The Design of the Laser-Markings was done using Inkscape and GIMP – Many thanks to my sister this way, who made the OggStreamer look proper. The font used in all of the Files is called Xolonium which is licensed under GPL special thanks go to Severin Meyer who designed this great font.

You will notice that only FRONT,BACK and TOP are drawn in Inkscape – thats because of the great number of Logos it was easier to draw the BOTTOM directly with GIMP – and we already new at this moment, that the CorelDraw wouldn’t open our SVGs.

here are the PNG

The whole process of Laser Marking was not really easy. One main reason for this was that Inkscape always exports Fonts Anti-Aliased … And opening the SVGs in CorelDraw directly didn’t work either. with Fonts Anti-Aliased exported we produced strange effects on the Laser, which apparently only uses Black and White as information … There was some trickery needed in order to get the Design done proper. We also tweaked the Bitmaps on Pixel-by-Pixel to get good results … So your millage may very if you want to use the PNGs from above.

Because the case was already anodized aluminum – and engraving already bright anodized aluminum results in poor contrasted, we needed to use special Transfer-Tape (CerMark LM6018) and Marking Paste (markSolid 904). The Transfer-Tape was used for the non-dense Designs (FRONT,BACK,TOP) – the Marking Paste was applied with an Airbrush for the denser populated BOTTOM.

the SVGs for FRONT, BACK, TOP can downloaded from the mcad-repository

“You have enemies? Good! That means you have stood up for something, sometime in your life!”

A few weeks back I detailed in a post a bit of money I obtained to spend guilt-free on some tools. I am here to tell you that I made good on that promise. Today I received the final tool from my Christmas in springtime tool splurge. It is especially a pleasant moment for me because all of the tools/hardware I purchased were hand tools and traditional items. So all of you out there who think I am some kind of enemy to traditional woodworking everywhere can sleep easy for at least tonight knowing that I also work in a traditional way at least some of the time; I just don’t spend my entire blog time blowing my horn about it. In actuality I didn’t spend much money, it was somewhere around $100. The rest of the money, coupled with a check I received today courtesy of the fine folks who run Popular Woodworking magazine for another tip I submitted, will be put towards the Hand Tool School woodworking course I am soon to be signing up for. With the money I have left over I think I am going to purchase a rip saw. Yes, that is a “traditional” woodworking tool as well. Sometimes I surprise even myself!

First thing I ordered with my mad money was Tremont cut nails from Lee Valley. I got an assortment of sizes when they were running a free shipping promo a few weeks back. I suppose I could have ordered them directly from Tremont, but they weren’t offering free shipping. I also picked up a Woodriver knife-style marking guage from my local Woodcraft store. The last thing I ordered, which came in today, was a traditional “egg-beater” style drill. To the delight of hippies, anarchists, traditionalists, cheapskates, and tool purists everywhere I ordered an old, used Stanley from ebay. The seller assured me that it was clean and in excellent working order. For $30 including free shipping I took a chance and it was well worth it. The tool is in great shape, aside from some peeling paint. Their isn’t a hint of rust, which was my main worry. The teeth on the gears are all chip-free, the chuck works nice and smooth, and the drill has just the right amount of slop in it to be one of those perfectly broken in tools that you love to own. The only thing I may do to it is sand the handle down and rub in a few coats of linseed oil. I think I made out alright for just one Benjamin.

After all is said and done I have just over $300 left for my guilt-free shopping spree. That will leave me enough to pay for the Hand Tool School, and possibly a Pax rip-saw, or maybe a Hock jointer iron+cap that I will need for a wood jointer plane project that I will get to hopefully sometime before the summer, or I could put the rest towards a plough plane, or a new table saw blade. I’m not sure yet, but right now I’m leaning towards the rip-saw. The next project I will be working on, a new top for my workbench, I already have the material for mostly. It’s funny how things work out; in the beginning of the year I was in woodworking despair, now I have so much going on that I need to find time to fit it all in.

TV However, inside the direction of sales stores inside the direction of know, “Mclane Edgers towards the countryside” television commodity charge ceiling is 3,500 yuan. Zouguo Ming said, already yardstick of living, some growers reflected grants is very complex but inside complement their compensate for of “home machines within the direction of the countryside” commodities initiative.

