z dwiema możliwościami, zaznaczamy drugą “Create a volume within a partition/drive”

Pozwolę sobie wyjaśnić pola wyboru w poniższym oknie

“Standard TrueCrypt volumes”

• opcja pozwala na zwyczajne w świecie szyfrowanie, byłaby domyślną opcją gdyby nie opcja nr 2

“Hidden TrueCrypt volumes”

• opcja knyf, o której wspominałem wcześniej, w skrócie pozwala na utworzenie partycji, która jest nie do wykrycia, nikt nie jest w stanie udowodnić, że istnieje, poza osobą, która ją utworzyła, obszar ten wydzielany jest na partycji zaszyfrowanej wcześniej pierwszą opcją

Najpierw szyfrujemy wybraną partycję pierwszą opcją, po osiągnięciu zamierzonego efektu, wrócimy do tego miejca by wybrać drugą opcję

Zaczniemy od instalacji ww programu, po której bierzemy się za jego uruchomienie. Na pierwszy rzut oka może wydać się skomplikowany, jednak zapewniam, że prosty jest jak konstrukca cepa :>

   După ceva aşteptare iată că îşi face apariţia şi versiunea finală de Linux Mint 8 reparând bug-urile prezente în RC (nu foarte multe şi nici prea deranjante – oricum apăruseră între timp update-uri pentru ele) şi fiind verde şi frumoasă ca de obicei (văd că au ales exact wallpaper-ul pentru care am votat şi eu la ei pe blog – foarte bine asa) . Cum de Gloria nu am putut să mă bucur din cauza lui Jaunty, de data asta am de gând s-o savurez cum se cuvine pe tanti Helena care după cum se ştie e bazată pe Karmic Koala . Practic cred că o să redevină distro-ul meu favorit şi o să las deoparte testarea altor distro-uri (oricum lucrul ăsta a început să mă plictisească tot mai mult în ultima vreme) – unul bun şi tare şi e de ajuns ! Şi mă gândesc să reînnoiesc şi versiunea de pe USB – adică RC-ul (căreia îi şade foarte bine acolo unde este) şi astfel totul va fi OK .

   Later edit: Se mişcă perfect, filmele şi flash-urile merg din prima, Compiz-ul nu face niciun fel de probleme, ecranul de boot (meniul de GRUB) e superb cu tema sa verde (mă deprima aia neagră din Koala), n-am zărit niciun fel de bug-uri deocamdată – practic e cel mai bun Linux Mint de până acum şi merită toate laudele .

   Ce senzaţie de uşurare şi satisfacţie mă încearcă acum deoarece nu mai trebuie să caut printr-o mie de distro-uri ca să găsesc unul ca lumea (bine, asta se datorează şi lui Ubuntu 9.10 care este un distro reuşit), iar faptul că se comportă perfect şi pe USB (cu tot cu stocarea persistentă) nu face decât să-i adauge o steluţă în plus !

Vimos hace unos dias como funciona el sistema operativo de Google, Chromium OS desde una máquina virtual en VirtualBox. Pues bien, la gente de Bitelia no estrega un post en el cual nos muestra una guia de como hacer para correr Chromium OS desde un USB.

Lo primero que tenemos que hacer es descargar la imagen para el dispositivo USB. Para eso vamos a descargar de este torrent el archivo. Luego, dependiendo el sistema operativo que tengamos debemos hacer lo siguiente para colocar esa imagen en el usb.

Windows

Una vez que tenemos el archivo descargado tenemos que descomprimir el archivo, para eso se puede usar el programa 7-zip. Luego utilizaremos el programa Image Writer para pasar el archivo IMG del Chromium OS al dispositivo USB que tengamos.

Linux

Extraemos la imagen del archivo comprimido:

tar -zxvf chromiumos.tar.gz

Y luego ejecutamos esta comando para pasar la imágen del sistema operativo al dispositivo usb:

dd if=/chromiumos.img /dev/X bs=4M

Donde X es el dispositivo USB que tengamos.

Luego de hacer esto, reiniciamos nuestra pc y booteamos con el USB recién creado.

Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we’re already talking to partners about the project, and we’ll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips and we are working with multiple OEMs to bring a number of netbooks to market next year.