A few years ago I started my search for a plan B. I know I wanted to work from home but I wasn’t sure which route to go or even which work from home opportunity was best for me. After some research I finally decided on a work from home opportunity. I was very excited and thought I could hit the ground running and never look back. However that was not the case. Finding a work from home opportunity is just step one. The easy part. Learning the ins and outs of work from home was a lot more stressful than I thought it was. I was getting further in debt and more and more frustrated by my lack of results.

Gills Open is a experienced author who produces about posts significant to Home Improvement and Insurance topics. If you want to learned further about Myrtle Beach Insurance, navigate our website and we are glad and willing to serve you.

If you want more than bodyweight exercises and running/sprinting in your home work out routines, then you will need to have some sort of equipment, whether it be an Olympic weight set, a Bow Flex, a Total Gym 300, or something else. What, if any, is the best equipment to get? Workout equipment can be very expensive, and collecting a bunch of different weights and machines can quickly cost you a fortune. It is important to buy things that can be used for a wide variety of exercise and that can work out the entire body. Here is what I have found to be the most valuable and versatile equipment for creating home work out routines.

In the wake of the mortgage and financial crises, homeowner’s insurance companies are ordering home insurance inspections to reassess the properties they underwrite. These inspections evaluate the risk exposures and estimate the replacement cost of the homes. What you don’t know about a home insurance inspection can cost you a lot of money in the form of a canceled policy and/or increased premium.

When looking for a low-impact exercise machine, many people are turning to elliptical trainers. They can be used at home without considerable training and offer a vigorous workout without harmful wear and tear on the knees, feet and ankles. This is especially helpful for athletes looking for a complete body workout to complement other fitness programs without risking injury outside their sport.

Another type of tool that is very useful for home use is pliers. It is a good idea to have on hand a few types of pliers and at least one pair that has a wire cutter integrated into the design. A few different shapes of pliers will be useful, as well as one pair of vice grips which you can lock closed to help you hold on to things.

This completes part 5 of the condensed overview of some of the tools that are commonly used in beginning woodworking projects. As you can see, this topic could and has provided the content for entire volumes of books and in order to fully understand the possibilities in woodworking and create quality projects, it is critical that you develop a more in-depth knowledge of the tools you plan to use.

I just completed a rough Version 0.3 of stm8flash – a handy little tool that allows you to programm a STM8 over a serial uart interface (using the STM8 internal bootloader)

The software is based upon stm32flash written by Geoffrey McRae – many thanks to you that way. STM is using a similar Bootloader-Protocol for the STM32s and STM8s which made porting the flashertool not so difficult.

The stm8flash can be downloaded via sourceforge. It works as desired for my 32K STM8S105 device. But it is only designed to work with 32K devices so far. Also it is currently using the so-called “Reply” Mode, which is available on STM8A-128K, STM8S-32K, STM8S-128K and STM8L-64K. If you want to use this tool in non reply mode, then take a look at stm8.c and search for “REPLY” – it should be fairly easy to adapted to the other devices as well.

stm8flash also introduces a new flag “-d”, which stands for using the DTR-Line to trigger a device reset. (Arduino-Style )

Maybe in future somebody could try to merge stm32flash and stm8flash as the share a lot of common code.
What was really helpful for debugging the code and get the thing running, was a SALEAE Logic-Analyzer (with Software RS-232 decode functionality). It is definitely a powerful tool for such tasks.

Further this step just marks the first Milestone for the ongoing NetIdee-Project.

There was enough old wood lying around the barn to build a small house. We had also found a good am

There was enough old wood lying around the barn to build a small house. We had also found a good amount of chicken wire in various places — all of the materials to finish off our chicken coop. Our little leghorn ladies had been living in the 8×8 enclosed room in the sty. Now, the plan was to finish off the open section of the building, making it into a very comfortable 8×16 chicken coop for 25 egg laying machines!

Early Saturday morning, I began measuring and cutting the wood using the old Stanley circular saw I had purchased from the same man who sold me a used snowblower a few weeks back. Any time you get a chance to buy used tools on the cheap, it is usually worthwhile. The old Stanley circular saw ran like a charm and I managed to keep all of my appendages. The key was the two used folding saw horses that were in the yellow wagon with the cupholder — at the auction last week. I hadn’t realized what they were – it was almost like they appeared before my eyes when I opened them up to discover their purpose!

After the coop was framed out sufficiently, I moved the nesting boxes inside. I then nailed up additional supporting boards at various points, anticipating the need to staple the chicken wire into something. When I was ready for the wire, Tammi joined me and did the stapling. Within an hour, we had a completely enclosed chicken coop with 25 galvanized nesting boxes. We temporarily boarded up the side exit – previously used by the pigs who inhabited the place in years past to go outside. We planned to open this up in a week when the hens were ready to experience the outside.

Finally, around 11 am, we were ready to transfer the birds from the holding pen into the coop. Tammi spread hay on the floor and transferred the feeder and water bottle. I came up with a chute, using a couple of boards to channel the birds into the coop. Tammi went into the pen, and I made sure none of the birds flew out of the chute. Luckily, all but one waddled into their new residence. One bird had to be different and went the wrong way, getting tangled in some extra wire and boards. Tammi came over and gently picked her up and finished the job.

I suppose if I drank beer, this would have been a Budweiser moment — having transformed a bunch of old wood and wire into a chicken hotel extraordinaire.

It was about this time Brandon, Tammi’s 9-year-old son, finally awoke and stormed outside yelling for his mother. ”Mommy!” he shrieked in his high-pitched adolescent whine, “I’m hungry — make me breakfast!”

“You need to teach that kid to cook!” I said, walking with her to the porch.

Brandon was disappointed he had missed the chance to help build the coop. He was looking for any way to make ten bucks so he could buy some more Legos. I offered him the chance to do so by transferring one of the small wood piles to the barn using the yellow wagon. We were anticipating the arrival of our wood stove, and wanted to start moving some more wood into a dry location. Brandon enthusiastically accepted and began the job.

The lad really struggled to pull the wagon up the hill — and then had difficulty controlling it as he went back down with the cart full of wood. As he was stacking his second load, I was inside resting on the sofa, still enjoying the pleasant thoughts of my morning accomplishments.

“Mommy! There’s a snake!” yelled my stepson from the woodpile. I jumped up from the sofa, and pulled on my boots. I then grabbed my walking stick and the fireplace shovel and headed out expecting to see my stepson wrapped in the coil of a massive anaconda or dancing left and right in front of a darting king cobra. Instead, I found a copper and yellow patterned viper laying on a log — the boy just a few feet away.

“Step back,” I said.

“What are you going to do Baron?” said Brandon calling me by my nickname. “Are you going to kill it?”

“Yes,” I said, holding the snake down with the walking stick held in my left hand. The shovel soon followed, coming from the right, like a scene out of the French Revolution — the edge of the tool acting as a guillotine. Our 24 to 36 inch copper head has now in two parts. I tossed them into the pasture using the walking stick.

“Why did you kill it?” asked Brandon, somewhat upset.

“It was a poisonous snake,” said Tammi. He had to.

Getting Started with Woodworking Business

When planning to put up a woodworking business, first thing to consider are the equipments and the machinery needed for the operation. As a first timer, it is recommended to buy slightly used machinery to save money. When buying, you have to make sure you are buying useful machines for any project that you may have. You have to anticipate its future use.

Benefits

Most people nowadays are greatly affected with the crisis that the world is facing. Likewise, Woodworking industry suffers the same crisis. This problem may influence those who would want to get into woodworking business; it may lessen their motivation to pursue with the business. Buying used machines could be of great help to newby entrepreneurs in this business.

Buying cheaper used tools could mean more tools in your shop. More tools in your shop could mean a wider range of woodworking jobs. It will allow you to cater more woodworking jobs that may not limit on what you can do in order to improve your service to your customers. It will also enable you to finish jobs right on deadlines.

Where to find the best used Woodworking Machinery

There are several ways where to find the best woodworking machinery. You may find them on classified ads; there are slightly used tools that are usually posted in some tabloids. Owners of these tools take woodworking as a hobby and they may not have enough time of using these tools anymore since they may be busied with their jobs. You are fortunate if you find these slightly used tools.

Another way of finding the best second hand tools is searching on the Web; there are several woodworking machinery posted on the Web especially on shopping sites like Ebay. Prices there can be negotiated. Furthermore, the latest and most updated changes in pricing and modifications may be seen in the net.

Hi everybody – finally i found time to write some code for the Oggstreamer and i put to work some of the basic functions of the device. I started with the StatusLEDs and the VU-Meter …

There are some news: I switched to the IAR Workbench Kickstarter Version for STM8 because i like the Idea of having an all in on package for Firmware development – And especially when it comes to debugging i find this Software package quite comfortable. The preliminary Sourcecode for the STM8 Firmware got new git-repository, which can be found here. The Kickstarter Version is limited to 8 KB Codesize, which should not be a problem – i expect the firmware to be around 4KB big – the remaining 24KB of flash can be used to store patchfile updateimages for the VS1063

The first thing i implemented on the firmware are the routines for LED – Muxing. We are using one complete PORT (GPIOB) and some controll Lines on GPIOA to drive the LEDs. Timer4 is used to generate a 450 Hz Inerrupt and because we are Muxing 3 different LED-Rows (VU-LEFT, VU-RIGHT and STATUS) – each row gets updated at a 150 Hz Refresh rate. The CPU usage for the muxing is around 0,2 % which is little enough in my eyes.

I also tried to get the VS1063 running – but measuring the Crystal it showed that it is not oscillating – I also remembered that i had some shorts on the supply lines, because at first try the VS1063 was not proper soldered – maybe I killed the VS1063 and i have to replace it now – but this issue definitely needs further investigation.

My best wishes to all of you for the new year.

For this project we are using a STM8S Microcontroller from STMicroelectronics. To be honest using this Micro wasn’t selected through a carefull research, but rather through the fact that STMicroelectronics gave away free-Kits of this uC on a number of occasions. So i had those kits lying around at home. The STM8S is certainly a descent 8bit uC with reasonable pricing so i don’t regret this decision. But it has one big drawback in my eyes – for developing with this uC one has to use Windows Operating-system. Again on the other hand the development kit for this uC is dirt cheap and it provides an integrated incircuit debugger – which also has some limited possibilities for non-intrusive variable monitoring.

The IDE for developing this uC comes directly from STM – it is called: ST Visual develop IDE

The C-Compiler (freely available, limited to 32kB) comes from Raisonance

To monitor variables in Realtime – STM provides the STM Studio Tool

Under http://www.emcu.it/STM8.html you can find valuable information about developing on the STM8 platform.

Sketchup is free and simple. Yet it is a powerful tool for MCAD. I run Sketchup 8 and Sketchup 7 under WINE one my Linux computer and it works quite decent. So why am i using Sktechup 7 also? The answer: Google provided a DXF Importer for Sketchup 7 – which is not included in the Free Sketchup 8 Version anymore. From the PCB designer i get a DXF (including the height information of the components) – with Sketchup 7 the DXF is imported and saved. The resulting .skp file is opened with Sketchup 8 and automatically converted to the new Version.

For productions industrial products and equipments are utilizing by operations to maximize the manufacturing of their finished goods. Industrial products and equipments uses during the operation for manual control on motors and machines, with industrial supplies material handling of raw materials and finished goods all are accomplished.

Industrial Products & Tooling Components:

Tooling components are an important thing in industrial products and equipments, for operations of machining industrial supplies and equipments are playing a major role link, grinding, pressing, boring, lathing and drilling.

Identification And Prevention:

Those persons who have worked in construction, roadways and bridges, also those have retired from construction work for them industrial equipments such as hardhats and face shields are vital to preventing injury. As we know construction work can cause hearing loss which are two types of hearing loss such as instant hearing loss and elevated noise levels will cause hearing loss for long time. Loud noises cause these types of pain for humans.

Industrial Apparel:

Industrial Apparel of high quality is an important factor for humans during their work because high quality industrial apparel protects your body from any cut and other issues. Industrial apparel provides you a layer over your body and protects. It manufactures for so many issues and addresses more things like resist from flame and waterproof materials.

Industry Growth:

After the recession the industry is now still growing because of credit and continuous programs job openings are coming continuously in the sector of construction. Industrial supplies are continuously rising in demand as jobs are creating regularly noticed by the supply and demand basic laws. For humans, personal protective equipments and protective apparels are more important and necessary for the job safety and for the safety of the worker noticed by the regulations and compliance law.
